Exactly as described
Very happy with the purchase
Couldn’t spend my money on a better monitor in it’s range
While not the cheapest monitor out there, if you play PvP games and want the best – this is 100% it. 100% the best thing I could give my system to show off my 30 series card to the best.
I see people have had issues not had single issue from day one now 5 months on runs same from day 1. Best monitor for 2k by far runs smooth and sharp got on offer from amazon warehouse was not disappointed but extremely happy.
The monitor was excellent value for money however mine kept losing signal, Tried changing the cables and ports however appeared to be issue with monitor and returned for refund.
The image is suer crisp from my MacBook for 2k video playback at 120hz. It even looks great from my old PS4 and while purists might say the HDR 600 isn’t perfect, it’s still brilliant (god of war looks absolutely stunning, even at 1080p) and as cheesy as it is, I love the RGB light on the back. I think it works especially well on my corner desk with the curve.
Regarding the curve, I had seen reports that it induces some kind of distortion in the image and, while you do notice the curve, it definitely doesn’t warp text or images at all, not that I can notice anyway. it looks just like a mini movie screen; regardless of where on the screen the content is, it looks brilliant.
Disclaimer; I managed to get it on a day that it was 24% off. At that price, it’s such a steal that if you’re looking for a new monitor, you should just get it. Even though it’s not at 4k, with my 30 year old eyes, I can’t see individual pixels unless I’m <20cm away.
With the in-built downscaling from 4k, it will suit PS5 and of course it supports a native output from an xbox sX. Unless your vision is better than 20:20, I doubt that you'd really notice the difference between 1440p and 4k at this screen size unless you really did want to sit so close that your breath fogs the screen...
First impressions are this monitor is absolutely stunning
So good I bought 2
This is my first monitor above 1080p, so I can’t really rate it against it’s competitors. All I can say is it’s awesome! I was looking for an upgrade and this was the monitor most recommended by gamer friends, and now I can see why.
A great size and quality, and perfect for gaming!
I’ve only had it a couple of weeks so far, but I would certainly recommend it at this stage!
I don’t use HDR so I can’t really comment on that.
One thing of worth mentioning is the software that this monitor uses is still not fully fixed as I did have screen flickering once and very very rarely some ghosting but both go away after switching back and forth one of the settings (black equalizer, eg +1 then -1) or turning the monitor off and on, otherwise the major persistent issues which everyone complains about are non-existent for the monitor I got.
Lastly, for the price of 470 this is a good deal and hard to beat.
I use this for gaming and it is great, the curve was putting me off buying it however I have no regrets. It is immersive and the picture quality is grea
I got used to the curve very quickly, I did not find it distracting for Productivity or gaming.
Using my laptop through Razer Core, games running through laptop or Stadia all look stunning.
Easy to build and setup.
Contrast is decent, if not passable for a VA panel.. response time and input lag are superb. Text is clear in windows and colours are good out of the box (calibrated 1.9 dE) so you won’t even need to calibrate it. Another nice thing is the RGB lights on the back and bottom sides of the monitor light up my back wall and desk nicely for some late gaming/movies.
A bit more pricey than other monitors but the extra features, premium build and low response and silky smooth motion makes its absolutely worth it, and then some!
Overall, I’m happy with my purchase
Really really good monitor. Only gave it 4 stars though because i run pc to dp and ps5 to hdmi1, if i turn by ps5 off the monitor will go standby instead of auto switching to the other active port, so you have to do it manually. Also same issue booting up first time of the day, have to manually power monitor.
Screen though, tremendous. My games look and play fantastic. 120hz 1080p on ps5, or 4k (yes 4k) 60hz on ps5 that the monitor scales to 2k.
