My friend has one of these and I tried it and loved it. My lovely upright cleaner is getting heavy to take up and down the stairs so I wanted something lighter but with good suction. This is brilliant, highly recommend.
So far, so good. Great suction. Love the LEDs and how easy it is to get under furniture. Looks great. Can’t comment on the durability as I’ve not had it for that long.
Got Bosch Unlimited 7 cordless vacuum as I needed a smaller vacuum cleaner to get quickly around the house. It’s relatively lightweight and easy to assemble and use. It has quite useful change parts for the tube so it’s fun using it. The LED on the brush is very useful to discover hidden dirt or dust. The only minus is that the battery runs out quite quickly – roughly around 35min.
I’ve replaced a 6 year old dyson with this. Suction is great, lights are useful to show the rubbish lying around. Moving around is easy and a good set of accessories came with it. Feature I like the best is that the long vacuum head can be removed to get a small one for clearing up the table etc. I have the 2 battery one, but not used the second battery so far. I don’t have any other Bosch cordless products but can see the usefulness of a shareable battery.
The one aspect I like the least is that emptying it is somewhat cumbersome and storage is small. Hopefully they can improve on this for their next versions.
The product is easy to use but trying to get the spare battery which was promised when I purchased the vac is a joke. They wanted to know the ENR number and proof of purchase from Amazon. I thought I had provided this but no, they wanted me to keep providing information over and over again. I came to the conclusion that they did not want to send me the battery full stop!
I normally use a Miele cyclinder vacuum, one of the best on the market. But as I get older, I find that a cordless, smaller machine would be preferable. After spending quite some time checking out various models, I decided to get this Bosch Unlimited 7 BCS711GB, largely because I have few Bosch items and I have faith in the brand. I am very pleased with it, as it has better suction that i thought, and the battery lasts long enough for my useage. The extras like the folding tube which is handy for cleaning under beds or sofas may well be very useful as well. It is simple to use and to empty, and reasonable to recharge. As it stands, I have to charge the battery whilst it is on the cleaner, but I believe there is a separate charging dock. I don’t really have the need for that. Good device, that i expect will last a good length of time.
Edit: After reading other Amazon reviews, I was puzzled that other purchasers were not reporting similar problems. Consequently, I contacted Bosch, who quickly sent an engineer to repair the machine. In fact, no repair was necessary, as he simply showed me how a flap had been jammed open, causing the dust to blow back out. Now that I understand this, I am confident that I can prevent an recurrence of the issue. Highly efficient customer service.
Original review:
Although I love the lightness and manoeuvrability of this vacuum cleaner, it has a major fault. If I slightly lift the main brush head, or, when I turn it off, it sprays out all the crumbs and dust that it has just lifted. This is a real issue and would definitely prevent me from recommending the machine. I get round it by turning it off in one place (it’s not even possible to lift it outside to turn it off, because as soon as the brush head loses contact with the floor, the debris is sprayed out) and then using a brush and dustpan to clear the mess. This is very disappointing.
I have already had a good corded-vacuum cleaner. I added a cordless one for its convenience on simple cleaning work. So far, I’m happy with the Bosch Unlimited 7, its price, its functional & aesthetic designs, such as bendable tube, motorized brush with LED. This model comes with 2 batteries, which well satisfied my need on run-time.
One of the main problems of a cordless vacuum cleaner vs a corded one is that the size of the dust container is little & emptying the dust is troublesome.
I’ve been using a very popular brand on cordless vacuum, which decided to give up on me and so I thought I’d give the above item a go, having the same brand ovens etc. and this one I can highly recommend!
It is amazing, I give it 10/10! An excellent product!!
What a great vacuum. So easy to use. Battery life could be better, but if you buy the version with two batteries you are covered.
VERY PLEASED WITH IT MADE THE CARPET LOOK AND FEEL LIKE NEW
So far soo good, good suction and looks great on the wall. Time will show how long will last.
Just what I need to clean my home as I have a big dog leaving hair and dust around.
Great vacuum – and superior to other cordless vacuums – but sometimes difficult to remove and replace attachments
It’s my first cordless vacuum cleaner.I wanted a cordless one for both home and car. It’s doing a fantastic job for cleaning the house. It looks elegant and classy. Suction power is great and additional battery gives enough juice to complete the cleaning at a stretch. But using this vacuum in the car is bit tricky, because it is heavy.
This vacuum cleaner is super efficient but due to it’s extremely good powerful suction I guess if you are a bit on the frail side a less powerful model might possibly suit you better but having said that it’s very lightweight to carry around and take up and down stairs.
By the way I am a 73 year old woman with osteo arthritis and I manage to use this vacuum cleaner without any problems and It certainly cleans my house a lot better than any other cordless vacuum I have used.
The spare battery that comes with this model is really handy and although the dust container is quite small it is very easy to clean out especially the filter.
I would definitely recommend!
Great hoover. I would recommend that you buy it with the two batteries, they are quick to charge and are the standard bosh batteries which you can use with other tools. I typically manage to do downstairs with one battery before I have to swap over to the other battery. By the time I have finished upstairs the first battery is charged. The hoover is excellent and having a cordless hoover is a game changer 🙂
Compared to others tried recently and a G-Tec unit I’ve had for several years, the Bosch Unlimited 7 is brilliant. Eco mode is good enough for most quick cleans. High power mode really great suction. Getting the 2 batteries is a good idea if you have a larger house as you don’t have to wait for a recharge. A little on the heavy side, buy then you get used to it and its a better workout . Not yet fitted the wall mount so can’t say how well that will work, but the wall mount is smaller than others I have seen or had in the past, so should make this easy to fit in most homes and not take up too much space. Supplied tools are great, its a doddle to empty and to clean. All in all a great unit that comes in way less in price than an equivalent Dyson or latest Shark. Has the power when needed and one full battery will easily do a decent sized 4 bedroom home with battery to spare.
versatile very useful tools, rather fiddly to empty, would be better with a reusable filter. Decent power suction on full power but this lasts only about 15 mins. Needs a spare battery to be able to clean all the house. On balance a good buy I’m pleased with my purchase.
So far so good. It’s heavier than my old Dyson animal stick hence one star off but it looks the business and works really well on my hard floors. The headlights show every crumb so that’s great! Battery life seems great and having two little batteries means a whole house can be cleaned easily. Emptying it is easy and like all these vacuums has to be done very regularly. My long hair was tangled in the brush but I cut it out same as I did with my big Dyson and stick Dyson. I don’t really believe that any anti hair wrap works perfectly anyway but I guess I could be wrong! My big problem is that in my carpeted bedrooms it’s difficult to push around. It might be the type of carpet bcos so was the Dyson. If I lift and pull it does a great job but that makes it hard work for me bcos if the weight. Would I choose it again now I’ve had it for a couple of weeks? Yes I would so I think that’s a good recommendation!
very good product, good value, very good performance, as all the past Bosch products I have had in past,
Ace
Its handy, suction power is just fine. Front light turn ON auto is unnecessary, if it is possible to turn ON and OFF the front light manually in order to save battery usage will be a great help and a little heavy for one hand to use it if the weight can be a little lighter:)
