This is a good little gaming keyboard. It’s not got the numeric pad getting in the way so it can focus on having. The RGB options are great, giving it a huge range of colours you can choose from, as well as being able to increase or decrease the brightness. It’s very responsive, even when connected tirelessly, and it doesn’t require much setup, although you can install the Asus armoury crate software, which increases your options. I’ve used this with my PC and my Steam Deck, and it’s great with both.
Upgraded to the ROG Strix scope TKL RX from a wired Corsair k65 lux keyboard with cherry mx red switches, as I was getting annoyed with the thick cable across the desk.
The most noticeable improvement (apart from the lack of wire) was the sound when typing, lot less rattily and metallic sounding.
The RX red optical switches are fantastic, much more stable with less keycap wobble, keys only move vertically when typed, shorter actuation depth takes a little getting used to when typing though.
Battery life is good despite using optical switches on a wireless keyboard with rgb enabled.
No issues with stuttering or lag in 2.4ghz wireless mode
My only criticism is the font on the keycaps, far too gamery.
I use this wired, and wanted a keyboard without clicky keys. Once again amoury crate bloatware required. Comes with palm res
