The RGB light show when opening the case, is mesmerising. you do have to be careful when opening the small compact case not to drop it, as it not very grippy. the earphones fit snugly in my ears and the ARMORY CRATE app is okay just mainly to adjust the EQ. The functions on the earphones to pause, skip , back take some getting use to and the lack of volume control that i have had on all my previous earphones is surprising.
charging the case is via USB-C cable and is capable of wireless charging too
So I don’t usually write any reviews however I have to give a massive thumbs up to ASUs and these earphones. Set up process couldn’t be easier and especially easy if you have an rog product like a laptop or the ROG ally .. sound is incredible and the best part was the price .. I only paid 59.99 for wireless headset which should be twice or even three times the price.. couldn’t be happie
Great sounding earphones when you compare them to some which are much more expensive like AirPods Pro. The ANC isn’t quite as good. RGB and design is nice, the case feels very nice in the hand and the earphones themselves feel good quality. Plenty of runtime between charges and there are shortcuts available via touch sensors on each side. There is also an app which although isn’t great can be used to update the firmware so worth downloading for that at least. Low latency gaming mode is nice on steam deck. Overall a good buy when on sale.
I bought these mainly to use with my phone and my tv . They seem well built and the lights give them a premium feel .
The game mode appears to get rid of some of that bluetooth audio lag .
The active noise cancelling is suprisingly effective but please do not expect to disappear into your own bubble.
The case has an attractive and aggressive design, perfectly consistent with the
product that it contains inside and that it intends to represent. The size is also perfect, fits easily into any pocket.
I like the sound of these earbuds but calls aren’t that great, battery life is good ay be 4 hours per charge.
Overall it’s a good earbuds at a an acceptable price.
I normally struggle with this type of headphone as others in the style never fit me that well
I’m very happy to say they fit very well in my ear and balance nicely
The sound quality is great. I am not an audiophile. But I am quite picky over how my music sounds
The call quality is better than most when using the microphone. But I have not tested it in a busy office environment yet.
The app, wanting to run all the time is somewhat annoying. I wish they could upload the EQ to the headphones memory.
As a result I used the app to software update the headphone and then not used the app after.
Everything seems to work great without the ROG app
The ASUS ROG CETRA ANC gaming headphones are well built and have a nice sturdy case to help store it. The process to pair it with my pixel 7 and ipads was straightforward and easy to do. I have experienced better ANC but at this price cannot complain. The good thing is the settings for the headphones can be adjusted. I was able to get 3.5-4 hours of use on a full charge. Overall, very pleased for the price.
Great headphones, great sound quality, easy to use, comfortable, good build quality, look good. The gaming mode makes a very noticable difference to latency. These headphones are hard to fault.
However, if you are buying headphones with the intention of using the mic often and want your voice to sound good, these are not the best option. The mic quality is acceptable but my old cheaper bluetooth earbuds actually had a better quality mic.
Bought these as a replacement to my Pamu Slide TWS. I’m not using them for gaming but music and spoken word.
Comfort:
Compared to the Pamu’s they are much smaller in ear. Really nice fit which doesn’t give the impression they are about to take flight under a bus at any moment. Comfy without feeling they are pressing too hard against the inside of your ear
Sound:
Not as bass heavy as my Pamu’s (which were known for being bass heavy). If bass is your thing you are going to need to EQ these. Dedicate 10 minutes to finding the right levels to suit your device as they likely won’t sound heavy enough out of the box. Its worth the effort.
Treble and mids are nice with a nice mid sound stage. Its not 300 wired IEM territory but light years up from some cheap TWS on the market.
Case:
The case is tiny, USB C, feels sturdy and charges wirelessly. Handy if the USB C port ever fails.
The Asus ROG Cetra True Wireless earbuds have reasonable audio quality and features but I feel they could have improved the bass drivers.
They are absolutely comfortable imo and I haven’t had any sort of ear ache of pains from them, which is very important.
The latency is decent with Gaming mode on. Weirdly they are best at the mids and highs so they’re alright for calling and don’t have a tonne of oomph to the lows. Nonetheless, it you can get them for under 60 I feel the value is decent, and they definitely have the ROG flare to em with nice RGBs and premium build quality. Armory crate app is OK, but it does seem to interfere when I use my larger headphones as well.

Additionally, the headphones come with a compact charging case that can provide up to 10 hours of battery life.
Overall, the ASUS ROG Cetra True Wireless gaming headphones are an excellent choice for gamers who want a high-quality audio experience without the hassle of wires. They offer exceptional sound quality, a comfortable fit, and convenient wireless connectivity, all in a sleek and stylish package. Highly recommended!
I initially bought a pair of these to use along with my Sony WF-1000XM4, which I have always felt fit a bit awkwardly into my ears, no matter which ear tips I use.
Unboxing – I really liked the unboxing of these; it definitely felt very premium.
Pairing – Very easy to pair with my Pixel 7 Pro. I took them out of the charging case, and a prompt appeared on the phone to connect and link them to my Google account.
Sound and ANC – Not as good as the Sonys, but they cost three times as much, so I didn’t expect that. However, I’m still very impressed by the sound and ANC considering the cost. The virtual surround sound, bass, and equalizer settings can be tweaked in the app.
Battery – In a test from 100% to 0%, I get about 4-5 hours of use, which is really good. To be fair, most days I would only use them for an hour or two and then put them back into the charging case. The case charges via a USB-C connection, which is handy.
Comfort – They have a really nice fit and are much lighter than the Sonys, so I don’t feel like they will fall out at any time.
Design – I’m a massive fan of the design of these. The LEDs on the buds and case impressed me the most because they are really unusual and stand out from the competition. The charging case is very light, which is great for traveling and carrying in the pocket. The earphones are held in the charging case very well, thanks to good magnets and build quality.
Price – For the price point, you really can’t go wrong with these, especially with so much competition. I have recommended them to friends who don’t want to spend as much as they would for AirPods or the Sony XM4.
The only thing I would say needs a bit of work is the Android companion app. But, to be honest, you don’t really need it unless you are tweaking any of the settings.
I have had the headphones now for several days and find them to be comftable and sound pretty decent.
Charging station is a nice black sleek curvy box which keeps them nice and safe and have ad around 20 hours of charge.
Sound quality has been great for both music and games using the mobile app to tweak the EQ and set game mode.
Haven’t used the ANC or the mic as yet so can’t comment on them but reviews rate them well.
Overall would definitely recommend.
Always love ROG products, but these have blown me away. Great audio, subtle RGB accents and compact shape make these perfect to use on the go. I was sceptical about the ANC quality but can say it’s been flawless so far, no issues with connectivity. Perfect when playing games or listening to music, the quality of the sound is crisp and uniform. Battery life has been decent so far and will last me the whole day. The Armoury Crate app has been very easy to use, and I can tune these buds to my liking which I appreciate.
Can’t go wrong with these, and they’re one of the cheapest ANC wireless buds at decent quality. Highly recommend!
Does mainly what it says outside the box. My only real issues with it so far is that in public places, it’s quite common to get interference / static on my left earphone. I’m not quite sure if this is a general bluetooth problem because my Tozo’s seemed to cope fine in similar situations.
Secondly I think the button sensor can be a bit sensitive, so if I’m just adjusting the earphone to not fall out of my ear. I can accidentally pause my music. However I learned to adjust the ear slightly differently. I’ll also look into different buds for the earphones
Surprised I’d say, based on the competition it performs fairly well. It does looks pricy but with the promotions, you can get a really good deal on this with their cashback deals.
Didn’t know what to expect with ROG earbuds but I gave it a try and I was not dissapointed. The packaging was well done and they sound quality surprised me. It has a great mic for gaming too. The ANC is brilliant and works just as intended. The sound is clear and it stays comfy in your ears, but that does depend on your own ears i guess. These also don’t make my ears hurt after hours unlike some other buds.
They still need more testing and we will see how they perform in the long run but overall, very well done by ASUS if you can manage to grab a deal on these, I wouldn’t hesitate.
I bought these mainly to use with my phone and steam deck.
They seem well built and the lights give them a premium feel even if the case is a little finicky to open.
I can’t fault the sound quality, I’m no aficionado but they are well rounded with a decent amount of bass.
The game mode appears to get rid of some of that bluetooth audio lag with the steam deck wilhich is great!
The active noise cancelling is suprisingly effective but please do not expect to disappear into your own bubble. They will more damper some of the external noise and give your a much cleaner sound.
I should mention the charging port is also a little angled, making it a little awkward for some cables but the majority will be fine
All in all a great set of featured ear buds with an aesthetic worthy of gamers!
A very positive surprise from Asus. Republic of Gamers (ROG) is a well known Asus’ gaming brand, I’ve expected something flashy, full of RGB screaming GAMING but instead Asus delivered a very classy product with subtle RGB on earplugs and inside charging case. I like that, a like that a lot, bravo!
What is in the box:
– set of earplugs
– charging case (the only bit I’m not a fan of, weirdly shaped and awkward to open)
– user manual and warranty
– charging cable type C
– extra plugs
Build quality:
Made of good quality plastic, earplugs are on the bigger side but are not heavy, good shape sits very comfortable in ear, even without ANC gives a good seal from outside noise.
Sound quality:
Asus didn’t go cheap and gave Cetra 10mm drivers that provides quite balanced sound and can get very loud to the point it hurts your ears, 35% volume is optimal for me. After installing Asus Armour Crate we can Optimize sound for gaming, turn on Virtual Surround Sound, Bass Boost, Game Mode or set a Equalizer, so plenty of options to choose from and adjust sounds to your liking.
Extras:
ANC works very good.
On 1 charge I get just over 5h so respectable result.
On gaming Mode there is zero to non latency lag.
Overall very pleased with the product. Well done Asus!
I bought these as there was a promotion on with Asus & needed a 2nd pair of wireless headphones. Connection to the laptop was easy enough & the sound quality is perfectly reasonable.
So far I’ve charged them once & used them for a few hrs & they still feel comfortable & can see them being decent for long sessions – they come with 3 tips so should fit most ears.
Would I pay nearly 70.00 for then? Probably not, but if the promotions come through it’s closer to 10 – 20. Which is about what you pay for a no name brand on here. At least with the Asus you get some reputability & recourse if things go wrong.
I bought this product a week ago.
I can confirm this is overall a good product for gaming.
I am using this when gaming with my PC.
The sound is great, it’s clear and strong enough.
Battery health is not so great when using ANC but this is intended for gaming at home so it doesn’t matter for me as I won’t play games so long.
I haven’t tried any other gaming earbuds so difficult to compare but am comfortable with this for my use.
So far I am happy to have this product from well known reliable manufacturer.
Great headphones with a gaming mode that reduces the latency quite well. Noise cancellation is good when I’m using them for music and walking about. Case is a good size compared to some other headphones. (Sony). Will mostly be using these with my steam deck so hope they last!
Bought these for children and they look impressive. I like the styling of the case and the angular design appeals to the kids. They are a little bigger than I expected but the adjustable ear tips allow them to hold in smaller ears.
They have charged well but seem to be dropping quite quickly which makes me slightly skeptical of the 5hr claim. That will need longer to verify.
Anyway, happy kids for now.
I was looking for an alternative for a headphone that wouldn’t bother me for a very long time until I saw
ASUS ROG Cetra True Wireless. I use it primarily for the PC and from time to time during training with my smartphone.
The headphones are designed to be very comfortable and the sound quality is unique. Until now, there have been no interruptions to the sound during use.
The battery life is a bit too short, but with a short break of around 10 minutes, the headphones are almost fully charged again.
The quality and appearance is very good and they didn’t bother me at all while using the headphones even though I use them constantly for 5 hours.
The ACN is also great, you can hear everything in traffic and can also easily talk to others while listening to music without any problems, unless you have set the bass too high then it is quite difficult to understand people;) How to operate
the listeners is quickly learned.
All in all, if you’re looking for really good sound and aren’t afraid of the price, I definitely recommend it to others.
In summary: -good sound
-good battery
-good design
-practical
-comfortable fit, except when you wear the headphones for a long time
-good app
-quick functions respond well
-microphone is quite okay and you can also make good calls with i
If you are a fan of ROG product, you will be familiar with this headphones. The RGB function is very nice. it is on both the headphones and the case. Noise cancellation is a good feature. The low latency is perfect for games, especially those music related or shooting games. You will have to set the low latency function in their app, if not, you may find about a half second delay.
Overall, great headphones with great feature and nice effect. A must for anyone like playing games on mobile.
This is probably my 10th or 11th pair of wireless earphones. This worked well for regular uses while walking around, both for music and for podcasts. Sound quality is excellent, although felt a little heavy on the bass. Battery life was around 5 hours which is close to the claimed 5 1/2 hours on a single charge, so average for this type. A bit pricey though.
These earphones are comfortable and sound good. The ANC is effective, it pairs easily and has a nice case. However, there’s no volume control on the earphones but the other controls are good.
The earbuds are are light, comfortable and the case is compact with led indicators which is nice. Can use for long hours when not in ANC mode. Touch controls could be customised via the app but sometimes they don’t response well and have to try a few times. Overall the sound is good and fit the ears well.
Wasn’t too sure what to expect from headphones made by a peripheral company (in my eyes). But it turns out they are pretty decent.
The sound isn’t tinny and unlike my previous pair, don’t keep falling out all the time. On top of that these don’t make my ears ache after an hour.
They still need further testing but I’m glad I bought them to try out!
Awesome looking earphones. Their sleek design truly caught my attention and stands out in a good way. The earphones deliver exceptional sound and have impressed me. These earphones are stylish and have s great overall performance.
The case is well made and it’s good that it’s USB-C! Touch controls on the earphones are good although there’s no volume control. ANC works well, it sounds good and the ambient mode allows me to hear people clearly.
he headphones work perfectly, but they don’t work at all when playing games, they give you the wrong sound and completely confuse you, but for music, movies, etc. they are very good
