I was asked by a friend to fit these rails. The kit includes a choice of fixing bolts but be careful. If you decide to use the expansion bolts do not use the included masonry drill bit. The bolts are 10mm diameter but the drill bit is 12mm. You will not get a good firm fit. You need to use a 10mm bit for a 100mm bolt.
I love this handrail it’s made such a difference to our back steps we can easily use them now! My friends are happy too no struggles with the steps! My husband found them very easy to fit into the concrete! They look stylish too! Very happy indeed! Better to be safe on the steps
Rail OK but bolts are a soft steel metal and bend easily when knocking in place.
Fixings not strong enough for rail. Had to buy sturdier ones
Although very strong and will support going up and down steps was disappointed that the fittings for the rail to the uprights do not tighten properly and as a consequence rail is wobbly. Also although powder sprayed several areas had nicks in the cast iron which already show signs of rus
All fixings supplied although drill bit was not up to complete installation so have a spare handy
The only issue was that the handrail was loose fit to the vertical supports so a packing washer was used to get fixings completely tight. Rail looks good and finish is ok
Gives us confidence going down the steps, was difficult to fit as the fittings didn’t hold it firm, fitter had to buy extra long screws in order to make it stand firm. But glad we had it fitted, worth the cost.
The instructions were a bit vague, and far too many screws were provided but with a bit of common sense, this handrail is fairly easy to.put up, and once in place is strong and sturdy.
If fitting into concrete steps, you need a high power drill
Installed this for my grandparents, very easy to install and quite sturdy once secured down! Recommended!
I like the handrail. The silver color blends in with the cement. It gives me support when I step up onto the back porch. Just make sure that you look at the dimensions of the handrail and the height of your steps to be sure that you buy the right handrail.
Arrived well packaged, extra bolts over, supplied with a drill bit which was not a cheap one. Highly recommend this product. Ideal for us to get down from the patio on to the grass, very sturdy.

Easy to install , did not want something that looked like an invalid rail. Sturdy . Need to be careful with measurement to get both uprights vertical. Overall a very nice easy fitment. supplied with drill bit screws and bolts + spanne
It seemed very easy to install. We arranged for someone to carry out the installation. We are pleased with the extra support it gives when using the outdoor steps.
Could not use it as misleading information said was for 2 to 3 steps but too long for the 2 steps from my front door to path.would not have got car on drive it’s for a flight of steps of 6.they did not help to return it and offered me 9.90 off the 99.it cost me to buy it.the post office wanted 36 to return it.it is also very heavy for me to carry about.
Was a good rail and well made just not right for my needs the seller was really good gave me a full refund no hassle would definitely use them again if needed anything
Uprights and bases felt a bit flimsy but rail was very solid and for the price I think you’ll struggle to find anything that’s a huge improvement. Once assembled with decent fixings they’re very solid.
Nice sturdy handrail. However the concrete anchors provided were useless. Go to B&Q and buy some decent ones.
Much better for me and my mum when she comes. The only thing up was the cover on one of legs was all bent. Must of been done during transit as box was also ripped. But overall very pleased.
