These are great.
But, I decided to buy a 2nd set which were a different brand and 10 more expensive.
The difference is the other set give you twice as much cable so I can spread them out further..
Arrived very quickly.
Great hard-wearing lights that come with a metal spike. Easy to connect together.Come with an extra extension cable which is just what I needed. 6 lights are enough for a small garden.
This is an excellent set of Garden Spike Lights from Aponuo.
They are tough and robust so weatherproof for the British Weather.
They are not cheap but the quality is excellent, they should last for a few seasons or more.
They provide a warm, low powered illumination for your garden, trees and Shrubs and Paths.
The total length is 23 meters or 75.4 feet in old money.
Recommended if you want an excellent set of lights.
These are fantastic, easy to install and not too bright. Great price.
Really decent lights for the price with a fairly good run of cable from the plug to the first light making them quite easy to set up and good spacing between each one making it easy to sue them a path/driveway lighting or as we have as spotlights for creative lighting in certain parts of the garden which they look great for – nice bright lights but with a slightly warm tone which looks great/ A decent price for a set of six of these types of lights so would recommend as very happy with them.
We have a lot of established bushes in our garden so highlighting them at night seemed a good idea – and it was but we originally used rechargeable units which don’t push out much light. These lights are a decent quality and really illuminate the garden wonderfully without being overpowering. Plenty of cable as well. I do have a couple of reservations though which may affect some users.
The first one is connecting to the mains. We have standard sign outdoor sockets on the back wall of our house and another part way along the garden. These have sockets inside a water resistant cover that may be closed after the plugs has been inserted. The snag here is that the power adapter is built into the plug and the low power cable screws into the side opposite that which plugs into the mains. That means it is very long and impossible to close the socket with the plug inserted. I dont know if the mains adapter itself is waterproof so that needs unscrewing from the cable and taking into the house. We also have an outdoor distribution box which houses a four way socket, three transformers and wifi remotes for other lighting but this very long adapter won’t allow the door to close on that either. I have found a DIY solution which is safe but hardly conforms to normal electricity standards so won’t detail it here.
The second issue is minor but slightly annoying. The light cable has the lights wired a decent distance and a second cable runs from the plug to the centre of the light cable. This means that once I have positioned the light units along the side of the garden I have another cable running from the centre of the lighting back past three of the lights to get to the mains socket.. I guess there are applications where running the cable to the centre works but I would think it more likely that having one long cable with lights connected at intervals is a more practical layout and is the one employed by every other outdoor string of lights I have used. Done that way my lights would reach a lot further along the garden with no extra cable.
Overall these lights are well made and really good value but could be better with a little thought on the design.
Mains powered lights these lights are low voltage and excellent for lighting up your patio or garden. They are waterproof so can be hidden in the ground with no major changes required you can water your plants or let it rain on them as normal. The lights are bright enough to be used as focus lights they can also be used as background lighting for the walls.
These are good garden lights that come with an extra long cable which is brilliant , plenty of cable and spare slack which is better than struggling with a small cable with little reach.
The lights are tough and rugged and extremely weather resistant with waterproof, rustproof housing.
They are very easy to set up and spike in the ground or plant pot, planter or border , they are versatile lights that can be adjusted to point where you like , you can use them to light up plants or a plant pot or use them on a pathway to light the pathway up of an evening.
I prefer solar power lights but they can be unreliable at times , at least with these you are guaranteed good light in the evening even on dull days with no sun as they don’t rely on solar power so are less likely to let you down.
They give off a lovely Warm white light , they are bright and look great when lit up of an evening, great for patio areas , front or back gardens , decking areas , the long cable makes it easy to place the lights where you like too , it’s a good feature that makes these an excellent option for your garden lighting.
The price seems fair for a set of lights with excellent build quality and long cable , they should stand up to all weather’s the UK can throw at them.
Totally lit up my garden and made it so welcoming for my party which i hosted in my garden. The value for money is amazing for such an amazing design. They covered the large area of my garden as they are 23m/76ft plus an extra long cable.
For me who isn’t great with putting things together even i found them easy to install. As they are plugged into the mains they are perfect for all year round including winter as they do not need the sun to operate which is what i love as i know they will always work.
Very happy to have this lights.
They works perfect with very bright lights.
Good leight and they are main powered.
Price is good to for such set.
So surely I can recommend it to all.
Fantastic quality product
Well made
Solid plastic and metal
Lovely design
Lovely in a garden
I recommend
These six outdoor spotlights are quite small and unobtrusive but give a good coverage warm light. They come with an extension section of lead so do not have to be close to the power source. The lead splits into two sections so that the lights can be used in opposite directions instead of having to follow in sequence. This is a great idea as I have managed to light my individual ornamental trees in their patio pots. The set comes with ground spikes but the brackets could also be used to attach to a fence. Unfortunately it has a weird shaped plug so I can not close my outdoor socket protector, so I have had to place it in a dry box.
Overall a great addition to my garden lighting scheme.
59.99 at the time of writing this review is a fair price but only 4 stars because of the plug.
Nice long cable. They are daily chained together off one plug. The lights are surprisingly small and they can be mounted on something or stuck in the ground. The distance between each light meant I could spread them about. I ended up putting them in the flowerbeds but would be great to light up a pathway. They are really bright as well and they are low voltage and led powered so use very little electric. I have used a smart plug so I can do tell them through Alexa and add a timer to them so they come on at night automatically as there is no sensor like solar lights have as these are mains powered. Least these will work all year round including winter when we don’t get the sun. The seems good quality and are weather proof so time will tell if they last outside in the elements. Good price for what you get and they do look asthetically pleasing to the eye when they are on at night.
These lights with directional heads are great for lighting the driveway & garden path in the evenings, and for golden hour lighting around the patio area whenever we are entertaining/eating outdoors and want some extra light, but don’t want to annoy the neighbours with mega-bright lighting.
You can either plant the lights in the ground/in pots with their stakes, or mount them on a wall/heavyweight fence.
