Monitor is excellent given the price. Supports HDR though but not aure if that makes the content better though, better details in shadows so perhaps yes.
There is backlight bleeding but given the price that is totally acceptable
    Colours and contrast are good
    A recommended buy!

If you don’t have space for a monitor or need to be portable, this is a game changer. Great quality, with multiple connection points, makes me much more productive, especially on the move.

I often have to work remotely and I hate it because I only have my laptop with me and I lose my second screen.

I thought for the price it was worth trying this and it didn’t disappointed. This basically does everything it says it will in the description, it’s excellent.

Needed a mobile screen for plugging in and out a different computers. Including programming AI nodes. Nice sharp, visuals, comfortable good resolution fits in your briefcase or back pack. Safely between books so it doesn’t get damaged travelling ..friend at work decided to buy one for the same usage

The picture quality is good, the brightness is reasonable, the build quality seems fine, and the monitor is pretty slim.

    The negatives are:

The stand isn’t great; getting it to stay put is finicky, and you don’t have much choice in angle if you want it to stay stood up.

The controls are a bit fiddly, though you probably won’t need to mess with them more than once.

The placement and choice of ports is a little inconvenient. The controls are on one side, the ports on the other, and the cables stick out. I got some 180 degree adapters for both the power and display, but this still adds width and a little bulk, and was a let down as I bought this for a ‘briefcase computer’ build, where the required extra space on either side of the monitor, and behind it, reduces the quality of the entire build.

I was really surprised how much I like this small monitor. As a second monitor to help with photography and art it suits me well. For me the out of the box colour was very good. I’ve not used it for gaming so I’ve no idea how it would fare.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI’ve been debating buying a second screen for my Chromebook for months but couldn’t decide which. Then I saw this one was on offer so I went for it. I mostly like it but it has annoyances:
    Pros:
    1. Big clear, bright screen
    2. Works without any setup. Plug in and go.
    Cons:
    1. Useless stand. Only just works and precarious.
    2. Heavy. Heavier than my Chromebook. Why is it so heavy?
    3. Spec says it has batteries. It doesn’t so takes power from my Chromebook which seriously reduces battery life.
    4. Not a touch screen. My fault for not doing my research but using a touchpad on such a wide work area means there’s a lot of scooting back and forth. A mouse might help.
    5. The built-in speakers are hopeless. Why did they bother?

Bought for portability to use with PS4 when TV screen is not available. Really good for gaming and worth paying the extra (if you can get it at the right price!) for the 144HZ rather than the 60HZ which the majority of screens run at. Be warned The Smart Cover is no longer supplied. The seller was very helpful when I contacted them but were unable to supply a cover retrospectively. However they offered a discount which I used to buy a zip up case for travel. A stand is supplied for use so the Smart Cover was really only need for protection rather than to stand the monitor up. I note the price has more than doubled since I bought this monitor so I would say it was worth what I paid but not sure I would pay todays asking price! Having said that I would always pay extra for the quality of the screen and the excellent after sales service

With limited desk space at home and the need to have a second screen in the office this is perfect for my needs. It looks awesome and the response is great. Also used it for my switch and found it to work really well with that too

Bought this to run my steam deck and watch movies off my phone while I work away combined with a tablet arm it’s the perfect portable set up

    Great picture
    Nice colours
The 144hrz is perfect for gaming

I saw alot of people having issues with the 144hrz saying it’s not it is you need an external power supply and a cable compatible with 144 to get it it won’t run off a cheap usbc cable plugged direct into your phone or steam deck

I use it with a laptop set up. Screen quality is good. Sound is fine but who expects a thin monitor to have good sound? That’s on you if you expect that.

Only problem I have is the kickstand is weird. It’s very temperamental and the monitor falls over because of it sometimes. Quality of screen is good and the high refresh rate is good. 8/10 for me because of the weird way the stand works. Still would recommend

This screen is an amazing bit of kit. I’ve been using it with my PS5, Nintendo SWITCH and mini laptop whilst in the process of moving.

The screen is clear and keeps up with the PS5 and SWITCH, and is ideal for taking away for use as a larger or additional screen to my (very small screened) laptop.

As it runs on USB power, it is very easy to set up and is also easy to use.

Next I need to see if my phone will connect to it (as some are compatible) for use on holiday, but if not figured this out yet!

Stand isn’t great and it needs a bit more power than my laptop and switch could provide. However, picture quality is great and it’s easy to connect via HDMI. USB c to c is also plug and play and my laptop running on battery alone provides ample power for normal operation.
Light weight so easy to slip into a laptop bag as a second screen. Games looked sharp and smooth. Easy to adjust brightness. Got it for 130 so gets a high rating for value. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersBought this for my Steam Deck so I can use it as a laptop replacement while I’m on the go, and it works great. Even supports passthrough charging meaning you only need a single charger to power both. Also works with the Nintendo Switch via a direct USB-C connection, no dock required.

Picture quality is great but the HDR mode is not worth using, it boosts up the contrast and can cause detail to go missing. Sticking with the normal colour mode however is great and you still get the advantages of an IPS panel. Brightness is decent too and still viewable when you’re in a bright area. Speakers is average laptop quality.

One thing to note, this model does not have the audio jack. The description itself doesn’t state it having one so the image that shows the audio jack may be from another model. Not too much of an issue for myself as the Steam Deck and Switch has their own jack.

I use this when I travel with my small form factor PC. And when I am at home, I can easily mount it on an arm using a tablet clasp VESA mount, using it as my main gaming monitor. The versatility and the image quality is surprisingly good for something this light!

The only downsides I’d raise are
    1. the fact that the brightness can’t be lowered beyond a certain point, making it a bit too bright when using it after the sun has set.
    2. That the audio is very low

However, I am not going to knock any stars off for that, as I am super happy with the purchase. I just wanted to make other potential purchasers are.

I wasn’t expecting much for the great deal price but it is a fantastic portable monitor. As you can see from the photo (temporary position for now until I get a stand) I have it connected to my MacBook Pro (4 port) as a 3rd monitor using usb c power through. My iPad is connected via universal control so a 4 screen setup!

It only weights 1.2kg (I weighed it). It has a foldable cover and fits nicely in my laptop bag and seeing as it is powered from my laptop I don’t need to take an extra power plug and cable.

The screen quality is very good and it automatically switches between different screen brightness modes (which can be changed) depending on whether it is powered from the MacBook or direct power (just connect to the MacBook using the supplied mini hdmi to usb c) so it saves battery on the MacBook if not using a power cable.

I had a couple of questions before and after I purchased and they were quick to respond and super helpful.

I also bought this to run Zwift on an indoor bike trainer at my girlfriends and it works perfectly connected to my iPhone (I have a lightening to hdmi adapter and it comes supplied with an hdmi to mini hdmi cable, in fact in comes with all the cables you need)

I can’t recommend this product enough!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI purchased the monitor early Feb 2023 and have been using it for gaming and work purposes. It is very easy to use and you can change the scale size (max of 175%) and display resolution (max of 1920 x 1080) to whatever is best suited. You can also change the brightness and other settings from the button that the monitor has on the side. It also comes with a set of cables that you can use to connect your monitor to your device in multiple ways.

The manual states that for laptops it can be connected in a few ways such as:

    1) Using a Type-C to Type-C
    2) Using the HMDI to mini HDMI + USB-A to Type-C (the only way I found I could successfully connect my laptop)

About a month ago I have accidentally damaged the HMDI port on the monitor and could no longer use it as it would not connect any other way without the HDMI cable. It was past amazon’s return policy so I have contacted the company and explained the situation to try and see if the can fix it for me.

Within a week I got a reply and they have kindly agreed for a replacement to be sent out to me as soon as I returned the damaged monitor. The whole process took overall less than 2 weeks for me to get my new monitor and I was able to use it again. Very pleased with the product and the customer service from the company.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice and easy to use + Excellent customer service from the company

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our Users6.5/10. Quality of the monitor is nothing special, but playing games at 144 fps is good. Build quality is good. Would advise anyone interested in this monitor to wait for it to go on sale. Only then is it worth the price. I got lucky and got it on sale + 70 voucher (total cost 149.99).

Having used an oled monitor for 3 years, this isn’t even close in quality but as a mini portable second monitor for my laptop/consoles it does the job.

    Pros:

-144hz (Works with PS5/Xbox Series X, old gen and PC/laptops)
    – Comes with stand
    – 2 usb ports + mini hdmi (with mini hdmi to normal hdmi cable in box).
    – Brightness control (although isn’t that bright at max)

    Cons:

    -Can’t control volume
-Sound isn’t great (advise getting speakers/headphones)
    – Screen quality is not amazing
    – Screen has a slight grey tint to it

Overall, would only recommend if you have a small set up or have a need to have a portable gaming monitor. Hard to recommend for a primary monitor. If you can get for less than 150 and you need a portable monitor then it’s a relatively safe option and build quality is good.

*Will continue testing and will update review when complete.

Took a bit of a punt on this as I was needing a portable laptop of sufficient quality and speed to link up to my gaming laptop. Actually, I bought two, to get triple screen action.

    I have not been disappointed.

Fast, bright and 144Hz through an HDMI 2.0, absolutely lovely. Seamless next to my 165Hz laptop screen. It will only get to 60Hz through USB 3.2 Gen 1 but that’s all about bandwidth of the port, so no concerns about the monitor – it will work if you don’t have a USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection, but will be limited to 60Hz. Connection seamless from HDMI, USB-C or USB-A (with adapters if your USB ports don’t support Display mode). Thunderbolt no problems. Windows detects the monitor so it’s completely plug and play.

Very happy with this, bought another one for the wife.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThe Good.

    1. Working HDR (Tested using a PS5; detected HDR support and ran through calibration)
    2. 144Hz @ 1080p, Crisp lag-free display (tested using PS5 God Of War Ragnarok, zero complaints worked very well even in intense combat, no noticeable display lag)
    3. LOW energy (essential if you want to use this with the laptop or external battery for any given amount of time, estimate < ~10W on average). 4. USB-C PD passthrough! I'm not sure of the amount of power passthrough this unit is capable however in testing you can run power -> display -> Laptop as an example (assuming your laptop can take USB-C PD).

    The bad:

    1. Button placement prevents using this display in anything other than landscape orientation without a separate stand. You _CAN_ use the “smart cover” to position this in the portrait orientation however the placement of the buttons causes the display to continually power cycle.
    2. Speakers lack definition, the audio output is good don’t get me wrong, however it’s not going to be dolby HD quality as an example, they serve the purpose however there’s room for improvement.

The information to be aware of:

    1. Google pixel phones (and many others) do not support USB-C video, this is not a fault of the product! – if you want to use this purely with a mobile phone, please do you research ahead of time! For me this is a minor annoyance as this is not the main use case for myself, though I know may be for some.

    The use-case background.

I’ve been looking at energy efficiency for some time, prior to and especially now given the rise in energy costs in the UK, I’m using low power consuming high energy efficiency wherever possible as a result, and alternative energy products such as solar PV, and portable LiFePo4 packs, for a Living I work from a laptop for many hours a day, using a single display can impact your productivity, and it’s not always possible to have that secondary display when you most need it. I am hoping this portable display will change this for me, and will be putting it to the test in my next international trip.

Separately this is a low energy use display, and works very well for gaming in my limited testing; when playing on the PS5 GOW Ragnarok for example, combat did not suffer any apparent latency.

I plan to update this review post my next international travel, in closing a very capable product and I am looking forward to continued use of this.

First and foremost, I should mention that I own(ed) a 13″ version that had a fault.
I contacted customer services who informed me that I was outside of the 1 year warranty period. However, for free, they extended my warranty for a further year meaning I could get a replacement monitor for free.
Unfortunately, as time has gone, they no longer had my model available and asked if I wished to pick from their current range, to which I obliged and settled on this particular model.
At 144Hz I quickly tested the monitor on my Xbox series X, and was incredibly surprised, and pleased to see just how well the monitor coped with fast paced games, and how much the refresh rate made on esports games as compared to the normal big 60Hz screen it is usually hooked up to.

From unpacking to setting up, this item and manufacturers, are top quality. The materials and finish are of a high standard, incredibly sturdy, and the folding magnetic case also acting as it’s stand, is very well planted.

The picture quality is very good as to be expected from this size of screen and resolution, with some minor tweaks the picture quality results in minimal washout which can often plague typical portable gaming monitors.

Everything needed to run it comes as standard; UK power adapter, with matching usb a to usb c power cable, a usb c to usb c cable (which I am using now with my iPad mini to type up this review), also included is a hdmi to hdmi mini(the screen has hdmi mini port, 2 x usb C ports(either can be used for powering the unit or as for example, plugging in a source input, such as an iPad) and a 3.5mm jack(multiple uses, but likely mainly for headphones or transmitter)

Controls are on the right hand side, with all the usual adjustments available for brightness, etc. the unit also has its own speakers, while suitable and serve a purpose, they will never compete with a proper external speaker setup.

At the moment there is 60 off, and I have been offered a refund for my faulty monitor too.
    Great customer services
    Great manufacturing
    Great company.

Will definitely recommend this monitor if you require extra screen space if you travel a lot with a MacBook/windows laptop.

    5 stars all the way!

I dont have a machine that can play demanding games but in my experinece 2D games and older 2010 games looks phenominal to look at when played at a high refresh rate. I didnt see any screen tearing during my use on my windows sff pc. Ive looked at alot reviews on youtube about this monitor and apprently 144/120fps mainly supports PC and ps5 – thats pretty much it. Sadly it isnt supported on xbox. Fortunatley i tried this monitor with mac and I was able to output 120hz and it made my workflow so much smoother since i’m mainly a designer. I think gaming phones should output 144hz as well though not sure. Any device I havnt said will output at 60hz default. Love the thin bezels. I think I have the newer version of this model as the logo at the bottom is much smaller then advertised so its not an eysore. The control ui is different from the older model as its now centerd compared to being positioned on the bottom right which i wish they didn’t change. Brightness was a bit of a concern due to no hdr support (eventhough its stated in the description) and colours accuracy was alright. In conclusion, it really depends on the use case and the workflow. If you are a hardcore gamer, I’ll say go for it if you have a pc or ps5. Though if you’re a designer like me, Ill say look for cheaper alternatives for 1080p or look at 1440p and 4k because itsnt worth 200 unless on sale (i bought it for 170).
Oh and i forgot to mention speakers… they are quite crap for a 200 monitor – no deep base – so i suggest to use headphones or speakers.

Great monitor. Clear picture, good brightness, and easy controls on the side. Can plug in headphones via a standard small audio jack, which is a bonus.

Bought it for my PS4, as I don’t want to hog the main TV in our house when gaming (and PS Remote Play was too laggy for me).

My PlayStation is about 6m away from my screen, so I bought a long HDMI to mini-HDMI cable and it works perfectly! The cable that comes with the screen is only long enough to plug your PlayStation in if the screen is right next to it on a tabletop – probably 0.5-1m long at most.

The only issue is the built-in stand – quite tricky to figure out at first. Works well enough though.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI bought this to use with my Steam Deck. It works perfectly, both with a single USB-C connection directly to the device, and via HDMI (mini) through a hub.

I’m not a display enthusiast, so I won’t go into any of the nerdier stuff, but if you are here thinking “I want a larger screen for my Deck”, you can’t go far wrong. The response time feels low, and there’s no visible ghosting. It works up to 144hz as advertised, and I do believe that the Freesync functionality is working great as there’s no tearing when I’m targeting 40fps.

The logo is a little obnoxious, but I’ll either live with it or cover it over.

The included accessories (HMDI to mini, USB-C to USB-C, charger, screen cloth) are of appropriate quality, and then cover/stand is thus far not giving me any issues. The monitor has tiny rubber feet on the bottom which really help with stability.

The only gripe I have is that the brightness resets to 30 (max 100) whenever the screen turns off or the display mode changes, but it’s a 3-second job to put it back up as the rocker switch used to navigate settings is mapped to the brightness when it pops up.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI really like this portable monitor. Being able to play on my Nintendo Swich at my desk with this is really cool but I do have a couple of issues with it and I’m not sure if it’s with all of these monitors or just the one I received.

My first issue is that it sometimes takes me a while to show my Nintendo Switch on the screen. I’ll have both the power (coming from the AC adapter provided) and my Nintendo Switch (using the data link cable provided) connected to the monitor but no picture will show making the monitor go into power saving mode and then switch itself off. I have to unplug and plug the power cable until it finally works. It’s really awkward but it does work eventually. I’m hoping this is just a temporary issue. Maybe there’s something I’ve done wrong. No idea. But that’s my experience with it thus far.

My second issue is kind of minor but even though when everything is connected and it says my Nintendo Switch is receiving power, the battery actually depletes if I’m running a game but will charge if on the home screen or sleeping. Bit of a bummer but the battery tends to last a while anyway.

Edit: I contacted their support and the solution to my first problem is you have to plug the power into the monitor first before you plug in the Nintendo Switch. I think I must have had my Switch plugged in first and then plugged in the power. An odd solution but a solution nonetheless and now everything works! Since updated my rating from 4 to 5.
