Pretty watch that manages to look elegant and have a bit of substance at the same time. The case and face are modestly sized but very legible and the soft pink Rose Quartz has a very subtle pattern that’s unique to each watch. The strap isn’t that long so might not suit larger wrists but it’s easily adjustable and uses a positive-action clip to keep it secure on your wrist. The strap is actually much nicer looking in real life than it appears in the photos above – the photos make it look like it’s got a very regular grid-like texture but in reality it looks more random and slightly resembles a natural bark pattern. The way it catches the light gives the watch an appealing sparkle.
It comes somewhat over-packaged in a hefty leatherette box inside a branded Accurist gift box with that box protected by a plain card sleeve. If you’re giving it as a gift it all looks expensive and impressive, whereas if you’re keeping it for yourself maybe it’s a bit over-the-top. That said the case is a nice way to store your watch and it’s big enough to take a few more and keep them all safe from damage. Overall it’s a tasteful and subtle watch with enough sparkle and understated bling to make it seem special without looking tacky and the price seems about right for a watch if this quality. Tucked inside the box lid is a card reminding you to register for your extended 5-year guarantee so Accurist obviously have some confidence in their quality too.
I’m honestly blown away by the pure beauty and quality of this gorgeous watch! The rose gold is stunning along with the pearl and diamond face. It all works together seamlessly.
The straps are interchangeable, Iv not had a watch like this before but it opens up so many different styling options.
The strap it comes with is beautiful in itself with an adjustable clasp. Stainless steel.
The back of the watch can be engraved, there’s a circle of what looks to be the London skyline which is so delicate and lovely.
Its presentation is fantastic, perfect if you’d like it as a gift for someone special. It comes with a nice box and what looks to be faux or real leather inside it containing the precious watch.
I absolutely love it, I can’t wait to wear it out on a special occasion!
As I’m getting pretty old nowadays I still remember Accurist from the 1970s with John Cleese advertising them, it was so hilarious that the memory of it is still as clear now as it was then. So that is where I know the name from however their watches have become much higher end since those days and this watch is just beautiful.
I ordered this for my daughter as like me she likes the look of jewellery from a far more elegant time than most things seem to be now, whereas some woman like the large bulky watches that men would normally wear she likes the dainty and pretty items of years gone by.
On opening, this watch far exceeded my expectations and really is a thing of absolute beauty. Everything from the strap to the face is just so pristine and has that lovely classy retro design from the early part of the 20th century.
The watch itself comes in a lovely gift box which other than the red strap that holds it in place looks every bit as gorgeous as the watch, making this ideal as a gift. The face of the watch really stands out as a quality item with a mother of pearl face and diamonds at each of the hour points. I can’t be sure that the diamonds are real but they are quite small so would be in keeping with the watch and the price if they were.
My daughter isn’t as OCD as I am about keeping time to the second, lol but she has now been wearing it for a few weeks and according to her it hasn’t lost or gained anytime at all, the watch is quartz powered so never needs winding and when it comes time for a battery replacement I would recommend that it be done at a watch makers or quality jewellers to prevent any possible damage to the backing or glass face. I held this up to my ear when it first arrived and ok, my hearing isn’t what it once was but I couldn’t hear a thing coming from this lovely timepiece, so I have to assume that it is extremely quiet.
I had ordered this for my daughter to wear on special occasions but she likes it so much that she now wears it all of the time, relegating her old watch to the dressing table drawer.
Absolutely beautiful in every way, accurate and extremely well built.
Whole heartedly recommended as a gift or for personal use.
Pretty modern and quite eye catching first thing that sprang to mind on taking it out of its box. It comes on a padded roll inside a pouch in its box. Now that roll in pouch in box must be good for something else after presumably for storing the watch on and others. Or maybe if changing the strap or altering it to safe the watch face from being scratched.
One major big positive for me was the fact the bracelet of it can be altered and no messy links needed taking out. Just a case of moving the clasp lifting it slightly then adjusting. Wow no links to have to store somewhere safely to then hang onto for years. Only to then chuck.
So yes it fits slender wrists with ease of adjusting the strap. Plus looks easy to change strap if wanting to do. For myself no reason to do so as love the full strap. Say full strap as no gaps or even delicate open work in the bracelet strap whatsoever. It kind of reminds me of a golden mixed silver chocolate wrapper rolled thin for some reason.
The watch face not the smallest but not the biggest either. More the modern size being that of mid range between big and small.
Tiny diamond dots mark the hours.. really if they were proper pure diamonds no matter how small they were wouldn’t the watch be even more money? So yes maybe diamonds but what’s the quality?
The pearl like effect on the dial is pretty blink though and you’d miss it. Have to be in a certain light like outside sunlight to see it to its best effect I found.
Overall it’s a pretty dress watch but yes the strap still reminds me back of being at school and silver and gold foil making things. Maybe also the fact that this make Accurist I grew up with and makes me feel slightly nostalgic hence having a liking for it too.
Lovely watch but is it really worth the steep tag? Maybe for some if the love the brand and know it’s a good time keeper and the style is to their liking. Myself I’m in the four star thought. Nice pretty reminds me of my youth. If that good or bad not saying. But yes I’d rather not have the high price to it.
Fabulous watch. Really gorgeous design, with the analogue markings a particular talking point. The strap is strong and fastens around the wrist very nicely. The clasp closes tightly without pinching your skin. It’s just a stunning watch and perfect for casual or smart events. The box it comes in is also very nice and keeps the watch well protected.
