Should have bought a bigger parasol, does move with the wind may put a guy rope (as per a tent) on it to keep the shade where it is wanted. Moving the base and weights is a pain in my particular location and is now fixed to a pallet with concrete flags to weigh down.
It is very unstable if it gets a bit of a breeze, it definitely needs the weights but at nearly 30 each ( you would need all 4 for stability) that works out expensive. It also spins around in the breeze and unless you have some way of tying the cantilever down , there will be no way of preventing this from happening.
Very easy to assemble. (Mid 70s working alone). Looks good. Where I have it means I have to stretch and use my left hand (I am right handed) to raise and lower it but I have no difficulty doing so. And the handle is colour coded to remind me which way to turn it. Where I have it is on the corner of the house which makes a slight wind tunnel so we can have some interesting effects when the parasol sail dances in the wind but I bought the compatible water weights offered by the maker of the parasol and so far it has remained firmly grounded. I am happy with it.
Loved the umbrella but although I ordered it last year it was not out in the garden until May of this year. Sadly it has now list the bolt which attaches the top of the umbrella to the plastic support. Whilst I have found the nut, there is no sign of the bolt. For the sake of a bolt a whole umbrella has become useless.
Contacted Company who asked for proof of order and once sent have heard nothing more. Not impressed with the supplie
This Patio Umbrella is ideal for the purpose it was ordered for, only criticism is that one of the captive nuts on the main support/ stand has been fitted and tack welded off centre, it’s irritating but not worth returning to supplier, other than that delighted with this product. I’ve also bought weights from the same manufacturer and they are essential and ideal.

Just needs a pin through to stop it spinning in the wind but otherwise ok

Its good sturdy equipment and value for money and did purchase a good size base for stability very attractive when assembled on patio
This parasol looks great and does the job but sways quite a lot with only a slight breeze. Overall happy with it.
