Abit of a nightmare to set up ,but once it’s done it works brilliant so much better than them old wired alarm systems
I knew Yale was a good name in locks so it was a good start , I spent 50 years as a joiner but not fitting alarms so it was a bit of a problem but even I at the grand age of 85 got it right in the end. But I had to get my son to go up the ladder. now I hope it will keep the unwanted out.
Reading instructions important Pre drill fixing holes befo setting up
Bought to replace a much older similar wireless Yale alarm (water ingress had damaged the exterior alarm). Easy to install and I was able to re-use one of the existing motion detectors and the old key fob once reprogrammed. Basic alarm system but it does the job, defintely works as I forgot to turn off a few times when coming back into the house. The external alarm is pretty loud. I like the convenience of being able to alarm the system via one of the motion detectors if leaving by the back door as the alarm box is on the front of the house.
Alarm works great for our home and easy to set up
Needed this for a garden room. Well it’s really simple to install and works fine. Cheap too.
Bought one of these thinking it would be ok .
But it’s actually pretty dam good value for money and dose exactly what you would want by a expensive alarm for getting quality without the expensive installation. Very easy to install and has a good range and battery life . Pleasantly pleased
Great, easy to install and easy to use system. Piece of mind for not a huge outlay!!
So so easy to install also no problems connecting the motion sensors to the sire
One would think that a well established name like Yale would take the trouble to print an accurate user guide. The setting up instructions are just plain wrong, the initial coding of the keypad is misleading and requires referral to the troubleshooting section to accomplish. One would also think that the inclusion of a paper template, maybe printed on one of the big cards in the box would help in drilling the mounting holes for the external box. Made my own, but what a pain. Alarm works OK though.
House alarm choice is a minefield,,so I went for a Yale because of the name firstly and price second. This is great value. Our house isn’t massive, so went for this option as it initially will cover the essential,,door contact breaker, two motion sensors front n back areas. Definitely read the instructions over and over. I’m no tech whizzkid,, far from it,, but when the penny drops on what you havevto do it only takes half an hour to fit. Basically you have to tell the outside alarm box what sensors n keypad are attached to it. Easy tidy job, nice loud alarm, abd a very bright recognisable outside box tgat hopefully will put off your average scumbag druggie from robbing the gaff. Very pleased.
Great purchase. No fault! This has helped me to feel a little safer at night, thank you
Very simple to setup, good range of signal from alarm box to motion sensors. Perfect for our shed.
I needed a very simple alarm system for my cabin. This looked to fit the bill and has given me some comfort knowing it is quite loud when activated. Another reviewer said read the manual, seems silly but actually sensible. It’s plain English (and clear) and there are some good things to know before you start.
There are two PIR sensors, but one of the them is a pet sensor. You only know by reading the model number. I didn’t see this until I had put up the pet sensor, so needed to change that. It’s fairly straightforward to add and remove the gadgets. I also purchased the keyfob suggested as a package but this was not compatible with the alarm – excellent. I used the Yale technical contact form and they were brilliant. Told me what model I needed and therefore sent back to Amazon and bought the correct one. So, its a good inexpensive system. Easy to install, very easy in fact. It’s loud so although someone might get in they hopefully wont stay for long. Don’t trust the amazon suggestions they are wrong! If you are looking for extra gadgets for the system looks for ones that are compatible with the HSA models.
Pleased with this item, easy to install after reading the instructions a couple of times. Adding extra dor sensor and remote keyfobs has made a comprehenive alarm system a a good price.
Does the job perfectly. I would recommend for simplicity and ease of installatio
Basic system, but value for the price i paid. Read instructions twice.
, then install.
This alarm set is ideal. It is simple, easy to set up and works well. I purchased a fob to go with it so I can easily arm and disarm the alarm. Makes me feel safer as a person living on my own.
I have just purchased an add on kit Yes-Essentials, with an HSA 6400 Yale already fitted and works well. Do you have to fit the add on kit combining both together or as separate Alarms. Thank you
This is for my Granddaughter, not yet installed due to covid restrictions
Easy to link up and install. Good clear instructions made it easy to install in garage and shed. Minor downside is the deterrent stickers have to be applied to inside of glass. No use unless you have a window, which I do
Installation was quite easy. The system works well as a stand-alone alarm. Other models offer phone calls and app alerts, but this is not set up for that. We added the key fob and it works great, and makes it easy to arm and disarm the system.
Straight forward system that works well. My only complaint is the box on the outside of the house has no visible lights during the evening. I’m going to fit a small LED to rectify this
Easy to set up, bought an extra door contact and key fob as I didn’t want to use PIRs for fear of them being set off by spiders! I have one on the garden shed, and the other on a bike store. Hopefully, the Yale alarm box will add an extra deterrent too. Very easy to set up and installation was a cinch.
The have nots will always try to take from those who have, this is my way of keeping what little I have, so now I have an alarm that will alert every neighbour to the fact that a have not is on the prowl, trying to become a have with your stuff.
We bought this system following an unsuccessful burglar attack when we were at home. It’s a basic system which suits us; we are more interested in deterrence rather than phone messages to inform us that an attack is in progress. The system was inexpensive, easy to install and, when tested, worked well. The visible siren box is the key component. So far, the bad guys have left us alone.
We have just moved house so setting up a whole home including security. This is a Good system easy to set up in the garage and should anyone try and open the door this will set off a very loud alarm. The keypads portable so as we have a long drive we just have to walk a few feet from the back door to set it without having to ‘be’ at the garage which is cool – there are 2 motion sensors…we have one at the rear and one set high near the door – the alarm box is in the corner – we have cctv as well at the rear so should the door be opened 1. The alarm should scare them off and 2. If they tried to do a smash n grab we have cctv footage. Unfortunately we need this security which is sad but we do feel this is the best set up we can get so very happy. Great loud alarm. You get quality with Yale and always used their garage alarms. We buy and sell houses and decorate / renovate and sell on so we have to buy a whole set up each time we move and always found these are a big bonus when selling a property. Very happy cheers
As I was moving into my new home, I was burgled. Thankfully I hadnt moved anything of value yet, but I was scarred by the experience… what would I do once I HAD moved in my electronic gear?
This kit was easy to install, requiring no wires, and with some heavy duty double sided sticky pads, I didnt even need to screw anything in place.
I did need to call support regarding dip switch selection to pair everything up on installation as the instructions provided are less than clear, but I was impressed with their telephone support, so thats a plus.
The motion detectors work better from a distance… I originally had one positioned right next to my rear patio doors, thinking it would give me best detection up close. That was not the case. However, as I they are wireless, and I had installed the sensor with sticky pads, it was a simple task to move it to the far wall facing the doorway instead.
I know its not an all singing all dancing alarm system, but it works, having even a simple alrm system as a deterrent has eased my mind considerably.
My alarm kit arrived within agreed time scale not to my address but a collection depot.
I believed my purchase included 2 door alarms & 2 pir units but only 1 door unit was included
The set up instructions are not rocket science but are not as easy & straightforward as suggested & I had to view YouTube advice videos to fully grasp the technically guidance to complete my installation
It would make life easier for all if the units were preset requiring only location mountings
