A present for my daughter and she thinks it’s marvellous!
People debate the relative merits or air versus water cooling, but a set of quiet fans, like the ones with this cooler, pushes this build it yourself veteran to water cooling and I wasn’t disappointed with this product.
I was surprised to see that instructions were not included in the box. You have to go online and view them which while not a deal breaker is kind of annoying. Especially if this was your only computer and you had to just view them on your phone when you are building. A printed copy should have been included.
Fitting of the radiator and cooler went smoothly. I was installing this into a Fractal Mesh Compact which is a small case, but everything fitted ok. You just need to be aware of ram height clearance if you are in a small case. Otherwise you might not have room for the fans. The cooler comes with mounting plates for Intel and AMD chips and can support the 12th Gen (and probably 13th Gen) Intel chips.
Once the system is up and running, you get that nice LED screen display showing your temps. There are plenty of options to change this in the iCUE software between liquid temp, core temp, CPU utilisation, etc – as well as a custom logo if you prefer that instead.
You can select between different pump and fan profiles to either have max cooling, max quietness, or a balance in between. You can also set you own custom curves. I’ve been able to run everything on silent mode (which isn’t silent in reality but still pretty quiet) and still keep the CPU in the 60’s celsius when running at 5Ghz on all cores.
The RGB effects on the cooler and the fans look good with smooth colour transitions. The pump is a little louder than I hoped for. My son had a regular H100i which is quieter than this. His was barely audible at all, but this unit definitely can be heard. However, he is also running an i5 and generating far less watts of heat overall. Fan noise is similar to my last cooler. They can go loud, but as long as I set the voltage up to keep the CPU from getting too hot, then overall they are fairly quiet.
This is in my opinion the best 360m liquid cooling system in the market right now; It offers all the best features such as Lcd, rgb controller, 3 rgb fans, Icue software compatibility and much more.. Also comes with fittings for both INTEL and AMD ; Its very easy to install but bear in mind you will need a FULL TOWER CASE in order to do it as its quite long and has 3 fansIm very happy with it and would definitely recommend it!
This along with another purchase made a massive difference to cooling my i9- 12900k, literally dropped it by 25deg on certain tasks where the processor was thermal throttling after few seconds….
The lcd panel is amazing, the radiator is good, but still using weak fins, pump is loud when on full, but overall reliable even on long time use and keeps water cool over days of being on.
Amazing bit of kit if you can get it on sale like I did, keeps tempts under 50c underload (58003dx) no issues
So much quieter than my old coolermaster air cooler, I’m pairing it with a Ryzen 7 5800x which was running too hot for my liking after upgrading to this I’ve had no issues with my temps or noise level. it has lost 1 star in easy to install as when installing it I didn’t push one of the cables in enough and spent hours troubleshooting it I contacted corsair support who came back with lots of different things to try to fix it the next day by that point I had worked out that I needed to push a cable a bit harder than I imagined but the support was very quick and helpful
very nice and highest quality cooler.. amazing looking screen… small minus very big wire going from screen hard to hide… very good cooling im using for i9 13900k and still very good temp… full recomended… best on marke
I installed this into a new build that is using an AM4 chip.
I made the mistake of changing the mounting brackets early on. This required me to take the protective cover off from around the heatsink. I didn’t realize this came with thermal paste, I thought the white patch was an “apply paste here zone”. That’s just how clean the square of paste is.
Anyway, protective cover down, paste exposed. Installed the radiator and left the heatsink dangling for a bit unaware of what I was doing.
Luckily, the paste didn’t go anywhere other than where it needed to be. But it was a close call.
You also have to think ahead of where the coolant pipes are, and which way up the LCD display needs to be. This can easily get jumbled up, or the pipes may get squeezed into a tight corner that it can’t really fit into.
The cooler is keeping my i 9 13900k at idle 37c ! and under load around 70-80
The problem is if the Software app is not open on Desktop it makes up a random reading of 70c ! But as soon as I open the app and leave it on Desktop it reports the correct temp, No idea why its doing this.
Great kit easy to follow instructions. Extremely quite and keeps temps so much lower than my previous stock cooler. Initially the screen did have a couple issue that meant I had to reinstall icue but I think that is more the icue software than the device.
This cooler is big, you will probably need to buy a new case just to fit it. This just about fits in the Corsair 7000X. It’s beautiful and it’s quiet the 140mm fans really make all the difference with a custom curve. I’m running a 5950x and it cools it beautifully. Attached is a screen showing the max temps after being under full load for 10 minutes. It’s amazing, the coolant barely goes above 40-45 and it’s practically silent.
The LCD is awesome and works well with the software, with the included RGB/Fan hub it’s really easy to sync it with anything else you might have. You can even put custom gifs on it!
Really good, quiet cooling but you need a really big case! Also mounting on AM4 is janky as! You have to like push the rear of the motherboard forward as you screw it unless you’re upside down they’ll wanna just retract behind the motherboard everytime you apply a little pressure.
My first AIO and deffo worth the switch!
I did hesitate a lot on getting this. If it isn’t broken don’t fix it. My air cooler was doing a mighty fine job of sucking heat out the CPU so why change.
Are the AIO things easy enough to install?
Well my love of gadgets won out and I made the purchase.
The install was really easy.
Comparing this 360mm, triple fan, radiator with my 110mm fan air cooler.
This radiator lowered the CPU temperature by an easy 8 Celsius under load, maybe even getting to 12 Celsius?. And that was with the fans running at fairly low speeds, (800-900 rpm). That’s about 50% speeds.
The pump itself didn’t get much above base speed at 2200-2300, which on a 2650rpm limit is mighty impressive.
Didn’t arrive with an AMD AM4 mount as advertised (good thing I had a spare!)
Display very useful, sound levels good, overall very happy.
Amazing that’s all i have to say
Apart from would be nice if they had a little picture instal guide or a link to where you can find one as some people might not know what they are doing
Installed all good as this was being used for a build
For my friend who has cancer and when installed it had a broken screen so had yo use a msi cooler for him I took of my pc so he could have somting to use he was very gutted after wating over a week for the build as I am working 80hrs a week! Had this weekend of to get it done and had this
update got another one for him in the end and he love the new look
In terms of looks, you can’t really get better than Corsair. They always somehow manage to their RGB and aesthetics on point.
While it was moderately easy to install and to setup on ICUE, I’ve had a few display errors here and there which were just fixed by turning my desktop off for a few minutes. That is why I have not made this review 5 stars. Apart from that, another brilliant product by Corsair.
After receiving faulty ones of this I finally got one to set up in my computer, I found the setting up easy if you take your time and set all the wiring etc. out and I found the one major problem with this system is after all set up and working you have to be very careful not to move the water hoses at all more so when you have power to the board and installing anything you can short out the display since it is only held in place by magnets. overall good
So it looks great and does what it’s meant to
The fans are load at 1500rpm or above but in gaming who cares as you should have headphones on .
The good
Temps are low at low rpm and fans are not load under 1499rpm I have 3080ti and 5900x in battlefield 2042 I get temps of upto 70c but my fans are running 1200rpm or under and have pump on balanced so not pushing to hard for best temps as well under and keeping pc running like a monster .
The screen on the cooler is amazing and they changed the bracket to 4 thumb screws for AMD not that rubbish 2 thumb screws . So nice upgrade on the mounting side all in all its a high price but I’d you can get 5 years out of it worth it .
