We were given a pair of these boots to wear by the tour company on an Arctic trip. Wanted to buy some when we got back because they are brilliant snow boots. The grip is excellent and I know from our trip that they keep my feet warm down to -20. They are completely waterproof too.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought these boots for a holiday to Iceland and I was so glad I did. My feet were toasty all the way round, a real change from the frozen and painful feet I usually end up with! Purchased them in the summer and got a a much better price than in the winter! After 2 weeks they were still looking fantastic, and you could fit on walking ‘spikes / crampons’ when the weather got icy! Do your feet a favour and make cold toes a thing of the past!

Super cosy, ideal for Raynaud sufferers!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo comfy and warm. I went with my actual size because I’d read that they bed in. When they arrived I was worried I’d made a mistake because they were very tight with my thick socks, however it didn’t take long wearing them with a slightly thinner pair for the inner boot to bed in. They are now just like really warm outside slippers.

Had to return – very wide for my narrow feet unfortunately as they look amazing

Beautiful boots that are super comfy and warm! Very eye catching design that allows an effective snow boot to be fashionable. I love wearing these to work or on long walks, they keep my feet so warm and dry. Very useful in the autumn/winter months.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersI’m a bloke and wear a size 7 but since Amazon have asked I will attempt a review. Amazon suggest that I could mention ,”comfort” what the heck fabric conditioner has to do with these boots I don’t know! “Style” for any Eskimos out there these may be attractively stylish and “value for money” if they bring peace comfort and joy to my wife’s feet when she wears them this coming winter then they may be. Given that it’s averaged about 24 degrees since they arrived and our holiday to America got burned off then they have yet to be tried and tested. However I sum up my review by saying I love them , they look smashing and if I could i’de be a woman just to enjoy these boots. Get some, no matter your age your sex your religion your creed your colour your ethnicity your political persuasion , just get them. You won’t be sorry….honest. This review is not sponsored by anybody…mores the pity xxxx

A lot of reviews have suggested that the actual size of the boot is bigger than its specified size and that buying a size smaller would be better. Fortunately in my case, I opted for my actual size and it fits perfectly. A size smaller than I take would certainly have been too small for me. So if you are a 7, buy a 7. Unless I was just very lucky.

These boots are so warm and comfy to wear. Definitely do the job, but they are a little bulkier than I was expecting.

These boots are gorgeous! I’ve got very wide size 6 to 7 feet and I bought the 7.5 size. They fit perfectly. I wear them with medium thickness socks. Super warm boots. Perfect for snowy weather. Well made. Worth the money, though I was lucky as mine were bought in a sale.

Love these boots, the 2nd pair I’ve bought as they are so warm and waterproof, perfect both for chilly beach walks and snow days. I bought half a size smaller than usual and they’re perfec

Definitely consider ordering a size up. They are fantastic hard wearing boots but I’m a “small 5” and a 5 was very tight on me and needed a lot of wearing in. Wish I’d got a 6 and worn with thick socks.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBrilliant, I was really worried how these would fit, I saw reviews where they told you to up a size or down a size so I was seriously considering ordering half a size up but I’m so glad I went for my normal size in these they fit perfectly. The boots work really well, I’ve found when you sit or stand still for any length of time you can feel it’s cold but your feet are still OK and soon as you move they feel nice and cosy. I’ve even noticed how cold my legs actually feel which I never had before but my feet never get too warm they just stay a nice cosy temperature. They are a bit heavy but they are built for a purpose and work and as I needed snowboots that are waterproof these really fit the bill. Really recommend these.

Very comfortable and teue to size! My toes haven’t been cold ever since I got them. The only thing I would like to say is that they are very wide, my feet aren’t particularly narrow, but I still have room at the sides. It doesn’t cause any slipping though, so it’s totally fine.

Came into their own during the recent snow. Very warm and comfortable. On the sorrel website they show that they are meant to be sleigh bigger than your normal boot to allow air to circulate and allow for thick socks. Great grip on snow and on icy ground.

I have decided to return these boots as they are so heavy, however, they are super comfy, amazingly warm and if I lived in a place where the winters were up to -40 dgrees I would keep them! I’m opting to swap them for the Carnival model which is a very similar boot but weighs less. I have fairly wide feet at a UK size 5 and found that ordering my usual size was fine.

This year I’ve had trouble trying to find a comfortable waterproof boots. I’ve ordered many and sent them back. I’m a size 6 but went for the 6.5 because it was a lot cheaper. They make my feet look massive but they are warm and comfortable. I can get them on and off easily and I can wear 2 pairs of socks with them. It snowed yesterday and they were great in it. My feet stayed warm and dry and they weren’t slippery.

I have big feet for a girl – size 9. These boots are chunky! But the are so cosy. Will do for going out in the snow to clear the drive, walk to the shop, walk the dog etc but they are too heavy and chunky for long winter walking like hillwalking etc

They are well made sturdy and should face a good few winters

Great product. Seems sturdy and well made. Heavy. The only thing I would add is the sole is a softer rubber as it’s meant for snow etc so I won’t be wearing them on concrete etc for long walks as this will I expect wear the rubber soles down quicker.

Bought a pair for my usual shoe size but just a wee bit too snug. Returned for 1/2 size bigger and they’re perfect. Impressive return – very easy and new pair arrived next day. Love the look – have worn for walks of a couple of hours – boots are quite heavy but more importantly they are comfortable

Very cosy boots my only issue is that I felt they were a bit clompy and heavy but I wore them around the house and soon got used to them, they are definitely good for people with wide feet or bunions very comfortable.

Golden Review Award: 31 From Our UsersThese boots have not disappointed and are probably the best waterproof all terrain boots I’ve ever owned….and I am a footwear compulsive buyer! Very warm and lined with a faux fur they take a bit of bedding in and can feel a little small for the expecte size until this happens. The suede upper allows water, including sea water to run off without wetting the material at all (mine have been trialled through sea water, muddy puddles and waterlogged fields), easily cleaned of mud with a damp cloth leaves them as new. I trialled the waterproofing all the way up to the moulded inner tongue level and there was no breach of the water tightness. The rubber sole has deep treads which provide grip on most surfaces, the only surface I slipped on was a seaweedy rock surface but don’t think much would grip onto that! The boots are so well made they’re going to provide a long time of dry, comfortable and warm use through a lot of muddy dirty terrain….in fact they’re so sturdy I can’t imagine having to replace them! Quite possibly the best pair of quality mucker /Wellington boots out there. Can’t recommend enough!

They will be very warm in the snow but they are very heavy to wear. Definitely for extremely cold weather.

Great boots, but sizing is off. I ordered size 7 (Im size 6/7 normally) at 1st thinking it will be big enough with woolly sock. I could barely get the shoes on even with just thin sock. So exchanged to size 8 which unfortunately are way too big for me.

These boots are brilliant so far. Comfy, toastie warm & waterproof. I’m a size 6uk but ordered a 5 1/2, a little on the heavy side for long distances, but will tone the calves nicely. Really pleased with this product.

I LOVE these boots! Super warm in cold weather because the fleece lining does a great job. Will take pretty much anything you can throw at them. Great in the snow as the soles are really grippy. Great for rugby try lines in February! They do tend to collect a little mud as the treads are quite deep, and the chunkiness makes them a little heavy, but you feel pretty invincible in them! I think they come up a little large – don’t order up a half size cos you want to wear thick socks as there’s plenty of room in there.

  26. Anonymous says:

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI love these boots. I am a size 6 and ordered a size 6. Initially I thought they were too small/tight however the liner has settled and now they fit great. Do not be fooled into thinking they are too small and ordering a size above as when the fleece has settled they will be too big.

Love these boots & they are perfect what for they are supposed to do, a little bit too wide & chunky for me but that’s just an aesthetic thing because the quality of the boot is fantastic. Much controversy & many different views on the sizing was a little off putting, I just picked my own size & they fit just fine with thick socks!

Amazing product. Very comfortable and useful boots. I use them every winter for Canada, where I’m stuck for days at -40/-50 degrees and lots of snow. My feet always stay dry and warm. They are very good for snowmobile ride too!!
Would definitely recommend it and the best boots out there for very wintery conditions.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersThought I’d wait until I’d worn these on a trip to Iceland before writing a review. I’m happy to say they kept my feet warm, dry and protected in the snow and ice. I wore them on day trips to the waterfalls, glaciers and black sand beaches where the snow was about 8 to 18 inches deep and temperatures ranged from 3 to -9 degrees.
The only time my feet ever actually felt cold was during a night time excursion to see the northern lights.
The grip was adequate and I walked around the sometimes icy paths of Reykjavik with confidence. The boots felt slightly heavy for the first few minutes of putting them on but didn’t affect my natural step. The fit was slightly on the loose side (even though my feet usually require a wider fit) but I only wore one pair of socks with them.
They were easy to fasten and put on/ take off and kept my feet warm, dry and comfortable.
I was looking for sturdy, quality footwear and these boots certainly fit the bill.
I have given 5 stars because the product looked like it does in the photo, the delivery was prompt, the condition of the packaging was good and the product met all my specifications.

Obviously had been to a previous customer as the packaging had been removed and a little off putting as they were untidily packed and gave the appearance of being well handled

Usually I wear a size 5 shoe, so I brought both the size 5 and size 5.5 to see which fit better- I have kept the 5.5s as the size fives were a little small even when I was in thin socks.
The 5.5s are perfect! I can wear them with any socks and they never rub because of the insulated “sock” in the boot (this can be removed if it gets wet and dried easily). I used my boots working at a festival in the alps so was stood outside in the middle of the night in the ice and snow… I was one of the only ones who had warm feet!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was really worried about the sizing as some reviews said go for your normal size and some said go 2 sizes down, so glad I went with my gut feeling and ordered my regular size, I am always size 6 and size 6 fits perfectly with pair of warm socks on, so I would definitely recommend to go for your normal size. The boots are very bulky ( not super fashionable) but they are snow boots, so not your regular day in town boots. They are very comfortable and surprisingly lightweight. I managed to get them during Black Friday deal for just over 63, so well worth the money

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersMake no mistake about it these boots are big, and heavy, but they are designed to be for grip in the snow. I’m normally a size 5.5 in my trusty Merrell’s so that’s the size I ordered, I should have gone 1/2 a size down as they are a little too big but nothing a thicker or 2 pairs of socks won’t fix. Basically these are a shorter fancier welly boot, they are never going to fit like walking boots and they are not meant to. They do a splendid job of what they are designed for, keeping your feet toasty and dry in horrid weather. Perfect for dog walking, and the extra weight of them can only be good for your leg workout!

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersYou don’t want these to be too snug otherwise you lose the insulating effect. We thought long and hard about which size to buy and in the end for chose normal shoe size. We purchased these and a pair of size 8. Both fit comfortably with enough room for really thick (the thickest you can buy) winter hiking socks as well, leaving an air space around the foot. I would definitely recommend not going larger than normal shoe size. We did this for the size 8, going for a 9, and had to return the 9 and replace with the 8, even though the mountaineering boots, which fit snuggly are size 8.5.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAs other reviewers have said the sizing is confusing. I wear an EU 38 which by the Sorel size chart is a US 7. But I know I take a US 7.5, so the two did not equate. As Sorel is a US company I decided to go for a US 7.5 and they fit perfectly (I wear them with a thick gumboot sock). Lovely and warm and comfortable straight away. Good grip in the snow and waterproof.

5.0 out of 5 stars Toasty warm boots

Good sturdy boot which kept me dry and warm on the slopes as I watched, rather than skiied!! Gave it 4 rather than 5 because it was a snug fit – ok once on but had to really make an effort to get them on in the first place – suppose that’s not a bad thing if it means they are not sloppy and therefore do the job!

  38. marketinsightsreports.com says:

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs I bought them purely for practicality of warmth and dryness they do a great job. Standing for hours on the sports pitch leaves me freezing every time, but these definitely do the job. They are very chunky and come up rather wide and probably half a size too big but not enough to send them back. Glad I bought them. Definitely not for the stylish glamorous look though!!!!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI was worried about which size to get but as there were so many mixed reviews, I decided to stick to my regular size. The boots are very chunky but hard wearing. Unlike a number of heavy duty snow boots, I found the Sorel Caribou to be incredibly comfortable and warm. I wouldn’t recommend these boots to women with large feet. The rubber surround makes them look a lot bigger than your regular shoe size but if you’re not too vain about it, id definitely recommend them.

  40. LonaWLVKzeevys says:

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThese boots can tackle anything, from rain, deep puddles to snow, deep snow. They even have some grip on ice and they are warm and very comfortable.
I love them and cannot imagine why I spent half my life with Moonboots.
In terms of size, after reading a million quite contradicting reviews, I had gone for my exact size (I am a 5) but they were a bit too tight with snow socks (unsurprisingly).
So in the end I went half a size up (5.5) and they work like a dream, leaving me plenty of space to keep warm, even if I put 2 socks at a time, without creating blisters or any problem on the shins and whatnot.
    I would really recommend them.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFit as expected and I really liked them however I returned them as they are clumpy to walk in due to their bulky soles and I knew that beyond my snow holiday I probably wouldn’t wear them for general walks.

  43. AnjaHansen says:

Very heavy, easier than expected to walk in considering the reviews. I haven’t really been able to wear them this year, the snow is usually much worse than it has been but I can’t wait to try them out on skiing trip in the future. I’ve wanted a pair for ages and they didn’t disappoint.
