It has taken a while to sort out setup and get tid of bloatware, but this is great piece of kit. Powerful enough for most uses. Very lightweight and lovely to look at. I have added mouse as touch pad is awful. There is only one USB port so you probably need a hub. My old laptop had same specs, twice the weight and twice the price. A bargain.
I was told that the book2 pro is the thinnest Ultrabook so the space are very cramp but they are wrong. In fact the secondary is not the non conventional 2230 nvme but it is a full 2280 compatible type. Simply clone to a 1tb and a 1tb spare disk. I bump up 8 times my storage at a cost fraction. Performance is great and true to it’s Ultrabook performance.
Perfect and on the right time,working amazing with bad wifi signal and hold battery power.
The laptop is almost perfect. The screen, the weight, the keyboard, everything works fine. I don’t think it is worth the full price, but if you can grab it in a sale, it is worth it.
There are two downsides for me:
– Welded ram. Because of the size, most of these thin laptops have welded ram, if you are planning to do more than simple browsing and office tasks, 8 GB of nonupgradable RAM won’t be enough.
– Fan noise. Sometimes at random, the single fan gets pretty loud, even on simple tasks. You can change it to silent mode but it will reduce the processing speed as well.
Absolutely fabulous laptop and the screen is amazing! I bought this laptop to travel with and is very light and durable. It is a joy to use it every day and my rucksack is not heavy anymore. I will get another one for my wife!
