Meanwhile, installation was easy. Pairs easily with my S10. Music sounded fine at moderate volume. I don’t intend to crank it up. I only need music to be in the background. Update: audio quality is good at all volumes.
Also don’t intend to talk on calls while riding. However, I tested it while walking around outside with my helmet on. My friend said I sounded clear and I could hear them clearly as well.
I like the simplicity of the unit with the 4 buttons that are accessible even with gauntlets on.
Entire rig added about 8.5 oz to my helmet.
Haven’t tested battery life fully, but it was fine on an hour ride.
Overall, for the price and my intended use, it fits my needs. I ride mostly alone. The few times I ride with my friend, I’m counting on it to work fine pairing to what ever comm they’re using. UPDATE: pairs easily with my friend’s other brand unit. Sounds good, easy to communicate during rides with him.
Update: I bought 3 and probably buying a 4th, 2 for my HJC helmets, 1 for my son’s AGV, 1 for my AGV.
Note: installed the speakers without the mounting pads. The pads added too much thickness and speakers pressed hard on my ears in my HJC C91. The cheek pads hold them in just fine without velcro. Plus I like the ability for them to move around freely if I want to adjust position without unvelcroing all the time.

Bluetooth works great with the phone. Can only pair with 1 other Cardo rider though.
Good sound, easy to install, great functionality. For the price this is definitely the best, I would not spend more than this for any of there other products, the group com can easily be fixed with a group call on your cellular device.
Alles in allem, ist es fr mich, auch fr den Preis ein tolles Headset mit dem ich total zufrieden bin.
With how much I ride the battery life is great. Installation was a walk in the park and mic works pretty great.
Sounds awesome. Call quality is amazing 75mph no wind noise for the caller they didn’t even know I was on the bike. I can’t recommend enough. Just buy one already.

Pretty good sound for the price, the bass good be a little better but with the size of the speakers I wouldn’t expect much more. Even with my poor hearing there is still more than enough volume to hear the music on the interstate. Phone clarity is good.

I have more expensive Cardo gear and wanted to try this in my wife’s second helmet. I was surprised as the entry level Cardo is now on parallel with older units from just a while back. Excellent value for money. Easy to install, comes with everything you need regardless of what type of helmet you have. Very well designed product!
This will mainly be communications with my wife who is sitting behind me. Being able to connect to my phone allows me to listen to music, take phone calls and get directions. All that and simple to use.
I had installed a freedconn product before and thought is was really good but decided to purchase the Cardo Spirit HD w/JBL 45mm speakers inserts and could not believe the difference. I have been waiting to hear what what these JBLs have to offer. It like having a concert in my head. So glad I made this purchase, such a great upgrade from the normal speaker comms unit.
It’s good. However, it would be nice if somehow there were a battery status.
It’s suppose to tell you everytime you power it down. Well it says always, either It’s full or 50%. Even when almost empty.

Il consiglio di spendere qualcosina di pi per prendere un prodotto come questo e non i prodotti economici.
Purtroppo l’ho acquistato usato – ottime condizioni da amazon per risparmiare 16, ma vi dico che non conviene in quanto all’interno non erano previsti gli inserti in stoffa per far aderire bene le casse.
J tive autocom, com fios, e no eram to bons como estes. Numa Transalp 650 at pelo menos os 120km/h ouve-se bem o pendura bem como o som e as chamadas. No testei a velocidades superiores. Quando recebi no consegui com que. Acaso connect app se ligasse aos aparelhos, apenas conseguia emparelhar com o telemvel. O problema foi resolvido aps atualizar o firmware dos aparelhos, via PC, atravs de cabo. Sem dvida muito bons !
El dispositivo me encanta tiene buen sonido, buena imagen y muy fcil de manejar pero lo nico que no me gust es que no puedo compartir msica con la unidad Freecom 1+, ahora tengo que vender mi freecom 1+ y compararme otro cardo spirit.
Por esa razn le doy 4 estrellas.

Provati nel weekend del 22 e 23 aprile 2023. Avevo letto varie recensioni e qualcuna indicava dei limiti audio oltre i 130 km/h o disconnessioni tra pilota e passeggero. Dal mio canto su caschi Nolan e moto Tracer 9 GT: fino a 150 km/h tutto perfetto, oltre e fino a 170 km/h ottimo ma parlando un p pi forte.
Audio ottimo, connessione interfono mai persa, durata batteria spettacolare. Consiglio anche di ridurre il volume in quanto troppo alto durante le chiamate e pu creare problema sulla sicurezza. L’unico “difetto” (ma non lo ) che quando si inizia a parlare si pu non udire le prime 2 o 3 lettere di una parola ma questo non avviene in un discorso continuo o con brevi interruzioni. Il dispositivio infatti va in stand-by e si riattiva con la voce semplicemente parlando … cosa che trovo ottima evitando fruscii o rumori non desiderati.

Sound is somewhat lacking but adecuate. Pairing is not well explained in manual. After trying I got it to work as expected. Good one to one communication (I don’t talk to anyone but my rider)
The sound is ok , not that I am the one who is really can measure sound quality, but not worse than in my normal headphones. The implementation took some time because my helmet isn’t not a Tim one so I had to stick to the side. After 2 weeks – everything is ok.
This is a great inexpensive unit for a closed helmet. It took about 30-minutes to get it all mounted and wires routed. I love it. I use it mainly for listening to music as I’m riding, and it makes it all even more fun. Battery life is amazing! I don’t have to charge it very often, and the charging time is fairly quick. I usually ride about 2-hrs and that will use up 25-30%. The buttons and the operation sequences can be a little tricky, but not complicated. By the time I had used it a few times, muscle memory took over and I can operate the proper button combinations just fine.
Sound quality is pretty decent. Nice bass sound, but not too much. So, if you’re more into a thumping bass, you will be disappointed. I can also adjust the equalizer settings on my iPhone if need be. Set-up was quick and easy. No problems with it synching to my phone and it connects easily every time I turn it on.
The only thing I would point out is that the ear pads really made my helmet fit tighter, (full face), even with the pads nesting nicely in the ear pad wells. It’s a small annoyance and I can still wear the helmet, but I probably wouldn’t for an all-day ride. When I upgrade my helmet, I will probably size up. Over all, this Cardo unit is an incredible buy for this price range.
I like this thing. People complain about the speakers but they sounds fine to me. Phone calls are great and other people can hear me perfect. Installation was simple and the device is easy to operate and use on the go! Battery is pretty good, and if you need to charge it you can just plug it into a USB port.

For the money the Cardo Spirit is great. I rated it low on noise cancellation as it really doesn’t have any. Given the cost I’m OK with this.
Installation wasn’t bad. I did spend some time on Arai’s Website and YouTube channel gaining a better understanding of how to disassemble Arai Helmets (time very well spent.)
It’s worth mentioning that the Signet-X cheek pads do have a space for speakers. There’s are round cutouts for speakers that have a very thin bit of foam attached at on spot. Put the speakers in the cutouts and put the thin foam over them to help hold them in place. It doesn’t seem to impact the sound quality at all.
I have made calls with it and have gotten comments that I sound good. My wife even said she never would have guessed I was on a bike.
I had a UClear unit on my Old Signet-Q. This unit was comparable in installation difficulty and cost less than my old unit. It sounded as good and was physically smaller.
The tactile controls on the Spirit are one of the best features. You can feel them easily through riding gloves. It also charges faster and has a longer run time.
I use this daily, it’s fantastic. Hooks up to my phone easily. Plays my music, music apps seamlessly whether it’s JJJ or Spotify. Phone is excellent. Radio is next to useless. It won’t hook up to other units of other brands for talk function but I didn’t buy it for that. Buttons could be more tactile to feel with gloves on but I can live with i
Use it on my hjc rpha 11 and it looks sleek. Sounds good, 30% volume is loud enough for daily riding. Bit fiddly to install but it’s to be inspected. Would recommend
Se me olvidaba, uso el mismo dispositivo en los dos cascos, de esta manera tengo el otro dispositivo a buen recaudo por si el que uso sufriese algn percance o impacto, no sera la primera vez que se me cae el casco desde el asiento al suelo y encima gracias al tal Murphy siempre por el lado del intercomunicador.
Decir tambin que tengo una MotoMorini X-Cape 649 y la integracin con el control multimedia de la moto es genial, funciona de 10.
An me queda probar la funcin de intercomunicador universal con otros aparatos de otras marcas, no creo que sea un problema.
En definitiva un producto bien hecho, bien rematado y muy funcional, cumple con todo lo que le pedira a un buen intercomunicado
I’d been really apprehensive with hitting the Sena or Cardo lines, as I honestly found it really unclear what the differences were between the different units as there was no real line of “progression” from one to the next.
Having settled on the Spirit as being what seemed to be ideal – lower entry price but promised a lot *and* most importantly allowed for intercommunication with non-Cardo units I can’t say I’ve been anything but impressed, pleased and generally content.
The biggest advantage was freedom to pick different options to listen with as it has a 3.5mm jack – I kept finding that speakers in my helmets just aren’t loud enough, so opted for headphones instead which was already a game-changer.
Connecting the App up was easy enough, as well as updating the firmware and configuration of different settings – I found the automatic adjustments for noise and microphone were however really out of whack, so conversations on the phone or with a pillion (two different ones just to be sure!) were painful as it kept cutting out leaving me misunderstood half the time – thankfully you can disable this and it’s been fine since.
Range on the unit seems great as well, I’ve been out of sight of others and been able to be heard *and* hear just fine, so that’s great.
Fitment to the helmet was the same as I’m sure it is for most – that is, problem-free, however I’ll need to hunt down another mount as I’m not too far off changing helmets, so time will tell how easy it is to get hold of what I need to do so.
The only gripe I’ve had is when pairing to non-cardo units, sharing music is just not possible. While you *can* play it, I found that every other unit from Sena, Interphone and others it cuts off and comes back every other second, becoming a “music slideshow” which is just not practical.
Very easy to fit although like previously had to make the recesses in the helmet slightly larger (vaporised the foam with a soldering iron carefully) and not the speakers are directly over my ears.
I normally wear hearing aids but not riding but I have no problems hearing either music or calls.
At motorway speeds still can hear it but around twin turn it right down so should be fine for ‘normal’ hearing.
Voice control works with calls not tried it otherwise and linked through my bike I can use the bike bar controls for volume, skip etc.
No tried intercom as ride on my own but have no doubt it’ll be just as good.
Well worth the money and after 50 years riding a bit of a revelation.
Bought to use with another communication device motorcycle to motorcycle. Works brilliantly and as a unit really good quality and ease of use.
