Bought for granddaughter to replace old laptop. She is delighted with it. She said it has good storage and she can save her art and play games. Based on her feedback I would recommend.

This is a good product that fulfils all my daily needs. It is pleasing to see the latest laptops are much less heavy than the older ones. My only complaint, no fault of Dell, is that I do not like Windows 11 as an operating system. I still prefer Windows 7 for its simplicity, and have only just got used to Windows 10, which is easier to navigate than Windows 11. That said, I am well pleased with my laptop and hopes it gives me dependable service. Highly commended!

A nice laptop which will deal with everyting that I want to use it for on a daily basis. Good screen clear, battery life seems good so far, memory excellant. It is also nice and light to carry. Shame there was not a bag supplied with it.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI was nearly put off by some of the reviews. Glad I ignored to see for myself. Caveat..this is not a powerhouse of a laptop. If you want to game or do heavy dtp get something else. If however you want to surf the net, use office, email and watch YouTube/ netflix etc.. this has a cracker of a hd screen. Decent audio. Nice keyboard and it’s so lovely amd quiet. When the fans kick on its a gentle whisper. Good connectivity with numerous ports but again not the fastest transfer rates. Someone said there are no lights when charging, there is on the external power supply. You can also check the status on windows. I have been very pleasantly surprised by this machine. The only thing I’m unsure of is the hinge when open become the front feet while on a desk. I have never seen this before so unsure if that will increase wear with age. So only time will tell with that. I’m delighted and would say for an average user this will suit a lit of people. % would recommend to friends and family.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great budget laptop

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersIt is easy to use, and it’s been great so far but the battery life is not as long as I expected and the speakers are not loud enough. But its a great laptop all together, its fast, the resolution is very good as well

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersA good laptop replacement for my old E6410. A pity that initially Microsoft Edge continued to lock up and support from Microsoft was exceptionally poor. I had to install Google Chrome to get an internet connection. Edge now works, presumably due to installed updates but how and when that happened who knows? In short, good laptop with poor included app.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI’m a software developer and I came to England last month to do a master’s degree and I have searched for a good laptop for a month. I found that laptop in the end, but there is misinformation from the seller. You can add another 8GB ram to the laptop and it is 16GB ram with a good SSD. I strongly recommend i

The screen is only 1080p resolution, but the combination of the fantastic performance vs power use from the cpu, and the solid form factor have made this laptop a great ‘work machine’ choice. I’ve found that the AMD 3500U I picked really delivers great burst performance when I need to do some crunching but the battery does not suffer at all, the efficiency seems to be spot-on. The charge is replenished relatively quickly when plugged in too, and it’s been ideal for a quick lunch-time recharge to get through the second half of the day. It was be ideal if the screen was perhaps QHD, but to be honest even at 1080p it’s still a solid performer.

I really like my new laptop. It gives me everything I need and at a reasonable price. I looked at the reviews, then, quite frankly, ignored them. Personally, I think it all boils down to what you need it for. If you want something that is all singing, all dancing, well then buy a more expensive model.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersA great looking laptop with some powerful features, plus it’s Windows 11 compatible, but there are several downsides I feel.
One, the screen has a rather narrow viewing angle and is hopelessly dim in a sunlit room, even when the brightness is turned up.
Two, the key spacing on the keyboard is too far apart and too far away from the front edge of the board, making typing quite tiring on long sessions .
Three, the mouse pad thingy is not central, meaning that the right hand is continually moving left and right between typing and using the pad.
Four, I would have preferred the delete and backspace keys to be separated more.
However, I like the simple sleek, no frills look and it is fast and extremely capable.
And there’s one other moan – I don’t like Windows 10 or Micro-soft Edge. Too frequent bells, whistles and reminders and far too much unsolicited rubbish on the desktop with Edge. Not the computer’s fault I know, but it drives me nuts.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersEasy to use. Dell pop ups prompting to “buy, redeem etc” are a bit annoying – bu could be switched off.
Im a big guy with big hands but the keyboard is quiet comfy, fits well.
    Touchpad is quit responsive
Screen – for the price is more then okay.
Good enough for daily routine, browsing, movies, light gaming (LIGHT GAMING!!)
Boots fast, fans not too loud, unless you running some mad software/game
No backlight for the keyboard – as described
Battery life is good while new 5-6h if doing basic things, browsing, light work.
Will do for someone who’s interested in programming BASICS, learning etc.
Overall 4.5/5 stars – just because well, nothing is perfect.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGreat little computer at a good spec, was a bit concerned at not buying the top Pentium processors, but this is just great. I bought it 6 months ago and am still impressed. I have bought a laptop at similar spec and price before and that one is performs very well, but really weak plasticy build that feels brittle, this is compact and pretty sturdy feeling.

It has very nice surround sound and it makes me wonder why you’d spend much more money when you can get a laptop like this.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersMy parents are in their 80s and like many older folk struggle a little with the latest technology. I replaced their Windows 8 laptop with this and they have been over the moon with it. It boots very quickly with its SSD and the keyboard is very easy to use. They use it mainly for email and surfing and so don’t have need of large HDD storage.
Can’t pick fault with it really, but then it was a couple of hundred s more than their last one so that might be a factor. I guess you get what you pay for. Would happily recommend.

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersThis laptop is on the basic side, but as expected for the money. It feels very plasticky, the lid is easily marked with scratches (I just rested another laptop on top of it and it already looks a bit scraped)… but it is very comfortable to type on.
things I find hugely annoying though: When hovering the cursor over something, it clicks through without me clicking it, if that makes sense. I’m sure it’s a setting of some kind, but I haven’t worked out yet how to stop it doing that. And secondly, the touchpad is not centred on the laptop, or even the main keyboard without the number pad – it’s located more to the left. Which means that I constantly end up right-clicking instead of left-clicking. WHY would you design a laptop like that??
But apart from that, it’s light, easy to use, and will do the job I bought it for.

Golden Review Award: 84 From Our UsersI liked the speed it arrived. Could do without the forced selling of stuff on it though. This gives me problems with drivers and everything for the use. Even the use of word etc. When you buy the laptop and it says what’s on on it then that is what you expect. I do not want the perpetual trying to sell the top edition of word or security systems etc. I want it to have workable software ready to go. I do not want to find the version you got is so inferior it is not worth a damn. Then when you open up something you get constant reminders to purchase something. When it says what it has I expect to have a working, usable system on the laptop!
