It’s very impressive for the price.
I bought it to store my house deeds but I found the space available for documents was a bit tight as I is designed for A4 size pages so if you need more space than 50 pages get a bigger one.
Overall I was satisfied with this fireproof safe!
This document safe is really sturdy and has ample space inside, my only point is that the lock is a bit fiddly but once you get the hang of it your good to go.
I suspect its water resistance is probably better than I expected but I have not tested this. Overall a first rate item, very quickly delivered. I would definitely order again.
I purchased this safe to keep all my personal documents, jewellery and money in incase of a fire. The safe box is very heavy and sturdy and I found the lock a little difficult, I think its something I will get used to doing. Very happy with this purchase and I think good value for the price.
Really good, but a bit smaller on the inside than I thought it would be.
This appears to be a heavy solid piece of kit. I hope I never have to find out if it is suitable for the job of fire protection but I am optimistic.
Good to know our things are is in safe hands. And to add extra layer of protection for any cards or car keys you can also Due Faraday cages for keys etc.
I had wanted to latch it shut however this is impossible as the key cannot be removed unless it is locked. This is probably a guard against losing the key whilst open. A bit of a pain for me + a bit pointless given next paragraph.
I would echo the thoughts of others that the locking mechanism is vulnerable to dismantling with a screwdriver though I think these could probably be swapped with security screws. This was not an issue for me as I was after the fire/waterproof qualities. I am not going to test it but it looks and feels man enough for the job.
The deeds are foolscap and folded long ways and are too long for the box, however on closer examination I saw they had also some time previously been folded crossways so I folded them back as they once were and they fit in leaving room for other important items. The box is small enough to hide in a safe location.
The box arrived in perfect condition, so no problems with the hinges either.
Can’t buy additional keys.
Okay, you get two keys, but if you lose them, you’re stuffed.
The box is great, very heavy and well made so far and they were a great help when I had a ground anchor question.
An instruction lefelt would be helpful on ground mounting as there is no obvious indication other that an indent and cross on the inside. an A5 sheet is all that is needed.
Also, trying to find the box on their own site was a bit of a faff, type in the item code and nothing.
Yes there was some corrosion on the hinge but I easily cleaned this and used a permanent marker to blacken it. I would say is likely due to some reaction with the moisture with the concrete when constructed but a non issue.
A4 papers do not fit perfectly at the bottom but by the time I put a few other items in it’s not an issue. Overall very happy with this product given the cost of 50.
Although the product was supposed to be new, it arrived it what was a used condition. It had several marks on the outside and dirt on both the outside and inside.
Otherwise, the case is what I need. Shame about the condition.
Disappointed that the stated internal dimensions are misleading. The sides are NOT vertical. This means that although it will take A4 close to the top; it won’t at the bottom.
WHY CAN’T IT HAVE VERTICAL SIDES!!

As for the fire retardant qualities, this is the only item I could find at this price point with any certification worth mentioning. It won’t do miracles, but it might give your documents a fighting chance if the worst happens.
Yes, there’s an issue with rust on the hinges, although it’s cosmetic only.
