Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo muss ein Monitor sein!

It is IPS panel.. Not completely satisfied with the colour reproduction as I was using a VA panel before. But 240 FPS is HUGE! Definitely recommend for FPS Savages!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGot this 4K monitor to enhance my gaming with the RTX 4090.
Excellent 4K quality with vivid colours from the screen.
Took very little time setting up and did not have to alter colour settings.
Some monitors using 3840 x 2160 have to change the sizing of text etc to 150%, but this monitor auto does this.
The only thing i found slightly disappointing with the monitor, is that if you dont switch it on before powering on your pc, the screen displaystext etc at 100%, but if you switch monitor on before powering on pc, it will auto to 150% which is better.
The other thing i noticed compared to my old 2560 x 1440 2K monitor is that when switching on the monitor it will show screen then go blank for 1 second then come back on.
This is to do with the monitor registering that it is a gaming monitor and will also display that you are using either display port or hdmi.
The buttons on the rear seem pointless except for the main thumb which you use to adjust settings. Other buttons are for presets but not need them in reality

Sorry for my first comment. The monitor is working well and my appologies. Its my fault on not trying it first and connecting in the computer and changing the settings. I just rely on the 60 hz wriiten in the box. I requested for a refund and it was approved, but I decided to keep it. My sincerely appology.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAt the time of purchase this was the cheapest 32″ 4K 144Hz monitor available. The display comes in a solid chassis and my panel had good uniformity with no dead or stuck pixels. Has decent connectivity but is lacking some features such as USB-C, KVM, and BFI that can be found on more expensive displays.

Colour accuracy is excellent however it does have typical IPS foibles such as IPS glow, grey-ish blacks, low contrast and mediocre HDR; all of which are a limitation of the technology rather than a fault with this monitor. For my mixed use it’s fine but if you’re using it mostly for gaming or media consumption then I would consider spending more and going OLED.

Overall, it’s a good monitor for the money but be prepared to accept some shortcomings.

Its good for gaming, but its also pretty good for work. For the first time in my life I didn’t need to create a custom profile of settings to get the I want to see. It was perfect out of the box.

This display is easily the best display Iv ever set my eyes on , it can get bright if you want it too, option menu got most of what you need but lacks some of the gimmicks but honestly this display outputs stunning colours and looks fantastic, the 165hz is nice aswell if your gpu got the horse power to max it. HDR is okay ish , it’s fake hdr but in all fairness it’s somewhat HDR it’s not really needed though because it puts out amazing colours , best monitor Iv ever owned and so far no complaints , definitely recommend, it’s on par or better than some of the best 1440p 165hz monitors out there

    Absolutely stunning display

I was a bit reluctant to have something curved at first but now I’ve got it I love it! It’s really well made and the picture quality is excellent. For me it came pretty much set up out of the box. It runs games like Call of Duty and Overwatch (superb refresh rate) and Skyrim and Sons of the Forest (the colours are amazing) all with equal quality.
Star Citizen looks fantastic and I’m just waiting on a steering wheel now to try a driving sim!

    Dell excellence (as usual)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe monitor was delivered two days before expected and in excellent condition. There was an HDMI cable and a Display Port cable in the box along with a European type power cable but this did not have an adapter supplied. No problem if you have spare cables or an adapter, but disappointing if you don’t. There is a single sheet of paper as an “instruction manual” which is not very clever and that’s it. The stand is not height adjustable but I expected that at this price. The problem that I did have with this monitor was getting the power cable to connect properly, it didn’t want to go fully in and as a result I thought that I had a faulty unit. However after several attempts, either something moved or the third cable I tried did work and the monitor finally turned on. I suspect that this is a one off.
I have to say that before then, I had contacted Amazon Customer Service and had the worst experience that I have ever had and that is one of the reasons I decided it was easier to keep the monitor than to argue with the “Advisor”. This monitor was supplied by Amazon but sold by one of their partners.
I have left the monitor on its’ supplied settings at the minute, running at 144Hz and am very pleased with the screen quality, text and photos look great. The next job is to run some high graphics games. Providing the monitor lasts longer than the warranty, I will be well pleased with it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersIt’s clear and bright with sharp text and amazing for games. Adjustable stand allows you to set it how you like. Loads of connection options allow me to have my keyboard and mouse shared between gaming pc and work laptop.

This monitor has soo much screen space. Makes games more intense and work more productive.
Screen controls are arey to navigate using the little joystick and buttons.
Stand is very robust and stable.

Perfect monitor for 1440p gaming. Super fast response time and 0 ghosting.

The only 2 issues I have… the build quality is not great, very flimsy flexible plastic and the HDR is terrble uses a weird backlighting method that makes the image flicker.

I’d previously been using a screen as a secondary device when using my laptop, this screen has changed that to the point I’m now using this as my primary. It took a little bit of effort to get setup (work laptop was missing nvidia control panel and windows wasn’t able to set the correct resolution) but now its all configured it’s ace. I found the software for the screen really useful to, the quick snapping of windows into configurable segments is a big time saver. Like having 3 screens in 1!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have the G3223Q, the 32″ 4K version. It’s astonishing for the price. I really need 4K for the work I do, and I wanted HDR600 or better because I am sometime working in a brightly lit room. I also wanted high refresh rate and FreeSync/GSync, for the occasional gaming that I do. I was struggling to find something that achieved all those goals at once. But then Dell landed this model and it’s perfect!

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersJust buy it!

There are several amazing traits to this monitor, but all you really need to know is that you won’t get a better all-rounder for your money in the current market. Virtually every other monitor that outperforms this unit suffers another major drawback; be it price, poor colour accuracy/vibrance, or a slow response time.

This monitor competes with the likes of the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD and the LG 27GP850 while costing approximately 100+ less, practically all of the time.

This monitor is recommended by so many reviewers and after trying it myself, I can only reinforce their claims.

    Pros:

    – Picture quality is outstanding with a 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution, squeezed into a 27″ screen-space. This amounts to a pixel density of 109ppi (pixels per inch). For context, that’s about the same as a 40″ 4K display
    – Phenomenal colour performance which is excellent for gaming and suitable for light colour critical workloads
    – Gameplay feels blisteringly quick with a 165hz refresh rate and a response time that competes with TN panels, without the muted colours that come with TN displays
    – No stuttering or screen tearing with BOTH Nvidia G-Sync AND AMD Freesync Premium Pro
    – Price to performance is outstanding, this monitor should be in the 500 category
    – Ergonomics and design, design is minimalist making it ideal for any aesthetic. Includes a vibrant blue LED (can be disabled in OSD) on the back that adds a nice premium touch to an otherwise “sleeper” monitor

    Cons:

    – Out-of-box colour performance can be a little oversaturated, which can make your whites look slightly yellow and skin tones look slightly red or tanned – this can be fixed through calibration but unless you do colour-sensitive work, I’d recommend just doing a search for DELL S2721DGFA colour settings and playing about with some other user’s recommendations. Every panel is different, but the settings shouldn’t vary too heavily.
    – HDR performance is lacklustre but the same is true for the vast majority of displays on the market, it’s really just a marketing buzzword to encourage sales and while disappointing that it’s not well implemented, this should NOT deter you, because unless you buy a professional display for colour work or video editing, or an extremely expensive OLED display, you won’t get good HDR performance anyway.
    – Some units make experience IPS glow or Backlight bleed, which can cause some areas of the display to glow during dark scenes or moments in games. My unit does have a little backlight bleed in the lower right corner, but I honestly only notice it when I’m actually looking for it.

To summarise, although this monitor does have some extremely minor cons, the pros FAR outweigh them. This monitor is an absolute bargain for the price so just buy it, you won’t be disappointed!

Best Bang for Buck Monitor in Gaming!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBest I found in this price range. IPS is my personal preference when it comes to display, had VA for some time but just couldn’t stand ghosting and washed hdr. This Dell on ufo test shows no ghosting, colours are fantastic, well, HDR could be better but anyway, it’s an improvement comparing to VA I had and it’s quite impossible to find proper hdr screen for this price.

    Pros
    Price
    Colours
    Size
    Connectivity

    Cons
LEDs in the back you can’t turn off
Makes quiet hissing sound when hdr is on
    Not great UI of OSD

    Edit:
when mounted to arm, sometimes loose power. Works perfectly on included stand.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersPreface: This particular model is MUCH MORE expensive on Amazon than elsewhere. It’s 819 on Amazon.co.uk at the time of writing this review, I can find it for 659 on Dell Business & Very.

Overall, this Monitor is fabulous to look at. The 4K, 144Hz display is incredible to game on and I’m happy with it for my gaming. For content creation purposes, I can appreciate the extra screen real estate as the monitor really benefits from 125% scaling on Windows. More analysis below:

Out-The-Box colour calibration is acceptable but the display’s contrast ratio is too low – blacks appear more grey. For HDR users: It has a decent peak brightness but the blacks are just too grey for me to call the HDR satisfactory – look for another product.

The monitor settings are intuitive to navigate and I’m able to remap 3 of the monitor’s buttons – I set mine to quickly switch between input sources and toggle Picture-In-Picture (PiP) mode on/off. PiP can display 2 inputs at once (e.g. a PS5 on HDMI and a PC on DisplayPort) which I was excited to try but this locks the monitor to 60Hz which was disappointing. You can arrange how PiP displays the 2 inputs (corner, side-by-side, etc.).

The monitor settings also boasts a “Response Time” setting (Fast/Super Fast/Extreme) BUT increasing it past the lowest setting (Fast) results in horrific ghosting which was unacceptable.

P.S: Amazon initially sent me a faulty monitor. I observed it had already been opened when it was delivered to me as there was no tape sealing it from being opened. The panel would not display anything – not even the monitor’s settings (input source, brightness/contrast, etc.) or “NO SIGNAL” windows. I contacted Amazon support and the next day UPS picked up the faulty monitor and a replacement was delivered. Happy to say this new one works swimmingly – just please be be observant when you receive yours to ensure that it’s TRULY “new” and not an already opened product. I have not factored this incident into my review as these things can happen and it was dealt with perfectly.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen it arrived, I was disappointed since it appeared to have been thrown around in the vehicle, with the seal broken and the box scratched and dented, but once opened, it appeared to be in good condition.
In this price range under 700, an excellent 4K display. Having the PBP and PIP is really useful for both work and leisure. If you need a 4K display for business and the latest console/PC gaming, look no further.
I use thisdisplay for editing andgaming. I’d say it performs a good job with both size and colour reproduction using colour calibration X-rite i1profiler
Yes, it supports G-Sync out of the box, and if you’re playing ETS2 or ATS and the screen flashes, change the refresh rate to 60hz in game and the problem will go away.
On 4K, I was getting between 60 and 143 fps with my 3900x CPU and 3080Ti while playing Red Dead, Division, Farcry, Assassin Creed, and Rainbow Six Extraction.
YES, 4K gaming with a high frame rate using DP lead on PC

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis monitor is an excellent buy for anyone looking for a high refresh gaming monitor that’s also outstanding as a work monitor.

I upgraded from an AOC 24G2U (1080p IPS 144Hz) and the difference between 1080p and 1440p was surprisingly noticeable, as was 144Hz to 165Hz. At 27″, the pixels per inch are incredibly high, and so the picture quality is very sharp. The slightly higher refresh also makes gameplay feel a lot smoother compared to my previous monitor, even if actual performance sits around the same frames per second – that’s also a compliment to Dell’s overdrive settings.

Gaming on this monitor feels very smooth, and if you’re lucky enough to be running a relatively high-end graphics card, then this resolutions feels like the sweet-spot for great visuals and high frame rate performance, which I found excellent in first-person shooter titles such as Call of Duty: Warzone.

Colour performance is also great, and my monitor has no dead pixels and very little IPS glow, which I know is something that can bother some people. There is a little IPS glow in the lower corners, but if you don’t plan to play in a dark room, you won’t notice this at all. Lots of reviews out there comment on how the contrast ratio is also low on this monitor, but again, I’ve not noticed any significant issues.

The on-screen display and menu navigation is made easy with a joy-stick like button on the back right of the monitor, and several buttons below to access other settings. There are two USB’s and a 3.5 audio input on the underside left of the monitor, and more USB’s on the rear – useful for any accessories or quick charging access.

Personally, I think this is a great monitor that ties a professional aesthetic with high-end gaming performance, and when compared to the competition around the same price (currently this monitor is 319.99 in the UK), then it’s the best option.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve purchased this S2721DGFA 27 Inch QHD monitor as an external monitor for my Apple MacBook Air M1 running the latest MacOS Monterey connected via DisplayPort.

It is interesting that this monitor was 299 from Amazon (Dell Store) yet 376 direct from Dell).

    Why did I choose Dell?
Simply put, although there are a huge number of competitive monitors available at reasonable prices and similar specs (Gigabyte, LG, BenQ to name a few), I went for Dell simply because in the past I’ve used many Dell Ultrasharps which have been outstanding quality, totally reliable, never ever any issues. My old company (Solar Gas Turbines part of Caterpillar Inc) always used Dell (laptops & monitors) and they’re not going to choose something that gives problems.

I’ve connected a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to DisplayPort cable between one of the native M1 ports and the Dell. This is the “USB C to DisplayPort Cable 1.8m, WARRKY USBC to Display Port Lead (4K@60Hz, 2K@165Hz, 2K@144Hz)”, chosen for wide frequency operation – even though I don’t use games.

Out of the box the Dell is running 2560×1440 @ 165Hz.

My main monitor for my Win10 Dell M6800 laptop is a super brilliant Dell U2715H, very similar spec to the S2721DGFA, but is much more expensive, so I didn’t want to spend so much money on another 2715. The differences are marginal:
    – The 2715 has more ports
    – Both are the same resolution, same physical size. Same pixel density.
    – The S2721DGFA has better colour space accuracy (e.g., sRGB, Adobe etc), better contrast & brightness characteristics.

My main purpose is for Photo scanning and editing, hence I need a decent size (27″) with high resolution and accurate colour rendition.
The photos show the same picture, with plenty of different colours, on the Dell & native MacBook screen (default ICCs).

What I’m particularly pleased about is that the same photo appears identical, in colour, on all my devices, M1, iPad, iPhone & Dell M6800 (Win10 with external Dell U2715H monitor).
This will give me confidence that any work I do on my negative & slide scans (I have about 3,000 to do going back 40 years) will yield consistent and accurate results – what I see on the M1 with S2721DGFA will be seen the same on my phone, tablet and other people’s devices, without having to recourse to expensive hardware colour calibration tools.

The range of ports on the S2721DGFA covers me if and when I connect another device (e.g. old MacBook Pro or Win10 laptop) either simultaneously with the M1 or independent of the M1 using either DP, HDMI or USB.

I would not hesitate to buy the same again should my trusty 8 year old U2715H decides enough is enough.

Superlative! Quiality Photography & Editing use.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI pondered which monitor to buy for a long while, because there are so many makes/types/sizes etc. and the choice is a bit overwhelming.
Because I play games in a dimly lit room, I decided a VA screen was the best choice and in order to make it worth upgrading from my 16:10 format 24″ Dell I had used for the last 8-9 years, the size had to be around 32″ 16:9 ratio.
I finally decided on the Dell S3222DGM which has a 31.5″ diagonal and a 1.8m radius curved screen. I was a bit dubious about the curve but having seen some examples in a shop, I went ahead.
The monitor itself has nice narrow edges at the sides and top and is quite heavy and seemingly well constructed and finished.
Oddly, the buttons to alter characteristics etc. on on the RHS rear which is inconvenient and not ergonomically good, but after initial setup, they don’t have to be accessed often so I didn’t mark it down for that or for the slightly wobbly stand.
Tilt and height can be adjusted but not swivel.
Once I’d realised I hadn’t inserted the DP cable properly which resulted in a black screen, it works very well indeed giving a bright and high contrast picture which is superb especially since I can now run my favourite games at 2560×1440 resolution (2P).
Refresh rate is fast enough to not be noticable and the overall picture quality is stunning albeit with the brightness turned down significantly in my darkish room, and the curve is actually better than a flat screes at this size.
I would 100% recommend this monitor despite the very minor ergonomic issues and the score of 5 is justified. Excellent.
