Good machine , would of liked the saw to move back and forth to cut planks. All together though very useful
Think its over priced as it does look pritty cheap and plastici . Not used it yet but for of anount of use it will be fine
My first mitre power saw and I’ve been really happy with it. I’ve only needed to use it to make cuts to a depth of less than 5cm and it’s made then cleanly and evenly. Of the 2 supplied blades, I’m still using the coarse one and even on smaller material it’s making good clean cuts providing you don’t rush it.
The blade guard provides good coverage and a sense of security for beginners like me, and I’ll happily take the tradeoff in cutting depth for the safety it provides.
The only negatives are that Silverline manuals/user guides are appalling! Small form and minute print make you want to disregard them, but crack out the magnifying glass and give them a read as they do contain some useful information but be aware it’s not made particularly easy.
Overall, the hardware’s good, the documentation isn’t, but still a good tool for the money
Purchased as replacing 30m fence in my back garden. Good product that made work easy.
Great seller
I had to cancel the order.
There were no issues
Value for money. Would be good to have a guideline for cuts.
The item did the work it was designed for and I am well pleased with my purchase
makes my hobby a lot easier than a hand saw, quick delivery, easy to use and maintaine, would reccomend to others, but wont lend it anyone
Great value for money and helped complete the job it was bought for, had initially thought I would sell when done but have decided to keep as I’m sure I’ll use agai
product is good for the money, But the plastic base is a bit flimsy.be careful when fixing to a bench
Good mitre saw for home DIY’er. Good price. Cut depth is a little shallow and think I should have got a larger one. But thats not anything to do with this saw….. 5 Stars
So far pretty please with this, the saw doesn’t slide, but has served me very well for DIY duties, recently built an extension and bought this as a throw away saw, but its worked like a beauty, delivery was next day too, unexpected, but welcome. it is a basic disc saw, easy and safe to use, even for beginners.
RECOMMEND RECOMMEND!!
Saves a lot of manpower. The only faults I have so far are !: it scatters sawdust everywhere regardless of the collection bag being installed as per instructions and 2: the square setting on the adjustable table is not all that accurate. It is ok for chopping up firewood, but it needs to be adjusted slightly when doing a proper job.
Amazing value for money, I am not a tradesman by any means more of a have a go DIY’er but I used this saw to construct a reasonably large outbuilding and it coped magnificently. It’s still going strong, even after all the strain we put on it. Very happy.
I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of better chop saws available. However for the money this is a life changer. It has a foolproof finger guard and once set up on a workmate or similar efficiently and repeatedly chops wood. If I were a joiner I’d probably look for something more sophisticated but for what I need this is brillia
Cheap and cheerful chop saw. This thing gets upto speed really quick and it cuts clean.
For the price it is one of the best I have used, albeit a little light for my liking.
Well recommended.
My partner suffers from weakness and struggles to do hobbies due to ill health. However this really has made life easier – it’s so light that it’s almost unbelievable – I really recommend it (you’d ideally want a bench to clip it to).
Once you’ve taken the time to calibrate this (a bit fiddly but not at all difficult-read the instructions) it seems to be accurate. The main downside is the flexible plastic base- you have to be very careful if using the clamp on the fence, overtightening will cause the base to flex resulting in poor accuracy. Good for a dirt cheap mitre saw.
This surpassed my expectations even seeing the other five star reviews. Just went through 40 pieces of 1x2s in about 10 minutes taking my time. It’s not a cheap toy its a cheap solid piece of kit.
Couple of small issues, the collection bag doesnt work all that well but better than not having one at all.
Setting the saw for a 45 cut I noticed that things are a little off in the measurements, when sat at 0 its actually off by a small amount. needed to adjust the plastic pointer a little.
Worth it for price alone but does a great job despite the small little issues.
I returned it as i did not need it, however i did look at it and checked it out and it is really a solid piece of kit. Looks well made and looks like it would handle the task.
