As I said a great battery and excellent charging station. So easy to setup and go. Very lightweight compared to my old petrol mower. Not as wide a cutting area but it’s so lightweight and qui k it’s not an issue.
got it for my neighbour he loves it, one thing though after only using it once he found the grass collection bag was frayed around the stitching and had a small hole in it, told him to get onto manufactors and let them know.
Quick to charge, delivered promptly, easy to use and lightweight. Did a banging job of the grass in its first outing. This is the second mower of this brand we have had.
Instructions as everyone else has said are terrible but once together it’s a joy. Light , cuts well and I’m very happy with the battery life. Did my 40ft long lawn without running low even.
This is my first battery powered Lawnmower and I am very impressed. Light to carry with one hand, and a lot quieter than any mower I’ve had before. My lawn is 35m x 15m and I can cut this with one charge easily and I would only need to empty it twice. And I can do this in 20 mins. Great product.
Very good mover i love it from first move cuts well collects grass like vacuum hoover nothing leaving behind can’t coment about strips to early to say just in process to renovate a garde
This is an excellent lawn mower. The battery life is very good. I have cut my grass 3 times and there’s still 2 bars on the battery. I have a fairly big lawn . No more tripping over electric cables. Makes mowing the lawn so much easier and does a great job. Its also very lightweight and easy to put together. Would highly recommend
This lawn mower is very quiet and also cuts the grass amazingly to what height you like it I cut on 2nd setting I do think the lawn mower is quite heavy but I am okay with that but it will probably be no good for someone that can’t lift but apart from that I am very happy with it battery is enough to cut my front and back no problem on 1st full charge
Easy to assemble took 15 mins and the battery was fully charged by the time it was assembled
Cut my lawn in 10 mins approx 130 m2
I’m only 5 ft but the handle can be adjusted
Nice and light to manoeuvre and so easy to use with no cable to worry about
Sturdy grass box
Absolutely delighted with my purchase
This mower is lightweight and powerful. It cuts the lawn beautifully. I have about 280 square metres of lawn and one battery charge completes the task with no problems. It will cut longer grass and seems to pickup power to do this. This product is brilliant for the price, I am very pleased. It is worth saying that when you unbox the mower there is a mulcher inside which should be removed before mowing with grass box attached.
I’ve only used this mower once but I love it – it’s so easy to use . I can’t really comment on the battery as it’s still brand new but I used it for about 30 minutes and there was loads of power left I understand you should charge this type of battery and not let it run down I’m very happy with my purchase and it’s cut my lawn beautifully will very little effort.
My first battery powered mower and have to say its brilliant. This mower is lightweight easy to use and cuts the grass great. Only used 25% of the battery for my two lawns. Would recommend this mower and the the price is great too for the job it does. Dpd delivered it and the driver was very helpful and polite. The assembly is not not rocket science but the instructions could be alot better. Thanx yardforce for an affordable mower that works great.
just used it and it cuts well and last some time before needing to power up again.
Got fed up with a long cord trailing. Bought this lawn mower last week i have 2 long lawns at back made the cutting much easier and safer.
Battery lasted well still had one bar left.Very pleased with purchase.
As ever with these things, battery life just isn’t up to much.
Extremely pleased with my mower, it is robust and very easy to assemble including the grass box. Only have a small lawn (less than 100sq metres) , the battery easily copes with the cut and it is very quick to recharge. A good cut that took a lot less time than my old electric mower with a lead and so much lighter.. Overall very satisfied with the product, feel that the mower should last a number of years.
Nice build quality and feels sturdy- more so than a recent Flymo electric mower I used. Had some problems with registering the warrantee but the support line were very responsive and helpful which bodes well if any other issues arise. The battery is chunky and solid- the charger is quite large. But all good so far- I’ll update in the spring time when I start to use it regularly.
Update- I’ve used it today. Quiet and a smooth cut- plenty of juice for a medium sized garden- very pleased!
Assembly would be very easy a 2nd time. Whilst assembling the battery charged and time for a trial mow. Multi height set ckvers all seasons. Single charge comfortably civers medium sized lawn.
So much easier to use than a mains powered mower and does a good job of cutting the law
Love this mower. It has reduced the time to mow my lawn from 40 mins to about 10 mins. Very easy to assemble and use. Great stripes on the lawn and very good manverability. Great for smaller lawns.
Easy to assemble, lightweight and cuts well. I cut my hand on the edge of the plastic battery housing as it is sharp. Not sure how robust it will be in the long term but it is good value for money and so much easier to manoeuvre/transport than a petrol mower.
Bought this 37cm 40 volt mower 6 months ago in April. Assembly fairly easy – took about 25 minutes. I discovered a large mulching plug in the box, but strangely, I could find no mention of it in the instructions. Charged battery for an hour. I have 3 lawns, all have wavy edges, which of course adds time to any mowing. There are 2 smaller lawns of 70 sq. metres & 85 sq. metres, both on flat ground. The third is 295 sq. metres on a very slight slope. It took me 9 minutes to mow the 70sqm lawn, but then the weather took a turn for the worse, so I brought the mower in & charged the battery. Two days later I managed to mow nearly all of the large lawn in 39 minutes before the battery ran out. After a 1 hour charge, I finished the large lawn & mowed the 85 sqm lawn & still had 2 lights showing on the battery. Although I’m no spring chicken & have some serious health problems, I found the mower very light & extremely easy to manoeuvre. The design & position of the handle is perfect for me, allowing single handed use in awkward places. It cuts well & stripes ok, although my large lawn is now pretty bumpy because of the hard, dry summer. Height adjustment is a breeze. The bag holds a lot & once I got used to it I had no problem positioning it back on the mower. I was a bit worried having seen some negative reviews regarding battery power & assembly, but I had none of those problems. I bought a second battery which was on offer & recently mowed all 3 lawns in 2 & a half hours including cleaning the mower twice & a quick cup of tea! Previously, the same job with an electric mower was taking me double the time, & I was struggling to cope with cables, extension leads & circuit breaker & eventually had to get my poor other half to do it. Now, I can do it myself!
Great mower and ideal for a smaller garden. The only slightly frustrating thing is lifting out the bag when full, very awkward angle and if it’s windy can result in clippings going flying. Not a major issue however and very happy with the upgrade from a corded mower.
Great product I would recommend.
1 fault though, the battery charger suddenly stopped working after only a few uses.
Amazon sorted this out for me with a new one.
Once sorted via the instructions, it is so easy to use. It is literally 2 mins to set up and start cutting with. The easy locking handle are very good to use. Pick the height you want to cut to add your grass box and away you go. Very good quality and it charges the battery very quickly. The indicator button lets you know how much charge you have left when you press it.
I was unsure about buying a battery powered lawnmower but I knew I needed a cordless one as I was fed up with the extension leads running down the length of my long garden and getting in the way of a seamless grass cut.
The lawnmower arrived quickly and was easy to assemble (the handle just needs attaching).
This is an outstanding lawnmower! It’s quiet, lightweight (even though it’s sturdy!), cuts grass very well, and the battery lasts much longer than expected (about an hour or so to cut my grass on non-continuous use). If you have a large lawn then you may want to purchase a spare battery, as I did.
The battery is inserted easily and has a very clear battery life indicator, just press the button on the battery and it will show you by means of bars what life remains. Once discharged the battery take about an hour to fully recharge.
I highly recommend this Yardforce lawnmower! It’s an absolute game changer and has taken the hassle out of cutting the grass. 5 stars!
I have a half an acre garden and the lawn was getting me down. I have struggled for years with a petrol mower, difficult to start and very heavy. I then tried an electric mower and got rapped up in cable Today this mower arrived and it has changed everything. I whipped round the lawn in half the time and to my amazement still had 3 battery light out of 4 glowing . Mowing my lawn now is not going to be a dreaded task. It’s going to like a walk round the park.
Apart from the joy of being cable free, the lawn looked really good after its first cut with the new mower: gets close to the edges and gives a level cut – no flattening and skipping over clumps or longer grass. First cut out of the box as battery was charged to 3 bars, which it still had after the cutting. Yes – as others have written – the instructions were the most unhelpful I’ve ever read – but it’s much easier to assemble than the instructions suggest so DON’T let that stop you from buying this machine.
Easy to assembled took less than 5 mins. Not sure about rapid charging took more than an hour to fully charge the battery. Cut a lawn 6m x 19m cut it twice and no issues with the battery.
If I have one complaint its that the cutting level is too high at 25mm. There is very little difference between cut level 2 and 1.
Although it has a back roller I have not notice any stripes.
It is certainly light weight and quite easy to manoeuvre.
Not sure I would recommend it but at this stage I would not suggest that you avoid it.
To start it off, it’s so easy put together. Pop on the handle with the supplied bolt clamps and you are good to go. We only have grass in our back garden and the charge last long enough to get it done. If you have a large back garden I would recommend getting another battery. Have tested it on full charge and has lasted roughly about a hour/ just over. Has 4 lengths, battery charges fairly quickly. A must for any smaller back gardens, and folds away for easy storage. Highly recommended.
I received my Yard Force mower today and I’m really pleased with it. I had been using a G-Tec cordless mower prior to this which was double the price, for half the performance compared to the Yard Force! The battery arrived with some charge, but only took an hour to charge. The plus points…. very sturdy, easy to assemble, lightweight, easy to manoeuvre and cut the grass lovely and collected the grass.
The only downside to the mower is that I can not get right against the fence to give a good cut along the fence, hence my 4 star rating. This is due to the nuts holding the handle bar protruding out too much.
Overall I’m really impressed. This mower is so much better than the G-Tec Cordless mower. It was so nice to cut my grass and not have to collect the grass afterwards. It has made me realise just how bad that mower was.
Got delivered yesterday and took it for a spin today oh what a change without the hassle of wires.
Instructions manual can be bit better, it’s not very complicated, but requires some guess work as the manual is not clear enough. It took me about 45mins to put it together. There’s no mention of the mulching tool anywhere in the manual. So again guess work.
I charged the battery for about two hours and it took me about 20 mins to do my medium sized lawn. Very impressed with the cutting, very smooth and easy to operate. I have two bars left on the battery indicator, so maybe enough juice to tackle my front lawn in one go.
Will use the lawnmower bit more before I add anymore. So far it seems to be a great product, with really good build quality.
This year, I took the plunge and decided to order a cordless mower. A month ago, I ordered the lowest Hyundai cordless model. It was light, flimsy and did not cut the grass very well. The motor was also struggling. I decided to return it and Hyundai was very good about it.
I read more reviews about cordless mowers and I came accross Yard Force. After reading good reviews, I decided to buy it. I am very impressed, very! Firstly, it is very well made. Secondly, it has a strong motor. I did my first cut with this mower today and I do not have any negative things to say about it, in the contrary. I mainly cut my grass at a height of 4.5cm and it did a great job. It collected the grass very well, and I was able to do a close cut on the hedge of my garden and around pots.
I read reviews on amazon that it was difficult to set it up. A lot of rubbish! I am a women, and I set it up in 5mins. Don’t listen to people who found it difficult, they just like to complain. I even did not use the instructions as it was so straigtforward.
I would also add that it is not difficult to attach the bag to the mower as per reviews on amazon.
I think for the price, this is one of the best cordless mower, I have seen. If you are unsure, go to shop and compare. You will see the difference.
The 37cm is performant, the battery only lost a bar after a cut, the size of my garden is medium. WIth the Hyundai, I would have lost 2 bars. I will definetly buy again from Yard Force. Now, the only thing which I cannot comment on is how well it will perform over time.
I usually do not write reviews, but in this occasion, I had to. Well done Yard Force.
And if you wonder, I do not work for Yard Force, I just like to do my research and buy what I think is a good product. I did very well with this purchase so far!
I don’t think the mower was new as there were signs that the box had been previously opened and there were a few scratches and a lot of dust on the handles etc – I don’t think it had been used but I’m pretty Shure it had been built up – possibly a demonstrator or a return.
The mower itself was easy to build up and feels like its made of reasonable quality material – the battery was partly charged and took about 30 min to fully charge – Roughly 50min from empty.
I’m more than happy with the quality of the cut – I cut my grass quite frequently once or twice a week so not sure how it would cope on long grass. Roughly 100m2 and I can cut it twice and still have a bit of charge left in the battery. Very light to push and the roller stripes the grass better than I expected.
I marked it down a star as it failed to start on a few occasions – Not to worried as Yard Force extended the warranty for an extra 2yrs free of charge. I think that excludes the battery though.
My old lawnmower desperately needs a new blade but is still plodding along, although for months I’ve been talking about getting a cordless mower, especially now I’ve taken on my elderly father’s gardening.
Well, I’ve got no idea why it’s taken me this long to go cordless!
I cut my 23 x15 ft back garden a few days before getting this one and it’s out with the extension lead, unroll it, plug in to the RGB socket, plug in the mower, do 2 or 3 strips, stop, move the wires, repeat…
So I order this while on a deal and although delayed, it still arrived within a few days of ordering. I built the mower in my living room and familiarised myself with the instructions, while putting the mower battery on charge.
It was showing 4 LEDs when pushing the button, but thought I should fully charge it before first use to ensure maximum power.
Took it out in the garden, started it straight away and went up and down a few strips – checked the collection basket and it was already half full! There is an indicator “flap” to alert you to a full basket, but as I’ve never used this make of lawnmower anymore (aside that it was my “new” toy!) I decided to empty the basket and start from scratch.
There is a plastic key that you can remove for safety, but as I live alone I just left this in here, once I’d taken it out to look at and test the “deadness” of the mower without, but unless I have visitors I will probably leave this in place. Now, I know my old lawnmower blade was in need of replacement, but whether that was the case, or just because this is more efficient, I can’t say, but I cut my whole rear lawn in less than half hour, including emptying the collection basket another couple of times and the mower height was halfway!
I checked the battery in situ and it was showing 3 bars, so I have no doubt that it will give good enough charge to do both front and rear gardens a couple of times before needing recharging so I’m really happy with that; one of my fears of cordless mowing.
Clean up was just a quick brush down and into the shed. No wires to rewind, extension leads to reel back up and job done!
I’m now looking forward to mowing twice a week rather than twice a month and keeping my lawn tidy
First of all great value for a cordless mower, I paid just shy of 140 and that was with battery and charger included! My friend offered me his Flymo for free absolutely horrendous to use even after new blades, so I bit the bullet and bought the Yard Force. Super easy to set up and it’s such a great feeling to free yourself from that ‘damn’ power cord! 40v is ample for those worried about a lack luster power supply. My lawn is only 40sqm, I emptied the hopper 6 times from a long lawn at height 4 on mower and my battery only dropped one bar, great bit of kit! I’m a sucker for quality and usually spend the big bucks to buy the top brands, glad I didn’t on this occasion though! 5* to YardForce!!
As a typical man I didn’t read the instructions to assemble it but I didn’t really need to as it was very straight forward.
Nice and quiet compared to my old Mountfield petrol mover that seized on me mid cut hence the purchase of a new mower.
I have a “small” grass area approx 120 square foot and I reckon I’d easily get 4 cuts out of one battery charge, maybe 5!
It’s feels a bit too light compared to my petrol one but that’s to be expected and as such its very easy to manoeuvre.
My only gripe is the cutting height. I like my grass short short to remove daisies etc but this mower doesn’t go low enough for me personally.
Having said that the cut is good and is directed into the grass bucket very well.
A very good quality and constructed cordless electric mower in the Bosch level but at 2 thirds the price.
Very powerful with it’s 40V battery and quick charger.
The 7 level cut, side grass flow ducts and rear roller are very good features.
Only downside is the high weight but for this quality of construction is to be expected.
Despite this I would highly recommend this mower
Replaced a recently purchased Einhell 18/30 mower which had a faulty battery only holding the charge less than 10 mins, very poor cut performance .and a motor which sounded like something was loose inside.
This was a very inferior mower compared with one and well worth the additional 50 purchase cost.
Returned to Amazon and awaiting refund payment.
Bought for a larger front and rear lawn at my new house, was a little concerned about power/ range etc but trusted the reviews and am very pleased. Sturdy, lighweight, folds up nicely and leave an okay stripe in the lawn too. Mower easily cuts front and back lawns totalling about 100sq m on around 1/3 of a charge. Longer grass does use more battery and I have had to cut twice, lowering fully after the first initial cut after all the rain finally let up recently as the lawn had got a bit wild and the mower didn’t have the power to get through it properly. Worth noting if you don’t cut frequently but 2 cuts was still done on one battery charge so not an issue.
I have used petrol mowers for most of my grass cutting life due having a large lawn. Since down sizing Property I purchased yard force cordless lawn mower due to my dislike of power cords and extension leads. I was a little apprehensive to move from a petrol to a battery mower but I have no complaints at all. The yard force is light weight, cuts the grass at several levels which makes cutting the lawn a pleasure. No rocking the mower backward and forward, just push and it cuts. I’ve attached the before and after of my rear garden lawn.
100% recommend this produc
I’d have to say that my expectations were not particularly high as this mower is replacing a petrol Honda which we’ve had for years. After the first cut, I’m super impressed. The mower is easy to manoeuvre as it’s quite lightweight (you can lift the whole thing quite easily. It cut my slightly overgrown lawn (approx 120 sq metres) without issue. Battery showing three quarters full afterwards, which I really wasn’t expecting. The whole thing took around 25 minutes. Time will tell as far as reliability goes but it seems well made and I expect it’s a fairly simple machine in essence, much more so than the old petrol one. Highly recommended, great value for money.
Assembly was fairly straightforward and the instructions were just about adequate, 10 minute job.
Mower arrived a day early, unpacked it and assembled in less than 30 minutes. Fully charged the battery (was almost there in any case) and put it into action within an hour of delivery which was fortunate as it has been wet and windy ever since. The mower is really a quality product (certainly not a toy) easy to use and well designed so not too heavy and therefore easy to maneuver but solid enough to produce an excellent cut (thanks to the solid blade as well) and efficiently collects the grass in the catcher. Battery lasted for in excess of quoted time and certainly long enough for me to cut my over 350m2 sloping yard. A great mower that I would strongly recommend to anyone with a small to medium sized yard and the mower had no problem cutting though some fairly long grass. Even better at the reduced price.
Initially thought there was a problem with the teeth grips whilst building but with a bit of welly got it in place! Great little mower, on the first cut of the year I used it for about 45mins and the battery is signalling that its about half power left. Good bag size for cuttings and can get close to corners so only need to strim for a short period of time! Rate it 4/5 overall, its my first battery powered mower so think it’s a good introductory one.
