Beautiful picture quality and a feels like a solid metal build none plasticy. Being a senior guy still getting used to all the gadgets and having fun along the way discovering all the technology which has come a long way from my first computer a Windows 3.1
I had bought a similar type of flip over netbook from CHUWI but that was just awful. The idea is good so I tried a better brand. And can only say that I am very happy with the ASUS. Fast, reliable and a gorgeous screen. Would recommend.
Really nice laptop. Slick and pretty. Quick too – and it’s an Asus so it’s solid. I just wish they offered a 15″ version. Windows 11 is what it is, can’t hold it against the hardware. And the tiny left-shift key on UK keyboards is horrific, but again I can’t fault the product itself. All that said, I am not disappointed.
The only matter is the fan noise and it get hot very fas
his is a brilliant little machine
its compact and light
i had a macbook air 13″ screen and this laptop is 13″ screen but its smallwr then the macbook air
only down side to it is battery
i can only get 5-6hrs to it compared to the macbook ai
The screen truly is glorious. Content streaming is what this made for and in such a small device.
Heavy duty work does suffer from heat and constant fans running and the i7 does sort of underwhelm compared to other set ups, but then this is well documented and understood, and as I am only using it for general daily stuff and nothing to heavy, this is not an issue for me. Then when all is finished, I can sit back and stream my fav shows in glorious high quality.
Battery life is not as good as it could be, but again this is fairly well documented and, of course, it IS supporting a 4K OLED screen so….. I still; get 6 – 7 hours before needing to worry about charging and always have the charger on hand, so again, not an issue for me.
I do use the tablet mode a lot when out an about and it fulfils it’s role well. Though it is (obviously!) a bit heavier than a true tablet I really found it very easy to carry and work with, and that screen!!!!! wow.
All in all, a lovely device with an outstanding screen and more than enough spec to what I need it to while looking elegant all at the same time.
First, this is a 2-in-1 360 laptop/tablet with a pen. If you don’t need these features then there are better traditional laptops out there. If you do need these features then this is an amazing piece of kit for the price.
Price – I have not seen similarly speced 2-in-1s, often you would be paying 300+ more for similar.
Fells premium, is a delight to type on and is light enough to pick up and carry and lounge about with it.
It comes with a pen and I have it set up to use Krita to draw with, and it is very good.
The screen is “to die for” just magic and OLED 90Hz, though it has a reflective finish and you can get reflections but I have not really noticed this much. And carry a microfiber cloth as it is a touch screen, which you will want to wipe before settling down to watch a movie.
Performance is amazing, and the Fn-F keypress toggles between Whisper/Standard/Premium that control the fans as well as some power limits and makes it easy to quickly switch if needed. Cinibench R23 score is 11000-12500.
Gaming wise it will run modern games but at low setting and FPS, older games run better. With the Thunderbolt 4 I can (and do) plug in an eGPU and game (even games like Cyberpunk 2077 do fine on eGPU)
Battery life is probably 6+hrs depending on use but it will also charge to 60% in 15min!!! so you can easily drift between power in the day.
Only change I have made is to upgrade the NVME Storage to a 980 Pro 2Tb and it was easy enough and keeps cool due to the laptop using a thermal pad on the bottom of the metal case.
I also use an old leather case I had for a previous laptop from years gone by. You will need a case as it does not come with one.
I could go on and on, as you can tell I am very pleased with this purchase.
But the Intel processor is too power hungry, especially if compared with Apple.
Because of that, the battery life is not great and active cooling is required with heavy tasks which makes the laptop nosy (but the speed is good).
Bought this machine just because Windows architecture is more familiar for me, although I know that Apple processors are superior to Intel.
Came with a nice case and pen for the screen, and some subscription trials all out the box so it’s a good package in terms of having what you need to go straight out the box.
I bought two of these for the kids to use for A-levels and they needed to be fast, long battery life and light enough to be carried around easily in college. They have not disappointed. They are very light and the touch screen is excellent.
We are yet to test their durability (!) but we shall see.
Great quality device, impressively silent and fast response
The camera could be way better and the fingerprints are getting a bit stuck on..but overall is a great device
Love the look and feel of the case. Easy to turn screen around and use of the pen is a great addition. Really impressed with speed and scree
Oled touch screen and touchpad fantastic. I5, 16gb ram, 512gb SSD enough for me. Tablet function surprisingly useful even though I’ve got a tab7+ anyway.
TLDR;
Get this laptop.
Also it does come on automatically, hmm I’m not sure if I like that …is there an option to turn that off. The screen could need looking after as it’s flexible in essence.
It’s a nice machine. Could they have not put a bigger SD card in and or made it easy ….no I guess ALWAYS the way of manufacturers.
Colours are vibrant, really slim in essence but weighty, 1.3 kg not light …if you’re lugging around all day or lifting with a few fingers from base…..could slip out of hand easily cause of the erognomicaly design. It’s a good design, I personally feel it’s comes down to the weight again.
There isn’t any place to store the stylus on this device if you’re constantly using it with that.
However one thing is they should have put at least one port of a usb C in retro and of retro. The latest new usb lead supplied
Slim laptop.
Thought that 4K would be excessive for a 13.3″ screen but it is useful for multiple windows with detail e.g. email+calendar+spreadsheet.
Would be nice if it had USB-C on both sides to give flexibility on which side the power cable can be connected.
Only one full size USB and no micro-SD card slot.
Great product but i need a bigger screen. My own fault.
I have bought a few top end laptops recently from Dell, Samsung, LG and now Asus. This is one of my favourites. Good build quality, great screen and powerful
