Moved to the HS70 Pro SEs from a pair of Logitech G533s (totally sick of grappling with ghub).
They look MUCH classier than the G533s and I can wear them at the same time as I wear my glasses which is huge plus as the G533s squeaked against my glasses abominably! They are very comfortable and the sound quality is good for the price. The sound profile is customisable to a certain degree in the icue software. I got the black and cream combination and I really like how they look. The battery life is perfectly fine – its shame it charges over micro USB rather than USB C, but that’s a very minor gripe.
The HS70’s main weakness is the microphone. At best it’s adequate – but that’s par for the course with headsets in this price bracket. It’s not a huge deal for me as I don’t really need the mic and being able to remove it entirely is a big bonus.
Like most things Corsair. It’s great. Then you have to use icue. Then it’s just meh. Also the audio eq pre settings are a joke and takes you ages to find the right balance for games and music. But when you do the audio quality is fantastic, comfortable headset and decent mic. (Use mine without the mic due to having a usb mic).
Range is about 5meters so if your toilet is the other side of the house forget it.
Overall once you’ve got the right eq setup in icue they are good.
Great headphones, fantastic sound quality once configured for each app.
Not the best microphone, but for the money still well worth it.
Really easy to set up. I did find it very heavy on the low end but the Corsair icue software for PC made it really easy to EQ it and roll off the bottom end. Mic sounds great.
Overall they’re a great headset. WiFi can cause the sound to drop out intermittently
wearing for long periods of time can get hot
feel like it lacks some cooling gel pads
that dongle is bloody massive
otherwise great headphones
edit battery life is kinda meh expect to charge it every 1-2 days
I am used to spending upwards of 500 per pair of headphones but I wanted something wireless, with a mic and not too pricey that I could use to casual music listening as well as teams calls for work.
I picked up the Corsair HS70 after seeing a friends set.
Sound Quality:
Clear, with good bass extension, mids don’t appear to be dipped back too much and the highs are also well pronounced. I’d say these are comparable to Beyerdynamic DT770 but without the well roundedness or weight to the sound. Passive isolation / noise cancellation is poor, you can still hear the room easily whilst wearing these despite being a closed back set of cans.
The removable mic sounds good. Nice and clear and very directional meaning it focuses pick-up on your voice and not your surroundings. Not exactly Antlion Modmic levels of good but more than good enough for any chatting.
Build Quality:
Decent, metal frame with fake leather cushioning, nice stitching. Plastic parts feel a bit cheaper but overall build is solid.
Comfort:
These headphones are very comfortable and light on the head. The cushioning is excellent and I can easily wear these for multiple hours without issue. The fact that the mic is removable is a nice touch as it gets it out of your line of sight if you’re only listening.
Charging / Battery Life:
I have never run these dry but I have no problem getting a full days use out of them, even into a second day. The biggest gripe is the micro USB charging port rather than USB C. I see no reason why in 2022 we aren’t using USB C on everything.
Good value, good quality. Unless you are looking for a refined music listening experience, you won’t find better for a general use headset.
Great value headphones, the surround sound is brilliant for gaming. If you get a constant hiss in the background, go to the iCUE software that you need to download from Corsair, click on the headphones icon, next to the microphone volume slider there’s a sidetone slider, slide this down and it cuts the hiss out. Note, you can only do this if you haven’t enabled the microsoft surround sound driver in settings, so turn it off if so.
Had this headset for about 2 months now. Used it almost every day.
It’s comfortable. Better than my last headset which was a Razer.
The battery life is a bit poor. I tend to charge it at least 3 times a week. Sometimes every day. But I am using it plenty so you’d expect it to use a lot of juice.
It is a smart looking headset. I went for the cream one. Simply because you get the same headset for cheaper. The cream bit is barely visible if you don’t fancy it. Otherwise it is the same as the 85 version in black.
Currently retailing at 69.99. While the black is 84.99. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
Build quality is pretty great to be honest and Corsair have a good complaints department If you do have any problems.
The headphones themselves are not noise cancelling. But the way they encapsulate the ear does help to keep some noise out. When you play a tune, you can’t hear the outside noise.
The headset provides super clear audio (according to my gamer friends). Who I talk to every day while we play. The small filter does keep coming off however. That is frustrating. It dropped in my brew once.
I recommend this headset. It is an excellent example and one of the better headsets in that price bracket.
You can trust me on this one. I’ve destroyed a lot of headphones. So I buy a lot of headphones 🙂
Long story short, despite a small amount of quiet hissing deep in the background, audio is really good – just not as good as the Hyper X Cloud Alphas that this headset replaced.
The mic is terrible. No, I mean it. It’s really terrible. I swapped it for my Hyper X one using a 3.5mm extender.
I bought this headset for its mic-monitoring (sidetone), which is a feature I love and missed when I bought my HX Cloud Alphas. Sidetone is completely adjustable in Corsair’s ICUE software.
Speaking of the ICUE software, it’s bare bones, but it works well. I don’t understand the hate it receives. It’s free and allows for plenty of adjustments for your headset.
They’re comfy, they look good and sound good.
I’m pleased with the Warehouse price I paid for these (56 – ‘like new’). I’d be disappointed if I’d paid anything more than 70.
If you aren’t too worried about what you sound like on your friend’s end, then go ahead and buy them. If you are thinking of streaming or want to sound crystal clear to your friends, look elsewhere.
Pros
– excellent hearing quality; filters out notices from the outside world
– Quality build is excellent
– detachable mic
– Icue Software is excellent
Cons
– The fact that it’s not really for people with big heads; thought it’ll adjust over time.
– can only be connected via the dongle and not via Bluetooth so can’t be used for mobile phones
– Ain’t one of those headphones that can be put around the neck when you don’t want to use i
Well built and comfortable for me when wearing glasses.
My only niggle is that the volume control is next to the mic mute, I occasionally catch it which is annoying in many different ways depending on whether it goes up or down and by how much.
They’re as good as my old Turtle Beach set, definitely sturdier and considerably cheaper. So when I need to shop again I’ll definitely look at what Corsair has to offer.
Very good product, managed to purchased for a barging price of 69.99
I don’t think you can get any better in terms of overall quality, sound and features for that kind of money.
The only reason not giving 5 star product is because while they are much more comfortable from my previous Logitech G432, they are still kind of tight. What compensate this is the light frame which makes if much more bearable compared to other with tight claw frames.
Apart for the great price the best of this headset is the sound – it’s just awesome, especially with “bass boost” feature! Second to none!
Recommended!
Nice, comfortable headset with great sound.
Minor downsides;
Volume adjusting roller is at the back of the left ear meaning if you lean your head back on a pillow or cushion it will most definitely turn you volume down with the slightest of movement.
Is a very good headset for the price for us big head on the world be aware this is a one size fits all. It is comfortable enough for me but not as much as I wanted, I cant afford to use it all day and I wish it came with a foam pad because the leather one gets your ear sweat and hot not good for the hot days, I would increase a point if it came with foam pads. And doesn’t have a AUX cable but has support for i
Great headphones, charges quickly (usually 3hours). Good sound quality. Very comfy, can easily be worn for several hours. Mic clear and can be turned on and off with a press of a button.
2 things that are a little annoying,
Range – It has a fairly good range but not sure it reaches quite as far as said, although it has to go though 3 walls sometimes, it can lose it between just 1.
Beeping- If the battery is low it will beep once every minute or two for up to a couple hours till you plug them in for charging, annoying.
Fantastic looking headset, one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen.
The sound quality is great, but it’s enhanced massively if you use with Corsair icue, personally I don’t use these without icue running as the difference is night and day.
The mic is super sensitive, however you have full control of this on icue including feedback, also the fact the mic is flexible and removable is a great addition.
They also have the bonus of still being able to use them while being charged so if your like me and forget to charge them you can still use them.
All in all they are a really great headset for the money (69 when I bought them)
There are a couple of downsides to these which some may find a little annoying.
Firstly is the Corsair icue software, this is great if you use it everyday, I have it to control my lighting and fans anyway so it’s not an issue to me but other people have experienced conflict issues with icue and other lighting/cooling control software.
Secondly is the actual internal depth of the earcups, I don’t have very big ears but my ears do touch the cover that covers the speakers inside the ear cup, I notice it but It doesn’t cause any pain or irritation while in use, it’s just something to bear in mind.
A good headset for the price .
This headset set has a really good value for the price, obviously don’t expected an amazing sound from this headset.
HS70 has a good build quality and the wireless option is always a nice touch.
The sound is OK for a close back headset, sound staging and image are decent, so i could recommend this headset for casual gamers, But not competitors FPS players.
Avoid this headset is you planning to listen to music, they don’t have a good sound quality.
For watching movies and video this headset gets the job done, but don’t expect anything special.
For the price this is a good budget friendly entry level headset.
Would recommend
It sounds great with decent mic and I enjoy using it for that reason. However I find I keep losing the foam cover for the mic as it falls off too easy and the headset gets uncomfortable on my head after a while which gives me headaches too. I have a slightly larger head and this may be part of the reason but it prevents me from using the headset comfortably half as much as I’d like to.
Great sound, comfortable and stylish.
However…. The Corsair iCue software is a truly terrible app. I have to turn it off to stop the headset constantly telling me it’s going into shutdown mode – as soon as I do that I lose every function except the volume on the headset (with the added annoyance of disabling my mouse buttons and screwing up the lighting on my keyboard, RAM and CPU cooler…all of which are Corsair products.)
Please Corsair, sort this out.
Fantastic head set! Only issue, I feel the sound quality could be better. Seems a little sharper than my previous Logitech G933 but don’t let that put you off! With the correct sound settings it is hardly an issue! Just wasn’t expecting such difference in the two. These are lovely and light. Had them on for 5 hours straight in a gaming session, no issues or strain on the ears. Ear cuffs stayed cool and crisp throughout even on the tense high stress levels!! 9/10 only because of the sound quality but that’s my personal opinion being pedantic.
Bought this headset because my Razer wired headset was getting worse for wear. Decided to go wireless as my PS4 is now significantly further from where I game than previously and didn’t want to have to sit at the end of my sofa just so the wire would be long enough.
I’ve probably put approximately 10-20 hours of gaming through this headset at the time of writing this review and could not be happier.
The audio is clear, crisp and plenty loud enough for my liking. The battery seems to last a very long time and I have had no connection problems between the headset and my console through the USB drive plugged into my console.
I’m sure that someone out there knows much more about audio than I do and I’m sure to their ears it isn’t the best ever! But for someone who just wants something comfortable to wear whilst gaming without the pain of any trailing wires, this is about as good as I can imagine.
Would definitely recommend this headset if you want effortless, wireless gaming!
I have used a plantronics (which are great for work type applications) and a Sony DECT headset, but these are my first gaming set; so easily impressed was I anyway.
The battery life is really good, I get 2 days of use on one charge. Lets me watch a bit of youtube and join as many meetings as I “like” during the day. I don’t listen to music in background, which if you do in your 10 hour workday, will require putting them on charge over lunch. They make a scary boop sound when the battery is running low, which you can change to a human voice if you install the iCUE Corsair optional app. I’d recommend doing that if only to tweak the auto-off idle settings. I can wear these with my glasses on, although comfortable, this means shifting the glasses arm every so often.
Lightweight, and work well with Zoom.
I really, really like this headset.
Build quality is super good and it looks really good! A subtle looking headset as opposed to looking like a scouter from Dragon Ball Z. Not that I wouldn’t mind having one like that.
Good Points:
Build quality is top notch
Adjustable sliders on both sides are great and lock into place well
Ear cups are super soft and make a good seal around your ear without touching it, also have good angles of swivle to fit onto any head shape
Encountered zero wireless connectivity issues and next to no latency
Mic is decent too, wish the arm was just slightly stiffer but having said that, it does hold position with no problem (no quality complaints from other players)
Sound quality is super fine, crisp and clean sound production
Controls are easily accessible and useable
Battery life is decent too, I charge once every three ish days with around 3/4 hours gaming a day
Not so Good points:
I feel as though they’re slightly larger around my head than other headsets with the adjusters in the default placement
Do get a tiny bit warm after longer gaming sessions
No wired capability however, you can plug in to charge and play simultaneously (other people in a game party will hear a buzz and will be annoyed so I don’t recommend )
Best Wireless Headset under 100 and others seem to agree also best subtle looking gaming headse
Well I have to say I have been looking for ages for a pair of gaming headsets for my xbox one and from what I can tell from my own experience this product had alot of bad rep.
For a budget headset it’s perfect sounds good its comfy, while playing something like warzone I can clearly hear foot steps from front to back and can also hear people parachuting off buildings. This is damned useful if someone is trying to get the jump on you. Best purchase for a while would reccomend these and I had to put the type in the title due to for some reason the reviews are all jumbled mixed in with other headsets ….
Bought this for 35 on sale when my older headset broke. Great for gaming but the mic isn’t in a great location so it has to be close to your mouth to get a clearer microphone sound. I like bass and there’s enough for me when listening to music but if I wasn’t buying this for gaming I’d rather buy higher quality headphones as appose to a headset.
+Comfy padding, you forget you’re wearing them
+Good quality removable mic, adjustable for almost anyone
+well positioned volume controls and a very helpful ‘mute’ button
+decent quality audio for the price
+Nice and long cable, to reach round the back of the pc should you need it
-ears can get sweaty during longer (3+hrs) sessions, so have to take them off in between games
-no usb 🙁
Let me begin by saying that I bought the headset at 31.99 during a Black Friday sale. A massive saving from the RRP of 50. I will review this product as if I paid the full 50 price.
Pros:
– Excellent sound quality. Whether you want a headset to hear every detail in a game, play at competitive levels or even just use casually for music and movies these will not disappoint. The headset has great bass as well as treble and for 50 (and definitely less on a sale) you will seriously enjoy the sound.
– Superb build quality. A few reviews state that these headphones break easily…..ignore them. Those reviews are most likely made by individuals that don’t take care of their products and toss all their accessories around without care. These headphones have a very sturdy and strong build quality, they have some slight weight and thickness to them (not so much that they become uncomfortable) which definitely yells “premium” when in hand or on head
– Features: Detachable mic, on headset volume slider and microphone mute button. Very useful and handy to have while in game.
Cons:
– Mediocre microphone. This microphone is nothing to write home about. It’s not abysmal (especially considering it’s perhaps the best you may get at this price point) but at the same time it does make you question whether it may have been worth saving up a little more money to buy a dedicated quality microphone or even a higher end headset with a very clear microphone. When using this microphone, your voice lacks a lot of tone and bass and sounds incredibly flat. As a casual and semi-serious gamer this is fine for me as I only talk to friends over discord. However if you require crystal clear voice quality when you speak then these are most definitely not for you.
– Uncomfortable at times. My ears are slightly large and stick out and so, they push against the inner of the headset when worn. This causes a great deal of discomfort when they are worn for upto and longer than 3 hours. I’ve managed to tolerate it thus far and have no intention of returning them when I’ve got the product at such a bargain price. However if comfort is key to you, I would not spend 50 on these.
Conclusion:
Four stars. Excellent purchase if you can buy these at a discount. However if you’re paying the full 50 RRP then you may want to consider other products if Microphone quality and Comfort is a deal breaker for you.
I just received the headphones, but I have already tried them for a prolonged period. For the price that I paid for me they are far more than worthy.
PRICE [4.5/5]: I paid the headphones 30 and they are definitely worth the price and more!
DESIGN AND MATERIALS [4/5]: Design is cool and materials are definitely good. Nothing incredible, but for sure more then enough for the price.
UTILITIES [5/5]: They are super versatile! I love the possibility to un-pluggable mic and the button to deactivate it. For example if your software for the voice activation of the mic is not working, or you just want to be sure to be not heard, you can physically turn off the mic with the button. Also the volume control on-ear is awesome.
SOUND QUALITY [3.5/5]: About the sound quality to me it seems fine, but I am not an expert, so cannot judge well. Btw, I am satisfied.
COMFORT [4/5]: I used for a period of 6 hours continuosly and I didn’t have any big issue.
Very good headset. They are very comfy and doesn’t bother for a long period of time, compared with other headsets. At first they are a bit tight, but you get used to it and stays very fit to your head. I like the design, very simple and elegant. The only con I see with this product would be the sound quality. I hope it lasts a long time cause I am very satisfied with the experience.
Bought the HS60 in white, as it was cheaper in this variant (of which, I don’t understand – as it has the smallest amount of white). I have been using it for around a month now, and for the price, you cannot fault it. It is extremely comfortable, and delivers great all around sound outside of gaming, and brilliant surround sound in game too. It’s removable mic is a neat gimmick, and it’s usb passthrough allows for it to be placed on a keyboard – or the front of the computer. Which is useful, as the wire is not all that long. I have noticed however, that the mic isn’t really the loudest, nor the best. It is however, what you pay, being under 50. The actual cable too, is rather flimsy, and often gets bundled up. So, if mic quality is not too important to you, and the short & odd cable does not pose a problem, it is a great all around headset. The noise cancelling isn’t all that good, but that’s only if you are blazing music at its max. I’ve found that it works fine at 70% max.
his is a really good product for what its worth. My only problem with it and the reason im not giving it 5 stars is the sensitivity of the mic, i can have the mic as far away as possible and my friends can still hear an echo or playback of videos or any game play audio very clearly. I as of yet am unable to find any way to reduce the sensitivity of the Mic. other than that. this headset is extremely comfortable and i can go hours on end without needing to take them off or adjust them. the sound quality is amazing as well with a decent amount of bass as well as treble. would recommend to anyone looking for a budget set of headphones
The sound quality on these is fantastic, great range, clear mid tones, deep bass and crisp highs.
The mic however is quiet and tinny (sounds like the headphones aren’t driving enough power to the mic).
you could maybe fix this by plugging the mic jack into an external DAC but for the cost of the headset plus a DAC you’d be better off buying as better headset if mic quality is important to you.
If the mic quality is a secondary concern howver, these headphones are fantasic for their price point and I’d highly recommend!
This headset is a brilliant value-option that is perfect for PS4 gaming. The build quality looks amazing, especially at this price. It provides a very comfortable, padded stitched headband with a very useful volume slider and mute button, nicely placed below the left earcup for easy access. The mic is excellent, I didn’t face any issue with its clarity or background noise, and is detachable. It didn’t sound great listening to music with this, especially with the volume being surprisingly low even when increased. On the other hand for its main purpose of gaming, this headset really delivers fantastic overall surround sound which provided me superb immersion when playing. It does generally do a good job in keeping noise out with it’s over ear-style, it helps you block yourself out to your surrounding environment but not too much so you can still have awareness of things in your house which was perfect for me.
However, a key drawback with this headset has to be the cushions which are very unusual compared to all the other headsets I have used. It’s oddly hollow, with little actual cushion, and stiff when placed on your head making it uncomfortable. Gladly over time I became used to it and don’t feel too bothered by it now. Nonetheless, it should be better. Overall, I would still highly recommend this as you definitely get more compared to other headsets at this price point, in terms of excellent build quality, all-around great sound and essential features.

For 55 this is a steal of a headset! If you are on a budget and can’t reach the high end price points then this is the headset for you.
The headset is quite bare bones in terms of accessories, coming with just an audio splitter to split the single analog signal into input and output, the removable microphone, as well as a small rubber plug in case you don’t need the mic.
I expected a plastic construction, some possibly discomfort and sub-standard sound. What I got was excellent, sturdy build quality (vastly superior to that of my Razer Kraken 7.1’s), comfortable ear faux leather ear cups that sit well over the ears and sound quality that allows me to pick off targets in CS:GO with ease. The mic is better than expected as it has a flexible metal construction rotating plastic tip capable of offering easily legible communication on discord, as well as in game.
There are some reviewers that have complained about noise leaking from the headset into the headset’s mic. After testing this, as I am using the headset on maximum volume, I can say that it doesn’t happen to me and that I also use a blue yeti as a main microphone. That thing picks up EVERYTHING and can’t detect any residual sound leaking out.
Overall I think this is a solid buy for the price, good for anyone starting out or looking for a budget option. If its in a sale I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up a second one for a friend or even as a seperate pair of media headphones for other devices.
Good quality after tweeting the audio settings on my PC and I love the adaptor as I can use it with other headsets, the build quality seems good but wire isn’t detachable. Takes a day to get used to the feeling of them on your head but are very comfortable. I can say this is a good headset! But I would still like to see a wireless option or mode so than they can last longer, also don’t reccomend these for non pc users as the wire will probably not last long as your always moving it.
