For the money, a very good camera controllable via the CamHi app. I am using it to protect an off-grid property that is vulnerable to vandalism, using it to send live footage to my phone and to trigger alarms if anyone approaches the door. I should add that I’m using it indoors and therefore can’t speak about whether it’s effective and robust for outdoor use. However it appears on first use to be responsive and send clear pictures and videos. It connects to the app very simply using the QR code provided, but be warned, the CamHi app is not particularly intuitive. It’s best to use a Gmail account using an App password to connect it to mail. I had no luck connecting with my other mail accounts. And I’l also still struggling to connect it to a server via FTP but I’m pretty sure I’ll get there in the end. But these quibbles aside, it’s an impressive device for not much money. I should also add that I connected it directly to a 12v system solar successfully – and though it’s fairly power hungry – it’s working well so far. (Photos taken at 720p – it also has 1080p settings).
