The temperature control is great. And they are so easy to use. This is my second pair the first pair lasted for years.
These straightness were recommended by my hairdresser. These are brilliant and so much better than ghd which I had for years. Love that you can set the temperature and they heat up really quickly. I’m delighted

These are life changing. I have really thick hair and always used GHD but my hair was never sleek. These straighteners are amazing, my hair has never looked so amazing! Trust me, buy then, worth every penny!
Bought these for my mum for Christmas, she was previously using ghd’s for about 10 years which were just frizzing & pulling her curly, thick coarse hair.
She absolutely loves these!!! The temperature control is great, and it takes her less than half the time to style her hair now & no more frizz! Highly recommended!
Great product that leaves my hair smooth and silky. It’s a great asset to select the exact temperature you want so you make sure you hair doesn’t burn. Great product as well if I want to curl my hair.

The C1 has very smooth plates and glided through my thick hair effortlessly. Very easy to manage and the rounded edges meant it was easy to put curls and waves in my hair.
Wary after using ghds for soon long, however I would say these are as good as if not better than the ghds and a fraction of the price! Don’t delay – get these now!
The product is boxed very professionally and it looks expensive. The box is a very contemporary, modern, sleek & funky triangle. Even the inner casing bag is a heatproof triangle and when opened leaves a V slot for the straightener & cable to sit neatly to one side…whilst the other side flatten’s out into a heatproof mat.
The straighteners themselves are just beautiful to hold…a very comfortable effortless grip that is soft touch.
The plates are gorgeous shiny Titanium. They glide effortless through the hair…and with a variable heat control system delivering 120C – 235C, they are definitely suitable for all hair types. The build quality is phenomenal for the price…they look and feel professional and way more expensive than they are! They deliver results in one stroke (my hair is thick, coarse,frizzy and natural wavy). They look and feel much more expensive.
The thing I noticed most was how effortlessly they glide through my hair with mo snagging or pulling…my hair feels amazingly soft after use, with no dry fried ends like my previous GHD experience, and my style stays all day whether straightened, curled or flicked! (Yes, I’ve tried all). They are so easy to use, my hair looks and feels Pro Salon done! Having been a GHD girl for the last 12 years…I’d say that these straighteners are far more superior to GHD! I know that’s a bold statement to make, but I’ve had 3 GHD’s and they don’t even come close this Corioliss C1!
I only purchased these because my GHD has just broke…so I thought I’d give these ago…and I’m glad I did! At half the price of a standard basic GHD, I’d definitely say that’s a bonus . It’s nice to know that there’s another brand that’s far superior to GHD’s that deliver perfect, professional, effortless results at half the price!
I will never buy another GHD again…I’m definitely sticking with Corioliss from now on!
Yes – I would definitely buy these again, and yes I most definitely would recommend these .
One of the reasons for looking to change my straighteners is that my GHDs don’t have an auto off switch which some of the newer sets do and I am forever worrying that I have left them on. With this set there is a 1 hour auto cut out. This should hopefully save some worrying.
These have a variable temperature as well and having taken advice I tried them at 185 and I was really surprised. I was sceptical that 185 would even touch my hair but I was actually really impressed.
They look really nice with shiny plates and a cable that rotates 360 degree so no more twisting and catching the cable. There straighteners come with a heat case/matt to store them in which is really nice and fills me with confidence about putting them down and leaving them on a surface.
They aren’t the quickest to get to temperature but it still took less time overall to get my hair straight. I am not sure how they did it but it definitely worked quicker.
I would gladly recommend these to anyone ahead of more expensive brands. The are so easy to use and generally look and feel nice than any straighteners I have used before
Great product which was recommended to me by my hair stylist in preference to GHDs. Very kind to my over treated hair! I’m thrilled.
It says it comes with a 2 point plug but no need to buy a convertor plug, mine came to my with a regular plug attached (UK)
Personally, I’d never seen or heard of this brand until I was at a friends and used hers to do my hair before a night out. It was at that point I was glad that I’d left my GHDs at home otherwise I’d have never discovered these. I couldn’t believe that at half the price of a pair of GHDs these straighteners did double the work! They glide through your hair so effortlessly and banish those fly away hairs into non existence. My hair looked the same at the end of the night as it did at the beginning despite being in humid conditions. I just had to buy myself these straighteners and I would recommend these to anyone. So if you’re after a new pair then what are you waiting for? I promise you won’t be disappointed with these!
The best straighteners I have ever owned. Completely surpass ghd’s. A friend of mine has just a pair too following my recommendation. The temperature gauge is brilliant, the plates glide over your hair and makes curling (even my short hair) very easy. Love them!
They are really nice and come in a nice package. I’m really happy with them. They are really smooth on my afro hair. They are the best straighteners I’ve hard. The cable is also a bit longer than any straighteners I’ve ever had.
After 4 sets of ghds, babyliss straight and shine hair straighteners, I was getting a bit fed up with them and decided to try these ones. They are fantastic. Really smooth. They heat up instantly. Far better than ghds. Would highly recommend them.
I abosolutly love these straightners. As descibed outstanding quality for something of this price. I would say on par with GHD without the price tag. Packaged really well, arrived very quickly. Would highly reccomend.
I don’t even have to have the straighteners on the highest heat at 180 degrees my hair gets straight.
The metal plates slide through the hair nicely, the cord is long enough without getting tangled and the straighteners come nicely packaged in a triangle shaped case. The only thing I didn’t like was that when I got it delivered Amazon packaged it in a huge box which was so unnecessary.
I wanted new straighteners and considered buying GHDs, as these appear to be the best and most popular straighteners on the market, however I didn’t want to splash out on what might just be a brand name. I had a go with my sisters GHD IVs. which actually I wasn’t that impressed with, considering the cost! They didn’t even have variable heat setting. I did some research to alternative straighteners which could be better, these Corioliss straighteners had some great reviews, variable heat setting and half price of GHDS. The titanium plates are really smooth on the hair and won’t build up crust on the plates like ceramics. The titanium plates are ‘floating’ and tilt slightly for creating flicks and waves, great for my short bob hairstyle. I don’t use the straighteners on 230 degrees which is standard for the GHDS, 210 seems hot enough for my hair with these straighteners! 230 would OK be for really thick, curly hair, although mines just wavy naturally. The titanium plates also really stylish, like mirror plates and the black body is smooth to touch. No bad points for this straightener!! Really pleased.
After originally wanting some GHD straighteners, after hearing so much positive hype about them and postive opinions from friends who’ve got them, I decided on giving these ones a try after reading all the positive reviews here on Amazon.co.uk. Some even said they were better than he GHD ones, that the GHD ones were overrated and you were mainly paying for the price tag.
Have only used them once, to try them out, but have to say they’ve left my hair really soft, shiny and straight with just one going over!!! I set them at 180 as my hair’s fine and flyaway and there was no tugging or tangling, as I have experienced with other professional (cheaper) straighteners. My other ones will either be used for taking to the pool or, more likely, will be being put on eBay ASAP, as I can’t see any use for them with the great results these ones have given me.
Will update the review if my opinion changes with use, but for the moment I’m giving them 5 stars, as they’ve left my hair in fantastic condition, straight and shiny and went through my hair like a dream! Would definitely recommend them!!!
The only downside of this product are, it’s not wet To dry Straightener.
I did a lot of research before buying the Corioliss C1straightener and it has payed off as I am very happy with this purchase. The titanium plates are fantastic – snag free, one pass at the right temperature for you hair and it is done. Titanium is said to be better than ceramic. The temperature range is from 120-235C – it has 4 settings(120, 180, 210, 235) – I find 180 is perfect for my thick coloured hair. The heat mat is great, doubles as a travel bag, is lightweight and also being able to convert to a euro plug is perfect for trips overseas. It is good quality, nice and easy to handle with long swivel cord, heats up fast. No burning hair smell or frizzy ends. I paid a great price for these and as I read in another review for these – you don’t need to pay silly money for an excellent straightener!!!
Excellent product have had 2 sets of GHD both broken after 2 years they were not abused or anything and not particularly over used, so was sick of buying such an expensive product what doesn’t last. Did some research and these had really good reviews thought well saving myself 50 ill try them ordered on the Tuesday for free postage and package arrived fully tracked well wrapped by Thur!
Well happy comes with thermal case and mat, straighteners BETTER than GHD’s and if you have fly away hair like my friends these reduce the static due to the new form of titanium plates compared to GHD who still use ceramic.Def recommend!
Update: It’s May 2016 and the straighteners are still like new and work perfectly. We use them 2-3 times a week.
