Pu essere usato come veloce memoria di massa di un PC oppure come piccola memoria esterna allo stato solido, robusta e insensibile a cadute o campi magnetici.
Prodotto da una azienda che nel coro degli anni ha saputo conquistare la fiducia dei suoi clienti grazie a prodotti altamente performanti e duratori ad un costo accessibile, questo uno degli ultimi nati in casa Samsung e promette prestazioni veramente elevate.
IMPORTANTE Ultimamente Samsung sta avendo diversi problemi produttivi su questi prodotti, segno che sta iniziando a badare pi al risparmio che sull’affidabilit.
Una volta installato installare SAMSUNG MAGICIAN per effettuare un aggironamento del firmware, in quanto presenta problemi di gestione dell’usura, con rischio di invecchiamento precode dell’unit.
Una volta aggiornato il firmware il problema dovrebbe essere scomparso.
A parte questo importante inconveniente l’unit velocissima e semplicemente eccezzionale.
E’ raccomandato l’uso in abbinamento ad un dissipatore di calore, ormai di serie su tutte le schede matri per PC.

Il a t reconnu et a fonctionn ds le premier dmarrage, qui n’as dure que qq secondes,
J’ai install le logiciel Samsung Magician qui permet de vrifier le microcode et d’avoir accs diffrentes infos sur le SSD.
Le microcode la livraison est le dernier en date soit le : 3B2QJXD7 , ce qui garantie le meilleur fonctionnement du SSD,
Apres formatage la capacit est de 930 Go pour le modle 1 To,
Concernant la tempratures en fonctionnement elle se situe aux alentour des 40 c sans dissipateur thermique ce qui est trs correcte,
Les taux de transfert test par Samsung magician sont de 6775 mo/s en lecture et 4039 mo/s en criture
,
A l’utilisation, aucun ralentissement, tout se charge rapidement !
Ce SSD conviendra tout ceux qui recherchent les meilleures performances !
This thing surpasses most of the SSD drives in this speed bracket, in my opinion totally worth it for the price I paid.
Using it for my PS5, with a heatsink. During tests, it was giving 6557MB/s read speed in my PS5. Game loading times are so tiny I do not even notice it anymore. If you plan to use this drive, make sure you are getting a good heatsink for it because it runs HOT.
As expected, with Samsung, you really do get amazing performance, I reach the speeds near enough, no issues with it, never had any with Samsung drives. Hoping for a 4TB version at an affordable price.
It looks as though the problem was that I had the previous version of Magician. With the latest, the SSD shows up as Genuine. Everthing else looks good. The 121 price was remarkable – I couldn’t pass this up. Very happy now I believe this is genuine.
This bad boy Is fast. It’s rare to get advertised speeds of anything, but I believe 7454MB/s Read and 6935MB/s Write, Is a gnat’s whisker over. Cheap as chips at the moment (pun intended).
Pity as wanted to buy another 990 pro but did not think Samsung was paying up so bought a WD Black 850X on Amazon Sale.
I replaced my A-DATA 1TB SX8200 with Samsung 990 PRO 2TB. It’s not cheap, but I can see difference in speed. It’s really worth it. Easy to install. I highly recommend.
Swapped out samsung 970 pro for the 990 pro… researched the thermal pad etc… placed it into motherboard. Noticed the temp has increased by 5c. Runs alot better than previous NVMe. Recommend this drive… speed difference is noticeable!!!
My use case is primarily video and photo editing I also use it for gaming too.
This is easily one of, if not the fastest gen 4 drives out there, it performs as it says on the tin.. howevber I would strongly recomend updating the drives firmware prior to using it for any heavy lifting or installing a large ammount onto it – the 990 pro has a firmware version from earlier in 2023 that was poor and causes some of them to brick for seemingly no reason.. so again – UPDATE THE FIRMWARE, asap and youll be dandy!

Excellent product but needed latest firmware flash easy to do.
Really easy install into my MSI GE73. Worked straight out of the box, no problems.
It is worth noting however that they both came with the known problematic firmware “0B2QJXD7” which causes massively accelerated degradation as seen in other reviews here, I had Immediately updated them both to the fixed “1B2QJXD7” firmware using Samsung Magician so do check your drives when they arrive, some may even have the update pre-installed.
Mine have been running for some time now with no problems.
This wasn’t recognised in my ASRock X99 Extreme4 motherboard at all – it wouldn’t even show up in the BIOS and I tried everything. However it did work fine in a friend’s newer computer as well as my PS5. Interestingly my motherboard did happily work with a Samsung SM951 and a Samsung 980 so bear in mind that even if you’re upgrading from an existing Samsung NVMe drive, you might still have issues with this one being recognised.
Where it did work, it was really fast so would definitely recommend it. Just remember to upgrade the firmware using Samsung Magician if you don’t want it to die an early death.
Swapping out my Dell Latitude 5420 stock SSD with this one was easy and the speed of this SSD is MUCH better than the original 256GB SSD my Dell had.
