It works well if you follow the instructions.
Not so good if you don’t!

Much of the detailed instructions are in foreign, but it isn’t all the world to figure it out.

Don’t like drinking flat water particularly but sparkling is ok. Got this over prime day sales and it’s making drinking water a more positive experience. Water doesn’t seem to hold the bubble for an extended period of time but it doesn’t take too long to get through the size of bottle supplied with it. Like that means I’m drinking more water and that there’s less plastic being used and it’ll definitely work out cheaper than buying sparkling water. Overall pretty pleased with the purchase

Easy to set up and great taste. So far I love it. Just a bit unsettled as to why mine only has a black lever at the back instead of a pink one but apart from that I can’t fault it.

It was easy to use as I took a look on YouTube for instructions. The Soda Stream instructions I had delivered was in 100% German. The box all in German. The product warnings on the bottle was in German. Got a bulk deal in German Soda Streams? The price of flavoured sparking water has increased dramatically over the last year in my supermarket. Time to take control.

I bought this as a gift for my brother he uses it every day, he buys the Fanta syrup and energy drink one and said it tastes exactly like buying it from the shop!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI drink mine with Pepsi and I love soda stream now! I’m a regular customer! Be sure to try purchase directly from Pepsi/soda stream on Amazon as deliveries are much faster and you get authentic c02 tanks that actually do fizz around 60 litres (tested this and got through all 6 Pepsi syrup bottles! Soda stream website offer very late deliveries compared to Amazon so it’s best order everything here!

Bought to make sparkling water as we buy & drink lots of it!
Slight bleach taste when we the made the first batch, now using water boiled & cooled from kettle in case it too much chlorine from tap water.
Partner seems happy with it- bit expensive, especially if you buy the syrups extra bottles etc

If you just want to enjoy tap water in place of sugared drinks, carbonation is the way to go. I’ve not experimented with flavours yet but fizzy tap water tastes sweetened. It stays surprisingly fizzy even in a half-empty bottle.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood product but the instruction manual is not in English! Had to download the English version, but in saying that it is very easy to set up. Will definitely pay for itself within a couple of months as I buy a lot of sparkling water!

This soda stream is a great way to create your own fizzy pop at home.

    Simple to set and use.

I would say the syrups can be a bit pricey.

Overall is a fun piece of equipment and the result are great.

Last time I used a sodastream was in the late 1970s. The design has improved since then and now can make a litre of drink. It’s good that a popular manufacturer of fizzy drinks also sell syrups.

Just received delivery today but very pleased with purchase and operation. Please note that the unit I received had instructions in German only and details on box as well. Not a problem as UK instructions available on line.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersArrived v quickly and well packaged. Very simple to fit CO2 capsule and it’s ready to use. Fizz is great so happy. Only annoying thing is that the instructions are in German in the UK. Irritating for quick referral needs but you can Google for the instructions which include safety. Recommend and hope it stays positive down the line. There is obviously a continued cost in replacement of CO2 capsules which aren’t exactly cheap; but you will get fizz in your water, as well as helping to reduce your carbon foot print. Enjoy your fizz!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI was using so many plastic bottles of water, it seemed much better to get a soda stream. Love it! And it’s better for the environment! Dont use any of the flavours so cannot comment – I just like fizzy water.

Got a great price on Amazon (30 cheaper than all major High Street stores). Easy to follow set-up instructions. Supplied with one C02 gas cylinder. Just insert the gas cylinder and close the back of the appliance. Fill the supplied bottle with tap water, clip it on the front of the Sodastream and depress the button on the top for between 3 and 5 times (depending on how fizzy you’d like your drink). Remove the bottle of fizzy water and add your favourite flavoured syrup to create an authentic-tasting beverage. No syrups are included. Branded syrups (Pepsi, 7-up etc along with generic fruit flavours are available separately on-line, or through selected High Street retailers)

This soda machine is very convenient if you happen to crave some sparkling water but do not wanna go to the shop. The biggest coins are that the bubbles doesn’t really keep well, and the refill costs around 15 which is ridiculously overpriced for something that must likely costs a few pennies to make. But overall I think it is worth getting it.

I can’t believe I didn’t buy one of these sooner. I’ve been wasting money buying soda water bottles from supermarkets. Now I have this soda stream machine I’m helping the environment by not throwing away plastic bottles. The gas didn’t last as long as I hoped but I feel I used the machine a lot, like 2-3 times a day. Love the Pepsi syrups you can buy, but happy drinking plain soda water. Good package bought in prime day deal

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad one in the eighties and have just bought this model. I’m drinking so much water now it should be marketed as health food equipment. Very easy to use, and you get a quality result. Why have I been buying fizzy water all this time when I could have been making it at home? I don’t know how long the gas will last but we’ve already made a lot of fizz.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe use this pretty much every day.

Much more convenient to just buy the syrup rather than having to carry large 24 can packs home from the shop

Not a lot cheaper, maybe doesn’t taste as good as the canned stuff, but close enough.

Trading in the old CO2 cartridge is a faff so that could be made easier, it takes quite a bit of paperwork and time at Curry’s but it’s OK.

Very convenient and easy to use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersObviously it injects carbon into water to create fizz. Annoying it included leaflet with site address to get 10 off first gas exchange (which I think may have been a rather expensive option in the first place since they can be bought elsewhere for less than 10). They stated cookie options, then ‘see policy’. Against this – zilch.
Not a criticism of item, but this was bought on ‘prime day’ showing a substantial reduction. Afterwards same item selling for 3.01 more than my ‘bargain price’.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSimple to use can be used by my son who has mobility issues with his hands. Well made, been used most days. We have also used regular cordial after carbonation. Stats fizzy in bottle for a week. Only downside I need to buy another bottle so once I’ve made a big bottle we can decant it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPicked up one of these as we had one when I was a kid in the 1980s and I wanted my daughter to have the same fun experience. Back then there were loads of different flavours and they actually tasted really good. The 2023 version is a little different. There are only about four or five official flavours and the three we tried tasted disgusting. We then tried using squash and it worked really well. Before the invention of sodastream my grandad used to make me and my brother a drink called Bug’s Blood. It was just blackcurrant cordial with soda water from a jet dispenser thing. But we loved it. So now we have Bug’s Blood and a host of other fizzy squashes. Orange fizzy squash tastes just like fizzy orange, as do most squashes, and they are cheaper than the yukky official syrups too.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFor many years, we’ve been buying Schweppes tonic waters (yes, we do like our nightly G&T tipple). With the cost of things rising, I was astounded how much we were paying a year in tonic water, not to mention the amount of plastic waste we generated. So I opted to get a SodaStream. Best thing I’ve done. Not only does the SodaStream Diet Tonic syrup taste just like Schweppes diet tonic water, the SodaStream produces perfect fizziness, quickly, and easily. I think it’s probably the best thing I’ve bought in a long while.

Just a tip, make sure you read the instructions on how to fizz the water!! Make sure there is a gap underneath the bottle before you hit the big “fizz” button on top. I didn’t for one bottle and ended up with a fountain that rivalled the Vegas Fountains of Bellagio! Cats were none too impressed as was I covered in water (totally my fault).

Fantastic product for saving on the cost of you favourite fizzy drinks, and reducing plastic waste.

Great value for money. Have always wanted a soda stream, 20 years down the line and we finally got one! Worth the wait, a really nice sleek stylish addition to our kitchen worktop. Saves having numerous part opened bottles of Coke etc in the fridge. Tastes great and keeps its fizz. Pound for pound, although the replacement cannisters are pricey it works out cheaper than buying cans / bottles of drink.
