Hola, devuelvo este producto para volverlo a comprar, el detalle es que lo compre a contado y lo voy a comprar a meses sin intereses para aprovechar las bonificacion de mi banco, por favor ayudame con esto
This is definitely a workhorse, I previously had the SN750 version and this one performs way better and gives good confidence that your data is in safe hands. Its a Gen 4 NVMe and I am using it on a laptop with Gen 3 4-lane configuration.
Apple charges too much to add storage. So, I got my MAC with standard 512gb of storage. I added this Western Digital Black SN770 2TB with an Acasis external NVMe enclosure and I couldn’t be happier. External drives, including NVMe over Thunderbolt max out at 2700-2800 MBps. So there was no reason for me to buy the higher speed and more expensive NVMe storage. But with overhead, you don’t want an NVMe that only gets around 3000MBps either. This was perfect. It’s almost as fast as my internal storage. Internal clocks at around 3000-3100MBps read/write. This enclosure with the SN770 2TB clocks in consistently at 2750-2800MBps. Can’t beat it.
Some people say these NVMe, like most, run hot. Well, if you know what you’re doing, it doesn’t run hot. Put the thermal pad on properly and it works fine. I keep mine running even cooler by having this enclosure sitting next to my Mac Mini M2 Pro, which I have sitting on TOP of a laptop fan/cooler. When I run temps on this enclosure and the western digital SN770 NVmw, it averages around 85-88 degrees F when idling. If I let my Mac go to sleep when I walk away, the temp when it comes out of sleep mode is around 78 degrees F. When I’m using the enclosure and SN770, the temperature rarely goes about 100 degrees F. Unless I am playing a game, (I store all my games on this drive). It might reach around 110-120 degrees F. Under the harshest conditions, maybe 130 degrees. The operating temperature of most M.2 NVMe is 0 – 70C (32 – 185F). So definitely no problem. This enclosure is small, so it fits nicely on the laptop fan/cooler, along with my Mac Mini M2 Pro and USB-C hub and USB-A (3.0) hubs.
I got this enclosure on sale for about $95. Normally around $120-$130. I got the Western Digital SN770 2TB M.2 NVM3 for $85; normally $100-$120. Apple wants $200 for an ADDITIONAL 512GB of storage. Doing it this way, I got an additional 2TB of storage for a total of $180. And it’s just as fast as the internal Mac storage. Definitely recommend this Western Digital SN770 storage. But you have to pair it with a quality enclosure if you’re not buying it for internal PCIe. If you are getting an external enclosure, get the Acasis TBU405. Great price, great speed. No need to spend more for faster. It can’t go faster. Only internal PCIe can go faster. Don’t try and save $10-$20 by getting some other brand. Stick with Western Digital or Samsung.
Beste Gre!
I got 2 of these for my desktop gaming PC and they work a treat. So easy to install as well. Fantastic performance for drives that aren’t the highest spec, but I didn’t need the highest spec anyway. Great gen 4 drive at a reasonable price
Huge upgrade from my hard drive, everything loads much faster now !
I purchased this and from the others I compared it too this had high speeds and the price wasn’t bad at all.
So … I bought this knowing that my board is gen 3 PCI express. I understand that I won’t get gen 4 speeds (up to 5 gigabyte/s for this storage) because of the limitations of my board. However, the point was to get close to at least 3.9 Gigabyte/s rather than buy a gen 3 nvme that is rated up to 3.5 that might only get 3.2 gigabyte/s. The pic says it all. I’m good. Ah .. the vanity. Cheers
Bought this to amalgamate all my drives. Super quick. Boot time is insane, as are gaming loading times. I paired with 64GB of RAM cause why not.
works fine not the best gen 4 m.2 there are faster but its cheap so cant complai
This SSD is super fast. Speed tested on motherboard ASUS ROG STRIX B660-F GAMING with 64GB DDR5 RAM and i7 12 generation processor.
Super value for super speed. So quick to load windows and the games I put on it. Great quality.
Installed this in my PS5- no need to play with games shuffling anymore. I am happy with the product.
Bought this M.2 drive as a system disk for a new PC build. 12th gen Intel with a B660 motherboard with 32GB DDR4 3200 CL16 RAM. This is not a gaming PC, I just future proofed a bit. The drive is a simple fit into the PCI-E Gen 4 x4 M.2 slot on the MB. Installed Windows 11 Pro on to it.
You won’t be disappointed with the performance even though it is a DRAM less drive. Windows boots to usable desktop in sub 30 seconds. Word and Excel start seemingly instantly.
I tested the drive using Crystal Disk Mark v8.0.4. Achieved 5223 read, 4950 write.
Recommended for a “admin” PC or even a lower spec gaming rig but only if the price is right. 7000/7300 drives are starting to reduce a bit so worth checking. Overall I am a happy customer.
Purchased on Prime day for 133. I couldn’t resist 2tb of PCIe 4.0 for that. in reality it’s indistinguishable speed wise in 99% of tasks from my Seagate 530. in the end I got rid of the 530 and bought a second one of these!
Very happy eith the SN770 at that price. However I’ve noticed they have hiked the price significantly higher after all the good initial reviews, which I feel is a bit unfair, so I docked a point.
Really easy to install and because it is connected directly to the motherboard, there is no loss in transfer speed
First off, I got this on the sale days so managed to save a good few quid, which was nice. Secondly, you need to know your hardware before you buy it and hope to get the top speed. This is a gen4 m.2 drive and as such to get the full 7,000Mb/s plus speed you NEED to have both a gen4 slot on your motherboard and an 11th gen plus Intel processor, if you don’t meet these then you’ll only see half that speed. I happen to have this so have been able to use it for it’s full potential, and boy is it quick. I don’t play games, so can’t comment on load times or FPS, but I do use it for hungry applications and high IO processes, and this is where it excels. The drive boots the PC in seconds and has apps opening in near instant clicks, the IO is super quick and on a quick test I was able to get over 7,000Mb/s. It needs a good heat sink as this thing gets hot so don’t install in a laptop or desktop without one of you’ll damage it. Install was quick and easy with nothing extra required from the Windows front. If you’re looking for more space and want top speed then this, at the moment, is the best way to go.
I bought this storage device for my gen3 motherboard (maximus xi hero) although i don’t get full speeds because my motherboard is a generation older it preforms extremely good. I recommend this m.2 for gen 3 boards as it caps out the speeds at 3500mbs which is half of what it can actually do but it keeps the temperature really low. If you bought this mid range m.2 for your gen 4 motherboard you will get a lot higher temps which could damage it unless you bought a m.2 cooling plate. So overall i recommend this for all gen3 boards (if compatible) and gen 4 boards if you have a lower end cpu on a gen 4 board.
Perfect for all the games I play, makes them loads super fast and even on Warframe the loading time on open world parts as instant, love it wish I had one years ago in my XBOX one X, but super glad I got it for my Gaming PC Setup
Initial review ended up on wrong item – this corrects that mistake.
This WD black SN770 works as expected and quality is typical of WD disks, e.g works and is (currently working) and reliable.
I’ve got this in an external USB-C enclosure from Orico connected via USB-C/Thunderbolt4 port for external storage and it is as fast as the internal SSD on the laptop, if not faster. Which is of course limited by the bandwidth of the USB/Thunderbolt BUS, in this case being 20GB/s, and the chipset of the enclosure which is 10GB/s.
A WD black is a bit of overkill in this case, but when 40GB/s USB4/Thunderbolt4 enclosures come down to realistic prices (currently 150++) this will be a blazingly fast external solution, perfect for my video editing and production work (Lightroom, Premier, Divinci).
If you want the most extreme performance, then look elsewhere. If you are after a no nonsense large capacity drive that performs really well under most everyday conditions then this is a drive you definitely should consider.
It took a few minutes of fiddling about with a small precision screwdriver whose tip I moistened a little to get the tiny screw to attach onto, magnetic tipped screwdrivers are exactly what is needed here!
The performance is great, although the slot I used is “only” PCIe 3.0 and not the PCIe 4.0 the SSD can use. There is plenty of speed for me as I don’t anticipate transferring very large files and overloading the cache thus affecting performance. Capacity is 2Tb, which is the largest for this model, plenty for my foreseeable future.
As I got this on a deal I was very happy with it, it makes a nice pairing with the Samsung 970 500Gb primary drive.
Recommended, especially if you get it on sale.
