Made a spare system for a different room paired with a 5600x and 1080 along with this ram, set the speeds in the BIOS (XMP/AMP) and found 3600 to not be a problem.

The ram itself is pretty, but it’s under a side panel with no viewing covers, so not really a concern of mine.

Really good looking kit of ram for a great price. My particular kit has samsung memory but I think this can vary depending on when its made. I’m running it on z690 aorus mobo with a 12700k. At first I could barely get it stable at 3200 xmp speeds but this was a limitation of my mobo and bios revision. The lastest aorus bios specifically increased speed and compatibility for these particular samsung dies and I can easily reach 3600 with tightened timings c15 in gear one with just upping the dram voltage and vccio. I still need to mess around with it but I’m thinking I can probably even go higher.

Best part is the RGB. The color perhaps a little desaturated. But very little. If you like pastel colors you’ll like this RGB. The diffusion of the RGB looks great. The transitions from one color to the next are better than my G skill Trident Zs. I prefer these over the Tridents.

Very pleased in general with the RAM, but be aware the RGB appearance can be very inconsistent between sets.

This RGB combo had been running in my rig for several months now.

    Stable. Fast. Zero issues.

I’m not a gamer, but I do perform memory intensive work particularly with regard to video and photo editing, graphics applications, and more. I’ve had nothing but great results with this memory, which also looks sweet in my tower, sync’d with this other lights coming off my MSI AMD X570 motherboard.

Give these serious consideration in your hunt, particularly if you’re looking for stability with polished looks.

if you want ram to run at the speeds you pay for you have to enable xmp in the bios. all memory runs at 2133mhz even if you buy a 5000mhz kit. you have to set the speed yourself.

Got this for my son to upgrade from 8gb to 16gb and add more color to his desktop. So far he said it’s working very well for his gaming, mostly Minecraft or Fornite while running discord and a video recording software. No complaints as of now, will update if something he dislike comes up.

Most important thing to know is that the RAM is going to work fine for most applications. I installed this with and Intel I5 processor on an older machine, doubling the RAM I originally had in the machine, and it definitely improved performance. It also looks very cool in my tower, which has a clear side to show off the RBG lights.

I did take off one star – I originally picked this up to use in a different machine and had to change plans because it wouldn’t fit under the CPU cooler. These modules are a little bit taller than usual, so make sure you have the needed clearance.

I tried this XPG DDR4 3600Mhz in both an AMD and Intel PC. The memory timings are 18-22-22 when enabled in the BIOS: XMP for Intel and DOCP for AMD under memory setting. Most motherboards will not auto enable XMP/DOCP, so be mindful of this when you install this memory.

I tested this on an Intel i9 10850k with an Asus z490 Hero motherboard first. The memory ram as advertised with no issues. The next PC I tested this in was a Ryzen 5950x on an Asus x570 ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero. I had no issues with the AMD motherboard, and everything ran at the advertised speed. So, the compatibility as advertised in the description about compatibility between Intel and AMD is correct from my testing.

The LED on the memory is vivid and colorful. I used AURA sync to setup the RGB with no issues at all. The build quality is excellent with no bleeding lights. Easy to install and is within manufacturer spec so the memory fits as it should.

Overall, this is a great buy for the price. I do not overclock my systems, so I cannot say how this memory will do in an overclocking environment, but I can say that between both of my PC’s I tested this on it worked great. This memory final resting place is in my daughters Ryzen 3700x PC in which it works flawless, so I have evaluated it with three generations of CPUs with zero issues. I highly recommend this memory based on my test.

I recently added this RAM (two 8 gig sticks) into a system and it’s worked fine with it. I tested it at both 3200 and 3600 speeds and was able to run it fine without crashes or issues at both. Personally, I don’t get why RGB lighting is such a thing, but it doesn’t really bother me, either.

I haven’t had any issues at all while using this RAM since installing it. It’s a little on the pricey side as I write this review, coming in at $85, but for DDR4 3600 RAM that’s really about average. I’m using it in an AMD system, myself.

    Recommended.

Used this RAM to upgrade a machine that was previously running 8GB of lower speed memory (still in dual channel mode, though) and it makes a huge difference. The faster speed allows programs to move in and out memory faster and work faster when in memory which is big for application level performance particularly if you’re also using a CPU with integrated graphics (like an AMD APU or the Intel Iris or HD Graphics onboard many of the newer Core chips). Capacity-wise, Windows will definitely take more memory if it can get it – even if you aren’t currently use all of your RAM on a regular basis, Windows will often perform better if it has “room to breath” memory-wise, so going to from 8GB to 16GB is huge for that.

The RGB is a nice touch – most software packages that do RGB light control can control it – though I don’t have a glass paneled case, so I just get a very muted glow out of the size vents on the case, which is still nice. And the price (which everything PC related is expensive these days) isn’t outrageous for the boost you get. And that’s perhaps the bottom line – for most people, this is an easy to install boost to performance without a big hit to the pocketbook.

So, I’ll admit I didn’t realize I was ordering “RGB RAM”. For the uninitiated, this is RAM with RGB LEDs mounted to it so that when closed up inside your case, where nobody can see them, they make flashy lights. I guess this is for cool people with clear cases. Well, that’s fine, but what sucks is.. these are really tall. They don’t fit in my case at all because it’s a small-form-factor unit and tolerances are tight. So regular ram fits fine, but these won’t. I guess I’ll have to try to heat up and remove the heat spreaders and see what I can do to remove the LEDs. The actual PCBs appear to be normal size.

I guess if you’re looking for “RGB RAM” this is probably fine. My computer and Windows seem happy with it, it’s just my case that doesn’t. I wasn’t about to install the software required to control the LED colors since they’re coming off or going to be closed up anyway. Aside from the fact that they don’t fit and won’t be easy to make fit, they seem like a good deal for the price.

Very nice. The extra lighting strip gives this body a much bulkier and solid frame toward the top making it very durable.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAhh nothing brings me more joy than overclocking budget memory to speeds that the exotic expensive memory cant even handle…All with no errors or issues.

So lets start this out with that its 2021 and we are in a silicon shortage. That means memory from mainstream manufactuers is hard to get and when it is available its incredibly overpriced. Want some top tier 4000+ memory from the big boys, prepare to shell out 200 buck per 8gb. Want dom plats? Well thatll be as much as a threadripper. As I cant see myself paying more for my memory than I paid for the rest of my computer…..something had to give and it was the RAM. I figured its one of those things thats easy to swap out quickly (unlike mobo, gpu or processor) so Ill skimp on it for now and get the good stuff when we have sand again (err silicon) So down the patch of generic memory I went. Finally stumbled onto this set with a name I cant pronounce or understand even its meaning. However it was 1. cheap, and 2. Still pretty quick with good latency. Fast forward a couple of months of running this at its prescribed speed of 3600mhz without any problems and I now was able to snag some dominator modules @ 4200mhz from a blitz sale. Figured while waiting for those, lets see what this stuff can really do……

So at this point Im already a tall boy into my night and am gradually upping the memory speed of these in 100mhz increments. I hit 4100mhz without an issue and finally am getting bored of the long test periods and changes so I just up the thing an extra 1k to 4600mhz. Burn test it and 6 hours later NOT ONE ERROR! Even the most expesnive of stuff will generate some errors. However I just overclocked this by nearly 40%. After that I obviously fell asleep (passed out) and woke up thinking I may have dreamed it or was in a haze when I did it. So the next day I did it again and low and behold not one error. How can this be? Ive never overclocked memory by over 1000mhz. Took some old ddr4 3000 from hyper and attempted to overclock it to 3200mhz and bam errors and crashes. How could I have gotten this budget basic memory to overclock to memory speeds that people are paying over 1k for…Well Ill never know. However here we are and there is works. Color me impressed to say the least.

    Incoming pros/cons

    Pros
-Incredibly affordable especially during the silicon shortage of 2021
    -MASSIVELY Overclockable. Got 1k over
-Cool RGB (Not really my cup of tea)
-Non matched sets both getting 4600mhz without issue (insanity)

    Cons
-RGB (yes its a pro/con as I dont care for it)
    -No name manufacturer
-OC to 1000mhz over will probably nix your warranty

Honestly Ive OC’d everything Ive ever owned and Ive never gotten this significant of a gain on anything! This is truly impressive and a sight to bestow. The real crazy thing here is that I got non-matched memory. Both sets of 16gb sets are from vastly different lot numbers and should not theoretically be able to handle this much OC. All in all color me most impressed!

If you are looking for some value, high speed, overclocked RAM with some flair, this is a great option.

The install is fairly simple, as long as your motherboard supports XMP. If your motherboard does not, you can still do it yourself, but unless you know what you are doing, you’ll want to watch a few people do it on YouTube first.

All you need to do is jump into your BIOS, go into advanced memory settings, switch from AUTO to profile (that’s for people with an GIGABYTE motherboard), and the rest will auto default. The speed and voltage automatically populated in for me, just as they stated on the listing for this memory.

You can take it a step further if you want. While the makers of this memory do not have an app to control the lighting, almost all of the common RGB programs can identify this memory and change the color cycling / profile. In my case GIGABYTEs RGB Fusion had no problems seeing this memory and changing the lighting settings.

Now time will tell if this memory holds up. I’m not too worried about it. There is nothing flimsy about this memory. It feels pretty solid. If I do run into any issues I’ll make sure to update this review.

    No Problems With Install
