Purchased to throw into the car for trips to have an easy way to capture notes etc as cheaper than a tablet if it gets lost or damaged. Bought used very good for 134 and it’s in perfect condition with no damage etc to the box or the Chromebook.
Very basic, keyboard is ok. The display is low Rez and not very good to use for a long period. But it’s cheap and cheerful and gets you onto the net or connected on apps as required.
Wouldn’t want to use it every day.
Chromebooks are renowned got their ease of use and reliability, this one is no exception. My previous Acer Chromebook lasted over 9 years, try that with you’re Windozy laptop! Any Acer Chromebook would be a brilliant choice.
Brought as ‘like new’- arrived needing a good clean but zero damage or marks, so I’m happy.
Decent enough ‘laptop’. I only use it for Google and YouTube so didn’t need any great spec’s. For a budget choice I would highly recommend i
This is the laptop that you can go to the moon with! awesome little thing!
Does what I want it to do whilst keeping things simple
Typical Chromebook. Quick to start, secure, infrequent need to charge battery. Perfect for schoolchildren. No apps to buy.
Screen brightness not ideal for older people. Great value for money
This crome book is perfect for me. It has some programs that I’m use to, and some new to me. Great price, quality, and easy to use.
Bought this for 130 for my son to use at 6th Form. He’s really happy with it. Small, light and seems to work pretty fast. Battery life not reported to be an issue. All over, seems to be a good buy so far although I doubt it would be any use for gaming. However, it’s for school work so that is fine.
I bougth this for my son who recently went to High School and this model recommend by the school. This is my first experiance using chromebook. it’s simple , hard shell good for everyday use. especially for kids who are using roughly. value for money.
I just needed a little laptop to do letters and print from. Good size screen, screen quality very good and sound is good for such a cheap little thing. Not as heavy as a full size laptop which is good and battery life is excellent. I recommend this if you want something cheap and cheerful but definitely does the job. Definitely worth the money.
For the price you can’t go wrong with this Chromebook, sure if your using it for work you might struggle, but I just use it for mild browsing , watching YouTube and movies and a little light gaming , the 1 negative point is the tiny speakers on the underside of the device , one either side of the device, the volume is fairly quiet if you use the inbuilt speakers
Battery life is awesome , I can go 10hours on a charge
I needed a new Chromebook because my previous one ran out of support. I didn’t want to spend a lot some came across this device. Overall, I’m very happy with it. Support runs until June 2028, which is longer than a lot of other Chromebooks on sale at the moment. The battery life is amazing and charging is quick via the USB c port. There is only one standard USB port and it’s 2.0 rather than 3.0 and the screen is standard HD rather than full HD. None of these things concern me as I have a main laptop as well. Overall, a great device and excellent value for money.
I travel several times a year and needed something very functional and lightweight. This fits the bill perfectly.
The screen is not the best but at this price point it is very functional. The internal speakers are not powerful but with headphones or a mini soundbar you can improve this. I will upgrade to a better model eventually but this is perfect for now. The Chrome OS is very impressive.
It took me a little getting used to the chromebook but overall I like it. Got it for writing, Internet, & YouTube; does all that well. Get a decent amount of battery life and its quick to charge. The screen isn’t great but I guess you can pay for a better model if that’s an issue.
Fantastic little laptop, feels very robust and well built, it’s much faster than I expected for the price and the battery life is astonishing. I used it for 6 hours continuously yesterday & the battery was still showing 69%.
The screen quality is not UHD but with this screen size it’s not an issue.
Also this is my first Chromebook.. Freedom from the hated Microsoft at last. The Google suite of tools is excellent, very intuitive & all free.. also the Chrome OS has built in virus protection so no extra expense there..
If youre away for a weekend you dont need to take the charger, even if you use up the battery, you can charge it with a USB C cable..
I love this thing and use it more than my 800 HP MS Windows 10 14lnch.
I loved my old Acer 311 Chromebook but the operating system Automatic Updates Expire date was fast approaching. So I replaced my old Chromebook with this model. This Chromebook gives me everything I want, it is quick, well built and meets all my computing needs. I could have paid far more for a replacement computer but gained nothing more of any use to me. The size is just right, a good keyboard and it is light weight sitting on my lap. I can find no faults with this Chromebook and I believe the value for money is unbeatable.
eplacement for older acer chromebook 311, which has been great but ran out of AUE september 2021.
this one has AUE June 2028, according to Acer, so hopefully will be good for next 7 years!
all files from old chromebook transferred simply (automatically), by logging in with google account details, ensuring everything was synched.
the product description states 3 x USB3 ports, whereas there’s only a single port. This is mentioned in other reviews, and does seem a bit mean, but at the price not a complaint. Will just source a USB splitter when required.
Bought this for my mum a few months ago to replace her 4 year old chromebook. This one is fantastic. It has great battery life, a good screen and is easy to use. She uses it for work and leisure. Also, it is fabulous value for money. Do be mindful, though, that you’ll need to be connected to the Internet to use it properly. If you’re looking for a small laptop you can use in a similar way to a tablet, I’d definitely consider one of these.
I wanted a new chromebook, as I had been trying to write a book using a 10 inch tablet and using that built in keyboard. It kept glitching, so after several goes, I was given some cash, enough to buy this and it has been perfect ever since. Chapter writing is so much easier.
So long as you have good Internet speeds, which we don’t, then it’ll do everything. Use Google Drive for word processing and you’re away.
For all other stuff, like browsing, Prime, Netflix etc, it is only as good as your broadband and we live in an area where the max available is 65mbps. But it still does all I need.
Heartily recommended.
This was very good value..Great item. Light and easy to set up ..comes with a plug and charger lead ..very nice colour light grey metal look ..came on time and securely by amazon..would recommend
Free of Windows!
This Acer Chromebook, little as it is, was, for the price (Limited Offer) an absolute steal.
So easy to use, it boots up faster than you can blink. It meets all my requirements, and I’m well pleased with it.
I bought this Chromebook on prime day for160. However at full price of200 it’s still very good value. I am used to a Windows 10 Samsung midrange spec, but this Acer beats it hands down in most areas. Boots up faster than it takes to type in my password. New pages open almost instantaneously and no waiting. Screen resolution is HD rather than full HD but at 11 inches it’s absolutely fine. Only 1 usb and one usb C which is also used for charging, which could be a problem for some but the long battery life negates this for me. I only change it once or twice a week and it only takes an hour or so. I use a usb C to hdmi to run my projector, which is great, not all usb C laptops support this function. I also use the usb output to run an external DAC for Amazon prime UHD, which works perfectly, unlike my Samsung which was always glitching. It will only output 24 bit 48 khz, even though the DAC will handle 96khz, but this is also the case with widows 10. I don’t play games so cannot comment on it’s performance. The device is light and well made with a very tactile keyboard. The headphone Jack performance is adequate driving several sets of headphones that I have tried to reasonable levels. All in all it does everything I could want and I would still be over the moon with it had I paid 200, an absolute steal.
