Not bad for price but as turned more and more noisy over the last few days
Black 6 way junction attachment has hairline split on one end. I didn’t notice until assembled and switch on only then did I feel & hear air escaping. Otherwise good and silent. Used a little silicone to try sealing. If doesn’t work will contact seller.
This is great, much quieter than our old one too. The air flow is strong. Would definitely recommend.
Well worth it. Great air flow. Not loud at all. Can well packaged and easy to set up.
Bought this to give an air assist when using my laser cutter and it works well.
Got this to power a air disc and it does so very well , loads of bubbles and air in my pond now
I always buy Blagdon and have never been disappointed… Highly recommended
My pond is 5,000 litres so I purchased the basic 1800 model, which is rated for 10,000 lites ( or 5,000 if you have Koi, which I don’t), so it was massively overrated for what I needed. That said, it was just about the only one I could find that was totally weatherproof. I declined the option to buy air stones and tubing with the order and instead went to my local aquarian to get advice. In the end I opted for 50mm air stone balls, some decent tubing that won’t go brittle in winter and some inexpensive one-way valves on each airline as a precaution against a power failure, which can occasionally a pressure differential to syphon water up into the pump. I only use 4 of the 6 outlet points and the surface of my pond now has a healthy amount of movement. Within days the water was so much clearer, the fish became much more active and my pond plants thrived, particularly the lily pads and the water mint.
Despite it having rubber feet, the pump can resonate on the wrong surface. I placed mine on a small slab on top of a shallow mound of loose sand/earth mix, which seems to absorb everything and I can barely hear a thing. Really happy with this pump, my pond looks so much healthier and I would recommend it to anyone.
Just plug in connect up couldn’t as for anything easier. Fish are very happy .
Very powerful air pump . I use mine running a single 8 mm air line straight from the outlet of the pump into a moving media bed k1 powering a 9 inch round flat air plate . Really does move the media with ease
Used to get oxygen into a pond where Koi were present, and had been dying due to the hot, dry, clammy weathe
Used for oxygenating my 2400ltr octagonal log koi pond, lots of bubbles and a lot quiter than my other which I’m
still using but didn’t realise how noisy it was until I used this one, good product and would recommend.also used non return valves in all six lines.
Been using this for a few days now and it really is so quiet, especially compared to my Hailea air compressor. Bubbles come out amazing using 6 air stones. Definitely recommend
I’ve used a couple of air pumps for my 1500 litre koi pond, but this one surpasses everything else that I’ve had so far.
Simple to wire into my switch box, a good length of cable allows me to place the unit strategically out of sight. I use a single disc air stone, although I want to try four smaller round stones to provide air into different parts of my pond. As it stands, the unit is very quiet, in fact I can’t hear it even from just a few metres away.
The bubbles are intense from the single stone sitting about a metre below the surface. Plenty of fine bubbles rising through the water to pop as they drift across the surface. The water is not agitated too aggressively and doesn’t cause waves in the pond. The fish don’t seem to flinch as they move around although I think the stream of bubbles is probably too strong to swim though.
My intention is to use it from March through to October, then use a smaller 340l/h for the winter at a shallow depth just to keep the water fresh and stop it from freezing. So far, I’m very impressed, especially during this hot spell of May 2020.
Like other reviewers here, We got fed up of replacing the smaller jobbies every year (virtually cheaper to replace the whole units than but the replacement bellows kits), so upped the anti and are now trying this beast.
So powerful i had to get several more end pieces to even out air distribution. I’m convinced the fish are healthier, and subject to longevity (only been a couple of months so far) , recommend this as worth the extra.
This has been up and running for a couple of weeks now. It gives plenty of air for my large Koi pond. A big plus is how quiet it is compared to my last pump.
