Bought for one job only. It is small and light for easy transport. Will only be used to cut small plot of grass approx. 2 metres long x 1metre wide. Ideal for purpose.
So light and easily manoevered around my two lawns. My lawns are of a good size and one charge is enough to get the job done. I love this mower, no cords, no extentions needed, just freedom to get on with the job. What I considered a daunting task is now a joy to do with this mower.
Brilliant! No more extension leads or the wires getting caught behind plants or having to constantly pull the wire out of the way. Just cut front, back and side lawns in 10 minutes (used to take me an hour). No sign of lawnmower losing power either as time went on. Assembly instructions are a bit rubbish so was a bit of a pain to put together. Highly recommended though
Bought this mower to replace corded one. Best thing I’ve ever done. Haven’t tried it yet on long grass yet, but I think it should cope well. To be able to just push it out, and cut the lawns, a quick wipe over and put it away again is great without having to mess about with cables. Battery supplied last for a couple of cuts of lawns. Recharges fairly quickly.
This is super light and easy to use. The battery allows me to cut my lawn in one charge. The only downside I have found is that I’d of liked a shorter cutting option to the 3 it has.
Would have liked to have lowered it a bit more as it does not go so low as my last Bosch lawn mower meaning I am having to cut my lawn more often as I have two dogs so loads of poo to pick up.
This lawn mower is good. Its battery life puts my vacuum cleaner to shame.
My vacuum cleaner dies faster than this Lawnmwoer. This product is what I think I liked the most among other Bosch products.
There’s always a caveat. Some do not appreciate the grass length even though there’s an adjustment option. In the end, though, this mower is quite literally a cut above the rest!
I have 2 lawns and a grass verge. The lawnmower arrived today. I charged the battery to full capacity while I assembled the lawnmower, had a chat with my cat and made a cup of tea. Took me 15 to 20 minutes max to put the lawnmower parts together. The battery needed 30 minutes longer to charge; it arrived partially charged.
My back lawn is about 10 ft by 15 ft. My front lawn is about 10 ft by 15 ft. The verge is about 2.5 ft by 20 ft. the grass had grown to about a foot tall in some parts. I mowed all 3 lawned areas twice on one battery charge. There was still charge left in the battery. The supplied 4 Ah battery takes 2 hours to fully charge according to the instruction manual.
This lawnmower is perfect for my needs.
The pros:
Easy to assemble
Battery life is good for small lawns
Lightweight
Blade height is easy to adjust
Robust easy to use on/off buttons
Not too noisy
The same battery can be used for other Bosch tools
The cons:
The grass collector basket feels a little flimsy
The lawnmower handles were designed by someone with a grudge against gardeners
The assembly instructions are not very clear
The handles could have been made telescopic and rotatable so to make them height adjustable and easily folded over the lawnmower body. We humans have had thousands of years to practice handle design. There are some great handle designs in existence. Why would someone make a lawnmower with a handle that can only be retracted by folding it in half and then only by undoing 2 screws? It makes no sense at all except for the designer carrying a deep seated grudge against gardeners. Maybe the designer has a neighbour who wakes him/her up early every Sunday morning.
The buttons at the top of the handle bars feel robust and are easy to use. They must have been designed by different engineers.
My overall opinion is that this lawnmower will last a good few years. It is suitable for small lawns with the supplied battery or larger lawns with a bigger capacity battery (a 6 Ah is available) or with multiple batteries.
I will update this review if the lawnmower breaks.
I’m really happy with this purchase. It’s simple to use and works great. As you can see from the pic I have a small lawn so a full charge on the battery is more than fine. Strongly recommend this mower.
Did a lot of research on cordless lawn mowers before settling on this model.
No regrets whatsoever. Very light to use and excellent battery life. No hesitation in recommending to family and friends.
So much easier to use than a corded mower. I don’t have to worry where the cable is. Immobilizer means it can’t be started in error. Well worth the extra expense.
Worked well out of the box and mowed for 30 minutes on a single charge, with 4 AH battery still not exhausted. Bought on promotion though with a fress extra battery that I’m waiting to receive. The mower is lightweight, manoeuvrability is ok (though wheels do not steer). Worst feature is that handles to not collapse flat to ease storage – a poor point in a so-called ‘City Mower’ where users may lack storage space.
Perfect product for a non gardener who wants a tidy garden without too much effort. This was easy to put together for someone who can’t be bothered to read instructions. Lightweight to put in and out the shed. Very happy
I cut through about half the lawn before the mower ran out. The grass hasn’t been cut for a while though so it was a big deal. I charged the battery and went again. My garden isn’t the biggest but maybe buy a second battery rather than waiting for the 1 battery to charge. Takes about 2 – 3 hours to fully charge.
Overall I am happy with it.
Light and not too noisy. Nibble and small/large enough for my garden. The red safety ‘key’ instructions and fit are nonsensical. 4amp battery expensive to replace and a 2.5 gives enough coverage for me. It’s a cross platform battery.
Assembly not the best, but worked on damp grass with no issues, my previous electric would have stopped. Lawn about 6m x 20m, all on a single charge. No indicator of full collector, but still cut/collected
As an older person with bad knees I needed a lawn mower light, efficient and easily moved. This is it good grass collection box with a battery life that gives me an hours cutting. Whilst not the most sturdy body it is ample for light domestic use.
Very disappointed as lawn mower did not come with any Manuel or directions. My father had to have a neighbor put it together and now does not know how to switch it on or how it works.
Please send a Manuel
An Excellent Bosch Cordless Lawnmower. My dad (RIP) loved BOSCH products, so I bought this cordless mower. What can I say? Dad was always right. A must-have if you have three average size gardens. The battery lasts a good time if you work efficiently. I always had a manual mower. So, it is very nice to have this one. Thank you.
My previous cordless lawnmower broke this was a G tech I had it some years when I look to get another one they had change the design and mainly the battery was completely different so I have two batteries that I can’t use and the new G tech is going for 500.
I came across the bosh city and I got some bosh tools so I thought the battery is there get the bosh. Only to find out that it use a different type of Bosh battery. So I really don’t like sending things back so I am getting the needed beattery. Looking at battery tool I noticed the Ryobi use one battery for all there tools. So from now on any Cordless tools I am getting as got to Ryobi. Should have looked hard before settling for the bosh. So I bashing the bosh. Don’t get me wrong bosh is a good make. But Ryobi one battery for over hundred tools I have already put some in my basket.Four days after getting my bosh lawnmower and then having to order the battery I was able to use it this morning. I have a small garden and after the dry spell I have planted some grass seeds where there where patches so it’s been three weeks and good grass growth since l last mowed the lawn. The Bosh wized through it like hot knife through butter it was so quick I could tell you how long it took maybe five minutes. So I have uped the star rating to 4 from 2 .
It’s also a very good looking bit of kit, with out the grass box it a very small.Overall it’s very
lightweight machine. I can’t give it a five because the handle does not fold away and the lightness of the mower maybe a problem if you have rough ground and uneven ground to deal with. Very nice overall.
Cut the back grass right out the box to try it out and hadn’t even charged the battery. I’m used to a Flymo so comparing to that – fairly quiet (can talk over it), 99% less cleaning up of sprayed grass cuttings, no dancing around cables, light weight and easy to maneuver about, gets right to the edges of our wooden planter so no need to strim along it and strip the paint. I see alot of people saying it doesn’t go short enough? I didn’t realise just how long my grass was until I went to 30mm, plenty short for an average garden I’d say. I’m looking forward to using it again on the front.
Mower was very easy to assemble, and once battery was full I did the first mow. 40 minutes of use and battery seems to have juice left. It’s my first cordless mower and for the ease of use and lack or a pesky cord, I love it. Only concern is that on the whole it does not seem built to last. Nothing ever is these days, but the flimsy plastic used for the grass box does not fill my with confidence it won’t break within a year. Despite being relatively light, picking it up with the built in handle feels a bit like the handle could break. We shall see, I’m going to register it for the free 3 year guarantee, hopefully won’t need to use it – I’ll update the review if I do.
Relatively easy to put together, very lightweight & fully-charged 90mins. It is a bit flimsy, and you can’t fold the handles down so you’d need somewhere large to store it hence the one star deduction.
