Bought 2 of these at Christmas for my son and daughters desktop setups, they are superb! The curve is really immersive, the clarity is superb, great for gaming, watching videos and general every day use. Looking for a slightly larger one for my own desktop set up now, another A* product from Samsung!

it was certainly a very good monitor. it did take a little bit to adjust to the HDR setting but overall it was a good monito

This is one hell of a gaming monitor. I run it with an AMD RX 6950 XT, and gaming has never been so good.
This monitor even has an eye saver function, and using both that and running the monitor on 144Mhz, you can use for hours on end with no effects to your eyes.

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGoing from a 24 4k to a 32 1080p was a risk
    But it paid off
The 144hz 1080p hits the sweet spot
I play call of duty on Xbox series x, the settings are perfect (check YouTube for best set up depending on Xbox or pc)
Truly incredible for gaming, I bought a cheap lead backlight that sits underneath to add a nice tough

Genuinely, this is the only monitor you need unless you want to spend 1000+

Grab it when it’s back in stock, I paid 254 for this so hopefully you don’t pay much more (check Currys etc)

    Amazing!

Incredible for gaming, don’t look anywhere else

I added two of these to my existing Samsung 32″ curved gaming monitor to make a triple screen racing and flight sim rig on my wide desktop. Although not the same model as the don’t make my one anymore, they match well enough for the two outer screens and I was able to get a close enough brightness and contrast by adjusting with the on-screen display settings. Overall I am very pleased with them.

Bought as my laptop screen died. Planning to upgrade to a desktop soon, so haven’t been able to use 144hz refresh rate yet as hdmi only supports 1440p 60hz or 1920 120hz, which is fine for now anyway. Good size, really like the curve and the picture quality is good. I use it for both gaming and adobe softwares such as illustrator. I really like it for both of these. Only thing I don’t like is the fact the stand can’t be changed at all and the button on the bottom feels quite fragile. Overall I’d recommend

Good monitor with 120Mhz and 144Mhz, for both consoles and PC. I’ve got one dead pixel, but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. Curved screen is fantastic for gaming, Modern Warefare II in my case.

Brilliant monitor. Recommended by my gaming group so I took a chance. No speakers but that’s no issue.

Also great for work and I have less eye strain. Just awesome.

    Brilliant monitor.

    I upgraded from a 32″ 1080p 75hz monitor and this was a big upgrade.
Way richer colours than my old monitor.
1440p 144hz seems like the sweet spot in resoultions for gaming.
My RTX 3070 runs this monitor great. HDR 10 looks ok on films.
Worth it if it’s on sale.

So after researching for weeks which curved 1440p monitor I should go for I decided to go for this as there was a good offer on it and I must say I was not disappointed!
Initially thought the 1000R curvature would be too much, I now realized it is not and for gaming it really is impressive!
Some reviews say, that one of the big cons with this monitor is that the it is not bright enough, but I would say as long as your not planning to do Outdoor gaming in the sun, you’ll be fine, lol. I personally usually play at nights anyway or if daytime, I pull the curtains to make the room dark and I really can’t fault the monitor. I had no issues in games like warzone or even vermintide 2, which has a lot dark areas.
All in all, a really impressive monitor and Samsung lives up to its’ name!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersStand is all plastic and flimsy. tilt adjustment is smooth and holds the monitor steady. Monitor rocks and wobbles at the slightest bump. Surprisingly easy to knock over considering the weight of the monitor. I have always highly regarded Samsung’s display technologies as some of the best on the market. I have had lots of experience with SONY TVs which use Samsung displays, and are absolutely tremendous pieces of equipment. Through this i thought i would give one of Samsung’s own monitors a try. This monitor was mentioned everywhere, everyone seemed to recommend it. The Display itself is brighter then i expected and had a more prominent curve than i was expecting. The Resolution and Refresh rate are a nice to have, The rated 1ms res times are a must have for gamers. HDR is Unusable, This is more in part to win10/11 rather than the display itself. Consoles such as the PS5 displayed a decent picture with HDR enabled but it was not enough to justify a price increase. HDR was one of the main selling points of this monitor, and it simply is NOT usable with a computer. colour accuracy and the colour presets were over saturated and overly vivid and warm. This was all fixable with some settings changes. colour accuracy, Although not accurate enough for any serious applications it was unnoticeable. For most it will be accurate enough. I compared it directly to my Laptop which has a Samsung display calibrated to 100% DCIP3. And it performed alright compared to my previous monitors and TVs.

So Overall, Too expensive for what it is. Cheaper monitors will outperform this one, Your paying a premium because it says SAMSUNG on it. The stand is plastic and cheap. The display is high quality and somewhat colour accurate. High refresh rate and resolutions are great. 1ms response times are fantastic. HDR is unusable on a computer but works FINE on a PS5.

Over Hyped and i over payed

Bought for my wife to replace her old monitor. She loves it. Excellent display, so far can’t fault it.

Good looking screen with a nice refresh rate but isn’t an ideal pair for the ps5. It is only HDMI 2.0 with no VRR and can’t play 4K games at 120hz. It’s old tech and it’s starting to show. However it is enjoyable and does get you immersed, just don’t expect to be playing CoD at 4K 120hz.

Overall it’s a decent screen but Yh it won’t let you turn on any of the new features on your ps5 like ALLM and VRR.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a great monitor, I picked it up “used”, meaning the box had been opened and Amazon aren’t allowed to sell it as new. Unfortunately that did mean that when I was putting it together, the screw that screws the feet onto the support was missing. Luckily I had a spare screw that was the correct shape and size to hold it together. Onto the monitor itself, it was my first time using a high refresh rate panel (display port cable not included for 144Hz mode only hdmi, with maximum 60Hz) it is incredibly smooth to say the least, minimal amount of ghosting, not noticeable in games. Good options menu as well, easy to use with the small cursor at the bottom of the panel. I would not recommend turning on AMD Freesync, it makes the colours and shadows really blocky for some reason. The HDR feature is very good, makes the shadows more pronounced and realistic. Also the monitor has a very wide base which takes up a lot of space on the desk measuring in about 55cm by 28cm, so you may want to considerif you have enoughspaceon your desk or not. Overall the Samsung Odyssey G5 27″ is a great monitor and will be buying at least one more for a multi screen setup, with minor flaws that anyone who isn’t a snob about the cheapness of it’s manufacture (sorry if any offence caused), but what do you expect for a cheap 1440p high refresh rate panel.

    Great Monitor, with Minor Flaws.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’m giving it 5 stars cause the monitor itself is amazing, the complaint is more regarding one of the monitors I ordered. So I ordered 2 of the monitor, one which I eventually got refunded and one I actually intended to use, and for the one that I actually use works great, looks stunning and has 0 issues with it. Now onto the main point, from the particular seller that I ordered the first monitor from (the one I refunded), the delivery was absolutely awful and was full of delays with no real description of why it was delayed, when it was initially ordered, there was no confirmed date in when it would arrive, and when it did arrive, just to test it out I set it up and there was this very annoying diagonal white line at the bottom right corner of the screen, and the box it came in was full of holes. Been trying to return it, since I got it refunded after being annoyed it was just getting delayed, but it’s been so awkward because when I order a Hermes guy to come pick it up, they don’t actually come, and I can’t take it to any shops for return because it’s too big

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe above photo shows a regular Samsung office monitor vs the “gaming” odyssey. It is substantially bigger than a regular monitor and so has a bigger power draw and lower efficiency rating which is understandable.

I would like to start off by saying this is just my experience and I cant speak for everyone but here’s my scope:

The monitor itself has amazing pictures quality, it works amazingly with raytracing and even just regular graphics cards which really helps you get more value for lonely out of your gpu as well.

The screen itself is not the brightest which for some is apparently an issue but it does look really good, especially with games like cyberpunk that have a metallic glare on objects and I find that at times it can even be too bright. That is just me though, however I think its the right amount of brightness.

It also comes with a really nice quality hdmi cable and a very sturdy stand.

    The downsides :
When I got the monitor it would not let me set it to 144hz despite trying windows and nividia control panel the option just wasn’t there and so I had to manually add it on which seemed a bit off to me but I’m not aware of anyone else having this issue.

Furthermore, the stand is not adjustable in the slightest so you better love the way it comes or you’ll have to spend extra for the comfort of adjusting, it’s not too much of a bother though since the screen is huge and the curve is really immersive so I see why it is the way it is.

Speaking of the stand, it is difficult to get your cables in so I’d suggest plugging them in then sliding the stand in, however however stand does come with a nice cable grip on the back which is a nice feature to help your desk stay tidy.

In addition to this, the colours on the monitor seem a bit watercoloured, as you can see In the picture linked the colours are a but green grayer and slightly more dull but it still performs extremely well in games, apart from dark shadowy areas which do give off a gross discolouration.

Overall I’d say this is a good monitor, definitely one of the better budget monitors when on sale.

    The Good monito
