An excellent item! Highly recommend all WORX tools and accessories.
ATTENTION – Owning WORX tools can be addictive, you just want more and more.
I was using a regular hammer drill to drill a concrete lintel with no success, then bought a slammer drill and am well impressed drilled the lintel with no bother.drills like a sds drill but is a lot more compac
I’ve got a few hammer drills Dewalt, Ryobi, Bosch, believe me this Slammer drill has it all lightweight, and very powerful drilling into concrete, there’s many you tube videos out there supporting this.
I bought mine as a bare tool then bought a compatible 4ah battery for 30 works absolutely fine all from amazon, can’t fault this drill.
Think this is the 6th or 7th Worx item I own now, and it’s brilliant. Does everything I need and has had plenty of heavy use as we renovate:-)
Love this drill will tackle any material, great addition to my WORX collectio
I love this drill. Its so much easier to use than any drill I have ever picked up. I drilled through concrete (with a bosch multipurpose bit). The variable speed is easy to control if you are using the drill with some sanding bits and want to keep the noise and speed down. I have paired this drill with the milwaukee shockwave 48 bit set (which has a magnetic attachment) and I am really enjoying using it. Its definitely a heavier drill than other standard drills but much smaller and lighter than one of those giant hammer drills.
I do wish it came with one of those handle attachments…
I rarely write reviews …
But this Slammer drill is really good. It does exactly what it claims, and can easily deal with solid concrete walls, no problem.
Get yourself some good quality Bosch professional concrete drill bits, and you’re good to go!
Highly Recommended!!!
Well I had this for my birthday present , it was recommended by many other users and they were not wrong this drill seems to be able to drill thru anything you throw at it , concrete is no problem , we have solid engineering brick walls which are 3 bricks wide with no cavity as it’s a 1930s semi built, these bricks can blunt drill bits and burn out power drills but thanks to buying decent masonary drill bits over the years I have managed , I had to put up some new cameras on outside walls so thought I’d give Slammer drill a try could not have been easier or with less effort , felt like I was drilling into common blocks or standard house bricks such us the mighty power on Slammer mode so impressed with its power and ease of use , if your looking for your next hammer drill look no further the Slammer has got your back everytime, my mains hammer drill looks like it’s going into retirement from now on so totall highly recommended to all .
Well made, slammer action is really effective into brick. Happy.
The Worx Slammer is an amazing tool it even beats my corded Bosch Hammer SDS drill hands down the power and ease at which it drills through material is blindingly fast such as concrete it is amazing, worx in my book is becoming one to watch witb the amazing but clever products they are bringing out, the only reason I bought this was because my old worx drill lasted 8 years nearly 9 and it had a hard life so I hope this one lasts as long too
Stunning hammer action from such a small device, drilling through bricks effortlessly
Needed a good combi drill and most my gear is Worx now so this was an obvious choice.
It has a few downsides as it’s a bit on the heavier side , the brushless motor could do with a little more control or varible speed but these are all minor in my eyes.
However what you do get is a very nice normal drill or driver but the fun really starts when you pop it into Hammer mode. I have never known a cordless drill at this sort of price point have the pure force that this has.
I run it on my usual 2.0A batts and can’t complain at all about batt life.
Great product at good price. Provides good drilling power and is light to hold
A good quality product, does what it’s supposed too do
A really powerful drill, versatile and with the PowerShare batteries I can use them on my other tools. Well made and compact yet powerful. A very good buy.
This drills into 1960’s flint based red brick walls with a cobalt coated drill bit (not included) like they are made of plasterboard, and that’s just in the drill mode.
The 2 included batteries mean that once charged, if you run out of power on a task you just swap batteries and carry on, in addition the batteries work across the range.
I like the drill it feels professional a solid item works well. Every thing about it is good value for the money.
The unit fits welll in the hand and is easy to use.
It is a bit heavy against other drills
Good value tool had worx before so knew what to expect hasn’t let me down !Decent power and good torx.
Great drill always impressed by worx tools love the way the batteries are interchangeable
Bought for partner. He said he was pleased with it. Works well.
Great piece of kit does everything it is asked to do.
Neat compact. Great value for money
This is a pleasure to use and comes in a small case with two batteries. Hammer drill action drills into concrete and has enough power for a cordless drill. Some reviews have mentioned bit coming loose but it requires proper tightening which is usually two clicks when tight. Has led light, screw-drill-hammer action. Case allows small amount of accessories to be carried too. It is a little heavier than other drills but this is the battery that adds weight.
I bough one of these on ebay as a bare tool, but thought I would leave a review here as there arnt currently any. Its a very powerful drill, easily a match for the lower end Makita, Dewalts ect.
What really makes the difference is the slammer action. Its utterly insane how poerful the slammer action is! 10mm Bosch Professional masonary bit cut brick like its nothing. Faster than my main SDS drill!
I will say, there is a reason the Matika and Dewalt et.al. drills tend to come which higher capacity batteries. The 2Ah wont last very long if you are heavily loading the drill with big hole saws ect.
