Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEin richtig stabiles Stativ, sehr leicht zu bedienen, mit schier endlosen Mglichkeiten, die Hhe u d Ausrichtung einzustellen, egal ob hoch oder tief, es passt alles drauf, ob Smartphone oder Kamera sieht auch noch gut aus, ist sehr leicht auf- und zusammenzubauen und in der mitgelieferten Tasche absolut gut zu transportieren.

Funzionale ma touch and feel scadente

This is a very well made tripod, with excellent features, including a detachable leg for use as a monopod, smartphone adapter, and two quick release plates. Sets up quickly and securely. With the promotion, I paid less than 70 euro, which is an excellent price!

    I Highly rate this product.

As a Sports photographer i mainly use the monopod function. It has been great, easy and practical.

Well built and easy to use, even good on the eye.

I do like the wrist strap whilst using it as a monopod, an extra layer of security for my long lens!

Very stable and easy to use.
My only issue is one of the legs comes loose now and then, so have to tighten with an Allen key.

Arca swiss mount makes attaching my Nikon Zfc (with smallrig grip) very easy.

    Great for the price

Extremely impressed, I was going to spend 200-300 but so glad I didn’t, this tripod is strong and robust, much more so than it looks in the pictures. I am only an amateur but I know quality when I see it and this is it. For the money I would recommend this tripod to anyone. It is so easy to use as well the clips make it quick and easy to set up. I love it.

This tripod is excellent, I wasnt sure it would be compatible with my small Cookam, but the many fitting options this tripod has means that it can literally be used with any type of bold in camera. Gone are the days of purchasing the exact type of tripod for your make of camera.
The aluminium shell ensures that the product remains firm and sturdy and all the bolts tighten easily. The tripod is perfect for outdoors due to the compactness.
All in all it is everything you can ask from a tripod.

This is my go to run and gun tripod. Great build quality and amazing functionality, light and easy to put in your case when you go travelling. Also, you can use it like a monopod. Everything works exceptionally smooth, strong and stable. Just clicking the legs into place feels premium and the quick release really is quick release. Recommend i

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSmallrig has been winning me over with their well-made good value photo and video accessories. The 3935 tripod comes as a complete kit coming with a soft bag, spikes, an arca Swiss compatible ball head mount; and two mounting plates (complete with allen keys to remove the horizontal slip pins) and a pivoting phone mount.

There is a lot to break down in this complete kit. So will try and break things out into a few sections.

    Ballhead
The ballhead is very good. I tried it with my Eos R5 and a variety of lenses to see how it coped. With a ~1kg 24-105mm lens the ballhead was excellent; it was possible to adjust the tension so I could move the camera when I wanted but it stayed in place when I let go — this is a sign of a good ballhead.

It was less useful when I used it with a 6kg 400mm lens; attached via the lens shoe not the camera. So long as I kept things close to the horizontal it supported the camera and lens; after about 10 degrees the sag became difficult to prevent when adjusting positions as the weight at the front of the lens pulled it down further when tightening up. This is a specialised lens; and if you have one you likely have alternate choices for supporting it depending on the shooting you do. I just wanted to flat that heavy kit might not always get on with the ballhead.

The ballhead uses Arca Swiss plates; and two are included in the box. If you use peak design plates these work fine. There are multiple levels in the head, including the twist lock. There isn’t a locking release pin; it is held together by tension on the screw.

    Tripod

The 3935 tripod is made from aluminium and a lot of the contact points are metal: its intermediate sized and weight (likely) photo tripod. You can get smaller tripods for travel and heavier tripods for more weight or rigidity.

I swapped out the included head for a manfrotto hydrostatic ball head and the A first for me is Smallrig made the tripods mounting plate adjustable/ removeable — you can just unscrew it. I’m not convinced about that; the plate is usually part of the rigidity of the mount. I didn’t do tests on a super windy day — its 38c and calm as I write this.
The design is a fold over one, where the centre column is surrounded by the legs for transport. This takes up less space in your bag if you want to travel with it. When collapsed it’s about 40cm long; but about 14cm across. With 3 leg extensions and two extensions of the centre pole you can extend it all the way up to 1.8m.

Thanks to the quick release toggles on the legs its quick and easy to setup and adjust to the right height as well as pack up when you are done shooting. If it’s cold one of the legs has a foam section (something my 500-pound manfrotto didn’t come with…) so your hand wont freeze to the tripod in cold weather.

The twist locks on the centre column are easy enough to use; though it is a shame they aren’t the same switches as the legs. I vastly prefer the switch to twist log on tripod. You can see immediately if the leg is secured; whilst the twist lock style I am always uncertain.

The legs are configurable to multiple angles supported by a ratchet style mechanism. The red metal tabs at the top of each leg allow you to choose the angle you desire and lock it in place. This includes a very wide angled leg to give a low to the ground shooting option — though the centre column doesn’t have a super short option, so you end up with your camera about 50cm height from the ground anyway. If you need to get low to the ground, you can reverse the centre column and get very low to the ground. The centre column has a bag hook; if you use it make sure your bag is on the ground, so it doesn’t add vibration.

One nice touch is the tops of the legs have screw threads that let you screw on accessories like a LED light (photo)

    Supported Weight
It happily supported about 9kg combination of my ball head, Eos R5 camera and a 6kg 400mm F2.8 lens on it. The tripod let me take long distance photography without visible shaking (with the lens stabilisation turned off.)

    Monopod
You can also remove the centre arm and one of the legs to create a monopod. I personally have never really used a monopod; though if you need stealth to get into a place that doesn’t allow tripods you could conceal it as a walking stick. There is a strap if you are using it as a monopod to help you keep a hold of it (really have included everything here.)

    Feet
The 3925 came supplied with normal rubbery feet attached; but there was a bag with 3 spikes included. It’s easy to swap them out without tools by simply unscrewing one and replacing with the other.

    Overall

If you are starting out and want a tripod or want to move on from a cheaper flimsier tripod this is a great place to start. Smallrig really are on a tear with great photo products. Unless it was for a b camera, I don’t think this is really for professional use; it’s not quite sturdy enough for professional video equipment. On a beach or in a field taking landscape photos it works fine. The ” thread mount ports at the top of the legs are utter genius and make the proprietary port on my main tripod look foolish. I expect everyone will be copying that feature in the future.

    All in one tripod ki
