This is both visually pleasing and easy to use. I do however wish the hood extended so extract more steam. It does work well without the extended hood but feel it would work better if extended.
Looks great, loads of headroom compared to your ‘normal’ hood, I am 6’5″ so always hitting head on those. It is no noisier than your typical hood, I guess you have to pay huge amounts for a silent one! Having stayed in various houses etc around the globe, this is comparatively quiet, on full power it is quite loud, but similar to others I’ve used.
I purchased this extractor fan mostly because of it design and the fact that it was black. The motor is noisy, on the fastest setting you can’t have a conversation in the kitchen without shouting, but the absorption of the steam is very good, better than I was hoping for.
This is no louder than any extraction. In fact it’s quieter than my old one, looks very modern as was seriously easy to fit.
Ignore the template provided
Hook the bracket on the back of the extraction, have someone hold it in place and use a pencil to mark the bracket holes and it can’t be wrong.
It’s actually quieter than on this video. The video is showing this on its most powerful setting.
Would recommend this produc
I’ve just installed it and it was very straightforward. It’s not the lightest of extractor, heavier than the one I removed so I’d recommend a second person to help position it on the hanging bracket. It looks absolutely stunning fitted and a bit different to the usual chimney type.
Bought this item in Dec 2020, it recently developed a fault so I contacted customer service and within a week or so a replacement cooker Hood had just arrived via courier. You could not get better and simpler customer service than this. Highly recommended
Very happy with the hood . Very good price and super easy to install as it works with a 3 pin plug .
Suction on the hood is good and it has 3 speed levels. The front flap holds open and stays in the position you open it to ,unlike some that simply fall shut again. The two built in lights are also great and work independent of the extractor being turned on.. it also looks very smart and unlike some it is not a large oversized item above the hob
Easy to mount. Great suction. You do need a 6inch hole not a 4inch, although it will work if you step it down to 4 inch. My first unit stopped working after a week of use. Contacted the supplier, sent photos/video of issue. A replacement was sent and received within a week.
I have had to duct this through the loft area (bungalow) and yet it still seems to be taking the steam away, and odours. The metal edges are quite sharp due to thin metal, so care needed. But overall, good value and works well.
Very noisy on all 3 settings. The swing open front panel should be spring loaded so that it stays open enough to span the whole hob. As it is, it just hangs in such a way that it only really covers the back rings of the hob. The suction isn’t that great, it’s only just strong enough to hold a sheet of kitchen towel.
I purchased this hood as I read reviews first and I had a electrician fit it and once fitted he pointed out that there’s a dent on the front but now it’s fitted I can’t be bothered taking it down and then paying to have another one installed. So if you buy one please check it first.
The cooker hood that came with the house was large and had pointy edges, perfect for smacking your head on when leaning over to check out the cooking on the hob. So we researched and this one looked pretty good. Ordered it and the delivery was super fast. Our installer said it was really easy to put up and now we have an excellent hood that does a really good job, isn’t that loud and looks so much nicer than what was there before. Plus I no longer bang my head on it….
Looks great. Easy to install – I did it myself in half an hour. The lights are great. Bit noisy on full blast (there are three suction settings) but I only use it when cooking with oil which is seldom. Would buy again.
I only have a small kitchen and wanted something not too obtrusive and this fits the bill.
As there were already tiles in place the hood had to be fitted a little higher than recommended, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem, except that because of my height I have to use a step stool to remove the filter grid for cleaning.
My son fitted this for me and it was reasonably straightforward for him as being a replacement for another hood the electrics were already in place. Some of the measurement for fitting the chimney were incorrect, but solvable.
As my kitchen ceiling has coving, some had to be removed. It was difficult to fit the top two screws, because of this and when the coving is replaced the top access will be hidden, which could be important if the chimney part needs to be removed in the future.
Overall I am really pleased with this hood, because it looks good and functions really well. No problem whatsoever with the extraction.
Extractor looks great and has stopped me from hitting my head on the old canopy type it replaced but am a little disappointed in the power of the suction to extract steam from stuff cooking on the hob
Update…ciarra have said they will send a replacement. Hopefully will be fault free. Kudos for response.
Not impressed. Installed by electrician 23 december…not used a lot and today made horrible screeching noise and fan has problems. Sounds like you are trying to start a car with flat battery, then completely dead.. Now we have to pay for an electrician to disconnect, fund a mire reluable one and pay for that to be connected. Not a happy bunny. I would actually give zero stars if possible.
Installing is pretty easy, there’s a video that is quite clear.
It could just be a bit more powerful, when you have a lot of steam it struggles to clear it before it goes up and past the extractor.
This was less than half the price of the branded angled hoods available on other sites. It looks good and I found it fairly easy to install onto a tiled wall. The chimney was a bit fiddly to connect together.
Downside is you have to buy filters to go with it, it’s noisier than my last unit and the buttons have a bit of a cheap feel to them, but at this price they are small points to gripe abou
Installed in the kitchen to replace a broken one. The design means that the taller members of the family no longer bang their heads on the hood. Seems to do it’s job well. It looks really good.
It is rather noisy and the controls are quite high up when the unit is on the wall.
Reasonably easy to install it.
Came well packaged and on time. It was put in by an electrician, not the sort of job to do if you are not competent at electrics. No problems with installation and working straight away. The front cover that you lift up could do with a catch or hinge to hold it in place. It seems a little floppy when you open it and it would benefit from some sort of support. I find it a little noisy but it does a good job of clearing my kitchen of steam from cooking. There are five buttons one is the off switch, three for fan speed and one for the two led light bulbs. Overall I am very happy with my extractor fan.
Looks really good and smart.i was really pleased with the product but only gave 4 stars as I didn’t know the carbon filters were not included in the price and had to order them separately so haven’t been able to use it yet, plus I had to pay 3.99 postage for them as wasn’t able to use my free prim.
