Ended up giving it to my dad as the wire wasn’t long enough to go where I wanted it to go and I didn’t fancy having long cables running all the way through my house. Other than that it’s a great little camera. Ended up getting a ring bell in the end
Easy to set up. Good picture quality. Looks and feels sturdy. However the item description said the power cable is 3M but the one I received is only 1.8M. I had already bought a separate 3M extension cable to have a total of 6M to be able to hook it up. Now I need to purchase another cable to reach inside the house because of this. Other than that, every feature works as intended. Motion detection is very sensitive but this can be dialled down in the app settings.
The camera is everything it says it is. In all aspects, night vision, daytime, sound capture, motion detection, notification, illumination to show the camera is activated, and general functionality, it’s an absolute bargain for the price. The resolution on both day and night mode, is spot on, and it’s easy to set up.
This camera is well made and performs well. It has a good field of view and a very good picture quality. It also has a good range of facilities, all easily controlled from the app.
I bought this camera as a security feature for the front of my house and my front garden, I can also clearly see the road beyond.
The Customer Service team are excellent and are keen to help with any set-up issues one may have. I was having a problem setting up a wi-fi connection, they even did this for me remotely! I cannot praise them enough for all their help.
All connected brilliantly. Just could not get it to work on my Alexa show.
Motion detection works amazing pictures and notifications. Recommended to all but might not be everyone cup of tea. Included are 2 photo’s one in day time and night time and very short video. We decided to use the cloud than an SD card
For the price this camara is brillant! Easy to use and great images /video footage. Cloud or sd storage and easily controlled by a app on your phone /laptop . The only down fall is, if your using it on wifi it needs to be quite close to the router point to get a good signal
Bought this camera last week and set up this evening. The set up process was easy and connected first off to Ethernet, then followed up with WiFi connection. Quality both in colour and night vision seems excellent so far. Have yet to install it outside, which will do tomorrow. Works well on WiFi and 4G with no buffering and displays effortlessly on my Echo Show
I already have a very good wired cctv system in my house.. but during the night all number plate just show up as a white stripe.. this camera has the ability to switch the night mode off as as there enough street lighting.. this camera can pick up number plates at night up to a distance on 6 to10 meter good enough for me and the price
This camera is very good in the daylight but absolutely useless after dark. I purchased this camera in February this year and have been very happy with the daytime working but even with the infrared light switched on it is no good in the dark.
Since writing this review the seller has been excellent and replaced the camera, I am very happy with the night vision now. very good.

Night vision is good, picture quality is ok. Motion detection works and sends a notification to your phone. Camera uses sd card to store video with the option of paying for cloud storage through the app. Works with Alexa if you enable the MIPC skill. I must say I had great customer support from Cooau who helped me resolve an issue I had
I must admit I am only into 1 month of viewing and recording, up to now excellent.
The notifications are very good. like any software, you have to navigate it, and not be afraid to explore it it is fairly easy. I will in due course, be buying more. as it is easy to put new cameras onto the software.
they only work on 2.4Hz and not 5HZ. The three camera’s costed half of what I paid, a few years ago for one outside camera which I don’t think holds a candle to these camera’s. I don’t use the night light (though excellent) which when used, turns everything black and white. As the street lighting and my security lighting are good enough to film in colour.
With the software it is easy to enlarge a small area of of the picture or video. Remember I have said at the moment, don’t know if ever they are going to have cloud coverage? each camera would cost at least twenty odd pounds EACH for a year if they ever do. To which I hope happens
Great price, easy to access images from any device, movement sensor is very good, needed to adjust it slightly so it didn’t take footage whenever the plants blew in a breeze!
Night vision is very good too

The free 32GB SD card eventually arrived. It’s conditional on you registering the camera, leaving them a 5-star rating and sending them a screen shot of your review. It took about 7 weeks and a “reminder” e-mail, but it got here in the end!
Great camera for the money! Despite it saying it won’t work on 5ghz wifi signal it did. Really easy to setup too.
Image quality is very good for a budget cam, just need to find where the sd card slot is as it doesn’t say in the manual but I suspect it goes behind the speaker grille.
After formatting and installing an sd card the camera cannot detect it! Email sent to support but no response, this lowers the star rating in my opinio
We had a slight problem with one of the newer cameras, but Mary at Cooau was both very helpful and responsive and the problem was resolved very quickly. Cooau also responded quickly when I asked about suitable extension cables for one of the cameras.
We know have direct views around our house with the added benefits that we can view, via the app, even when away from home, and also ask Alexa to show us the cameras on our Fire tablet. I have already recommended the system to several neighbours who were impressed with the clarity of the images produced from the cameras.
Once you get this camera set up properly it is a great addition to your home security. We are primarily using it to see who is at the door when they ring the bell and converse with them as due to disability it takes us quite a while to get to the door. It also allows us a good view of the front of the property.
You need to read the instructions with the camera very carefully perhaps more than once unless you are very technically minded however we did manage to get everything sorted. The camera wiring has quite large non removable connectors for which you have to drill a 20mm hole through the exterior wall which in our case took some doing. We have placed the connections in a box on the wall so that they don’t hang down the wall.
We have linked the camera up to our Amazon show which is a bonus. In conclusion we are happy with this purchase which makes life easier for us.
I have this mounted outside to keep an eye on the car. The picture quality is great in day and at night.
It has a good microphone and speaker and can emit an audio alarm. It has so many options it can do a lot more than I needed.
You could probably install it inside facing out a window. The indicator light is connected to the ethernet wire and can be turned off. Only issue you might have is if facing the window directly the ir sensors could reflect, but I suspect it would be mounted at an angle.
All I had to buy was a small junction box to house the connections, 128gb micro sd, and a long drill bit to run the power cable outside. I even bought the power cable extension but don’t think I’ll need it although it is good it is the same colour as the camera and not black like the power cable.
The sd card can record from 16 to 64 days depending on quality selected which is insane. It can be formatted through the app. Best of all playback is easy and a simple button press allows you to download the image/video to your phone.
The motion detecting sensitivity takes some playing with to get right but I think my problem if the distance/height from the street. It works, but at full will pick up insects etc.
Overall it is a great camera and I’m considering buying more for other parts of the house.
however once installed anf you have pc software or the mobile software in my case both..
the picture from the camera takes so long to load its just not even funny if you want to look at whats just triggered your senor there and then this camera is NOT for you.
i had a trigger one morning and i fired up the mobile app and took about 3 to 5 mins to load a picture by then whatever triggered the senor was gone so i had to load up the PC version…. login can be a right pain as even when the remember box is ticked it really doesn’t remember you…once logged in it takes a 2 seconds to find the recording and then 10 to 15 mins to skip to the part your actually wanting to see.
sadly wouldn’t recommend this cheap camera if your wanting to view images straight away
I’ve had this set up for a day and it’s great quality with motion alerts I get through my phone and easy set up you just set it up where u want it and then connect through the app by scanning underneath the camera where there is a qr code and it connects straight away. Also there is night vision which is perfect. I would highly recommend this item but make sure you have a mirco sd card too as if you dont wanna pay for the icloud subscription then your need a mirco sd to save everything the camera sees
I bought two of these cameras in February. However, one of them developed a fault recently. The seller Mary was excellent; she provided helpful advice and then agreed to provide a replacement, which I received in two days . Very good service
These cameras are very good for the price. I purchased 2 and will be purchasing another 2.
It is easy to set up. Just connect to the wifi and download the app and you are pretty much set.
There are a couple of things that could be improved in my opinion. The power cable is too short which I remedied by purchasing a 5 metre extension from amazon for 5.99. The other issue i find is that the app can be slow at times which can be frustrating but does the job and could possibly be sorted with an update.
Picture quality not bad but needs to be restarted almost daily. When it stalls and needs to be restarted historical recordings are lost so it is of little use as a security camera.
I’ll pay more and buy better next time.
Update – there is now a software update available in settings —- but it won’t update. Therefore downgraded my review to 1* and changed the title to better reflect the quality of this camera.
Update – I had struggled with this camera for several weeks but a second (free) camera provided by COOAU is now working well. I have revised this to 4* to reflect COOAU good customer service.
This camera is amazing, couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I bought it due to a spate of car key burglaries in my area and this has put my mind at ease for sure.
Very sturdy build quality and quite small so it’s visible but doesn’t take up loads of space on my house. The picture quality in both night and day is superb. Set up was easy and the instructions are clear and easy to use. You’ll need a drill to put holes in the wall where you want to fit it but other than that everything is included that you will need. Highly recommended.
This is the first ever motion camera i’ve bought and i must say i am delighted with the product. Straight out of the box it felt like a quality item and with a full set of comprehensive and more importantly UNDERSTABLE instructions it took me less than an hour to install from opening box to getting it on the wall outside.
once installed the user controls are pretty much self explanatory allowing you to set up an alarm function and hours of operation are just one of the great features. The picture quality is great and the motion detection is excellent.
If i was looking at any niggle it would be angle adjustment, if the horizontal adjustment had been reversable you would be able to fit to a ceiling or porch roof withou needing to ‘flip’ the screen.
All in all, highly recommended!!
For the money, it is a good camera. It’s very robust, and picture quality is excellent. I found installation a little tricky, but then to be fair, I am a technophobe.
DON’T buy this if you want two way communication with echo show. You can talk from camera to Alexa, but not through Alexa to camera.
Great product ordered on Wednesday night and arrived Saturday morning. Was concerned that it was going to be a big camera but delighted that it was compact and well built. A little bit of a problem getting it up and running but with the money. I am going to order 3 more. Even got a free sd card offer, just have to figure out how to claim it..
Over a few months I’ve had one that drowned in the heavy rain we can get where we live despite allegedly being ip65.
The next one just refused to connect to our wireless router despite using every trick in the book.
Now this one- straightforward to connect. It works with my Windows surface pro, my Huawei mobile and my Samsung laptop with no problem at all. The picture quality is very good and the refresh rate on the video means that the image I see is not ‘jerky’ (unlike most) and it’s in time (unlike most which are a couple of seconds behind). It continually records to a micro SD (not included in the kit) which is easily accessible wherever you are.
I recommend this unit, oh- and it didn’t get drowned in the storms we had in Cornwall recently, Ciara they called it!
We have had an issue with the SD card in the camera, however this has been resolved with the help of the technical service. The camera works well both hard wired and through the WI-FI.
This camera was relatively easy to set up. I used the ethernet cable to connect it to my PC and phone before I attached it at the fron my house. The cables are not long so I switched the connection to wi fi which works fine but I needed a power extension cable. The picture quality is great and the sound is good. My only issue is that you cannot rotate the picture at 90 degrees as I had to place it at an angle which is why I have given it 4 stars and not 5.

I was looking for two outside cameras for my home, one fitted at the back and one fitted to the front, and both with day and night capabilities. This camera appears to fill the requirements.
I firstly set up one camera out of the box and followed the instructions supplied and this camera using all cables supplied, and it all worked ok. However the software downloaded from the web site for use on Windows 10 is very flaky and part way through the set up process (the bit where you chose your time zone) the software locks up.
I then had to end the app in task manager and restart the software and could then go in under settings to finish the set up. This activity also allowed me to see that there is a new firmware version and so I then upgraded the camera accordingly. Camera one works fine.
The second camera (identical to the first) was more of a problem.
Out of the box you fit a Micro SD card (not supplied) and then power on the camera. Initially you will see the ring of red lights on the front and then after around 30 seconds you will hear a tick every 15 seconds or so. Then after about a minute a louder sound occurs and then you will see a small green light on the wired network connector begin to flash. At this stage plug in your network cable (supplied) and press the plus sign in the app to configure the second camera.
Simple.
However on the second camera the click occurs, but the network indicator remains off and doesn’t activate for arouns 1 hour or so (it varies). Furthermore the camera will not allow the new firmware to up load and if the camera is powered down and indeed reset to factory settings, it does not change the setup delay.
I have used all the cables supplied, including all cables supplied with the working camera, I changed the MicroSD a number of times including the MicroSD card used in the first camera and nothing works.
I then contacted the supplier both through Amazon and also via an info email address supplied but they have yet to return my questions.
I cannot return one camera via the Amazon site as they expect the entire order to be returned for a refund.
So I am now in a position where I will need to return both cameras or use just one.
Finally, the supplied software is very poor and appears to offer no sensible method of downloading and storing camera footage other than by a constant manual download. Removing the SD cards to transfer footage is a non starter as the cards are inside the camera body behind a small plate secured with two screws. Therefore you would need to climb up to the camera every few days, unscrew and remove the card, copy and replace.
You can manually download the images via the app by clicking on them and selecting the down load icon, but this is one at a time, manual and time consuming. The software needs an automatic download to my local drive feature. If it exists I haven’t found it yet.
Update.
The seller has supplied me with a replacement camera and this works fine, so its likely that the second camera was a 1 of problem. I’ve changed this to 4 stars as the software issues are still there.
I did struggle a little getting it set up for wifi but got there in the end(I’m no tech wizard).
A little disappointed the camera only tilts up and down you can’t swing it side to side one to watch when you are putting it in position that said the wide angle lens compensate in the most part.
The app does seem to be ok the menu settings are straightforward and easy to navigate round.
Overall for the money its seems like a great piece of kit this far I’m very happy let’s hope it can stand the test of time.
Great value for money , easy to install, great quality picture. Does the job perfectly.
Couple of observations – can’t get camera full 360 position due to aerial and power cable could do with being a good bit longer.
Motion sensor is over sensitive giving constant false alerts even when turned down.
Great camera picture quality,but not really as wide focus as my other camera ,you get what your looking at .!!
instructions are a bit help shy ,and if you don’t take the motion detector off you end up with millions off videos on you I phone …
Easily set up and positioned ..just a little disappointed with the overall focus
The camera is very easy to install provides you are handy enough with a drill (assuming the camera will be mounted on brick wall). I haven’t had the camera very long however I’m happy with the quality. The app can be a little temperamental at the start but I found setup easy enough. I live on a main road and found the motion detection was set off easily, possibly too easy but I’m hoping il find the sweet spot for it, a bit of adjusting should fix that. Overall I’m very happy with the camera and plan to add a few more
Camera quality is excellent, I’ve set this up to monitor my back door as a test before mounting it outside (and drilling holes). All I can say is that’s perfect. Setup was simple, plugin to power and plugin into the router, download the app and scan the back of the camera and it sets it all up for you.
It has motion detection, which seems to work well in my tests, it can record on to SD card or onto the Cloud (which you have to pay for). Or you can record on to a hard drive box connected to your network (sold seperatly).
The camera works great, it records, monitors and quality is perfect. Can’t fault it.
