Had problems with the app crashing, but the Tokit team worked their socks off to help me fix it. Now working perfectly. They were understanding and helpful to the enth degree, I couldn’t praise them enough.

Easy to use, continuous temperature control makes it possible to poach eggs at low settings! Timer easy to use.

Love this hob, I’m using in the kitchen at home to save energy and will also take camping. So great to control heat. So quick to boil and simmer.

Can’t fault this at all. We’ve had two other induction jobs, of different makes, and this is the first one that works how we want it to. The temperature control works like a dream and the minimal controls are just perfect. I just hope it lasts longer than the other two

Probably the best portable induction hob in the market right now for its price bracket. Just press the button and turn the dial for your temperature control and thats it. You could just turn off the wifi like me as there is no necessity for it.

I would have rated it 5 stars if not for the whizzing noise. If ever the same thing happens to you just readjust your pan.

As a professional Chef, I need to use and rely on my cooking equipment to be of the highest standard.
I was searching online to replace a broken commercial induction hob and this unit ticked all the boxes.
It is a lot slimmer, neater and quieter than my previous induction hob but what really set it apart is the heating control.
To achieve varying cook levels, my previous hob would just cut in and out continuously to enable lower or higher heating levels but with the Tokit hob the control knob rotates from 0-99 and maintains the setting level with far greater accuracy at all levels from a low simmer to a rapid boil.
Pricewise, it was also somewhat of a bargain – one look and you can appreciate the quality.

We’ve been using TOKIT’s Induction Hob Pro for over a week (daily) and we love it! This is by far the best induction cooker we’ve used.
Easy to open yet secure box, clear instructions on what to do and what not to do.
We’ve connected it to the Mi app as per instructions (it was such an easy process!), and started cooking!
The app has a multitude of options so we picked pancakes to start with. They came out great!

Cooker kept a stable temperature throughout the cooking process. There was no need to fiddle to figure out what temp we need to set it to even tho there are 99 levels we could choose from.

We’ve made a chicken broth, cooled it so it became pretty much a gelly, and then decided to heat it up and see how long will that take. It didn’t take long at all. But again, this is a cooker so this is what is supposed to do.

Then we came up with the ultimate test. The test to rule them all, SOFT BOILED EGGS!
Well, let me tell you just this… picked a program in the app, put eggs in water, and after 8 minutes we had the best soft-boiled eggs ever.

    This is absolutely amazing!
We’ve never expected this induction cooker to be that great!

    Well done TOKIT team!

Soft boiled eggs were never easier to cook!

TOKIT Razor Cooktop Portable Induction Plate Pro

Having had both a Tefal and Caterlite induction plate, I feel in a position to review this. Build quality is second to none, the TOKIT is heavy enough to make sure it doesn’t move on your work surface cooking on but light enough for it to be truly portable. It is made of what looks and feels like anodised aluminium and glass, and has a truly premium feel with the touch buttons, OLED screen and rotating easy use dial.
It is a smart device so if you want (not necessary) it can connect to your Wifi and utilises a phone app for both IOS and Android. As said it is perfectly functional without this connection, but the advantages of connecting are complete precise control of the temperature, firmware updates, customisation of own settings and recipes (i.e. we have added a Fondue setting, where the OLED display Fondue, the temperature is set to 7 and time the device is on is 20mins, impresses everyone who sees it). Talking of temperature, this device seems very accurate due to the clear sensor that is in the middle of the induction plate that is in physical contact with your pans. The other induction plates I previously had seems to be more of an ON-OFF type devices and I found it very hard to keep a liquid at a simmer rather than full boil or off boil.
Fan noise can also be a problem with these as people expect them to be silent like the built-in induction hobs, The previous ones were noisy but TOKIT although you can hear the fan it is not intrusive or loud which I was particularly pleased about.
All in all I’m really pleased with my purchase and honestly believe this device is worth the price due to the added features it gives and control over the competitions devices. I’d rate this 10 out of 10 for looks, quality, usability and functions.

TOKIT Razor Cooktop Induction Plate Pro, powerful, controllable, looks like Apple designed it :)

I’m impressed by this induction cooker!

Before, I had an induction cooker with a broken tempered glass, and the traditional induction cookers were too bulky. But this induction cooker is as slim as a laptop, with an eye-catching appearance and design. It can be easily stored in my cupboard, making it a great space-saver. I think it would be impossible for anyone to refuse it!

What I appreciate most is the knob design which suits my cooking style. It’s easy to adjust the power and pause cooking whenever I need to. With 2100W power, it’s perfect for my daily cooking needs. The 99 levels of fire power can be adjusted precisely to 1 degree, allowing me to cook my favorite dishes with ease. The induction cooker also automatically pauses when there’s no pan on it and stops heating when the temperature is too high. Additionally, the operating sound is quiet, and with low-power heating, my children enjoy using it to fry eggs in the morning.

Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this induction cooker’s performance. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient cooking solution.

Btw: I just tried with the app, you can create your own recipes mode to the device!

    Impressive!

Lightweight so easy to transport to other areas, brilliant if camping on bbq’s.
Love that it is programmed to all temperature controls from boiled eggs etc. when links via the internet and cooking app.
    Definitely recommend.

This is a quality hob with easy to control power levels. I like that it maintains a steady heat at lower temperatures without constantly cycling the power like my previous one. It’s worth the extra cash for that alone. It also works with the Xiaomi Home app available from popular app stores if you are that way inclined.

Decided sometime ago to dispense with my conventional cooker/oven and go for an Air Fryer and Induction hob to replace it, being a single guy I did not need more than a single ring hob and this fitted the bill.

Firstly, though it connects to your phone via Wi-Fi so that you can have more control options, I gave up on this after 5 attempts as it does not want to connect to Wi-Fi and I was starting to get frustrated with it (more annoying was that at first the ap was saying all connected then the hob decides otherwise), but that is a fault I do not have time to deal with it this time, so use it as a stand alone as is.

If it is important to you, then this is a good looking sleek hob with one knob to control and two touch sensitive buttons to the side of the knob, one for timer the other for Menu.

I was at first taken aback at the noise, there are fans that come on and are audible the higher you turn up the heat. This is the first convection Hob that I have used and had not idea how far to turn the knob to get full heat (my old cooker had four setting) and have had to get use to the digital scale of 1 to 99, obviously the more I use the more I will get use to it.

I loved, that when I lifted the pan of, it turned of the heat and resumed only once I replaced the pan to the hob and the timer worked out well, did spaghetti, set the timer (as I normally over cook it) and once done, it beeped and turned off, very useful.

The idea for me was to have something I can put out off sight once finished and this is an ideal little unit, easy to clean and I am sure that once I get the hang of it, easy to use, I’m just not interested in stressing out of the Wi-Fi (after all, who is going to take there cooker closer to a hub from Kitchen to living room).

Great little machine with good looks

    Smart, Portable and useful

I was excited waiting for this to come. It arrived in less than 24 hours. The box was slim and fairly easy to open. Maybe many people will need help to set up the app and WiFi. It seems that you need a phone with “NFC” which is not usually available on cheaper phones. Cloud recipes are not available on the UK/EU version. In China, 2 other colours are available but not in Europe/UK. It seems to me there will be a learning curve to understand all the features of the app. But the hob itself is well made, uses quality materials and looks good.
At first I couldn’t understand why “manual” setting always used the 99 hottest setting and only lasted 1 minute, but I then didn’t twist the knob to any setting , just free and it seemed to manual then. The more I use it, the more I like it, it was unbelievable how quickly my steel Moka pot made coffee.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOur first induction hob, bought as an experiment before going the whole hog and switching from gas (fed up with the indoor air pollution). First reaction was not favourable, but that changed quickly.

The negative initial reaction was mostly on seeing the tiny (appears to be 12cm) diameter of the induction coil. 12cm is the minimum pan size, so this seems to tally. Concern was that larger pans would be unevenly heated, with disappointing results. So far that fear has not been realised. Everything tried so far has been just fine, with nothing burned or undercooked.

    Plus points :
    – It genuinely reaches the claimed 2100W output
    – Lowest setting is under 200W and does modulate a bit, but is not on/off repeatedly. It’s more like 150/200 alternating
    – This is a blessing, since the lowest setting is sufficient to hold a simmer. Many competing products simply can’t go that low, either wasting energy or reducing flexibility in cooking style.
    – Connecting with the app (optional) adds the ability to cook with set temperature rather than set power. It also offers some presets for certain dish types such as pasta or stir fry.
    – My partner is the cook of the house, a bit of a technophobe, but she’s taken to it well enough and is happy to go for full induction, despite having to replace some pans.

    Minus points :
    – There is some noise, not awful, but louder than gas. It’s mostly fan noise, so an even white noise in the background.
    – A bit limited without the app, because all you then have is power control and a timer – no temp control – but then you don’t get those things with gas so nothing really lost, just nothing gained. Not the end of the world. Also, my partner continues to cook with power, not temperature, because she doesn’t wish to use the app.
    – 99 power levels seems a bit over the top. It’s a lot of dial spinning. So long as you have a good setting for keep warm and simmer you probably only need ten power levels, as you would get on most full sized hobs.

But really, if it’s a single induction hob you’re after, this is likely better than most (not that we’ve tried others) due to the ability to hold a lower minimum output than almost any (every?) other portable induction hob listed on Amazon UK. It’s increased our confidence that a 1,000 Neff and new pans to go with it will be worth it.

p.s. While this model is branded “TOKIT”, which I’ve never heard of, it actually uses the app from Xiaomi and appears identical to a Xiaomi branded equivalent. That inspires confidence that it is a solid piece of kit, simply rebranded.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt arrived yesterday and to test it I cooked spaghetti bolognese which needs to simmer for a long time. The temperature control is very accurate and responsive. The fan is unobtrusive and I am sure in a little while I will master the various settings. Talking of which, it is possible to use the app but will require a lot of patience with the installation. It took me ages but in the end I succeeded in loading the app and registering the product. I warmed some milk using the app and it worked perfectly. However, how useful this extra facility will turn out to be remains to be seen. Having read some reviews of less expensive hobs when simmering was achieved by turning the power on and off at regular intervals, this product maintains a constant temperature throughout, which is what I was looking for.
The hob arrived well packaged and appears to be of a very high quality which is what I would expect at this price range.
The Tokit hob is very easy to clean and store away when not required.
To conclude, although it’s early days, I am very impressed indeed and it has exceeded my expectations.
    Take care.
    Update 14th December 2022.
Very pleased I bought this hob. I actually look forward to using it every day. It is now my go to piece of kit. It is so easy to use and is very responsive. The temperature control is incredible. Ideal for stews that have to be kept just simmering. I still find it hard to believe how quick it is and how easy it is to maintain. I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersInitially, opening this up, you get an impression of a smart, intelligent portable induction hub. It’s well made, well designed, lightweight and slim—everything you want in an induction hub! The controller knob is also quite stylish and posh; they put a lot of thought into how it would look and function.

In terms of functionality, this hub heats food nicely and quickly; my masala fish was delicious! It’s also beneficial for couples or if you need an extra burner to cook for more guests.

It’s the safest hub I have ever used: it won’t heat up until you put the pot on it and has overheating protection built in so that nothing goes wrong if someone forgets about their food for too long (which can sometimes happen when we have company over!). You can feel the heat from the pot; however, the black panel is safe to touch.

I don’t have anything wrong to say about this as it’s an excellent design, seems of outstanding quality, looks great and is straightforward to use.

I hope this review helps you to make a purchasing decision.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am using the unit stand-alone, i.e. without the app.
The stock video above is useful, especially if using the app. and it also shows potential storage solutions if space is limited, i.e. on its side, which I might not have thought about doing.

If not in the know, note that you can only use certain pots & pans on an INDUCTION HOB.
Try the ‘magnet trick’ …if the magnet sticks to your chosen cooking vessel, you can use it (image below refers)!

Exactly as pictured in the current stock images above, this is a handy extra ‘ring’ for me, especially for family roasts and over the festive season, when 4 rings are never enough. But it is just as handy when only one ring is required, such as a small pan for boiled eggs, heating up a soup for 2 or letting a stew simmer real low …when we have it plugged in near the kitchen table to save someone getting up to sort out ‘seconds’.
The static power cable, attached to the top left hand side, is around 150 cm long, not including the UK plug.

It will come into its own on holiday, too, for it is easily transportable.

In use, the unit makes some fan-like noise but it is not overly loud, IMO.
Depending on the spill, I find that it is generally easy to clean, following the instructions in the manual, i.e. NO corrosive cleaners.
It has a tendency to easily pick up specks and fingermarks if left out, so needs a buff up with a soft cloth, in my experience.
Also, depending on what you are used to, the ’99 power level rotary knob’ is not very ‘ratchety’, but is easy enough to control once you get the feel for it, so to speak. It is quick to turn down from boil to simmer, compared to e.g. my ceramic hob.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis device is slim and looks premium quality. It’s controls are intuitive and minimal, making this an extremely easy hob to cook from.

You get one dial which is used for changing settings, adjusting times or simply turning up the heat. Within the centre of the dial, you have a display, combined with a push button. To the left of the dial, you get a touch sensitive timer and menu button. Circling the dial is a red heat indicator, which isn’t that bright.

Press the button and turn the dial, to get cooking. The hot plate won’t come on until you place something onto the hob, depressing the small button in the centre of the hob.

Amazingly, while this heats your food up quite quickly, the glass hob doesn’t get particularly hot at all. The warmth you feel comes from the pot or pan that has been resting on it. Take the pan away and the hob switches off.

Apart from the basic functions, off, on, timer and temperature, you are able to link this machine up to an app, which supposedly shows you recipes and controls the hob’s settings. For me unfortunately, I could not find an English version of the app, no matter how hard I looked. The instructions were also in Chinese, with no link to the app, so I didn’t really know what extra it could do or how well the app would be.

For the price, currently 103 after 20% discount (usually 129), it’s actually still a bit expensive, although clearly excellent quality. I suspect the app makes it worth the extra money, but as I can’t find the app, let alone use it, I can’t give this more than 4 stars.

This will be used well as a temporary hob, or for camping (provided you have an electrical supply).

Excellent machine, but potential hampered by poor instructions and app

This small induction hob is very suitable for use in a compact kitchen. The way to operate it’s the same as the traditional gas stove, just turn the rotary bottom in the lower right corner to adjust firepower. It makes a little noise when it heats up, but it’s within the acceptable range.

It also has a built in temperature sensor, which means it will automatically stop heating when the temperature exceeds the preset temperature or when there is no pan on the stove. The protruded part in the middle should be a temperature sensing probe to ensure that the actual temperature of the bottom of the pot is consistent with the set temperature.

You can also choose to connect Wi-Fi to control cooking, but you need to download an application first. In a word, as a small kitchen appliance, there’s no doubt this small induction hob is excellent.

Heat up quite swiftly and cool in no time.
You can have a constant temperatures, ideal for those sous vide dishes ( a bit of fine dining at home )
Also built in safety – auto off upon overheat, with alarm too.
Easy to be put away, and weighs under 3kg.
Great price at just over 104 with voucher.
The smart functions making it stand out, great for small flat/kitchen or a additional hob for the family/friends gathering meals. And taking up no space.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersExtremely well made induction hob. Absolutely stunning to look at never mind cook on! Friends compared it to one of those well known apple products
It is really easy to set up and you have the option of whether you want to connect to it with your WiFi – if you do you can control it and monitor it with an app. This would be fantastic if you were going all cordon bleu and cooking sous vide dishes but that is not something I need (although possibly in future). What I do like is that I can set it up practically anywhere and it makes cooking accessible. We try to involve the kids in cooking and this device makes that process a lot safer than having them on a step infront of the cooker. Simple things like pancakes and boiled eggs can easily be done using this with the kids using it – obviously supervised. The hob turns itself off when it detects that there is no pan on there which is a great safety feature. I think this would be great if you had someone with a disability who requires a more accessible cooking device.
The device makes a bit of noise – the fans whirring within aren’t exactly quiet but not overly loud. It is extermely quick to get up to temperature and extremely easy to then control using the dial. I am really looking forward to using this outside – weather permitting, during camping trips and when the BBQ is on in the summer.
Tremednously impressed by this product – it’s the future of modern cuisine not only in the home but anywhere you can tap into a power source.

Amazing Portable Hob - camping will never be the same again!
