This is an excellent jig. Perfect for quickly and accurately joining worktop in corners. Also excellent for use as a guide when cutting a hole in a worktop to fit a hob.
Bought for my boyfriend. Can’t say how good it is but he seems pleased with it. A lot bigger than I expected!! Make sure you have a large router to use with it.
Found cheaper on here than elsewhere and next day delivery so even better!
Bought to replace a cheap fibreboard one that I wasn’t happy with. This Trend one is far superior, producing a precise finish and made from material that is much more robust and stable
The Jig is fantastic, but the plastic locating pins did not fit well for me and one jammed in place and had to be hammered out and damaged as a result.
I bought a cheap jig to start with but could never seem to get the mitre right, and seemed to take ages having to re-cut, so I decided to spend a bit more and bought this, and so pleased with it, my mitres now are perfect and easier to do than it was before. Thanks
This tool is spot on , read the instructions better still you tube it and watch how to use it . First time I used it I was a little unsure how it would work, I had nothing to be worried about 10 plus work tops later in my own house and it’s spot on . Make sure you have a new router bit and they don’t last long on work tops
I’m halfway through the fitting of my new kitchen and this has made the job a lot easier. As well as cutting the joints I’ve used it to cut out the sink hole. It is easy to use with the marked peg holes. Very well made solid tool. This is my first time using a router and template so I appreciated the guide but also the online videos from Trend. I recommend you watch so as to learn what all the peg holes are for. You will need a 30mm guide for your router but I’ve been working with a very old 1/4 inch budget model and it has been fine. Lots of small cuts and not trying to bite off too much at a time.
This is one hell of a bit of kit I’ve been in the carpentry trade now 40 yrs and fitted so many kitchens i’ve lost count but I’ve never bought a jig I have always made my own, but this works wonders.
I was doing my own kitchen so I though I would invest in this jig, should have bought one years ago.
Good but if kit as a kitchen fitter I’ve used loads of jigs but the trend jigs are the best on the market a a little more money but I wouldn’t use a different one now.
Really sturdy and strong and you get pegs with this one two what’s a bonus because you can pay up to 10 just for pegs. So I would recommend this to any other fitters out there
This is a must have jig if you’re installing your own kitchen and want to have a seamless join between stretches of work-surface. There are cheaper jigs on the market but I decided on the Trend one because it is a name I trust in the Router tools market, and unlike some others this is a strong, durable jig that doesn’t flex when in use. Bear in mind that to use a work-top jig it’s recommended that you also use a beefy router with a 1/2inch collet – in my case a 2Kw Freud which weighs a fair bit. This Trend jig was absolutely solid. The other bonus is that the instructions that come with it are clear and extensive. Of course its very easy to mess up when using these things, and the last thing you want to do is ruin an expensive worktop, so having good clear instructions is a bonus. Take your time and make sure the router bit is sharp (I hear the pro’s buy a new one for each job) and you should get great results. Highly recommended.
Great piece of kit but make sure you watch as many online videos as you can to get ideas of how to set it up properly.
It is brilliant!
I used it for solid Oak worktop that was 620mm wide so there is a trick to making it work. Ensure the channel is cleared effectively as the router bit could chatter and ruin the clean edge.
Other than that excellent.
I use with a trend T7 router.
Holes for the pegs are not deep enough, I think it’s machined wrong. Sent it back… Bought another from another company, it was the same, needed it for a job so dropped the router into the surface of the hole 2mm to allow the peg to sit flush.
Arrived promptly and appears well made. I haven’t use it yet but will be best to practice on a old piece of worktop or timber . The one problem I had and I have seen the same problem mentioned before was that the pegs suppled were far too tight in the holes …If I did push them in fully I had to tap them back out again .I contacted the seller and got another set sent out …they didn’t seem surprised at what I was complaining about .I’m not even sure that the replacements are a better fit so might have to use some fine sandpaper on them
Not used it yet but if I produce a poor joint with it I’m sure it’ll down to me and not the tool! It’s shorter than the Silverline one I had but much heavier and a better quality material too. It’s expensive for a DIY’er who’ll use it just a few times but it’s cheaper than screwing up a work surface by using an inferior product. I good investment in my opinion.
Absolutely brilliant. It’s expensive but built to last. Done a variety of basic cuts, hob cutout, and corner profiles on a 38mm oak worktop and the finish is superb. Just take your time and read the instructions very carefully before ideally practicing on some scrap. Found the corners tough as they require you to balance the router on the edge. Just be careful and remain focused.
First of all jig feels very solid. I tried it on a small project fitting a mini-bar in my van basicly just rounding two worktop corners using the jig. I have to say routed edges are very clean, professional looking. I use a DeWalt router which is a heavy enough piece of tool, however the router slides easily over laminated jig surface. Could not get any better result. Well approved.
Expensive but great tool. My worktops look great. Really good instructions included.
Novice easy to use, the markings on the jig and instructions are great and my nerve’s were quelled when the final results were revealed.
Definitely recommend
We just had a kitchen extension. And the jig was used for the worktops. The joints came out perfectly brilliant.
A Good tool giving a very accurate cut so that you can’t feel the join when the worktop are secured together. Would recommend.
A must for mitre cutting worktops and paid for itself in no time. Should last a long time if looked afte
This is an excellent jig. Perfect for quickly and accurately joining worktop in corners. Also excellent for use as a guide when cutting a hole in a worktop to fit a hob.

Needed a new jig for recent kitchen fit and it done a great job

This is the best worktop jig I’ve used. Very happy with it. Extremely good quality and very affordable
I used the jig to fit my new work tops very happy with the product.
The Jig is fantastic, but the plastic locating pins did not fit well for me and one jammed in place and had to be hammered out and damaged as a result.
As a builder/multitrader I do kitchen installs and have been using this jig and same brand for over 7 years, last even longer if looked afte
