Good fit, but can be a little hard to adjust your feet to when wearing them for the first time.
I have wide feet, and I buy traditional trainers a size or two up to compensate rather than shop from the limited selection of wider fitting shoes. In the Evo’s I bought how my feet measure and they fit like a glove although I found conflicting size chart info on the official Vibram store site and the UK stockist Barefoot Junkie which made deciding which size to order difficult, as a result I had to return my first order. I’d recommend following the official Vibram size chart.
I’m a month in and I can feel my feet getting stronger and my bunion discomfort has reduced. At first it feels as though you have put in a 12-hour shift, on your feet all day, and I have an office job. It was a relief to take them off at the end of the day but as your foot strength increases, they just feel like you are barefoot.
I am still building my strength, so I haven’t completed a full workout in them. I have briefly tested Double Unders and Kettlebell work. I did get ever so slight knee pain on the foot I have a bunion on which I use as a guide to know if I have been overdoing it before my feet are up to strength so only time will tell if that goes away eventually. If it does, I am barefoot for life.
I will get a trail pair with water resistance between the toes next time as you are limited to indoor or dry days to wear them. If you do go outside when its dry in winter your toes get very cold.
I love Vibram five fingers and these were a great looking shoe, I was disappointed that after ordering my size the supplier sent the wrong size. I was sent a size smaller than I ordered so had to return for a refund. I would have reordered again but have no faith in the supplier that 2nd time round I would get the correct size.
This is my third pair and I love em.
Would recommend to anyone getting into the barefoot shoe scene
I have run in Vibrams for years, so I will not focus on comfort, etc. since that is dependent on each individual. Rather, I will say that this is the first pair of Vibrams I purchased online, and I did so after checking a couple of sizing guides. The shoes fit as expected, which is great. The shoes are also standing up to my workouts (lots of outdoors offroad running). Given the cost of these minimalist shoes, I expect them to last a while, and so far they are lasting as expected.
The only shoe I will run in. Last pair lasted well over 1000 miles. No cushioning to degrade so I wear them until they fall apart. Even at 1k they are still okay for gardening.
had been training in the garden barefoot during lockdown helping to prevent a recurring achilles soreness and swelling and wanted something as close to barefoot as possible to ware ready for when I go back to the gym.
These seem just right, the only thing I am left wondering is why I didn’t buy a pair a lot sooner!
Fantastic, little tricky to get on but that’s expected. Comfortable, none slip and good fit.
Did not buy for running but for indoor/outdoor exercise and qigong activities.
Absolutely love these…. It’s just taking me so long to transition, my Achilles heels are hammered… Too much to soon is not good so take it easy
Measure you feet as per the instructions on vibrams website, I am a uk 8 and a half – 9. I went for the 41 and they fit perfectly. I have only had them a week but I can honestly say they are the most comfortable footwear I have ever worn.
My lad loves these for running but now actually wears them everyday! They fit snugly and he loves the lightweight feel, this is now his 2nd pair and he’s looking for more!
The only downside for me is that fabric is thin and easily rips but I suppose they are not meant to be worn as an everyday shoe as my lad wears them so he is rougher with them than what they are actually marketed for.
Switch to these, learn to run properly and you’ll never regret it.
Just great, so much fun to walk and run with these.
They’re like gloves for your feet, light, comfy, and super flexible. For general gym use they’re great I can’t recommend them enough.
Unlike other reviews, they size is perfect. I’m eu 45 or 10.5 in most shoes and the vibrams size 10.5 fits great. Perhaps a little less wiggle room than other shoes. I’ve had them on all day and have really enjoyed them.
You need to learn how to put on the shoe so your toes go into the right bits. V comfortable v good for toes with injuries or bunions . This unusual footwear will take you through your day and your work out . Can be used for wild swimming too.
Great shoe. Usually take size 13 but had to go down to a 10 1/2 – 11 in these shoes for a comfortable fit. Wear them with 5 finger socks. Use for training at the gym. Work ideally for this.
This is an eye catcher, everyone loves to look at your feet.
I’ve jogged 10 miles with these and felt good.
If you’re looking to buy one, get the exact measurement of your foot and use that. For example, I usually wear 10 UK size, but my real measurement indicates that my size 9.5.
Also, it’s best to wash often.
Purchased these for our son at Christmas, he said they are amazing and so comfortable. Lots of people have asked him where they can purchase a pair.
Complete control of the foot-to-ground traction yet no discomfort of barefoot walking/running. Great item if you don’t mind not walking on a cousin.
I love these for use at the gym. They are light and easy to pack with all of my kit and they give a great sense of freedom when you wear them. You do need to buy a size below what you usually buy like many other reviews have said and it did take me a while to get used to wearing them.
Have quite a few different pairs of cinemas at this point. These are by far the most comfortable so far! I thought they were going to be a little tight when I first put them on. But they seemed to stretch out a little after an hour or so breaking in to be the perfect fi
Good luck getting the right size for your Vibrams. I was advised to get a size 6 by the Vibram UK store as I am normally a size 9 in trainers and 6 in Vibrams would be most fitting. Amazon had suggested size 9 which I was told would be way too big. I got these in 6.5 to wear barefoot. They were way too tight and made my feet hurt. I ordered size 8 and they are a little loose when barefoot so I guess you need to try the shoes on first before working out your size. The fit is quite wide – which suits my feet. The shoes are very well made and look like they’re will wear for ages. I’m using them just for gym and circuits and they are great for that. I have wondered several times if they would come off during exercises like burpees or jumping jacks but they stayed firmly on, though my feet did move a little inside. I never wanted these silly looking shoes before but trainers didn’t give me the feeling I wanted and actual barefoot training was causing skin to blister or just scrape off during exercise. These have done the job of filing that space between barefoot and trainers. Great grip too.
Hi only reason i gave 4 stars was because i had to send them back because they were a little small and my 3rd toes were pressing against the end of the toe socket. A shame because i love these and will be getting another pair as soon as I have my refund.
These are wonderful shoes. Fit is good look good and they wear well. I only use them in the gym as I bought them for mainly squating and deadlift. They work better then the chucks I used to wear for this purpose.
Washed them a few times in washing machine and they look good as new. I sweat a lot but these haven’t picked up the smell much. As long as you let them dry out naturally not stuck in your gym bag. I have sensitive skin and I get sores and dry skin on my feet sometimes. These alleviate that problem.
simply awesome…. ok we all put shoes on…..and these are a bit more difficult( i call it a squiggle process with my 2 little toes) to put on….but i’m sure given time the process will simplify( and yes the squiggle gets much easier)…wow worth it…….have you ever gone into the garden….and walked barefoot on the lawn… wonderfully comfortable…in fact the most comfortable shoe/trainer….whatever i have worn…lightweight…well made….simple to use….wonderful feeling just walking anywhere….casual,training,running….
if you don’t buy you are so missing out….astounding footwear…to put it mildly….
Damn i want the grey pair ta boo
Very comfortable. It is more foot glove than a shoe.
I’ve been curious about the possibilities since I first saw fivefingers footwear a year ago. The answers to my own questions are:
They feel just like putting on a comfortable, durable glove – obvious I know but that’s how they feel.
I’ve always liked being barefoot – it’s just that over the last twenty years I’ve worn good comfortable boots, shoes and sportwear. My feet became over-protected and are now too sensitive on anything other than pampered terrain. It feels like being barefoot all over again.
I have every confidence that my fivefingers happiness will improve further over time.
