If you’re looking for an airborne dust clearer for a workshop in the UK, good luck! OK, you can buy them on Amazon, but what about replacement filters? None! But the Amazon Basics Air Purifier is basically the same thing, and you can get replacement filters! No brainer. It stands on the floor and you can push it around and it filters the air. What’s not to like? And as we don’t sleep in the workshop, I can’t answer for sleep mode, so only gave that one star because I don’t know. Be warned, it is big – a cubit across corners – and worktop tall, and intended for a room twice the size of the workshop, but we bought it to clear the air quickly, and it does. In auto mode it even detects burnt toast from the kitchen!
I have had this for a while now, it is placed at the top of my staircase.
I like to test things out for a while before I review to provide a true and honest review that buyers can trust.
The positives of this tall robust air purifier are firstly it can purify 48 square metres of space, it can detect the air quality then set itself depending on the results it finds, it’s really quite clever!
I have 3 dogs so I am always aware of them moulting which also produces dander so having this air purifier running gives me confidence that myself and my children aren’t breathing it in.
This product is a must for pet owners.
My only gripe is the noise it makes when you go past the 2nd setting, I can’t have it on at night time without it annoying everyone so I put it on first thing when everyone is up and about.
It’s quite large so make sure you have the space for it.
Highly recommended.
This is fantastic for picking up pet dander in the air. My house smells less of dog and the filer is easy to clean. The different modes are ideal especially the sleep mode

This is a large air purifier, far larger than any other I have used but then that does mean that it has a large filter which needs to be attended to less often as it does hold an impressive amount of dust and fluff and other things that I just don’t want to know what else. It isn’t the quietest, and the sleep mode is probably louder than most people would feel comfortable with, especially if you are a light sleeper. It’s easy to use but it does take up a fair bit of room due to its size. I feel quite mixed about this, as it works well but is so big and noisier than I would like.
Unfortunately, after cleaning the filter I decided to run under the tap. It seems to have blocked as there is no air coming from the top of the air filter anymore! Will buy another filter.
Bought this in addition to a product no longer available (Toyuugo) as I couldn’t find a replacement filter for it’
Amazon has excelled in this product. It works extremely well. delivered to me on the 7th Feb 2023 and today, two weeks later, I have just cleaned the filter. The amount of dust and dirt it has collected is frightening.
As they say, “It does what it says on the tin”! Highly recommend.

I purchased this for my son’s room as he suffers from asthma as well as dust allergies. He has it on overnight. I find it quite loud but I am a light sleeper. My son sleeps with it on just fine.
His breathing during the night seems to have improved since using the air filter so only positives from me.
Bought this to help remove open fire dust particals….. Since the cost of gas and electricity has gone through the roof. Ive been using the open fire more than ever. Dust particals everywhere

This air purifier is very effective. I used it in my studio and I felt it did help with the air quality, especially as I am in a city. It is easy to use. I am not sure it’s suitable for a home as it’s large and heavy. It’s also a bit noisy compared to my previous air purifier.
This air purifier is a smart piece of equipment and can be controlled via the buttons on the top of the unit. It is a large item and suitable for areas up to 96m2. It could also be used in offices, cafes etc as well as the home. It has a Nylon Pre-Filter, Activated Carbon Filter and H13 True HEPA Filter (replacements can be purchased). the air purifier can trap 99.97% of air pollutants such as smoke, dust, pollen, pet dander etc., The UV light & ionizer can further eliminate bacteria, germs and viruses, which is especially good as we move through these covid times.
We have felt a noticeable difference with this, we suffer badly with hay fever and are surrounded by growing fields.
This air purifier works really well, leaving the air feeling clean and fresh. Knowing that dust and allergens are being removed from the air is reassuring. It is quite a large, freestanding unit, that’s simple to use. I have no complaints, recommended.
It has 3 speed settings as well as 3 timer settings, which is handy if you’re intending to use it at bed time. And it also has a colour coded air sensor so that you can monitor how polluted the air is.
It is pretty large and will cover a wide area of the home.
Overall it’s a great air purifier and I would recommend it.

Very easy to change this filter over and it works like a dream. I have a very dusty workroom and this copes well. I find I have much less congestion when I use this

This product is fantastic for air purification, it leaves the air feeling fresh and clean. It helps with dust, allergens, smoke and viruses. Perfect through the colder months when you don’t want windows open all the time. These filters are definately needed to keep the air purifier working at its highest capacity.
The box contains the air purifier (with UK 3 pin plug on 2m cable), a HEPA filter (inside the machine) and instructions.
We were a bit sceptical about these air purifiers but this unit works well. The day it arrived we placed it in the bedroom and within minutes the air felt fresher and continued to. My partner is largely working from home these days and her home office can get stuffy. We tried placing this unit in her office and, again, the air quality was noticeably improved and felt ‘fresher’.
The unit isn’t one of the small desktop types and is quite large. I’ve attached a picture of it next to a sofa for scale.
Assembly simply requires that you open the base of the unit, remove the plastic cover from the filter and re-insert the filter. Replace the base and you’re ready to go (see pictures).
The fan speed can be set to three different speeds and there are three timer options. There is an indicator that tells you when the filter needs replacing and there is a child lock facility. There is also a sleep mode and when this is used the noise from the unit is barely audible and you have to put your hand above it to feel the air flow to know it is running. You certainly wake up less congested when it’s been running overnight.
The primary filter is fabric and can be cleaned using a vacuum cleaner, therefore extending its life.
It is impossible to accurately assess a machine like this without the correct scientific equipment but we have both noticed how much fresher the air is when this machine is running in the room. It is easy to set up and control and is almost silent on low speed. It is exactly as described in the product description and we think it deserves 5 stars.

I really like the styling of this filter it is compact and on low setting very quiet. I got this to use in my bedroom as I think the less dust etc. that is floating about while you are asleep the better. The unit has a HEPA carbon filter located behind the pull off bottom. Note: Before first use the plastic cover must be removed from the filter otherwise not much is going to happen airflow wise. The controls are on the top of the unit and are pretty intuitive, on/off, sequential speed control, timer for 2, 4 or 8 hours, the moon button removes all the lights so if used in the dark they do not disturb, the chid lock requires a 3 second press to activate/deactivate. The fan on the higher settings is noisier as one would expect but on low it really is whisper quiet, rated at 33w max the running costs particularly on the low setting will be very low.
Fast delivery and well packed. This machine is fantastic and removes cooking, smoking smell. Fans can be loud but will get used to that for sure.
Nite time mode is silent. This is worth the purchase if your household does smoke in some parts of your house as smells are completely removed in no time. I do recommend this to anyone and is worth the purchase

i don’t own a amazon basics air purifier but this filter is universal, if its size can fit, it will work
my air purifier use exactly the same size (20cm diameter, 17cm height, so this is a good replacement for that, it’s good to run for 6 months and all i need to do is to vacuum and clean the filter every 2-3 weeks

Was expecting them to come through the letter box so was very surprised when the postie handed me a package big enough to put a violin in.
They look to be very sturdy but are way too big for our machine .
The back appears to be a sort of mesh and behind it there is some form of black foam looking material.
On the back of the panels there is the Hepa filter side which is very beefy and made like a grid.

This air purifier is very easy for me to use and I do like the size and shape of it. It looks modern and is very stylish so looks good in my living room. It’s got a great range of functionality and its easy for me to go through the different options and settings. I think its doing a fab job and works well because its doing exactly what I wanted it to do without any fuss. It’s nice and lightweight and portable so it’s easy for me to move it from room to room around my home when I need too. I like that it’s quiet and is cost effective for me to run. I feel the quality is excellent and that it’s been designed and built to withstand a lot of usage because it’s strong, sturdy and durable so will last me a long time. It’s easy for me to clean too. I’ve not had any issues with it at all so I feel the value for money is superb and I have no hesitation in recommending it whatsoever! It’s a fantastic bit of kit and well worth getting. I’m delighted with it.
This is brilliant great powerful multi speed fan that creates powerfull suction which happily draws the air in 365 degrees all way round the bottom of the unit and draws it through the large hepa filter returning cleaner air up and out of the top of the unit.

I was amazed when I saw the size of this, not that I was disappointed, but just to warn you that it is big.
I have never used an air purifier before and I was curious
To begin with, it has a huge filter like the ones we have inside a hoover.
You have to open and remove the plastic filter and then put it back into the purifier.
Connect the plug and just connect, quite easy to use and the instructions are not even complicated.
It says it cleans the air by removing hair, odors, dust, and anything else that could cause allergies, basically cleans the air and puts out cleaner air.
It has the option to run at night in a quieter mode, it has a quick air cleaning option, it has a timer so it’s not always on and it has a locker mode for kids.
I decided to try it in my bathroom since that’s where my cat does its business and has a more active smell.
I decided to try it for a few hours, went out, and left it on until I got home, didn’t expect it to work or take long to see the effect, but was surprised by the fact that the smell from the bathroom, although the smell is still slightly in the air, managed to eliminate that strong smell it had before I turned it on.
I liked it and I think it is a great gadget to have at home for those who suffer from allergies or asthma.

Really nice digital touch design with night mode and auto mode. I never seen that much airfliw in turbo mode. Automaticly switch off if somebody open the filter side door and on when click back. What is missing is the manual I just got a small paper with the icons and what is doing I started to pusch the icons but not the controller is the ring around them. Filter so big. On the back said max 85W on my test on turbo mode it cost 90-100W but on automatic and night mode not cost too much 6-30w. It gas wheels so its moveable easily and on the side has 2 handle for stairs eg. the box came as 15+ heavy package but it not feels like this might be the filter wheights most of it because they are so big and massive. On turbo mode so noise but I dont think so anyone would use in fix turbo mode in long time, the automatic (for my it use now on the lowes flow) I still can watch the tv next to it not worst than any aircon, on night mode anyone can sleep next to it not really can hear anything.
It came well packed 2 big box, everything works fine just they need to attach manual with it.
So when this first arrived I didn’t realise how big it was. I was expecting a small table top device but it was actually the height of my one year old. However it does have grooves on the side like little handles so it’s easy to pick up and it’s very light.
Firstly it was clear that this was a quality item. It was every easy to set up with easy to follow instructions.
It has a fancy touch screen with all the settings you need. The night setting is so quiet, you don’t even realise it’s even on.
I use this in the bedroom as I normally wake up very stuffy nosed in the morning. Since using this I can definitely notice the difference. The air seems fresher and it’s a relief to know that my baby can sleep easy and I’m rest assured he’s breathing in clean air.
The is no listing page currently, so I am not sure how much this will cost. What I can say is that it is a far from basic machine in terms of operational effectiveness. It will come into its own in the hay fever season for me but in the meantime it is doing a good job of purification.
The machine has 3 fan speeds plus turbo and a sleep mode which is almost silent and turns off the lights. It has a HEPA 4-stage filter. That benefits from cleaning every couple of weeks and replacing once a year. No idea if those replacements are easily available yet.
In terms of running costs, it is 35w which is about 1p per hour. It has a 2,4,8 hour time and a child lock.
Overall I am impressed. This will do a good job in a medium sized room. If the price is right u would say go for it.

At the time of writing there wasn’t a price, so I do hope it is competitive. Assuming it is, then as long as you have the correct air purifier (B09XXT3VWQ), you will be getting a well made filter.
This is larger than I was expecting and looks like a good robust bit of kit. It has 3 timer settings and three fan settings. It also has a lock button to stop little ones or husbands (concerned about energy costs) from ‘accidentally’ turning it off. I really like that it has a night time setting which dims or hides the light displays and makes the machine run a lot quieter in the back ground. This combined with the 8 hour timer makes it ideal for nights. Personally I found fan settings 2-3 a little noisy for TV viewing, however with the night mode we have had the machine working all evening and forgot it was on. The filter Is very easy to clean. Simply turn the machine on its side and pull the bottom off. The instructions suggest this purifier works for a room up to 12m2.
I’m not sure how much benifit we will get from this and its hard to know how well its working as I am unsure if our air quality in the house is an issue. As my brother in law is currently living in a building site we are going to lend this to him for a few weeks to see if it helps with the brick dust that is migrating from the extention into the rest of the house and seems to have caused the whole family to develop a cough. The real test will be what the filter looks like in a few weeks time!

Air purifiers can make a good and positive difference, and even without allergies, we all need to be aware of particulate matter, which above certain levels, can cause all sorts of health problems, particularly respiratory, worse for Asthma sufferers (which I am also). This is a large piece of kit (but easily manoeuvrable, having casters), very high performance, and suited for very large areas (up to 1033 ft), adequate for the whole of many houses, although ours being over 2400 ft, sufficient for upper or lower floor. However, if placed fairly centrally, with doors open, it’ll probably still make a big difference, and with an impressive CADR of 800m/h, will pretty quickly make a difference. This seems really well-made, and fairly quiet in operations (particularly night setting, a little less so on the higher settings). Being Amazon brand, I would expect nothing less.
Operation is simple and straightforward, with various settings all well laid out, and intuitive via the (located on top) touch screen panel. In addition, there is (on the side) which displays temperature, humidity, and the all – important PM2.5, which is good.
This device really is excellent. It has 2 x removable HEPA filters which are easy to remove and clean / replace. They should be replaced every 6 months according to the instructions, to maintain effectiveness. However, looking at the finish, I’m pretty certain they can be washed, which I’ll certainly know either way after 6 months or so! Obviously replacement filters will be available, but since not yet (at time of writing this review), I don’t know what the cost will be.
You can of course also buy smaller purifiers, suited to say just a bedroom, but this is a good investment if you want to cover large areas — great for odour removal too! The purifier is mains powered, the included (standard IEC C7) removable power lead being of a decent length, and should be more than adequate. Being standard C7, you can always replace with a longer one if needed! Power consumption: 85W
Overall, this is a cracking bit of kit, and works really well. Quiet in operation, and with good and clear display of PM 2.5, temperature and humidity levels. Recommended.

It is very easy to set up – BE SURE TO REMOVE THE PLASTIC FROM THE FILTER (INSIDE) BEFORE USE! I am so glad I read the instructions first as you need to remove the bottom (very easy just turn slightly and pull out) and remove the filter which has a plastic protective casing around it. Rip that off, replace it the same way it went in and put back the bottom and you’re ready to plug in and start it up.
The AQI (Air Quality Indicator) in the middle first goes Red initially then changes to whatever the room air quality is detected as. You can select from 1 to 3 power levels OR press the Turbo button (for really powerful). There is also an (A) Auto button that will go adjust the power level from 1 to 3 based on the air quality detected.
There is also a child-lock (press and hold button for 3 seconds to lock and then same to unlock) which disables the other buttons whilst in the locked state.
It is a reasonable size (see image against our regular sized radiator) – about half that height. It’s a bit noisy on the Turbo mode but others are not bad at all and we found leaving it on the Auto mode was great and it switches itself around power levels if needed. You can also set a timer for 2, 4 or 8 hours.
Very nice quality and reasonably lightweight for its power. We could definitely notice a different in the smell of the air in our medium-sized lounge after about 10 minutes.
Couldn’t see the price so unable to comment on that but it sure works and does the job it is intended for and very easy to move to another room and carry up/down stairs as needed. 5 stars! Thank you 🙂
This is actually a review of the replacement air filter, and not the actual air purifier device. As such, there’s not that much to say beyond that it’s reasonably priced and very effective at what it does. The HEPA filter is particularly good at reducing household dust and smells, and it’s easy enough to install in the purifier device.
