I have a Xbox series x with a 1440/4k monitor at 240hz only from Dp ,with this adapter I run at 4k 120 hz , in gaming performance it’s better.. I’m happy for that only thing it’s bit expensive, I think it’s worth..
This cable actually works, a lil pricey but worth it. Hdmi port on my asus monitor broke and was only running 1080p 60hz on wz2 on my ps5. Bought this and works , runs 1080p 120hz perfectly on WZ 2.0 on the ps5.
I needed a cable to connect my new laptop (which only has HDMI) with an old monitor that doesn’t have HDMI. After getting a wrong Displayport to HDMI cable, I realised I needed the opposite (HDMI to Displayport). I was sceptical but I chose the version that matched my laptop’s 60 Hz refresh rate and it worked a charm! Saved me buying a new monitor!

Recently bought a Samsung 34″ curved Odyssey monitor for my ps5, and the HDMI input only supports HDMI 2.0 and not 2.1 so 4k streaming in 120Hz wasn’t able to run the video setting that I wanted. After many many many searches for a converter that can transfer HDMI 2.1 signals to DP 1.4 signals, I finally found this great product that fixed my problem! I am now a happy gamer again! 🙂
I have used this to connect my consoles to my monitors whilst my TV is broken. Works great.
I have a samsung 49inch crg9 ultrawide monitor and struggled to get a cable that would drive 120hz over hdmi due to the limitations of the hdmi format. Hence the cable. As you can the cable works great and gives me a 120hz on 4k.
This is an awesome product.
The product itself works like a charm. It’s a little bit overpriced, because there’s not really an alternative product for it on Amazon. I use it for my dual pc setup and except for 2 little black screens (about 1 sec long) I never had problems.
Important note: This product converts a HDMI signal to Display Port, NOT DP to HDMI. There are a lot of cheaper cables from DP to HDMI, but the don’t work the other way around!
Despite the warning in the description saying not to use it for a KVM, I decided to buy it and try it out. It works.
I have a TESmart HKS0403A1U KVM, and an older Acer Predator XB271HU monitor that doesn’t support HDMI 2.0, so I needed to be able to connect the HDMI 2.0 KVM to to the DP on the monitor in order to get 144hz at 1440p. This cable allowed me to do that successfully. I have DP->HDMI from my PC->KVM, then this cable doing HDMI->DP from the KVM->monitor and everything works perfectly.
Only complaint would be the price, but given how hard it is to find a high-spec HDMI->DP cable when most people need the opposite direction, I suppose it’s understandable.
I haven’t got 4k monitor at 120hz but at 1440p ultrawide 34inch screen 120hz all day i have it going through a switch and i get 120hz and they look great play great no dropouts all good lets face it thats all the info needed as as far as i know videos max out at 60hz
I have struggled to find a cable that works to output from HDMI on PC to the Display port on the monitor. After trying different /cheaper cables with no luck I finally bought this cable. It works fine and it saved me having to buy a more updated monitor with a HDMI.
All in great product. Just a little expensive at 20+
Used to connect a cctv system to a spare monitor display port. Even though the cctv box is on a 10m extension cable this works perfectly without the need for the additional usb power supply
This thing works perfectly, other than the chip getting a little hot during max use, and VRR capabilities being eliminated from your video source. I’m able to play 4k 120hz on my Xbox series X for hours at a time. Just wish I could still use the VRR capability my Xbox and monitor offer. Overall great product considering the lack of products that offer 2.1-1.4 capabilities, and also the price.
It works without any issues or problems – I bought a cheaper one from different supplier which only work for a few mins before switching off the monito
Used to connect Apple laptop with HDMI port to a monitor that only had display port. Everything worked fine and so far perfect picture no issues.
After moving the usb powering cable to a powered usb hub from a spare port on my laptop it seems to be working well. My new gaming monitor’s hdmi ports were only 2.0 not 2.1 so to get the higher video resolution I needed to convert laptops hdmi 2.1 to the DP option on my monitor. The video experience is much improved.
Took me a while to realise why I couldn’t get my DP to HDMI working and now know that you need a more expensive version to go from HDMI to DP, they aren’t bi-lateral (working both ways).
This does the trick if you want to output to DP from HDMI. Only downside for me was that the locking DP connector doesn’t work.
I bought this to use it with my 1440p/165Hz monitor. I ran the PS5 SDR/HDR tests with the cable into the monitor’s Displayport 1.4. The PS5 returned the result that the monitor works at 120Hz HDR with this cable. I don’t yet have any games that run on the PS5 at 1440p/120Hz. Games run smoothly at 1440p/60Hz for now. The colours and resolution of the PS5 displayed on the monitor do not look to be altered by the cable. There was no detectable lag time although I admit I don’t play “twitchy” shooters-GOW 2018 is about as twitchy as it gets.
The part that contains the conversion chip ran hot, about 42C measured with an infrared thermometer, on the first day. I put a small 4″ fan on it. It doesn’t run that hot today, about 30.5C, even when I am gaming. The cable works no differently run into the Displayport 1.4 of the monitor from the Sony supplied HDMI 2.1 compliant cable run into the HDMI 2.0 port of the monitor. I ran out of HDMI ports in my monitor so I required a HDMI to Displayport cable to use the Displayport 1.4 of the monitor.
If you need to use the Displayport 1.4 of the monitor this is the only cable that I can see at present that gives you 1440p/120Hz, 2160p/120Hz with the PS5 if your monitor is up to it. If you don’t need to use the Displayport 1.4, stick with the Sony supplied HDMI 2.1 compliant cable running into the HDMI 2.0 port if your monitor is 1440p/120Hz or 2160p/120Hz ready.
Solved my problem as soon as connected. If you have hdmi out on device (laptop) and DP in on screen, then thus bad boy cures your issue if connectivity! No drivers, no mess, just plug n play!
Using to go from HDMI out on PC, to DP in on monitor. Works well enough for basic work on pc.
Having recently bought a 3K Huawei MateView screen, I was disappointed that my monitor only supported HDMI 2.0. This cable helped me convert the HDMI source (PS5) to my monitor (DisplayPort). All worked as expectedly! Cable is made out of rugged material, and it is HARD finding a HDMI -> DP cable online, this product saved my ass, even though I was skeptical. Worth the money! Will keep this in my arsenal of cables for the future.
I’ve been struggling to find a cable with hdmi (from my laptop) to display port (to my monitor) so am happy with this cause it works well. Shame it’s more expensive that a display port to hdmi cable but so far so good it works well
I could only get 60 FPS from my monitors hdmi so got this to convert to the Display Port,
It’s not cheap for what it is but it works on my XB series S 1440p at 120fps so I’m happy, can’t really comment on durability as only just connected it up.
After checking why a standard cable with dp to hdmi would not work, found this cable. Brought it hoping it would work but was not convinced but once it arrived and fitted works well and I now have 2 sharp screens with identical images.
I bought a new hub to connect my monitors to me new laptop so I could continue working from home. Arrived the same day and I could use the cable straight away. Given that this cable was one of only a handful of HDMI to displayport cables I could find, it is incredibly good value for money compared to the others available.
Works as expected. No issue to speak off. Using it for my PS5 for a Samsung G5 monito
Cable works great, I use it on my xbox series x as I can’t get 4k from the hdmi on my monitor but as soon as I swapped to this cable I was able to get 4k @60hz no problem
The hdmi end of the cable did bend slightly when pulled however its still working fine
Just what I needed. My laptop only supports HDMI video output but my monitor only supported DisplayPort. This adapter solved this issue flawlessly and supports my monitor’s resolution of 1440p and audio transfer. There’s no noticeable latency from the format conversion and I’ve found no issues so far. Overall a great produc
I have used it to connect my work laptop to a large screen monitor, it is an excellent cable connecting laptop HDMI port to DP port on the monitor. Works seamlessly, no problem with text, pictures, MS Teams or zoom or MS Outlook or various work softwares. Highly recommended.
This is one of the better priced HDMI->DisplayPort adaptors on the market, and it works well for me at 1440p and 60Hz. The build quality seems good, and it doesn’t require external power as some of them do, which is a nice perk.
I bought this adapter as I needed to test some devices that had HDMI output, but the PC monitor I was using only had a DVI and DP input on it. Plugged the adapter into the monitor on the DP input and worked first time with really good quality picture. Actually was watching a video just one hitcup I forgot there was no speaker on the PC monitor so can’t vouch for the sound using the cable. I can’t see why this wouldn’t work so overall 4 stars from me.
