SanDisk probably the biggest player in the USB drive market, obviously great quality. Great conectivity which pretty much guarantees you will be able connect to everything. Has a nice software allowing you to back stuff up to it. I use this to backup pictures from the phone. Connect it to USB C the installed app for the USB opens up automatically and backup begins.
So far so good. It’s tiny so using the USB C side, two could sit side by side in a MacBook Air.
I don’t need this handy contraption to to mega fast, I just need it Di be reliable at a reasonable speed. Great purchase.
I have a couple of these, one that is on my key ring. It’s survived being in my pocket pretty well despite being plastic. It’s reasonably speedy when moving files. It works with my iPad Pro, MacBook Mac and windows laptop with no issues.
Read and write speed drops off sharply when transferring more than ~1Gb at a time.
Running H2testw, filling drive with 1Gb files resulted in:
Write: 27MByte/s
Read: 128MByte/s
For the first ~500Mb or so you can get faster write speeds: but quickly tails off to the 27MByte average.
Genuine drive and no faults so pretty happy
Exactly what I was looking for. It’s the perfect size to travel with or carry and is only as big as it needs to be. It also fully protects the connector.
If you grew up in the 90s carrying massive hard disk
Very good drive to have! A lot of capacity and it’s very small to transport too. Definitely worth it!
I needed to get some files onto the iPad and this works fine.showed up in the files folde
So far, there’s nothing I disliked about the memory disk. Received in excellent conditio
Excellent if you want to store or create a new external drive on your PC!
Plug n play – quick and easy transfers! SanDisk impressive as always!
There are two versions of this Sandisk dual-ended flash drive – this black one made of plastic, the other a silver one made of metal.
As such this is a much lighter memory stick. It is very quick to be registered by the host computer and data transfer is very fast.
The only downside is the plastic build of body and swivel cover. It feels a bit “delicate” and I worry something might break or become detached. So far though we’re okay and in use the drive works well and keeps cool, unlike the metal version.
It’s a great 2 in 1 USB. Looking at the pictures I thought it would be regular size but it’s much smaller. It’s tiny really which can be a boon but also a pain as it easily gets lost in a pocket. Works great for me – on Mac, Windows and Android phones. Comes with software to facilitate backing up media on your phone. You know these “photo sticks” that some enterprising companies sell for 40 quid at Christmas time? Well, this does the same at a fraction of the cost.
Wanted to use this on Linux to store ISO install disks. Works really well. Plenty of space. Can also store data to carry around and access on my phone using the USB-C port. It has Windows software pre-installed which I just copied off before formatting for Linux and Ventoy. Would definitely buy this again if I need another USB drive.
Works well. Hoping it won’t crash out on me for the foreseeable future . Watch out the usb A end, as the plastic around the pins breaks off easily after a while, especially if you store it with items in your pocket or on your keyring.
I think this is an excellent concept. It can plug in to either a USB A port or a USB C port which is incredibly useful as my older iMac does not have USB C but my new PC laptop does. It is very small. About an inch and a half long and less that half an inch wide. This enables it to fit beside other drives in closely spaced ports but it feels very flimsy. It is quite a tight fit on both ends which means you have to push it in very firmly. I have several Sandisk USB drives and it just doesn’t feel the same qaulity. I’ll keep it because it was a good price but wish I could have seen it before I bought it.
The good: Very small, USB-C and USB-A, and ~250GB usable (256GB version).
The bad: It can get hot while transferring files. It gets warm just from leaving it plugged in.
The ugly: Speeds. 30-45MB/s WRITES, 140MB/s READS over USB-C on a 2021 MacBook Pro (not a port speed limitation).
Overall: Good if you need the storage and want something small, but speeds are not great, which is a problem if you plan to transfer heavy files.

On a side note, it’s sad to see speeds on USB flash drives getting worse. I appreciate the extra storage, but the cheap 32GB flash drive I bought in 2013 is still faster than most of the popular flash drives here on Amazon today.
Storage capacity is good. Seems well made and size is conveniently compact. Bought as portable emergency storage for my phone.
However this drive wasn’t automatically recognised by my phone and had to be formatted in a laptop to work. Even after this it seems very picky about which devices it will work in.
I am still getting used to the swivel bit.
To insert / remove: hold the main bit!
Equally, reviews referring to slow?
Compared to a lower specification stick from the same brand, this is speedy gonzales.
It is USB 3.1 – one of fastest interfaces available, the device is for storing / accessing FILES; NOT running programs etc.
For that you need an SSD drive – 5 times the price or more!
Also if in doubt, buy directly from amazon, I don’t know if i’m being ripped off but at least I can be reasonably confident amazon are not selling knock offs.
If there is a problem amazon even arrange collection of a return – i’m housebound.
As I say, apart from it being TINY, therefore requiring more care, it is perfect for what I wanted – storing files off the main drives. Personally Identifiable Information as I am badly arthritic and rarely key in a login and password right first time.
Get it wrong verifying a transaction, your card will be autoblocked!
BUT I did notice it was VERY warm when I removed it last night – not HOT HOT, but as it holds just one file, concerning.
USB-C for new devices. USB-A for old printers.
SanDisk combines both USB male ports onto one memory stick:
Download data from new laptop onto the memory stick;
Scan documents from old printer onto the (same) memory stick.
The best of both words on one memory stick for ease of use and convenience.
– Overview –
I use a MacBook Air at home and work with windows desktops. Due to there being USB-A and USB-C connections this USB ticks both boxes. I bought the 128GB model which will hold pretty much anything you put on it.
– Appearance –
The appearance put simply is minimal, in a good way. The USB has a loop allowing this to be connected to a lanyard perfect for teachers or other professions. The USB is quite small and turns 360 degrees allowing the USB-A or USB-C port to be used while the other one is hidden.
– Use –
In terms of the use for me it works brilliantly. The USB itself is budget friendly, the speed works for me however I do not tend to move huge documents at a time so I’m not sure how it would hold up with GB files. I have found the USB can get warm however this is to be expected when moving files. I would love to use this with future devices which support USB-C to gain even more use from this.
– Conclusion –
My overall conclusion is that the USB is brilliant for those who need to move files to and from USB-A & USB-C. The keyring loop allows this to be worn round a lanyard or its small size to be slipped into a pocket. The range of storage sizes will accommodate people’s needs.
