battery could be better but charges quickly and easily lasts 1.5 to 2 days with all additional settings turned on.
One of the best wear os watches, but battery just does a day
I took the leap and moved from apple to Samsung. I love the Samsung watch, all apps work well, easy to use. Battery is long lasting… and, the colour is lovely
Love it . So many problems with the charging of my galaxy watch 3 I gave up this charges so quickly and not anywhere near as ofte
I was a little annoyed to find the charger has a USB C plug and all my sockets are USB A but easily fixed by buying an adaptor. A great watch with a lot of functions which I probably will forget to use but it works ridiculously well and looks great.
It’s pretty good in the fact that it can control Spotify Music on other devices and access a browser.
Brilliantly stunning and best watch I’ve ever bought. Can always trust in Samsung
I’m a long-time Samsung Galaxy phone user, probably on my 5th or 6th now, so the integration between watch and phone was dead simple. Everything just seemed to connect and work as it should. I would guess that integration with Apple phones may be less straight forward/satisfactory.
My wife bought this for me for use as a fitness tracker, for which it seems great. It automatically determines what exercise you are doing for things like walking and running, and this seems to work really well. We tend to walk a few miles most days and the watch seems to do a really good job of recognising that you’re on the move. I’ve downloaded the Outdoor Active app to both phone and watch (I’ve used it regularly on just the phone in the past) and the stats seems to match very closely with the Health App exercise profile.
The heartrate monitor seems very accurate (measured against my polar heart rate monitor with chest strap). I’ve downloaded an app which turns the heartrate monitor into a transmitter which send the reading to a Bluetooth connected phone app such as Wahoo. This seems to work really well too, providing you switch the watch to always on watch mode.
When I got the watch my wife asked whether I wanted to upgrade it to a pro. The only benefit I could see for my likely usage was additional battery life. This makes the pro both bulkier and about 150 more expensive, so I decided against it. Unlike many reviewers, I’ve not had any real issue with battery life. Having said that, I regularly make sure that I’m not running loads of apps in the background and turning off things like WiFi when I’m not using it. I don’t tend to keep it in always-on mode (in standard mode turning your wrist over to look at the watch switches it on for long enough for you to be able to tell the time, so no need). I also tend to put it in night-time mode for monitoring my sleep pattern, which also reduces battery usage. In other words there are lots of things you can do to reduce battery usage without compromising usability. There are loads of videos on YT which explain the ins and outs of getting the most out of the device. Apparently having a watch face with loads of bright colours, also can drain the battery more quickly.
All in all I think it’s a fantastic watch and one I’m sure I’ll get massive benefit from.
The only downside is the actual Samsung Health app which isn’t accurate. I suffer from Bradycardia so my resting heart rate is 48bpm, and exercise heart rate is 65-68 bpm, unfortunately the Health app whilst walking gives my heart rate at 115-125bpm which is ridiculously way out. Don’t expect a fix from Samsung anytime soon.
Overall pleased with watch.
