I bought this to replace a Caldigit hub used with a 2020 M1 MacBook Pro. This hub looks good but wouldn’t liven up my screen via hdmi and the USB 2 had so little power it was only useful for a mouse. The Belkin hub is half the price, livens up my screen immediately, has extra functionality of USB C and memory cards plus both the other USB sockets have enough power for my peripherals. The connector is quite short but easily turns through 180 degrees to sit just above my laptop..
Overall I’m very pleased with this excellent value hub.
This product is well made. This product is seamless to install and so small, it is hidden behind my screen and it seems all well managed. I have used it for a few weeks now and it has not missed a bit.
The only little issue is the drop in power while using passthrough. My Dell keeps on giving me messages about slow charging.

El conector USBC es compatible con la funda Combo Touch de Logitech para el IPP de quinta y sexta generacin.
En el propio puerto del iPad entra recio y no se bambolea ni un milmetro, cosa que puede gustar o no.
Probado por HDMI en Stage Manager, con un ratn de pincho USB, auriculares minijack y adems cargando por el USBC, 20W Power Delivery, y aunque calentito calentito, funciona perfecto.
Buena compra si est de oferta, el precio ntegro me parece demasiado caro.

All the testing methodology is detailed below, but most people will want the short summary, so here it is:
+ Good/expected: USB 3 ports are true USB 3 speeds. HDMI works fine and as expected, including with audio. The hub could charge my phone fine while I was using it connected to a TV.
– Bad/disappointing: For the price, I would have liked to have seen a USB C data port too.
Summary: Solid but pricey USB-C hub that does everything that it is meant to very well, but there are other unbranded hubs out there that do the same for less. You’re paying extra for the brand name which does offer a more solid guarantee of quality. 86W power delivery will comfortably charge most USB C PD enabled laptops quickly as long as you pair it with an appropriate charger. It is specifically advertised as optimised for Chromebook but I believe this just means it is certified by Google — other hubs will also work with Chromebooks and this hub will work fine (very well, in fact) with other computers and devices.

Testing methodology:
I tested the hub’s USB 3 ports on my desktop PC using CrystalDiskBenchmark against a control of plugging everything directly into my computer. For USB speed testing, I used an 18TB USB 3.0 WD Elements HDD. Network port speed was tested by timing the transfer of a 1GB file to another computer and back again using a known good cat 8 Ethernet cable. I tested the HDMI port using my Samsung S21 FE phone, testing on different displays using two different known good HDMI cables and with peripherals and power delivery attached.
Results:
Data transfer tests (connected to PC):
– USB 3.0 speed: 227.4 MB/s ( 0.22 MB/s slower than the control)
– Network transfer speed: 21.8 seconds (3.4 seconds slower than control)
Mobile device tests (connected to phone via USB-C port):
HDMI display worked fine with both a Samsung monitor and an LG TV, transmitting display and audio with no issues. The mouse I attached worked fine (with my phone going into Samsung Dex mode and working like a computer desktop).
So far, I am quite happy with the adapter. The built quality is great. It looks and feels premium. Nice design and is small to easy carry around in the bag. Designed for Chromebook but it works with other laptops as well. A useful hub to own with high-speed ports, especially useful when traveling and needing to connect a projector to the notebook. Also, the data transfer speed was impressive.

Will recommend if price is not the issue.
Got this to expand some ports on my laptop, it does have USB-C but can’t be charged through it so haven’t tried that functionality. This does give me 2 extra USB-A ports to play with and since I’m not using the USB-C for power I can use that too (I think) but it would have been nice to see at least one other spare USB-C port. I have a LAN cable, a wireless mouse dongle and HDMI plugged into this and stored near my TV when I want to plug my laptop in to watch something on a larger screen. Makes it easier to just plug in a single USB-C although I do also have to carry the charger over but thats not down to this I guess, more my laptop.
No issues with output or connectivity. I think if I had paid the almost 70 asking price just for this purpose I would be a little annoyed with myself, even with a brand like Belkin behind it there are plenty of items that
offer more connections for a lot less.
There are countless USB-C hubs available for a wide range of prices. This is the first I’ve used marketed specifically for a Chromebook and it works flawlessly.
I have been using a cheaper adapter that has done the job but this thing is far better built.
It also works great with my iPad and my laptop so three devices are given an extra lease of life.
The biggest advantage this has is actually the length of the cable – most of the cheaper ones are on a really short cable making it difficult to arrange the desk – this has enough length to be able to tuck the adapter and the rest of the wires neatly behind the laptop.
70 at time of review
It’s Belkin, so you know you’re getting a quality bit of kit with good tech inside, but you pay for it although note this is all plastic, and at this price I would expect a metal case, so it’s fine if it’s going to spend its life more or less in one place on your desk, but if you’re carrying this around a lot then bare that in mind.
I quickly tested this on my MacBook Pro and it was happy, everything worked fine, as I expected, but the real test for me was on my iPad Pro M1. This worked flawlessly (NB some USB-C devices don’t work as you’d expect with the M1 iPad Pro, often etc HDMI doesn’t work at all). With the up and coming release of Stage Manager on iPad OS 16, this hub is going to come into a life of it’s own for me, as this will be permanently set up on my desk connected to a separate 4K screen, ethernet, plus an external hard drive now and again. Allowing me to use my main Mac for work whilst I can keep an eye on emails and social messages on the iPad Pro.

I really like this little hub, it’s a perfect companion for my Chromebook. I was able to power my Chromebook passing the power through the hub while at the same running an external portable monitor connected to the Chromebook via HDMI.
The hub has on it an ethernet port, a HDMI out port, 2 USB 3.0 in and a power input via USB-C.
I tend to use my Chromebook as a portable laptop and for me being able to run my Chomebook and portable monitor though one power lead is brilliant.
As soon as I plugged in the adaptor my Chrombook recognised it and whether it was connecting a USB device or HDMI lead it worked seamlessly. I think with this being marketed at Chromebook owners, a device like this is a perfect companion, as previously I could only use the USB-C port to either power the Chromebook or run a USB-C to HDMI and you are obviously have to then think how much power your Chromebook actually has.
You obviously can run the HDMI lead to any monitor through it and can power a bigger monitor externally without using the hub.
It does have a very plastic feel but the upside of this is that it is light and small so will fit in a little bag with your Chromebook. It is simple with it’s styling, just all black with belkin written on the corner of it. The USB-C lead coming from the hub is connected to it, there are no lights on the hub or anything like that to tell you it is powered on.
At 69.99 as of September 2022 I do think it is quite expensive as it is not the most exciting thing, its a hub that will power your Chromebook but it does what it does well and I think if you are going to get the most out of using it then I think it’s a well thought out and nice little device to run an external monitor, especially those of us with Chromebooks that just have one USB-C port for video and power.
I needed one of these for my son’s Chromebook, keeps all cables tidy, and allowed him to use the TV as the monitor to show us his school projects. Great picture quality on our 4K TV
Ordered this for my son to use with his Chromebook. We use one of its 2 HDMI ports to connect to a monitor and it also frees up the laptop’s. It serves its purpose well and is a quality product, but there are obviously cheaper alternatives that will do the same job. Reduced by a star taking into consideration the cost.
Well having had a tablet for a while, I recently decided to look into its multi-media uses. It’s far more portable than a laptop and has an array of games for kids and adults alike. Also, with streaming apps, it’s a great source of entertainment.
This adapter makes full use of the tablet. Whilst it’s advertised as a means to maximise a Chromebook’s potential, I’ve found it’s opened the lock to the iPad’s full potential. It can now access USB devices and connect to a more secure ethernet connection. Also, it can now use old computer monitors to make them “smart”, allowing you to seamlessly stream Netflix etc, without any bordering or lagging. Without the lagging, it also makes tablet gaming on a larger monitor a possibility.
Didn’t think I would love this device this much. In itself it looks and feels fairly innocuous, being of plastic build, but the potential it unlocks is undeniable. There are no connectors included, but these cables are normally readily available around the house, HDMI cables etc.
Very happy to recommend this form of technology, and with a brand name of Belkin, you have a level of confidence.
I picked this up as an inexpensive & experimental dock for the Steam deck; my review is here to confirm it charges whilst connecting to a TV via HDMI, so tick in’t box.
Excellent quality, lightweight, attractive. This does what it says on the tin! Plug and play so no complicated set up, works perfectly with no lag/ freezing as I have had with other manufacturers. Five stars well deserved.

It performs exceptionally well in all areas, with no lag or delays, your devices appear as soon as you plug them in, making them available instantly. The solid aluminium casing is sleek with rounded edges and matches the current line-up of Apple’s MacBooks. It has a slim form factor which makes it ideal to carry around in a tech pouch when out and about.
On the downside, It perhaps would have been nice to see an LED indicator to show the power status, a longer cable would have been convenient and perhaps a lower price point. But regardless, for those that are in need of additional ports, this is a great expansion adaptor, definitely recommended.

This is an excellent hub – it is beautifully crafted and has a premium feel to it compared to cheap unbranded ones I’ve used previously.
All the ports work exactly as expected and described in the listing. Connections are secure in the ports.
You get 14cm of cable between the end of the hub and the USB-C connector, which I think is about the right length.
I’ve used it with a chromebook and a compact desktop, both of which lacked some of the ports on this hub. It’s a very handy gadget.
This is a good little device. The hub is compact, and nicely made with a brushed metal outer casing that doesn’t show fingerprint smudges. The two additional USB ports, HDMI connector and single USB-C port add much-needed functionality to my basic netbook. At 15cm, the connector cable is long enough not to put some space between the hub and the computer, without being overlength and prone to getting damaged when transported. Pass-through speed for USB-C charging is excellent.
Connected this to my laptop to screen and works perfectly without any issue.
When plugged in, I would recommend putting your computer on a flat surface since there would a risk of damaging the type C connector if you caught it on your lap. This is due to it only having one point of connection, which will mean this is a real risk.
So far I haven’t had any issues with a USB data stick.

Overall, it is a small, portable and very useful device that has allowed me to connect a lot more to my MacBook.
This Belkin 7-in-1 multiport adapter has the following ports; 4K HDMI 1.4, USB-C PD 3.0, 2x USB-A 3.0 BC1.2, SD 3.0 card reader, Micro SD 3.0, 3.5 mm audio in/out.
It is good quality and very easy to use- simply plug and play. This has quite a high price point compared to others on the market but I would spend more every time on a well known brand such as this as you can tell the quality difference.
I have had issues with cheaper hubs but I am very happy with the Belkin one. It feels better quality and works great. It really is plug and play and I have tried it on a Macbook Air and Surface laptop. It takes up one USB-C port and then gives you a load of extra ports. I don’t use some of the ports but the HDMI out and SD slot is a great addition as some smaller laptops don’t include them these days as they are so slim. If you use the macbook air and the older model it only has one USB-C port but this has a pass thru so you can charge at the same time. It has USB 3.0 ports so everything is super fast when transferring data. I have nothing bad to say about this, its light weight, works great and portable.
This is the swiss army pen knives of multi-ports. Ethernet, USB’s, card reader. You really get to add a lot of options to your laptop or tablet.
It also looks good as well and appears to be very well made and robust.
A complete cinch to set up. You just plug it in and away you go.
Great little device that greatly expands the usefulness of your device by adding a whole panoply of extra ports . Simply plugs and plays. All ports work well. All in all 5 stars, very useful.
I’ve had a number of these USB-C Multi Port adapters for different computers in the last few years. Usually to give me additional USB Ports, and HDMI Monitor Connection on a laptop.
However, when you buy a cheap one, the quality is often dubious, and the unit can loose connection etc.
Belkin make quality products though, and this one is no exception. Reassuringly well made, in an attractive finish.
I’d have no qualms plugging this into an expensive laptop or MacBook.
It suits my HP Envy Notebook very well.

Quick, simple review for a quick, simple hub. My experiences with it have been positive – I use it with my work Macbook Pro – a brand-new 16″ i7 so not exactly light on power requirements – and with the official Apple charger.
It works. Everything I’ve connected works, the card reader is good, nothing has failed or dropped out yet. Disc speed for my external SSD is slightly reduced but still faster than I’m used to from my last machine, and the only downsides are no USB-C passthrough (work uses USB-C to displayport on some monitors) and the hub gets warm passing power to the Mac.
Main downside is price. Despite Belkin’s name and reputation we get issued with cheaper generic hubs/card readers – and they work just as well in my experience.
I’ve also used this as a card reader for my 2021 iPad Pro – works fine. Overkill for that!
But this is nicely finished and support is from an established firm. So, loses a star for value (it’s not that much more than competing hubs), but it does what it says, and in my experience does it reliably and without fuss.
In my experience, you get what you pay for and Belkin, although consistently more expensive that some of the cheap generic copies always seems to come up trumps.
I got the 4 in 1 multi port adapter predominantly to be able to connect my iPad Pro to the TV when on holiday to watch Netflix and Prime Video movies. I did get a cheaper one a few months ago but it would not fit into the USB-C post of the iPad with the case on which was a complete waste of time as we never take the iPad out of the Logitech Keyboard case.
The Belkin 4 in 1 comes well presented in a branded cardboard box. The USB-C short lead neatly clips into the iPad with the case on – not even tight – and on connecting an HDMI cable to the Belkin and the other end to the TV, it instantly mirrors the iPad screen on the TV. It DOES allow you to play Netflix and Prime through it (some early models were blocked by the streaming services) and gives proper HD quality on a big screen.
It’s completely 100% fit for the purpose for which it was intended.
The USB-C port allow pass through charging so you’ll never run out of battery again.
We’re in Devon at the moment in a cottage and we watched a family movie last night. No more Firesticks for me. No more connecting my laptop. The Belkin is the solution we have been looking for.
It is expensive – around 50 on Amazon but I think it’s well worth investing in quality peripherals for the iPad which cost an arm and a leg.

We cannot fault the product, but the price is rather high compared to how many very well made products are on the market. If you want something you can rely on and don’t worry so much about the price, this one is one to get though
I have always rated Belkin as providing quality computer accessories. This hub costs about 4 times what a no name equivalent will cost – except they will likely include a card reader or two. This works OK – although I thought the ports were slightly off set – so I was a bit nervous in pushing in some cables. That seems to have sorted now – so maybe being used has striaghtened it out. It does have 100w pass through and it does offer 4K assuming you are using USB 3.1. It’s just the price!
As with everything I’ve had from Belkin, this is of good quality, has a generous range of ports and does exactly what it says without issue. My favourite part is that it’s on a cable so doesn’t have to sit flush to the device which offers some additional range of movement and also stops me worrying about the adapter getting snapped off when plugging other devices into it.
The build quality is solid, the ports are well made and the overall package is great, it’s the perfect laptop bag adapter due to is small size and it includes some of the most required ports =, which is ideal as laptop manufacturers move towards just having one or two USB-C ports.
Really happy with the adapter and can see it getting a lot of use with my laptop and MacBook.
This extremely small type-C hub containing a 4K HDMI out, 100W PD input and a couple of type-A USB 3 ports is ideal if you are constantly on the go like me. This works absolutely fine with my Surface Go 2 fed by a 45W 12V type-C car charger connected to my LiFePO4 battery with absolutely no issues. As the SG2 only pulls around 30W when charging this set-up works for me but I’ve also tried it with my LG Gram 2021 model 16 inch laptop at home using a PD 100W mains charger with absolutely no issues with the Gram charging very quickly whilst in use so no problems what so ever. The hut is extremely compact so easy to travel with and all the ports work fine with no issues so highly recommended.
I get the full speed through this and can connect a 4K tv to my iPad or Mac without any issues. I can also access external hard drives at max speed when I have a power source connected.
My only issue is the cost. I have a few of these devices that cost a fraction of the amount and still have power deliver pass through albeit not 100w. That’s why I dropped a star. Ideal for business when it needs to last longer with more uses but probably not needed for occasional use.
I don’t know what happened to this order, it seems to have got lost on its way for awhile. But all good things come to those that wait… I am told.
In the meantime, because I have two laptops with only USB-C connections, I had been using a variety of other options. This 6 in 1 adaptor has proven not only to be a great deal more convenient, but also the transfer speeds have been better than cheaper alternatives.
The single most impressive part of it, is its HDMI port, which does not create screen banding, unlike almost every other that I have tried, suffering from on occasions.
Conclusion: It is more expensive than many other products boasting the same features, but is not only worth the higher price, but was also in this instance worth the wait.
This hub has a nice weight to it, giving it a quality feel, and is heavier than a lot of the others I have tried. The aluminium casing is very well finished off and so are the ports and cable. In terms of ports, you have:

4. 2 x USB 3.0
5. SD Card/TF Slot
The cable is quite short (15cm) and did pose me a problem for me when connecting it to my 12.4″ tablet and made positioning of it not ideal.
I connected my 32″ WQHD monitor, ethernet cable, mouse, back-up drive, memory stick and USB-C charging cable to this and then plugged it into my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus to run Samsung DEX. My tablet recognised the Ethernet connectivity and automatically switched from Wi-Fi to wired. With the screen, I had the choice of having DEX on the main screen, with my tablet having a different display, or mirroring. Either way, there were no issues, and the picture quality was excellent. The mouse also worked fine and so did the external memory devices, with transfer speeds being fast.
The size and weight make this an ideal travelling companion for business and/or personal use
Overall, I think this is a very well put together hub, which delivers on all fronts, apart from price. You can get the same or more connectivity for about a 1/3rd of the price of this hub (68.33) and they are certainly not 2/3rd the quality.

I have always liked Belkin products and have a fair few of them. They are well made, they do the job they are designed for and they do last. Whilst not the cheapest, you get what you pay for and that is quality. This is a very simple device that massively improves the connectivity of your laptop. Many of the newer laptops or tablets now come with fewer ports. This deals with that issue. It has various ports (HDMI, SD, USB etc.). I plugged it into my laptop and it was working instantly. Transfer speeds seemed good to me (tried it with USB stick and SD card). It can also be used for charging (which I have not done as not needed). A simple well designed well made and practical device. Well pleased.
