Nice size and compact, I love in an old mainsonette 2 bed, leave on overnight to get rid of the condensation and works as it says. Also used the clothes dry mode and dried clothes in a few hours which is much better than in a day or two without and saves using the tumble dryer. It’s uses 0.21kw/hr. Highly recommended
Very pleased with this item, it really works well, sucks in loads of condensation, drys my washing in one night, not too noisy, really pleased.
Just needs somewhere to wrap the cord when not in use.
This dehumidifier has literally taken 30 litres of water out of the room over the past 3 weeks and its not even turned on all the time really good product easy to use and would recommend
From drying laundry quicker and drawing moisture from rooms (so impressed how much water it pulls from thin air). AND it actually makes the room feel warmer. One other advantage i found with this is the fact that i had plaster work done in the home and boy did it dry the plaster so much quicker i was able to repaint the next day. purcchased cheaper ones that lasted barely a year before failing
So i recommend paying that bit extra for something like this model and price. it will make economical sense in the long run.
I took a while searching before deciding on this model.
Humidity levels are not so terrible in my house but with the onset of winter, I expect it to rise quite a bit.
I decided on this because of its relatively low running cost.
I was excited to receive it but noticed the delivery guy delivered it upside down. I opened up the pack and first thing I saw was a note that said the unit should be stored upright for 24hours before use; bummer!
So I brought it out, looked it over before storing it in a corner for 24hours. I was quite impressed with the quality of the build; it looks promising.
24 Hours later, I excitedly plugged it in and fired it up! I was quite disappointed that it wasn’t as quiet as I expected it would be. Sounds like a small fridge in my opinion but I guess that is to be expected because of the compressor.
The touch controls are very responsive and the device is very easy to use after glancing through the manual.
The humidity sensor on my wall had my room at 66% and after leaving this device on for about 2 hours, it dropped to 55% but most importantly, the room felt less chilly and that in itself was impressive.
Overall it works great so far and I will be watching how it impacts on my electricity bill in the coming days.
I’m quite happy with this dehumidifier… it’s happily removing about 5L a day from a small room on the side of my house that I use for woodworking projects. I’ve been using a lot of polyurethane varnish which has been taking an age to dry in there (like several days instead of the expected 24 hours). This has really helped. I’ve run it in the house too whilst stripping wallpaper with a steamer and then repainting the walls.. it really helped. I can’t speak for the longevity as I’ve only had it about a month or so but it’s been running pretty much 24×7 during that time and seems fine. I hope it continues working for a long time.
If I had to criticise anything I’d say there’s a few niggles on the controls and how they’re described in the manual (night mode for example, the manual says something like ‘press the button to toggle’ but actually it seems to be ‘press to turn on, double press to turn off’) but I figured it out. The air filter especially and to a lesser extent the water bucket can be a bit tricky to line up when you’re putting them back in – they don’t seem to want to click back in smoothly but you get used to it.
But to be fair, for the money paid compared to other brands, and to get a proper refrigerant/compressor based unit I’m delighted… it’s doing what I wanted and the overall impression is of pretty good quality.
As I say, I just hope it lasts the course (unlike so many things these days which don’t). Thankyou Avalla… company does seem to care about customer’s experience too which is a plus.
I very much the clear display and “clicky” buttons on the top mounted panel.
Decent length of power cable and so easy to operate.
Would be nice to have the instruction book layout altered to show the panel AND functions ALL on the same page. Currently i had to turn between two pages.
If your NOT nimble fingered, it can be difficult to remove the water collection box at the rear of the unit.
Perhaps some sort of fold out handle?
Good value for money
I bought a X-95 Dehumidifier which is the smallest of the family as I only needed it for a small 1 bed flat and it really does a great job for the size of it and I can tell the difference of how lighter and the air feels in my flat as I had a pipe leaking in my bedroom ceiling and it caused a lot of damp and condensation and I had to get a dehumidifier to dry the ceiling out after fixing the leak so had a deep search on the Google, Youtube and Amazon and I cam to this deumidifier Avalla X-95 and everything sounded fantastic about it refering to the reviews and my searches so I ended up purchasing one and since I have purchased this dehumidifier it has been drying the wall very well and I use it for my whole flat and it collects a large amount of water daily comapring to it’s size which is small really but quite handy for moving it around, love the easieness of using it and how well it does it’s job the only thing is the noise a little bit loud to be honest but overall very happy with my purchase and definitely reccomend it to anyone who needs a smart, small, cheap, easy to move around the place that doesn’t need co stant attention dehumidifier.
We purchased this unit as we had a slow leak in our bathroom which has been going on without our knowledge for a long time. We haven’t used a dehumidifier before and have been very impressed by the amount of water being collected into the unit. We are very impressed with this small useful unit.
Had this a week now and specifically chose it because of the good reviews. It’s quite compact, comes on wheels, so easy to move around. We have it upstairs in the back bedroom which has a flat roof and seems to suffer more from the weather than the rest of the house and with the bathroom outside it, it can get mist after people shower. It tells you the humidiy in the room when you turn it on, our bedroom was 58/100 on the first day we tried it which was sunny. You can set the humidifier to stay on or to just run until the humidity comes down to a certain level. We went for the latter and it worked very well. We tried it a day later when it was pouring with rain and we had damp on the wall (we are just in the process of a replacement roof for this room) and it measured 73/100 that day. Within a couple of hours, on the low setting, it had brought that down to the mid fifties and the damp patch dried out. General advice seems to be your room should be no more than 60/100 and this did a fine job of bringing the room below that level in quick time even on the low setting. What I should mention is how easy this device is to learn to use. The instructions are short and to the point and very clear. No faff or dodgy foreign language conversion. So we had this going in no time at all.
Bought this to help with the humidity in winter. Love how compact it is and it is so very user friendly and quiet to run. Helps enormously with drying washing in those soggy months and is very economic to run. Delivery was very quick. I would highly recommend this product and cannot find any fault with it at all. Love it.
I purchased this as my home is a little damp, I notice the difference not long after using it. The water extraction is good, cloths setting is a little slower than expected. Good product overall.
Avalla X95 Dehumidifier
I recently bought the X-95 Dehumidifier via Amazon. It is a nice looking product, compact and powerful. Bought in preparation for winter mainly, but used already: impressive amount of water collected! Collection drawer easy to get out and put back in. Very pleased so far. Nice to see that the product and the company have good environmental standards. 2 year warranty helpful. Excellent customer services staff too.
Avalla X-95 10L is designed to be fashionable and lightweight. It has wheels at the bottom for convenient mobility. There is a slight noise during operation, but overall, it is reasonably priced and highly recommended.
Very light,There is not much noise, but the capacity of the water tank is very small and the water rises quickly. Soon there will be a bucket full of water.
I read various reviews about this dehumidifier before purchase and I have to say that I can absolutely add to the positive ones. This model detects the humidity level and has multiple functions where either you can set the humidity level you want or have it on a continuous setting. It has massively improved the air quality in the ground floor flat we are renting (humidity levels are 70+% at times). I honestly would recommend this product and would not hesitate to purchase it again should I need another!
I love the size of this and how much water it gathered. So far I have only ran it once as the weather is so good currently but so afr very happy!
I purchased the X-95 unit to dehumidify my very wet detached garage. I like the unit and it is now performing well. But I had a number of problems, most specific to my own situation, which Avalla has been very helpful in solving through their customer service email contact page on the website.
First problem – I had not appreciated prior to purchase that this unit, like all the others on the consumer market, are not designed to function effectively in very cold spaces. My garage is unheated and the unit was not very effective when I started using it in late January (in the UK). I solved this problem by putting in an electric heater for a few weeks until the major problem with condensation dripping from the roof was solved.
The second problem involved setting up the drainage hose so it would work properly. I passed the hose (which was provided with the unit) through a wall to the outside and placed the end of it in a bucket so I could confirm that it was working as well at it had when it was draining to its internal tank. It was my hope that I could observe the water collecting in the bucket. I had not anticipated that once the end of the hose was under water a back pressure would develop which inhibited the water from draining down the hose and sent it instead into the internal collection tank. Once I took the hose out of the bucket and let it drain onto the ground this problem went away. Customer service was very helpful as I struggled to figure this one out.
If I could change one thing on the unit I would re-design the internal collection tank to make it easier to pull out. I find it a bit awkward to do with two hands. I have not compared with other brands to see if their tank removal process is easier. For all I know they may be harder.
I also appreciate that the company is using the most advanced and environmentally friendly refrigerants. This is one feature which attracted me to the unit. So I was a bit dismayed when I unpacked the unit to find that the packaging uses environmentally very unfriendly styrofoam. I did mention this to the customer service team and they told this that the company was planning to rectify this soon and change the way the unit is packaged. No dates were given but it appears to be a high priority for them.
One other thing which would improve the start up experience. I think there should be a QR code at the beginning of the manual that links to a video quick setup guide. This is so easy to do these days with nearly everyone having a smart phone. It would be great if there were two videos – A quick setup guide and a separate detailed operations guide. I think a lot of people are like me and hate reading user manuals. It is rare to find one that is well written (sadly Avalla’s is not) and it is so much more effective to have it well explained with benefit of video. For a company which clearly does take customer service seriously this would seem to be a natural.
I enjoy checking the digital humidity percentage display on the unit each time I go into my garage. When I started using the X-95 it was reading over 95%. After some months of operation it is now down in the mid 40%. The items I have stored are no longer growing mold. I am very pleased.
Works well in my mould-prone house, collecting plenty of water in every room. Easy to empty and operate with clear instructions. On wheels for easy transport around each room on a given floor. Liftable for upstairs. Have used it successfully to dry clothes overnight. Cheap to run. Humidity levels in each room definitely reduced, used in UK Winter/Spring so far.
I have purchased the Avalla X-95 Smart Dehumidifier for Home & Office 10L, we’ve been having problems with damp in our bedroom and have tried none electric dehumidifier products which had been absorbing a fair amount of water but just not enough to stop damp and black mould on walls and in wardrobes, so I took the more costly option of buying and electric dehumidifier and after a little research I found this new ish brand Avalla, so having now used the X-95 for a week I have to say it’s shocking just how much more water has been removed from the room, when you turn it on and it tells you straight away how much humidity is in the room then as it goes to work you slowly see that number coming down is pleasing to see, then when you open the drip tray and see how much water it has collected you feel even happier knowing it is doing exactly what it says on the box! so yes I’m very pleased with the Avalla X-95, if I had to find any fault with the machine I guess it would be great if it was just a little bit quieter! it does say it will become quieter after the first few times of usage but I wouldn’t say it has got any quieter so that’s the only down fall but that said it’s not stupidly loud but most people probably wouldn’t find sleeping with it on very easy!
My bedroom is in the basement of a maisonette flat, so there is a lot of rising dampness. This has caused my clothing & shoes to get mouldy in my wardrobes so I have been looking for a solution to keep the humidity levels down. I previously had a small dehumidifier which worked ok, but I still had the portable dehumidifier pots and hanging ones all over my room filled up within a month.
This machine is strong & powerful yet quiet & adjustable. It looks amazing and gives so many settings to ensure it works optimally for your space. It’s super easy to use, and so potable which makes moving it around from room to room extremely easy. I’m so happy with this dehumidifier; the humidity levels in my room were down from 58 to 44 within a day! The 2 year guarantee from Avalla additionally gives me that extra piece of mind.
Highly recommended!
This Dehumidifier is absolutely amazing (and I’m not just saying this). We had a smaller Dehumidifier and it always produced water in the tank but this Avalla x-95 Dehumidifier wipes the floor with that smaller one. I switched it on at 2am and by 10am there was a considerable amount of water in the tank. My wife did a full wash yesterday evening so I switched the machine to the clothes symbol, this morning the clothes are practically dry and the water tank was about half full. Normally it takes a couple of days for the clothes to dry indoors but with this Dehumidifier they’ll be ready for putting away this afternoon.
This is the first in the range of Avalla dehumidifiers, if I could afford the one that dries the whole flat I’d get one. The X-95 was 230 so being disabled was quite a stretch for us but we needed something. The air in the room is much fresher and warmer and we don’t notice the musty damp smell so much. Highly recommended.
