Only giving it 3 stars as a suitable screw not provided for secure installation , have to fabricate / adapt a screw with similar thread to secure the memory card.
On a plusloads games super fast, loads of storage and a great addition to my recent gaming rig build.
I am using this to store my Kontakt, Omnisphere along with other sample libraries for music production. Loading is very quick, no need to wait around much when loading. Same goes for any complex project, I happen to use the Samsung 980 Pro as the system drive, so that paired with this drive = brilliant results!
Very impressed with the speed. The small size helps reduce any airflow blockages but be aware that this does come with a heatsink attached which might need to be removed depending on which slot you want to insert this into.
This thing is FAST. Not much else to say really…
Blisteringly fast disk and the heatsink seems to do its job well. Crystal Disk Mark test shows manufacturer stated figures for large files. Simple to fit and use.
Not sure if I’ll notice the speed difference much over old SATA 3 interface disk in real life use but as the replacement motherboard had the right slots, it seems rude not to use it.
This drive is fast! My Antivirus causes me to lose a gbit of the total speed, but nontheless a wonderful investme

Only downside on my board it nulls 2 sata ports.
Replaced a smaller SSD so didn’t notice the speed much yet, but I did notice the additional space. Went into an AMD motherboard with gen4 slots and no problem. Actually a Phison controller on it

The quality is not a problem but I prefer the new 980 Pro so I returned.
Fantastic hard drive – yes a little expensive but worth it for future proofing with gen4.
Worth mentioning it’s best to get the 1tb over the 500gb for the improved write speeds.
This type of storage was new to me but I trust Corsair products so went and purchased as it was about 40 off.
The installation was a bit fiddly with the very small post and screw used to retain the NVMe.
Fitted, formatted and used as my new C: drive, it works like a dream.
All my games are now on my old ssd drive D:.
Moved from traditional SATA SSD to this one and I can see the difference.
System installed with updates very much fuster. Coping files to or opening software is a light speed.
Recomend this piece of technology i you can afford.
All the PCIe Gen4 goodness in an affordable package if you, like me, are only using it for OS and non-game software. For gaming, maybe look at the 1TB and 2TB models
Got this as a nice way of boosting loading speeds but it’s too fast, I don’t think I’ve been able to make use of it seem at all in gaming.
Super fast SSD, absolute joy to use. It does run hot and the supplied heatsink isn’t that great approx 65c+ under full load.
I initially removed it and placed copper heatsinks on the individual chips which lowered temps by about 5c.
But I still wasn’t happy with the temps so went hardcore with a water block attached to my EKWB P360. Temps are now max 30c under extreme load, which is amazing…
I recently bought this following my upgrade to the new Ryzen platform. Quick and easy installation, installed my Windows 10 OS on it and it runs beautifully. Turns on quickly and any applications loaded on to it load very quickly.
Nothing more needs to be said. Temperatures are fine and I have yet to see it being throttled.
