On my 2nd HX1000i – First one appeared fine, but was faulty above 500W draw from my system (AMD Ryzen 5800x3D with RTX3090). 12v rail dipped below 12.8v at full tilt and the mb re-booted. I could replicate it everyone under furmarks utility.
I’m sure it was semi-DOA. Replacement works fine.
Would recommend this.
At low loads the fan completely turns off which makes it very quiet, basically silent.
Not cheap, but if you want a good bit of kit with silent operation when possible, this is a good choice.
Definitely would recommend.
Installed fine no issues at this time
Please note I saw the cables looked different to my old evga PSU cables
“Use the cables supplied, otherwise you could do some serious damage to your PC kit”
It’s a menacing black box required due to a new graphics card, I worry that they’ll be asking me if I want to play global thermo nuclear war and try to toast the planet but so far they’ve been satisfied with making elite dangerous awesome in VR.
Great having the modular cables.
I brought a 4080 so wanted to ensure clean power. I had their 450 supply for 8 years, this was simply an up grade and works fine no real heat very very little noise
Needed a replacement whilst another power supply was being r.m.a.
Not the same company I hasten to add this was available next day so system was not down for too long
This is a good power supply. That’s it, really – you needn’t read any more unless you’re a tinkerer.
The only real issue with this PSU is how warm is gets. The fan doesn’t kick in soon enough by default, in my opinion. That’s easily solved, however, with Corsair’s iCUE software – thankfully, you can connect this PSU to a USB 2.0 header on your motherboard, and directly monitor/control. With the fan, temperatures easily hover around 40C. Without, you can see them get as high as 60C and I don’t really like that.
Runs perfectly. Completely silent, mostly idles around 40 degrees.
Fans don’t kick in until heat generated. But also seems like fan profile is not configurable on iCue – not sure why.
But generally, no concern, does what it says on the ti
klare Kaufempfehlung
As the title says this is a solid, good quality PSU.
Happy with the easy set up and all the extra cables it comes with.
