SHARP PS-929 180W High Power Portable Party Speaker Hi-Fi

Absolutely fantastic used at parties & in garden well worth money.

After seeing a Sony party speaker in a store, I was interested in seeing what other, slightly cheaper options were out there. Enter the Sharp PS-929.
Good size, Easy connection via Bluetooth to my phone or Alexa for using Spotify.
Most of the time I use the volume at around 5 or 6 for use in the garden. I believe it goes up to 24!!
Lights aren’t too bright but I’ve not used it at night.
Microphone for karaoke is a bit of fun too

All in all, very impressed at the price point.

After doing a lot of research, I bought 4 different “Party Boom Boxes” with similar prices. This one was in a totally different league. The sound is amazing! I returned all the others and bought 4 more. I’m a professional sound engineer, mind you, and I can’t praise this enough. It’s a big boy with huge sound. It’s crisp and clear upstairs (high frequencies) and packs a punch downstairs (bass frequencies). All round slayer! This is grossly underpriced in my opinion. Forget the bigger brand names this is it!

Like the optional Bass boost as its already plenty loud in standard mode. Highly recommended.

(Edit after one week), I bought a second speaker so it can play in Stereo. The Stereo separtion sounds good enough for Bluetooth speakers. The Highest frequency like most Party Speakers seems lacking and people dancing, dont know or care. The abilty to select numerous Equaliser modes or quiet mode on the actual speaker, is a big plus.

(Edit after one month) I bought another two…so thats four of these bad boys, that will be on duty in various rooms.

What can I say….. I listen to everything, Pop, Rock, Soul, Reggae, Classical, Jazz, Funk, EDM and I am well pleased. Excellent value for money, highly recommend.

Decided to take the plunge after reading some good reviews on this and so far not disappointed, surprisingly powerful for something that’s rechargeable in fact iv ordered a second so will update,
Like a few others not keen on the flashing white light at the bottom so rather than spoil the aesthetics and put black tape over I carefully prized out the lense cover and taped directly over the 2 leds and put lense cover back on, looks fine,
Defo better wired from device than bluetoothed,
Now all I need is a party to show them off!!

This is a powerful speaker but I had to return mine as there is high latency on the aux input, which wasn’t fit for my DJ purposes of beatmatching. I can’t hold it against this one as many party speakers seem to be the same. I just couldn’t find anything that mentions this online so thought it’d be worth adding.

I opted for a PA in the end. It’s a shame as the Sharp speaker is a beast and great for the price and the device doesn’t deserve any negative reviews despite me returning it.

Excellent, exactly what I was looking for, the sound and bass is amazing let alone for a wireless chargeable speaker easy to use and ideal for BBQ’s party’s, home gym, even to take to the park, really impressed especially for the price range highly recommended

EQ on Spotify with my Android phone works with this Speaker so I could set it to my taste. It was bought for a garden party of 30 people when restrictions change.

I have a large garden surrounded by woodland at one end. So with trees, the wind, the birds and all daytime ambient noise you would think it would swallow up any sound but I only got it to 25 out of 30 yesterday with the speaker right at the far end of the garden and both my wife and neighbour came out. So its easily going to be enough for us old duffers.

I have good quality HIFI indoors with speakers on good stands etc so I was pleasantly suprised how well this speaker handled. I particularly like its large size in that I can just pop it down anywhere in the garden and it is fine. Also that it is battery. Its nce not poncing about with power leads and extensions. Luckily, at lower volumes its quite directional so I didn’t feel I was annoying neighbours today while I painted the shed. I just had it near me facing toward me. If I walked away 10’yards I couldnt hear it. So it can do subtle.

The lights are a nice touch maybe for a party. But I hate the strobe. i couldnt turn it off alone so I have stuck black duct tape over it. That was the only negative.
