Was deciding between this or the Ergotron LX. Saw reviews that this monitor arm is just a rebranded Ergotron LX, so I bought this — I didn’t want to cheap out because my monitor was expensive but I was willing to compromise.
When I saw the item, it looked premium and sturdy and the base was a good length and width and it looked like could hold and support my 7kg 32″ monitor.
Assembly was simple. But it took me a few to find out how to adjust the torque of the arm. Some reviews were saying that once monitor is on the arm, it’s difficult to tilt or adjust your monitor. But you just need to adjust the tension of arm.
Good purchase. It’s expensive but it’s not eye-wateringly expensive.
After looking around the Internet and seeing what people thought of different arms on YouTube, I bought an Ergotron Arm. This arm is rubbish! It never held the Huion in place, which ever way I placed the screen.. The only way I could keep it in any way in the right permission was to place a mug under the monitor. Still, I could not move it into any other permission
So drawing and designing was very Uncomfortable.
So I had enough and decided to go back on the hunt for a new arm.
Then I watched videos on YouTube again and found a designer talking about her Amazon Arm, so I bought it. WOW, what an excellent product. I can move the monitor around, and put it in the precision I need for the job I am doing at the time. You can go landscape or portrait with ease.
The best bit about the arm it worked perfectly from day one. Putting it together took minutes, and off to work I went. AND is still working well three weeks later.

Got this for 52, I could have went for a cheaper arm but I’m not risking my 4k screen to save a bit, this arm is fantastic, holds my 28inch 4k which is heavy, would definitely hold more, its built very well, I have it extended out fully over my bed sometimes or my desk, I decided to drill a hole and use the screw and clamp it on my desk so I know its not coming loose, I’ve pushed it and wiggled it strongly and it’s a rock, the metal plate that clamps and the long screw are very close together pretty much touching so you will have to adjust the plate if you want to use both, if you can’t figure it out check out this arm on the US amazon site, you will get better instructions and videos of this same arm whiched help me.
I was thinking of returning it due to me believing the joints were stuck. My recommendation is to not try to “manipulate” the joints before assembling the whole arm. Yes with force it will work, but it will make you think something is wrong when nothing is wrong.
You first need to install the arm with the monitor, even if it faces upwards. Once set up, the motions will be much smoother due to the leverage the monitor provides, then you will be able to adjust everything very easily, assuming your monitor isn’t tiny or too light.
Even if I struggled, I’m giving this a 5/5. In fact, we can’t even say that the instructions are not clear, because they don’t ask us to play with the joints before setting up the monitor.
All perfect for my 38 inches monitor LG 38WN95C-W (8.3 kg). So far no need to screw the resistance but I’m sure they will be useful in the future.
Nothing to dislike about this monitor stand from Amazon. Why pay more? This stand is solid, fits to my desk securely, looks awesome, and gives me more space on my desk than a normal monitor stand. It just clamps onto my desk, job done.
I have a 27-inch 4K monitor on this arm and it holds the weight. My screen can swing side to side, up and down, and can rotate into portrait if required.
I recommend this to anyone who wants to free up a load of desk space and have their monitor easily positioned to a comfortable viewing height/angle. You will never use a standard monitor stand ever again.

Apparently this is manufactered in the same factory as the Ergetron arms. And just rebranded amazon basic. So getting a used one half the price on warehouse was a steal. It feels really robust and strong. Easy to move but strong to stick in the excat same place.

I’ve been using the dual arms to fit a 34″ ultrawide and a 27″ monitor side by side. So far, perfect item for my needs. Moving monitors around is significantly easier. I’m very happy with my purchase!
This arm works really well. I have drllled a hole and used the bolt not the clamp.
I was hesitant on getting this because it’s half the price of the previous one I had and my new monitor is heavier, however full extended out like a straight arm it has 0 issues I can even apply more weight to the top and it doesn’t budge it’s a great product read the description and if your monitor fits into the size and weight recommendations don’t hesitate to get this

If you’re looking for a VESA mount monitor arm, buy this. Its an Ergotron that’ll last you a lifetime, support any reasonable monitor, give control and moveability and look good on the desk. Worth the expenditure any day of the week.
I was a bit unsure of this as it’s the Amazon basics brand, which I think does this stand a disservice. It appears this is a rebranded LG stand or made from the same or very similar spec and was previously being sold at a much higher cost. Really good stand, holds my LG ultra wide 34 with ease and is sturdy and also easy to move around. Getting it setup takes a little bit of work and the joints are stiff, but to be expected (I don’t want it to move around).
Great value, I just wish they wouldn’t slap Amazon basic logos on it (I sharpied them off).

At 80 there are certainly cheaper options out there, but if you own an LG monitor and are wary of compatibility woes, this is a great option.
I’ve never had a monitor arm before, but I’ve been aware for a long time that my posture while sitting at my computer desk wasn’t all that great – part of that being was not being able to position my monitor quite as I would like.
Due to a recent injury to my neck I’ve decided to address a few things in my day to day life that I feel affect my back, so after researching different monitor arms I decided to go with this one after reading the good reviews and also because it was not too expensive.
I set it up yesterday. The instructions aren’t all that great, although when do you ever get good instructions these days? But once I worked it out it was pretty much a doddle. The build quality of the product is outstanding I would say, and it supports my 27 inch monitor no problem. I didn’t really need to adjust all that much. The joints are a bit stiff out of the box, which you can adjust apparently, but I didn’t bother – I just moved the monitor into place. Once I did this I just tightened the hinges with the supplied allan key so that it didn’t swing about.
There is a slot for cable management which I haven’t used so I don’t know how good or useful that is.
All in all though, delighted with this product. Wish I’d bought one years ago!
This is literally an Ergotron LX with an Amazon logo on it but without the brand tax. I have used a few cheap monitor arms over the years and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is the only monitor mount you will ever need. I have mounted a Wacom Cintiq 22 and it holds this thing like a mother holding her child. I tried it out with my even heavier 32inch Asus monitor and it holds it up in any position exactly the same. If you are looking for an adjustable monitor arm don’t waste your time and money on cheap monitor arms and just get this one.
Definitely make sure you add a length of hardwood if you are using corregated cardboard desk (like most IKEA desks). This will spread the torque and stop the risk of a heavier monitor like mine (Alienware ultrawide 34″) from collapsing forward.
The smaller allen bolts are very stiff, and the included wrench is your run of the mill cheapy. I used my own which has added grip, so was able to loosen them without issue.
I have a heavy asus 32″ rog swift monotor that weighs 9kg … this rebranded ergotron LX monitor arm is a breeze to use not a great range of motion compared to its more expensive cousin .. but for less than 80 in the UK and thats 60+ less than the OEM ..this is a bargain … had decent range of adjustment … and the table clamp can be adjusted for depth … or bolted directly through your desk with hardware supplied … good item that should last for decades and will no doubt outlive many monitors!
Spent more than a few minutes wondering why it wouldn’t support the weight of my monitor and speakers despite being within the stated supported weight range. Instructions were no help with only vague illustrations as to what the adjustments were for. Eventually figured out what need adjusting to change the vertical spring pressure and now all is well. Good product let down by poor instructions.
Amazon can be a bit hit or miss with their basics line, but these are great quality and can be had for a very compelling price. I picked up 4 when they dipped below 40.
They are easy to assemble and very sturdy. I recall reading reports about stuck vesa plate tilt mechanisms, so I did check mine on delivery. While they were stiff, they were perfectly functional on all of my units.
The wall plate is mounted with 2 large bolts (included) that I had no issues with. Mounted one into wooden studwork, and the other 3 into a breezeblock wall (I did use more appropriate wall plugs for these, than the ones which were included). There are 4 smaller holes on the wall plate, in case you wanted to use 4 smaller screws/bolts instead of the 2 large bolts included.
The OEM that Amazon uses for these is Ergotron (at least for the units I received), so they are built to a much higher quality than other cheap monitor arms.
I’m using this stand in my home office to give me a little more desktop space. The product is well made and feels very durable. It was pretty easy to setup although tightening the clamp to the desk was a little cumbersome, but nothing disastrous.
The stand itself stays in position and has a decent range of motion. I would like it to be able to go higher than it does, but it’s still pretty good and deserves its Premium description. The cable management is ok, but fiddly and I did find that some of the bolts needed some adjustment so that the display didn’t move after adjustment, notably the height, but other than that, a great product and one which I can recommend.
I had to install on a plasterboard wall with external brick behind. I was a bit skeptical as my monitor is very expensive and quite heavy (35 inch ultra wide @ 10.5kg) but the fixings are solid so I thought no worries.
Sat down to play some Assetto Corsa Competizione with the screen almost at full extension and could hear the plasterboard flexing! Ok… Time to stop and rethink.
So I took everything back off, cut out a section of plasterboard with a jab saw.
Then I cut a thick piece of 10mm MDF to size and packed it in there nice and solid with 4 screws with the plasterboard section sandwiched on top. Fits perfectly and now it’s solid as you can get with no stress on the internal wall so I’m happy. Just need to make good!
Recommended, but if you have the same wall type as me don’t risk it just do what I did and you’ll be golden.
If you look at the photo attached my ergotron is holding my current monitor, while the unused arm (just for demonstration purposes) is this amazon product. (Just waiting on the new LG hdmi 2.1 screen to attach it to lol)
Very Sturdy very great monitor arm.
Much to what I saw one person say, this product does allow for screen tilting. Not too much, 5o forward but a large 70o backwards. This is exactly like the Ergotron LX as like others have said, just chrome as opposed to brushed silver.
I bought this for four reasons:
1) to improve my posture as I realised the monitor stand I had was too low even at its highest and was making me slump into my chair to be eye-level with the screen. Now with this thing, I’m being encouraged to sit up straight in my chair, which is good.
2) to be able to rotate the entire monitor easily. This works brilliantly. The old monitor stand could sort-of do this but would get the cables all entangled. With this, it’s much easier to adjust any way I want.
3) because if I own this, I don’t need to limit myself to buying a new monitor with an adjustable stand as this takes care of all of that, which frees me to focus on buying just the best monitor.
4) I like bringing the monitor super-close to my eyes when I’m playing computer games. Now I can do this very easily whereas before I had to physically lift the entire monitor to bring it closer and I could only bring it so close without knocking the keyboard off my desk. Now I can give myself migraines by putting my face right into the screen!
The important thing I want to say about this product that I have not seen mentioned in recent reviews is that at the beginning, everything is very stiff, to the point where I thought it had to be broken. There seemed to be no adjustability or flexibility at all. It was a comment on YouTube about how “it is really hard to move right out of the box” that gave me hope. I carried on wrestling with it, giving up and then coming back to it. Eventually I did manage to get it loosened up and working. The instruction manual is not very good but you work it out yourself eventually.
There are only two screws you can adjust with the provided large Allen key. Turn those as much anti-clockwise as you can to loosen things up and then retighten a bit when everything is set up how you like it. Someone else on YouTube complained that the monitor attachment plate is “stuck facing the ceiling” and this was exactly what had me puzzled until I found that by using brute force, I was able to bring it down into its rightful position.
A good purchase then. It seems a bit expensive but I have to hope that means quality components and an arm that won’t just break off in the middle of the night.
Ideally you will want to bolt this in place almost directly behind where you will normally have your monitor. If you can’t do this, it may be hard to get the ideal monitor position/height. If you have a plasterboard wall, I would recommend only installing directly onto a stud (wood baton). The forces and weight combined will likely mean it will get pulled out of the wall if it is in the middle of a plasterboard wall.
Before you install you will need a 10mm masonry drill bit (for a brick wall), a spirit level and a socket wrench – I do not recommend trying to install without the socket wrench!
Finally, you have to drill a 80mm deep hole, so bear that in mind. You will need to get these as straight as you can – if you can get a drill guide (these are available online) that will help.
There’s nothing wrong with the construction or quality of the arm, others have said it is a re-badged Ergotron LX but I’m not sure it is, the design is almost identical but we have a couple of the Ergotrons and they are heavier and made of brushed aluminium rather than silver-painted metal as this is. Having said that, this is perfectly good enough and it’s half the price of the equivalent Ergotron.
The problem I’ve had and the reason I’ve had to return it is that you just can’t fit two 27″ monitors on it side by side at a sensible distance from you unless you have lots of clearance behind your desk. My desk is up against a wall and that means that I have jut three positioning options with this arm:
1. Both arms flat against the wall, going in opposite directions – this positions the screens approx 800mm from my face but with a gap of about 300mm between the two screens
2. Similar position but with arms stretched forward so there is no gap between the two screens but then the screen is only 400mm from my face (which is way too close)
3. Both arms flat against the wall, both going to the same side (base offset to one side) – this positions the screens approx 800mm from my face but then the edges of the monitors overlap by about 150mm.
If I had clearance behind the desk I could arrange the arms to protrude behind the desk so bringing the two monitors together side by side while keeping them a sensible distance away.
Interestingly the equivalent Ergotron LX dual arm does say it is for monitors up to 24″, so it seems they understand this limitation and have noted it in their product spec while Amazon have not.
It’s no big deal, I can simply replace this with two single arms for only marginally more cost but it’s annoying to have to find this out the hard way.
Setup is very quick and easy. I was able to do this without any additional help. It took me about 5 minutes to mount my monitor using the toolless clamp method. They also provide an alternative way to mount it to a grommet/hole in your desk. They include large thumbscrews to mount your monitor to the VESA plate, which is really handy. For reviews saying that it doesn’t tilt, it so does! It’s stiff so you need to apply a bit of force. Read the manual. Also, tools are provided for you to adjust the stiffness of the arms, neck and the tilting mechanism, so it’s great that you can loosen or tighten the arms/joints to your liking. For heavier monitors you’d need to tighten the neck a bit more. It supports monitors up to 11.3kg and the arms are smooth and sturdy. I was able to attach a heavy graphics tablet display to it, a Wacom Cintiq 27QHD, and was able to bring it closer, lower, and tilt it 70 degrees upwards to draw on comfortably, it was perfect. Overall, I don’t have any gripes and I’d highly recommend it.
This product is really fantastic considering the price. I’ve seen other arm stands on the internet that don’t look anything near as sturdy as this one.
I have an MSI Optix MAG341CQ which is a large and heavy 34inch ultrawidescreen monitor. The stands holds it effortlessly and allows for a full range of motion when moving it around. I keep my monitor in a neutral position when working at my desk, but then I like to move it around for watching movies or working out etc and the stand allows for this with complete ease. I will note for anyone with an MSI monitor, they don’t come with the required VESA bracket for this stand so you’ll have to buy that seperately. Most other monitors come with them, just MSI seem not to.
Installation was a little tricky due to the size of my monitor, but I got there eventually and once it’s on, you shouldn’t have to adjust it much apart from tightening a few of the screws to keep it secure. Some of the tightening points are a little fiddly to get to.
Overall, great product, built well and does the job perfectly. I can’t imagine going back to a conventional monitor stand after using this.
I’ve been using this for about three weeks now, in combination with the laptop tray from the same range. It’s attached to the wall, fully extended, and there’s a 4.8kg ASUS ROG G703GI-E5005R gaming laptop sitting on it, which it’s handling with no problem at all.
The actual unit is sturdy, and well made, and like a previous reviewer, I think it’s actually a rebadged Ergotron LX, which is considerably more expensive. Even with the beast of a laptop sitting on it, it’s not showing any signs of moving and the wall mount is holding firm. I’m happy to trust it with a 2K laptop, so that says something.
It took about ten minutes to get assembled and attached, and the instructions weren’t really needed – which is good, because they are the weak point for me, as they’re in pictograms rather than actual words, and I hate those!
Overall, a really good unit, and despite it being part of the Basics range, in reality it’s anything but. Definitely recommended.
The product is great and can be configured in any way. I’m using it for my 32-inch Samsung 4k monitor. Since it is a bit heavy, the monitor arm kept dropping so I was furious at first. If I had read the manual carefully I wouldn’t have missed the part where the vertical adjustment was described. Embarrassing for me, they pointed out the vertical adjustment part, but I could swear, that part was not there when I had a glance at it. So if it’s not working for you just like in some Youtube channels, don’t panic, just read the manual again and again or call amazon support.
I would recommend this to anyone because it is much cheaper than its competitors with similar features and quality.
I have an Acer Predator Z35P mounted on this which weighs just shy of 10KG without the stand, after adjusting the tension up high it holds it perfectly steady and is the easiest mount to assemble.
Manoeuvrability is great, even with this large heavy monitor I can just put it somewhere and it will happily stay.
Cheap mounts you’re lucky for it to hold up a light monitor and you have to loosen parts to adjust it to then tighten it again after. This thing needs none of that Once it’s in place, it’s not going anywhere unless you move it yourself.
I used a block of wood under mine in the clamp due to the design of my desk as the clamp didn’t sit well enough on the metal bar, it was slipping off and really the bar was too small so I would recommend getting a block of wood if your desk is like this and you want it to be more sturdy.
Big wins:
* Mostly easy maneuverability
* Less clutter on desk / more space
Downsides:
* Really does need quite a bit of space at the back
* Tilt forward / back is surprisingly stiff – my new 4k creaks a bit when doing it.
I was hoping that the wide split needed by both a 27″ and 30″ would mean I wouldn’t need that much space behind my desk. However with only about 4″ behind my desk, the closest I can get the monitors is a 3″ gap between them. Still happy, but not ideal. If you really want an ideal setup, two separate monitor arms might be better I think – then even with limited space behind you could swing the arm all the way to one side.
One thing to note though is that if your desk is against a wall this will give you problems: The arms need room to hang over the back of your desk to get your monitors in the right position if you have larger monitors. If this is you (and I found this) then you might be better buying two individual stands as the arms can then be arrange in a more compact manner. It does cost a little more, but I do wish I had done this now.
Still, that should not detract from what is a really well made piece of kit and cheaper than the premium brands, despite being very similar to them. Just think about how the arms will fit in your space (see photos – excuse messy desk).
This wall mount is great for value. Do not be off put being an amazon basics item. I have a multi art purpose digital work station where i have included a HP monitor along with a WACOM 24 HD Cintiq on a Ergotron LX Desk Mount LCD Arm (Wall mount) which I have bought previous. In order to upgrade the existing 360 degree monitor stand this was as a better option for durability rather than a fixed position monitor stand.
If you need the extra durability and play for use of a cintiq screen, The Ergontron seems to have a much sturdier design for safety and that it won’t fall off the wall and damage the monitor, whilst the Amazon Basics one is perfect for simple monitor use and to change position on your work station, but seems probably in hindsight not best used for a cintiq because of the upgraded strength mount of the ergotron.
I’m a bit gutted to say, but the amazon product is modular like the ergontron and cheaper than, but it is better quality than the Ergotron. Not only do they appear to be similar products- THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY IDENTICAL except finish. You can actually use the ergontron extension arm ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006PYHYXG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) on the amazon basics mount to extend!!! Even the cable hideaway plastic strip/clips are exactly the same.
So all in all not suited for heavy durability for the big cintiqs, identical to the Ergontron products (except the mount fittings to the wall -amazon has less holes to mount to the wall surface), MODULAR like the ergotron mounts, BETTER quality than the ergotron for not only finish and no sharp aluminium cast edging (yes ergontron soft wires and a mettalic sharp mount do not mix and shred your cables inside of the arms).
Once again, in all great produc. Only wish is that amazon would sell some shorter arm extensions or extra arm extensions like ergotron do to create slightly more modular knuckle play.
At the time of purchase the Ergotron is available on Amazon for 111.79 and this is 89.99. If you shop around you might find the Ergotron cheaper than on Amazon at a competing retailer, but I’m confident you wont find it cheaper than the AmazonBasics one which makes this a real bargain.
I used this with a HP ZR2440w (24″ 16:10 ~5KG) and I didn’t even have to adjust the tension settings, It was perfect right out of the box which suggests that the default position for the settings is around the middle of the min/max range. Everything is adjustable with the tools provided in the accessories package, so if you find the arm sagging or springing your monitor around there isnt anything to worry about.
Just like its bigger brother (the Ergo MX), the motion is smooth, build quality is excellent, accessories are exactly what’s required to mount this either via a bolt though the desk or the clamp for the edge of the desk. I used the clamp to allow me to adjust it at a later date.
A really nice feature of the VESA plate of these monitor arms is that you can pivot the monitor 90 degrees so that the monitor is Portrait. If you haven’t tried this before, I would highly recommend it for viewing documents and websites.
As this is an Ergo LX, there is a decent amount of additional accessories available such as laptop/tablet brackets, extra sections for longer reach arms (although the colour wont match) and VESA brackets that allow a mini PC or slim client to fit in-between the arm and the monitor.
I have previously used quite a few ‘budget’ monitor arms and have since learned my lesson. They are prone to breaking or not matching up to their specifications. Buy this and avoid any disappointment.
At first I used the enclosed grub screws to lock the displays in a horizontal position. Once I’d set everything up, it turned out the displays were a fraction off level and there was a small amount of rotational play. I took the locking screws out and used the rotation to get the monitors level.
Now that I have been using them for a couple of days I realise how good they are. My monitors are 3″ higher which makes a lot of difference to my posture when working. I have a lot more desk space too with them raised up.
The weight and construction of this inspires confidence that it’s not going to let you down. I have two 28″ Acer monitors attached to this and it works beautifully.
Since the surface I’m using this on isn’t suited to the table clamp provided, I fashioned a large hardwood base out of European Walnut and used the ‘grommet’ style mounting option on that instead. This works well.
The only word of warning I have is regarding the clearance required behind the mount; If you have your table up against a wall (as I do), you may run into issues with the arms not having enough clearance to bend into position. With two 28″ monitors side-by-side, I found there was roughly 17cm of clearance needed behind the mount base (or table edge) to get them to meet in the middle, slightly forward of the mount base. Otherwise the arms hit the wall behind and the monitors cannot not be closed together.
I effectively have my stand mounted backwards to allow a reasonable monitor position. This is temporary until I get a better/proper desk.
If however your desk is fairly deep and you can afford to bring the monitors forward, this won’t pose a problem.
