I’m almost willing an ‘incident’ to happen just so I can use the evidence from this dashcam. The Amazon page is very helpful in setting up and using this dashcam. It’s easy to install and it features parking monitoring, g-sensor, loop recording, motion detection, super night vision and has a 170 degree wide angle. Good value too. Very happy. Recommended.

This is good quality camera, with sensor detectors and parking mode which is super handy. Picture quality is good and is suitable for taxis as it records inside too for any incidents. Great value for the price.

Lets be honest for the money tendered this is a real bargain, you get lots of features such as WDR,Night Vision, Gyro Sensor and parking monitor.

Easy to set up, i formatted a 64gb class 10 scandisk card to fat32 popped it in and ready to go, playback quality is good, night vision is not as good as others but for the price payed its fine, overall great dashcam if you need to record inside the motor and outside at the same time.

I have reviewed multiple dash cam cameras, but this is the first with a secondary camera that films inside the car. I am not a 100% what purpose this serves. I can only imagine one use, and that is if you are pulled over by the police, and you want to record the interaction?

Anyway, the front facing camera is good, but not amazing. The quality is good enough to capture most details of other road users. It is best hardwired into your car, but can be used with the wires tacked in other ways. The camera doesn’t come with an SD card (but that is probably to keep costs down), and it does recommend a high quality card.

This is the bargain basement dashcam the quality isn’t great it’s plasticky and feels cheap. The video quality is old tech. That all said it is very cheap and if you absolutely need a dash cam on a budget then it might suit you and fulfill your needs. It’s very basic but does the job ok. Records and stored files ok and the quality is decent enough to be used in the event of an accident etc

The HD Dual Dash Camera arrives safely packaged and boxed. With the order, you receive-
    1 x dual camera
    1 x car charger
    1 x USB-C computer transfer cable
    1 x car camera holder
    1 x USB flash drive
    1 x cleaning cloth
    1 x instructions

The camera is pretty easy to set up following the instruction manual. It’s powered on and charged via the included car charger. You need to power on the car, plug the car charger into the cigarette lighter port and the camera, and power on the camera to make sure both the inside and outside camera is functioning properly first. My camera arrived and started up without issue. It has an LED indicator light to indicate that it’s charging properly also.

You’ll need to order a micro SD card so that the camera can record and save footage, this isn’t included in the kit.
The camera is powered on via the on/off button. The camera automatically starts recording once powered on unless you press the OK button to stop it. From there you can select the menu button and choose from three modes- photo mode, playback mode and video recording mode. Each mode also has it’s own menu for recording and taking pictures.

The camera has a range of options and features for functioning that you can choose. You can loop record, adjust exposure, choose Wide Dynamic Range, motion detection mode, add a date and time stamp, choose resolution and more. It also has two really good features, the gravity sensor- which detects shock and sudden movement and will automatically lock to record from loop recording, and a parking monitor, which protects the car after parking. It will remain in standby mode after the car is parked and immediately turn back on and start recording for 30 seconds or so if any shock is detected, before shutting down. The camera also has a really good night vision function for recording once it’s dark.

With the included car holder and strong suction cup, the camera remains secure on the window screen to record both indoors and outdoors from the car. It has a mic built in for recording sound and a nice clear LCD screen.

Overall I think this is a really good dual dash cam. It has lots of helpful features and produces clear HD footage that can be transferred to your computer via the included USB stick which you insert the memory card into. The camera provides you lots of security for bumps and in the unfortunate case of accidents. It’s simple to function after memorising the instructions once or twice and functions really well. I think for the current price, it’s good value for this dual dash cam.

Very easy to use and install even for new drivers. It starts working immediately once the car power is on. The camera holder is easy to stick and strong suction to the front glass and not dropping at all. Tested it in the night time and the camera was brighting the front view even there was no light on the street and the car light was also off.
Overall, Good video quality, good value of money, highly recommend.

Easy to install, good video image

Not the slimmest but does packed with features.
    Good suction and pretty steady.
Good size 2” screen ( not touchscreen ) and you navigate via the button at the bottom, not the most user friendly, are you need to do up/down and OK- just take some getting use to.
The videos are nice a sharp at reasonable 1080p- which you can also choose low/high fps.
The second camera can just about recording the driver side ( ie: for side impact ) and perhaps for passengers if need be ( app drivers ).
There is a built in battery for the motion detection when parked.
Would be nice if the rear camera is included, similarly, Wifi for remote viewing- rather than physical remove the micro sd or USB C.
Good price at just over 40 with voucher, and in line with similar products.

The camera is dual, with the main camera facing forward and the second looking back from a side turret. The camera has a really neat trick in that the rear turret camera can be adjusted, even facing forward if you want. It is primarily intended for recording what happens inside the car, but you could use it to record what happens to the side of the car if someone is overtaking you or you have stopped to talk to the emergency services.

The maximum size of micro-SD card that can be accommodated is 64Gb, which is a little on the small side compared to the competition. It is a shame that the camera does not come with a micro-SD card included, even at 32Gb just to get you going, as I have come across plenty of cameras that do include them. Having said that, 64Gb cards are very inexpensive.

It is a really good feature of the camera that it automatically preserves the footage if a large impact is sensed. Some cameras require you to deliberately press a button to achieve that, which might not be the first thing on your mind if you have an accident. The camera also has a motion detection option, but this requires that the camera be powered at all times. For this, you may need to permanently connect the camera to the car, as modern vehicles cut out the power to the accessory socket after a fixed time.

The camera has loop recording and motion detection options, which are all standard fare when it comes to dash cameras. The duration of loop recording is limited to 3 minutes maximum, which is a bit short, but perhaps the manufacturer has decided that this is a compromise given the maximum size of memory card that can be used. Although the view to the rear is 170 degrees, you only get this within the cabin, which is where the rear view is intended for, and not out of the rear window. It does record what happens behind the vehicle, but only if it is not obscured by headrests, passengers, and the narrow viewing angle of the rear window. It is no substitute for a dedicated rear camera.

The controls are all familiar, although it would be better if the controls were on the rear face instead of underneath, where they are difficult to see and use. In practice, you don’t need to use these controls when driving, and I almost never touch the controls on the dash cams fitted to the cars belonging to my wife and I, so maybe this is no bad thing. Once the camera is set up, with things like the date and time entered, you can leave them be. There is no ability to enter the car registration number for evidence purposes so that it is watermarked onto the captured footage, which I would have preferred.

The online instructions say to turn off the motion detection and G-sensor sensitivity while driving, which makes no sense: what’s the point if you can’t drive with them on? No one wants to fiddle with those features every time you drive. The reason comes down to one of the major shortcomings of the camera, in that there is no GPS. The camera can’t tell that you are driving, and presumably does not have enough intelligence to detect continuous movement with the G-sensor rather than a single shock impact. Video taken with the G-sensor activated is automatically locked and will not be deleted when the card gets full due to loop recording. This means that while driving, the card could fill up with locked recordings.

The camera mount is simple, with the mounting sucker sliding onto the camera body at the top. This mounting point is not very robust, unfortunately, and is not the kind of quick disconnect system preferred by premium dash camera brands that allows you to remove the camera and hide it from view and possible theft and damage to your vehicle. Similarly, the power supply plugs directly into the camera and not into the mounting point. Having said that, this is not an expensive camera, and compromises can perhaps be expected. The plastic that the camera is made of feels softer than expected, but for the price, you probably can’t have everything. If the camera is left in place, I think that it should be stable and stay in place. Hopefully, it will be resistant to UV damage.

The power cable is USB-C, which is in compliance with the move to USB-C for connected devices. The 12 volt accessory plug has its own USB-A outlet so that you can plug other devices in at the same time, such as a phone charger. The cable is long enough to reach the camera near the rear view mirror and could be routed around the door seals for a more discrete installation. I personally prefer cameras to be wired into the car, but the accessory socket works well. There is a small tool or spudger included to help you lift car panels and seals if required, although the tool is very small. You also get a USB-C cable for connecting to a computer. The USB-C cables are not right angled, which is unusual as there is very little room between the top of the camera and the windscreen when the camera is installed and the charging cable gets in the way. I can always source an elbow adapter, but this really should be fitted to the accessory socket charge cable in the first place. Don’t make the mistake that I made when charging the camera for the first time: I plugged it into an intelligent charge port that didn’t recognise the camera and kept shutting off the voltage, making the camera continually restart.

Once the camera is charged, you can proceed to format the micro-SD card and set up the options that you need. I found that the images are not the best, but they are adequate given the resolution of the cameras. The night vision seems to be acceptable as well, and there are 4 IR LEDs on the interior camera to support that. There are lots of features on this camera, but a few are missing too, and I struggle to recommend it given that there are plenty of full-featured cameras available for just a little more. I really liked the novel way that the interior camera is built into a turret. It serves the purpose for a low-cost camera, but for long-distance driving, I prefer to have GPS available.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of features, but no GPS. Flexible interior camera.

This is a perfect basic kit … tho even saying basic compared to several years ago is maybe a bit mean as the features are so much better than they used to be. I haven’t hard-wired into the vehicle yet, just ‘soft-wired’ to test things out. You get a cigar lighter power lead, and the front and rear cameras are in one unit. Note the rear-facing one may or may not capture someone ramming you from behind. It seems more like a ‘taxi’ type internal capture camera. This is probably OK and just a cheap camera compromise. Most cars I see have one person with no passengers, so point the rear camera right, and it’ll probably capture stuff external to the rear, just not so effectively as a properly fitted rear camera. Anyway, the screen on the unit is OK, nothing special. The video capture is pretty good. As good as my cheap home security units, so definitely viewable and with sufficient clarity to capture details. Night vision is also decent tho in greyscale. It all just turns on, you adjust things to suit, and you’re away. You will need to buy a Mini SD BTW, that supports video capture … don’t just go for the cheapest, check this. Buy it at the same time unless you have one so you get set up asap. Even so, adding the SD cost, you are still getting a cheap and decent unit. I want to hard-wire it properly so it can run all the time. I like South Korean crime drama, and they’re always catching the bad guys with fixed car camera footage – haha. Maybe I can catch the fly-tipper who’s leaving their junk in our street!

This dash cam is really well packaged and well thought out and made. However you will need to provide an SD card for the recording function to work, and also it needs an additional kit to have it hard wired for the ‘parking facility’ to work. I misread the description of parking facility to mean it would sense when you are coming close to an object and it would warn you not to hit it, instead the term ‘parking’ actually refers to the camera

Small dash cam that is unobtrusive when positioned in the car, and it captures and records in decent quality too.

The obvious advantages of having such a device in your car are too obvious to be listed here so all we need to know is, a) does it work adequately? (The question has already been answered above); b) does it have additional features? (Yes it does – read the product spec); c) is the price reasonable? (definitely: you’ll have to pay quite a bit more if you want better quality).

So, a good overall package that provides value for money.

The product has been very well packaged and arrives in a nice gift box and should contain the following items and accessories as follows; A user manual, 2 x window clings, a window clean, a window cling removal stick, USB adaptor, USB_C data transfer cable and a power cable for the camera itself which has a cigarette lighter male plug on one end.

There are two points to cover regarding the operation of the dash cam and that is firstly, as this is not part of the kit, to be able to record, you will need to purchase a high speed Micro SD card which must be class 10 or above. This needs to be inserted into the end of the camera. Secondly, if you intend to run the camera on a 24 hour parking monitor basis, you are going to need to acquire a hardwire kit, as this too is not part of the initial purchase.

The Vlokda dash cam has a decent enough screen size which is 2 inches x 1 inches with a resolution of 1080P which is true of both the outer and inner cameras. The inner camera, having a large aperture f/2.0 lens and surrounded by four infrared LED lamps allows the camera to give good clear recordings when in darker conditions although the resulting image will be in grey. The dual lenses of this camera will capture video footage of both the inside and outside of the vehicle simultaneously with the images being in 1920 x 1080P at 30 frames per second.

The means by which to operate and set the various menus for the camera lies at the bottom of the unit, where you will find 5 small buttons. From left to right these are the Menu button, up navigation, the power switch, the down navigation button and lastly, the ok button.

On the reverse side of the camera lies the microphone, the 2 inches x 1 inch screen and the 180 degree rotational cabin or inside camera and turning the dash cam over again to view the top, you will be able to access the cameras ‘C’ type charging port, the mount connector and the rear camera port. The side of the dash cam houses the SD micro card slot and a reset button.

The camera features a built in gravity sensitivity sensor which will be instantly fired up whenever a sudden shock to the vehicle like a parking knock or a road collision is sustained and will lock this video into an ‘event’ file. This video recording will last for 30 seconds. This will ensure that your all-important video footage is stored away safely and can no longer be overwritten. These locked files can be deleted manually. The sensitivity of this collision detector is fully adjustable and should be set at a reasonably low level to prevent accidental triggering of the device which will result in your camera being locked.

Your recording medium comes in the form of a micro SD card which, as mentioned above, you will have to purchase separately from the camera. According to the manufacturer, the dash cam is capable of holding a maximum card size of 64 Gb which should be of class 10 or above. Within the camera, it is possible to set this device into loop recording mode allowing the unit to continuously record by simply wiping out or recording over old footage.

In summary, The dash cam is very easy to install and at this retail price of just a penny under 58 quid, I reckon you’re getting quite a lot for your money here when taking into account its controllability through its wide and varied menu choices and the fact that it has a pretty decent recording quality and screen reproduction. If you so choose to purchase and invest in the hardwire kits which are readily available to enable a 24 hour power source to the camera, you will further enhance the dash cam’s capabilities. Having said the above, some of these dash-cam kits do come with an SD card inclusive in the price which this one unfortunately doesn’t. This added cost and inconvenience might just put some prospective buyers off, hence one star off.

This is a good value car cam, the more expensive ones tend to be larger and this one hid behind my rear view mirror easily, good suction attachment and easy to adjust view. Inside monitoring a nice feature, would have preferred to have a sd card included, but they are not that expensive. A good option for a first car camera to see how you feel about having one. The packaging was very good and this would make a nice gift. I did struggle to download though, but I am old!

    Good value

This requires little installation, all you do is pop it in to your 12 volt supply, pop it on the window and the basics are ready to go.

The set up consists of a front facing camera, and a rear camera for inside the vehicle, I’m guessing this is good for taxi’s, minibuses etc, but not really necessary in a family car.

Once installed, the camera image is displayed on a small screen on the dash cam.

The recording loops, so you shouldn’t need to replace the SD Card, but its worth checking all is working often

The overall recording quality is good, even in poor light, better than I thought it would be.

You also have lots of icons and interface on the screen, which cover lots of features.

All in all this is good, installation is easy

It does come with an SD card, you’ll need one before you can start using, an SD micro USB adaptor is included for when you want to watch back on the PC

Both our cars have dash cams and one has already paid for itself when we was hit by another car, he backed into our vehicle whilst we where stationary then drove off, catching it on cam helped us to win a claim.
This cam has a few more functions than the one we have fitted to our main vehicle, it records the inside so captures what happens, the lens can be adjusted but just in the way you can spin it round 180degrees from pointing backwards to facing forward, all the cams other features you can read about in the product info so I am not going to list.
I have hot wired both vehicles cams into the vehicles electric systems using kits, the vehicle this one is going in I am going to have to go through it all again as this cam uses a type C connection and the old cam uses a much older style, I prefer that they come on when I start the car that way so I don’t ever forget to turn it on when driving off, so for now this is just plugged in direct, if the intruder alarm function is needed it has to be wired to a constant live circuit, if that function is needed it’s no good using the cigar lighter connector supplied if your power point does not stay live when the ignition is turned off, I have my current cam wired into ignition on fuse, if I decide to use the intruder alarm I will have to use a permanently live fuse, the other thing with that function is you have to turn it on and off, it can run all the time but it will use up memory space on the card as it will keep recording movement, so I think this will be a function I am not going to use.
The cam because of it’s rear facing camera is quite a bit bigger length wise than our old one, this takes up a little more room on the screen, with our vehicle being an MPV it has a large screen and the sucker bracket on this still fits like the old one just behind the mirror placing the cam dead center just underneath with the inward cam just protruding out, in my case I still have plenty of visibility, but it still has to be removed from the screen for the MOT.
Image quality is as good as my others and easy to download, this cam does not come with a SD card you need to buy one and they recommend at least a 64G, so far this has been working well I just need to get around to rewiring, I have the original cams cable hidden under the roof lining running behind the A pillar trim and kick panel trim then guided under the dash to the fuse box, I’m not looking forward to going through all that again but it will be worth it.

    Seems To Work Well
