Firstly – I returned this item as the switches were too sensitive for my heavy hands as I rest not hover. This is a personal preference as I was making too many mistakes when typing / with accidental keypresses

    Pros
    – Nice build quality
    – Satisfying “Thock”
    – Detachable USB
    – Compact size whilst keeping arrow keys

    Cons
    – OPX switches are low actuation force and travel
    – No wrist wres

I had an old K70 full keyboard with the Cherry MX switches.
I upgraded to this purely because I never had any use for the numpad and the Speed switches caught my eye.

All in all, it’s great. The switches are VERY sensitive, though. I find myself resting my fingers on the keycaps and all of a sudden I’m strafing, so this is something to take into consideration. I’m used to not putting as much pressure on the keycaps with my fingers now so I’m moving when I want to.

Construction feels a lot sturdier. I don’t know how to describe it but it just feels tighter. Typing does feel different when striking the keycaps, and it the keyboard sounds less clacky than the Cherry switches but it might just be because of the other K70’s age.

The lack of numpad, while it’s only a few inches of space, it does make a hell of a difference. I used to bash my mouse against the side of my full sized K70, now when I’m whipping round my mouse, my brain isn’t used to moving as far as my mouse hand moves now and I wonder where my keyboard has gone despite resting my left hand on it.

All in all, really like it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s excellent value for a mechanical keyboard. The 1 mm linear keys make it very sensitive and prone to errors, which why I returned the keyboard as I couldn’t really get used to it. I also decided to use a wrist support as I found the keyboard very elevated, but that’s personal preference.

Great keyboard works like a dream. Shorter travel distance can lead to mistakes but will get used to that. Rob isn’t that good, unlike others you need to manually load Corsair rgb to get your chosen. Oloura rather than just auto loading on startup

upgraded from the k55 and I’m loving it already. a friend said the 1mm might be too fast for me but in gaming and typing it’s working out just fine for me. The RGB can be a bit annoying to get working exactly how you want but thats not an issue for me.

I’m using Corsair products for many many years. This keyboard is fantastic as most of Corsair products I bought over the years. Works perfectly for both writing and gaming. It looks beautiful too and lighting effects you can create in iCUE app gives you a lot of freedom of creativity. It’s well made and amazing product.

I didn’t realise that it also had double shot pbt keycaps and 8000 hz polling rate. Massive bonus for me as now I there is zero comprimises.

Anyways the keyboard feels great to type on and for osu (the game I play the most) it helps a ton considering just how light the actuation force is.

Absolute steal for me to get this on sale for less than 100!!

Switches feel great, 1mm actuation seems excessive but I never have typos from it and in game it’s extremely useful.

Key caps are of good quality, and the stabilisers are good too.

    RGB is vibrant and accurate.

    Media keys function well.

I’ve owned multiple keyboards from customs to other gaming keyboards like the alloy origins and this for me is my best purchase.

Not using for gaming but rather as a compact keyboard to work around a busy desk with a graphics tablet and a need for plenty of typing.
It’s a solid performer. The lighting is strong enough. The keys can be quiet if you type lightly but feel like they could take a hammering too.
It is damned expensive though. I’ve worn out several cheaper keyboards so if I come back in 3-4 years and it’s still going strong, I’d up it to 5 star value with no reservations.

Very solid and stylish keyboard. Does need a wrist rest to be comfortable, which is not included. RGB features are spot on. The ten-keyless design is great for a smaller desk.

This is a really nice keyboard to use and I love Corsair products, and I love using this keyboard.

Saying that, it has the same problem I’ve had with a previous Corsair board (which I returned) – it has a tinny reverb when you hit certain keys. It was horrific on the previous board but not noticable with headphones on with this board.

It’s a shame because as I said, otherwise excellent – Corsair seriously need to put more noise dampening material on these though.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent Corsair keyboard with a great layout, nice key caps. The software is good although there is a learning curve which is steeper than others I have used, macros and RGB is programmable.

What let this down for me is the switches, they are Cherry MX Reds which I had in my old keyboard but they seemed slightly more resistant in that, this one they take very little to actuate and I found myself typing all sorts without knowing. A lot of mis typed letters.

Quality is high as usual with Corsair, no issues there, the only ever issue I have had with them is one of the RGB going wrong and that was on my old K65 keyboard.

I previously had a Corsair keyboard that I loved so knew I would get a quality keyboard either way but I am surprised to say this one is better in every way. It’s small, solid and colourful!

Excellent build quality and functionality. It is a little bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.
We added a wrist rest to make it even more comfortable for small hands.

This keyboard is great for any games, the stabilizers on the keys could do with some work, they are good and do their job. the cherry mx red key switches are great and so smooth to press down, keyboard has lots of other uses and loads of buttons to mute yourself or control volume etc and also perfect tkl size

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is the best Corsair keyboard out at the moment, great feel if you don’t want a 60% keyboard, best of both worlds you can have a smaller keyboard and keep the arrow plus function keys. New cherry red keys so works with the Corsair and custom key caps

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat quality – Bought to replace a 4 or 5 year old K70 (cherry red) & the key caps & key action seem more definite/well built/solid than the old one, especially the space bar.
Corsair iCue software is not great so I think I’ll search for an alternative.
If you don’t have iCue, you can use FN key plus a number key to manually change the lighting effect BUT once you have iCue installed you lose this manual functionality which is a bit annoying.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was a bit skeptical about the switches because I don’t want them to be loud but damn…. this keyboard sounds just right! It is a pleasure to type one and the keys feel so damn good.

I simply love using it and i love everything about it.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve been using corsair keyboards for years but I have no idea why they didn’t make this keyboard with a wrist wrest like all the other K line keyboards. I had to buy an asus wrist wrest to suit the keyboard as typing without it is uncomfortable when in comparison to other corsair keyboards as the stance is fairly high. Other than that this is a very good keyboard

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDecided to come back to Corsair after years using Razer peripherals. I’m really glad i did as this keyboard is outstanding. Really nice design and great typing and gaming experience. The Double Shot PBT keycaps are really nice too. I can heartily recommend this keyboard if you’re looking for quality. Well done Corsair.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is my second Corsair Keyboard for use on another computer. I love the feel the Cherry MX red’s give over a standard membrane keyboard. Couple that with the icue software so your keyboard and mouse have matching and interacting lighting effects and an awesome keyboard and mouse get even better.

This is an excellent gaming keyboard , the build quality is really good , there is some weight to it , it feels really robust and the keys are nice and grippy, not too loud when pressed and the back lighting looks awesome.

The casing of the keyboard is really good quality aluminium and looks like it will last a long time.

The keys have pbt double shot keycaps that are wear resistant have a nice feel to them , a nice grip that isn’t slippy at all.

The keyboard is powered by a type C cable that is removable.

My 12 year old son is using this keyboard for his gaming PC , it’s a big upgrade on the keyboard he was using , it’s very good quality , he’s very pleased with the look and performance of this gaming keyboard.

The RGB lighting looks really good and is per-key programmable, the lighting can be changed quickly to non distraction mode with a flick of a switch if needed.

The keyboard uses cherry MX red keyswitches , I’m really impressed with the RGB lighting on this keyboard and the solid build quality, it looks as good as keyboards twice the price.

If you’re looking for a capable gaming keyboard with cool lighting and solidly built then I’d definitely recommend this.

    Very good for the price.
